Great karaoke on the weekends! KJ is an awesome host, you add songs via your phone—which is really convenient, I've realized—and the mics and sound system are great! After an hour or so, the queue gets pretty long, so be aware and plan ahead!
Drinks were not that great but a pretty fun karaoke bar. I was just visiting San Francisco and me and my girlfriend enjoyed this place.
The karaoke host was extremely cool and professional. Nothing but good vibes out of the Gold Dust Lounge. They even dealt with my autistic family well. Cx
My experience here was definitely and positively too an unforgettable one. I spent some fun-filled moment here in the company of my friends. The energy and excitement was simply amazing. I couldn't help laughing after I had my karaoke session and my friends kept telling me how super awesome they enjoyed the song I sang.
Great karaoke bar. Fun place and reasonably priced drinks.
My family was in the bay this past weekend and started every night at the Gold Dust. The karaoke selection is wide and the programmer was fun, a great host. The drinks are good too!
A must for Karaoke lovers and those who may have not ever even tried it. Had a blast here with a large group - the space is actually much larger than it may appear from the outside. Their music library is beyond impressive and so extensive and the acoustics are great but also allow for having personal conversation. The host had a ton of energy and kept things moving smoothly. The bar is large and there are even TV screens that provide you on updates on who's next too. A great way to spend a night in SF. #LetsGuide
Lots of fun and the DJ there is great
Had a great time here as we watched both good and bad karoake singers alike. Drinks were reasonably priced and the bartenders were responsive. Can't see any reason to give this place any less than 5 stars!
Fun place to bring a group or be at if you enjoy karaoke. The bar is a lot bigger than you think. Towards the back of the bar there is a pool table and darts. Karaoke stage is right as you walk in from the street. If it is a crowded night, usually filled with tourists or business conventioneers standing in the area, it can take awhile to get up on stage to sing. So signed up as soon as you can or you will be waiting for a long time! There a live MC to get the party started. Huge karaoke music selection to choose from. Your song is most likely there on the play list. There is a bouncer at the door checking IDs (be sure to bring your Drivers License or passport) to be sure your 21. No ID, no go in. #Accessbility - easy to get in thorough the door.
Cool spot to hang out, best Karaoke bar in SF area
Lively bar with a great beer and wine selection. The bar is open to anyone as long as you provide any form of identification. Another interesting thing about Gold Coast is Karaoke where they allow anyone to perform their favorite songs with text displayed on the TV screens. I highly recommend Gold Dust as a place to hang out if you find yourself around Northpoint.
Dude.. Trey and Lauren are the best KJs out here in the best coast...you gotta see to believe it.
I had the time of my life. The host/MC/DJ is so wonderful she has a great knowledge of music and if you struggle with shyness or suffer from lyrical amnesia she helps by back up singing and her voice and spirit gets the butterflies in your stomach to calm down and you FEEL like the karaoke king or queen you're ment to be IN other words she's makes everyone who sings feel welcome appreciated and talented Nate the bartender mixed great glasses of liquor courage and ROCK THE HOUSE WHEN HE SANG WAR PIGS it was a great way to bring in the New Year with song laugher and cheers
The sound system in that place was off the hook it's pretty cool good surroundings
The experience I had here with my friends is inexplicable. We came as a group and did a beautiful Karaoke together. The people are warm and fun. The place is a perfect spot for weekend hangout with friends and family. The bar tenders were also very courteous and friendly. #WheelchairAccessible #Karaoke #Bar #Fun
Lots of memories for me that make this place very special. Touristy, cheap drinks, great staff right next to wharf. Great place to break away from the nonsense have a drink and sing karaoke in the evening. The place is fun, that simple
The bartender was very attentive and the drinks were delicious. They have jenga and it made it all the more fun.
Favorite bar in San Francisco! Funny staff great community.
Went here on a Friday night and there was only 1 bartender. There were a ton of fruit flies concentrated at the end of the bar close to the dart boards. It looked like it would be a fun place, but was sorely disappointed. We had plans to stay longer but left after 1 round of drinks.
Great location. Amazing bartenders. SUPER fun place for a night out!
New owners have shot the prices through the roof compared to what it was . Understaffed service for the tables means extended wait times . Last time I visited we walked out after no one came around for our orders. Avoid the live band selections are all over the place and weak.
The place was comfortable, nice and peaceful atmosphere. The drinks were super. My only disappointment was we were there early evening and there was no Karaoke, you know i wanted to sing and be a star!!!
It was a fun upbeat place. Their main focus was drinking and karaoke. Not a far walk from nearby hotels. Right along side Fisherman's Warf.
Open mic karaoke where everybody can join the fun and feel accepted.
Incredibly fun place. They have a wide range of songs to choose from, and an amazing deejay who knows all the songs and sings with you to help you along if you have trouble starting/changing key/singing odd sounding bridges. They have a small dance floor for dancing as well.
Excellent place for a drink. Comfortable and friendly.
Fun place! Karaoke was good. Bartender was great but over-worked! Only one in there.
Epic bar. Old school feel, metal-tipped darts and ultra-jenga made this a memorable stop. Bartender was a badass chick who knew the area well. Will totally return
If i could give this place a zero i would. Besides being old and dirty, there were only 2 bartenders on a busy Friday night, so needless to say, slow service. 5 plus minute wait for a beer. To top off the evening one of the bartenders gave my friends credit card to someone else, who’s card looked similar, i guess, and that person went on to spend more money at Denny’s after hitting this bar. The bartender did apologize but didn’t really care to do anything further. My friend was visiting from out of town and went back the next day , to see if her card was turned in, and the day staff was rude and uncaring to her dilemma. Lesson learned; don’t trust these bartenders with your credit card.
Quiet, but nice. Lots of abba song getting played.
Friendly good service, great atmosphere
Not really like the original on Powell. Same decor but not the same vibe.
Seems like they've had better days, but over all an okay experience.
Great night finishing with a karaoke, when I tortured everyone with a Hot Chocolate rendition. Sorry folks but I loved it. Americans are great sports and can sing well.
My friends and I had fun drinking and singing karaoke here. The bartender was courteous and prompt in his service. The only caveat is that you'll need your smartphone to sign up for karaoke. Still, even if you don't partake in that, the drinks are well made, the seats are comfy, and the bathrooms are clean. Would recommend
Treated us like family karaoke was great
Lots of Karaoke fun! Great bartenders, great clientele. The KJ was really good too. Would definitely go back when I go back to the Bay Area.
This place was a cool little find. Nothing too fancy, it was pretty slow but there were a few folks in there and we all had a pretty good time. The DJ/Karaoke guy was a riot and knew how to liven up the dozen or so people there. The price of drinks were reasonable for SF. The bartender was definitely not a social type. I would recommend if you want a super casual semi dated (flare) place.
Service was ok, interesting atmosphere
Open late, fun place to go to with your friends
Very friendly bartender and the supervisor...relaxed kareoke bar close to the cruise terminal!
This place has it all location great bartenders. Funnest karaoke ever the crowd lasted til close. 5 stars Stay Classy SF!!!
Great atmosphere, great people, great time.
best service ever figure it out SKAAAAL
Very drag, very gay.... but a ton of fun, went there with some gay friends, had some strong drinks and good laughs... great vibes from this place! And I'm not even gay! Would definitely visit again, great place to go on. Thursday night out in the Wharf/North Beach area
If you love coming to a touristy spot where there is literally one bartender for 40 people, and they will look over you for whoever is shouting at them the loudest, then this spot is perfect for you! Check it out - perfect for locals who hate good service, tourists who dislike good service, and those who truly appreciate horrid service.
Strong drinks very cool place
Local Edition is a great place to unwind and have a good drink. The ambience of the bar is perfect and there are candles and vintage typewriters used as decor. Drinks are good. We went once when there was music playing and there was a small dance floor in front of the stage. Looking for a cozy speakeasy? Go to Local Edition.
Kind of an old-time San Francisco saloon. This place makes you feel as if you're taken back to an older time, one with horse drawn carriages and old-western shootouts... right in the middle of San Francisco. I recommend grabbing a late-night drink after work or after hours and see what kind of trouble you can get into while in the wild west. Prices are good and drinks are made decently. Enjoy your time and save your energy.
Should’ve known it was blah when there were only two people at the bar. Pass this one by.
Dive bar but that is my kind of place. Locals go and have fun with the tourist, drink prices are decent.
It's a great place to relax and there's also karaoke
Good vibes, personable bartender and fun place to go with friends.
Love this place. Have loads of fun with the darts and big Jenga. Have karaoke everynight and drinks are affordable! Friendly staff too.
A really sad experience. Was expecting a lot, but the bartender took over half an hour (on a very slow night) to even acknowledge me or group at the bar. We decided to leave somewhere with better service, but this bartender truly did not care or work with any sense of urgency.
Vegasish bar yet interesting in its own way
Old classic bar with piano player. Very authentic
A good place to enjoy. Even on a Thursday night, not much crowded, but people come and enjoy the karaoke with a drink. They don't have much variaties of alcohol but can manage with what they have. The doors are open to the outside and outsiders see all the enjoyment in the inside. They do not serve food. The service is also good.
Great cocktails and fantastic service!
We were visiting the Pier at night when we found this place. It was a mixed crowd..good people. DJ host for Kareoke was really good at keeping the crowd entertained. Don't worry if you can't sing... you're there to have a good time in front of strangers you may never see again...plus everyone is drunk. Good times
Gold Dust Karaoke is a lovely place to hangout with friends. It is well lit and entertaining. There's a bar and live music corner. They are opened all night and a continuous karaoke display too. No public restroom here. ♿There's wheelchair entrance but the sitting arrangements seems so tight for wheelchair movement.
Such a fun spot to come with a group of your close friends to enjoy a nice of drinks and singing. Make sure to put together requests in early when there is a crowd, because it took about 40 minutes to an hour to get to the stage after putting your request in. The energy and atmosphere was amazing and everyone was cheering everyone on on the stage. The karaoke "DJ" was high energy and really helped create a great vibe. Make sure to tip them, something I didn't know to do until I read a tiny sign.
Good place to have a quick drink and rest my feet while shopping in the area.
Love it here at the Goldust. No trip to the Wharf is complete without a couple drinks at the Goldust. Bartenders are always friendly and the bathrooms clean. The old school decor and ambiance are great . Only bag thing is the drinks are a bit pricey, but I get it it's a tourist area .
Had an amazing time, reasonably priced alcohol and great atmosphere. As well as a Very welcoming group of regulars!
Place is so cool, best karaoke in the SF area. CX
I went late at night for a beer with a friend. It was literally the only place open for drinks within walking distance of his hotel. The crowd appeared to be mostly tourists, and they had obviously started drinking well before we had. The karaoke performances were about what you'd expect at 1am on a Saturday night/Sunday morning in a tourist venue. The drink offerings were pretty standard. Service was a bit slow, and the barkeeps weren't great at remembering who was at the bar first for taking drink orders. The ambiance was also not really my scene. But hey, it was open, which is more than the other establishments around there could say. It wasn't a bad place, just wholly unremarkable. I'd go back under similar circumstances.
