My wife and I had our wedding reception/dinner at Firehouse and we were overwhelmed with how everything turned out. We reserved the rooftop that overlooked Mission Blvd and had beautiful view of the ocean. Our section & the staff were ready to go even though we showed up 45 minutes early! (Sorry about that crew :) Dan was our server and he was fantastic. He was quick, friendly and took care of all of are guest very well. The manager (i wish i could remember her name) was present the whole time and made sure we were all happy and everything was up to our expectations! She was also fantastic!! Food was AWESOME and we couldn't have asked for a better time and place to hold our reception! A HUGE thank you to the staff and everyone at FIREHOUSE!

I went here with some friends on a Friday afternoon for lunch with some friends. It has a great rooftop with an ocean view! There were a lot of college kids partying which were kinda loud - but we made sure not to sit by them. We decided to split a few different items - we got buffalo cauliflower, surf and turf nachos, and the seafood tower. All of the food was great! The seafood tour was very fresh and had a variety of everything you could possibly imagine - even ahi tuna! It's a great place to grab some drinks and a few bites with friends for a good view!

I went here on Sunday to have brunch and wasn’t disappointed! It has a beautiful view of the ocean and the rooftop is gorgeous. They have a play on McDonald’s menu which is really fun. Get the frozé!!

We enjoyed our dinner here. My wife though the chicken Parmesan was fantastic. The chicken portion was very generous. It was served with some very good toast - not garlic - perhaps buttered sourdough? I had the grilled fish tacos. Pretty good deal at $3 each on Tuesday nights. Nothing special, but they did the job. The hostess and servers were friendly and efficient. The downstairs dining room was empty, but plenty of folks were enjoying the open air upstairs area. They have a nice little bar up there too.

Firehouse is a great place to come with family or friends! Location is perfect, it is right on the beach. If you want to have a beautiful view of the ocean, make sure to book a table on the rooftop! Also their handcrafted cocktails are so good.

The food looked and tasted great but way over priced for the portion of food. Staff was friendly but was slow. Great view of the ocean with awesome seating. Over all it's more of a fun night time bar seen then restaurant.

Great food Good service Disrespectful and incompetent bartender Waited over 30 minutes to have my parties bill split, took several tries to get back the proper bill. My favorite was when I got a bill with my card but the reciept displayed the last four digits of a different card. Asked to speak to a manager and was asked to go upstairs to meet him, he couldnt be bothered to come to our table.... Perhaps I should set up a new POS for them too... like I said great food and good service during dining, but at the end it all collaposed into gross incompetence.

Absolutely love this place! Been to San Diego twice now and both times had an absolutely amazing time! Today we got waited on by Jameson and she was honestly the best server I've ever had! Came over at the perfect times, always made sure our water and drinks were full and just truly genuine as a person! Couldn't be more happy with the service and the food was soooooo good! Definitely try the acai bowl! It was like a fruity ice cream rather then a yogurt, now I'm going to crave it all the time! So good!!

Nice spot i decided to visit the beach and came across firehouse, not so much of a wait getting in but the bar line was kinda crazy. 2 story bar small areas but plenty of places to sit and dance. Good vibes, young crowd and alot of alcohol options. I would come here again to be honest.

Wait and wait and wait on a Wednesday night. Comped one meal but service was pretty bad without an apology. Asked for a manager and they never showed up. Not sure what happened. Food and wine was good but everything else, not so much.

I love everything about sandiego. Every restaurant we have ever eaten in has always been a success. I will say this place has the best burgers and tomato soup I have ever had. Incredible flavors great quality. Very cool seating up top.

The bouncers and managers here need to act more professional and study/learn licenses before taking one. I went here two Sundays ago and they let me in no trouble then I went back to my hotel and came back 5 minutes later and the same bouncer that let me in asked me for another form of id and I handed him my old student id. I asked him what looks fake about mine and he said many things. He then took my id and said if I want it back search for a cop and that they are near the bar. I did and did not find one and when I came back I told them I need an id seizure form for them taking my id. It may be theft that they took mine in the first place. They went inside and did not say anything to me for 20+ minutes as I waited outside. Finally they came out and said they did not have a form and I called 911, cops came and told me nothing looks wrong with my id. They then scanned it and gave me it back. I believe the manager was who talked to me and searched for the seizure form. He should have double checked the id. I do not think anyone should take someones id, but if you do I think you should have proof that it is fake. I hope this post makes Firehouse never do this again to anyone and study licenses more. This ruined one of my nights on a short vacation but I am glad I got my id back because I had a flight the other day. Also, I was basically fully sober and very nice to the bouncer and manger the whole time and they were rude/disrespectful/made me feel uncomfortable to talk the entire time.

Went on a Saturday night, music was okay, drinks were affordable. If you are from NYC this place is cool to go and people watch lol. Crowd is on the younger side though. The service is good, parking around the area is tough on a Saturday night.

This place is nice, but certainly a bit overpriced. I went with a group of friends for a brunch. We all got a food item and two drinks and it ended up being $48 a person! Still, they have a nice rooftop deck and the location is nice. No ocean views from the roof, but it’s just a half a block away from the water.

Not such a good experience here. Took 20 minutes to just get the menus after being seated. Had a burger that was undercooked to my preference and had only been helped once the entire time my party was there. To top things off, they gave themselves an eighteen percent gratuity. Thankfully the manager was kind and understanding with our experience, a definite do not recommend. Check out PB ale house instead, or anywhere but here.

Always a good time, they have DJ most of the time and the food and drinks are at a very reasonable price considering the location. However, I was on the rooftop and when I tilted my head and looked up I saw a massive thick layer of dirt covering fans and other equipment... made me wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen...

I only went here for drinks, but I really enjoyed the decor. Their beer selection is ok as well as the prices, but I really dug the feel of it. There is a lot of stone and fire, there's a rooftop lounge with heating lamp to keep you warm. There wasn't a long wait to get in and it was easy to find a seat to catch up with friends. I had fun there.

This place needs a clean up and an update on their information about their requirements to get in. Their food quality isn’t what you pay for! only good thing about this place was their free valet parking. Very Disappointed with this place. What I thought would be a good place to go have lunch with some family members that were visiting from outside the country turned out to be very embarrassing. As we walk up to the entrance we are greeted by a bouncer who asks us for our ID’s. My cousin hands him his passport and he says we don’t take passports as forms of IDs. The bouncer then proceeded to say just so you know next time you can’t come in with shorts!!! Wth? You’re located in a tourist area right by the beach! Has anyone told this guy that passports are legal forms of IDs? We get seated. I’m waiting for my other cousins to show up by this time I had texted them to bring their IDs not their passports. They walk up show their IDs the bouncer says we can’t take these IDs. He said you can go in if you’re not drinking my cousin explains they’re only having lunch. As they proceeded to the hostess the bouncer steps in and informs the hostess “sit these two downstairs”.... my cousin explains they were meeting family inside already. They join us when we noticed another security guard come and stands right behind us like if he was doubting us just watching us the whole time. By this point we’re very uncomfortable but had already ordered our food so we proceeded to eat our lunch. By now I’m already upset because everyone around us was wearing casual beach clothing and I’m noticing all these things that were wrong with this place and I start questioning myself if they’re making it seem like this is a 5 star high end dining place. Why is there so much work to be done here?

We went here with a big group(25) for brunch. Great food and excellent service! Yummy mimosas! The staff was super attentive and the food came out pretty quickly . Or maybe it didn't and I just didn't notice after my mimosas! Wink, wink!! We sat upstairs and I would go back again.

Went here on a lazy Thursday around 2pm. Breakfast is served until 3pm along with their bottomless Minosas. The menu is very diverse. We sat on the rooftop patio near the viewing area so we can look out onto the beach. They had a bartender, waitress, and busser on staff. Waitress wasn't too impressive she seemed preoccupied with a hand full of tables she was socializing with but the bartender picked up her slack. We later noticed that the owner or general manager (petite blond woman) showed up and the waitress got on task. Other than that the experience was great. Drinks were perfectly made and food made very well, even though the ran out of donuts for the "Benny" they quickly subbed for Churro French Toast. I'd go again for sure and will recommend it to others in the future.

Lived in Pacific Beach for 2 years and Firehouse has always been my favorite spot! Great location, it’s right on the beach. The food is great for any time of the day, but especially for brunch and their bottomless mimosas. I always have the best service here and a great time! Definitely worth a visit.

This was such a good choice for brunch. Bloody Mary mix was outstanding, not to mention the hot pickle and the pickle juice salted rim. I got the classic American breakfast. The potatoes are homemade and seasoned well. The acai bowl was like a dream. There was so much granola and toppings. Our server Jameson was so attentive. I worked as a server for years and this girl read her tables well. She was there when we needed her and gave us space for us to enjoy our brunch when we needed it. She did an excellent job.

We have come to Firehouse, and it’s predecessor for 30 years. We loved it, and the kids loved it. Drove an hour to have lunch, and the place has turned into a dive bar. Wall to wall screaming drunks. The kids were very disappointed, and we walked out, after the greeter ignored us talking in her cell phone. We will never return

The 3 stars are because the place is beautiful, the ambiance is great if you're a college kid you would love this place since it's right by the beach, the food was extremely underwhelming and overpriced, we ordered the steak and eggs and were actually still hungry after so we ended up going to adalbertos for some food. Also the food took forever and the servers were weird either too pushy or nowhere to be found. Don't think would come again. I did like that they have valet and the first 2 hrs are free with validation.

We got the corner table on the second floor so we had an ocean view and a people watching perch. The food was great. If you're ordering red meat and want medium order medium well or you'll get medium rare. That was our only complaint. The service was good but they were busy so our waitress wasn't there much.

Great location, a few blocks from the beach. Very cool indoor/outdoor space. Expect large portions! We got the largest bowl of guac we've ever had, along with a huge burger and Caesar salad. We didn't get a chance to check out the rooftop.

I give this place 2 stars because the mimosas are great. As far as the service, well it's horrible, especially if you are someone of color. This isn't the first time this has happened to me while being here, like I said, the mimosas are great so I come here for those, but every time I come here and I'm the only person of color here I am looked at with a side eye and it seems like it takes forever for me to get any type of recognition or service. The waitress laughed, giggled, and kept up with every caucasian customer, but totally disregarded my existence even when I called for her. Needless to say I will be finding another place to enjoy my mimosas at that actually take the time to treat me like a human being regardless of my color, especially in 2019.

The blonde short hair employee girl hit me on the face just because I was approaching her and I didn’t tell anything disrespectful. This place sucks. You can’t see people kissing in public at the bar. Girls in OB are way more easygoing than there.
