Extremely disappointed with the service. It's really been going downhill lately. We came in on Father's day. The place was extremely hot, they sat us in the back and the A/C wasn't working where we were at. We waited for 40 minutes after ordering our food, nobody had came in to check on us or to refill our drinks. When I complained, the server informed us that our food hadn't been started yet, so we canceled. Even the appetizers hadn't been started.

Do not come here! Came here once and they did not have basic foods from the menu like beans, guac, salsa. Came here a second time to give it a shot and they wanted to take our order and we didn't even have a menu! The owner is the rudest business owner I have ever met. He could careless if you like his customer service or not. This place is a joke! People make this place fun not the staff and definitely not the owner!!!!!

food, o.k., service lacked continuity. It is a weak attempt at a chic and trendy latin vibe. I know its hard in the restaurant business to hit high levels of customer service, continually. But this place just shows little effort and concern for the most important aspect of their existence. We've been there twice and been disappointed, twice.

If I could give 0 stars I would, besides the food being less than impressive I let me friends convinced me into going back. Once we got there, the cover was $10 a person (its not a club but ok) once inside they wanted to sit us in the back unless we each pay $60 a person to be sitted near the front. We were planning on spending money regardless. However, their attitude and lack of customer service as well as wanting to sit us on a space that is designated as a waiting area left no desire of ever coming back again.

This place used to be the Squash Blossom (in English), and my wife used to speak at poetry readings here. It has now changed hands and is primarily Latino. Not really being in the mood for Mexican food, we were feeling a little nostalgic, so we stopped in, and I'm really glad we did. The food was pretty good, but the live music was tremendous. The staff and patrons were really friendly, and overall it was a good time. Let me say again, very talented musicians! We will definitely visit this place again.

If I could give a negative 1 review I would. I came here today for mother's day because my mom wanted to. Lets start here, the food sucked and had no flavor, the "salsa" that comes with the fajitas tastes like tomatoes, they only give you 2 tortillas for the fajitas plate which is $17.50, the coke I ordered was so flat just tasted so watered down, the service was awful we waited 30 minutes for our food when it wasnt that packed to begin with, and they forgot the pancakes my mom ordered, our waitresses kept leaving us hanging and only coming out when they realized they forgot us. Never coming back here again. It's overpriced for the terrible service and tasteless food.

My 1st time experience here was horrible, the food took about an hr. My empanadas where cold even from the middle, the asada tacos was salty and dry, salmon taco was good, and also the nalga de Indio. Food is overpriced.

Highly recommend. Breakfast was outstanding. The steak was cooked perfectly, eggs not too dry like most places do it, and perfectly seasoned potatoes. The waitress was wonderful. It was cold and we showed up before they opened and she let us in and got us coffee while we waited.

so honestly I thought the food was average, the music was great but the service was SLOW. It was so slow that it became a joke at our table. it was almost as if the kitchen staff did not show up until after the restaurant opened. i would be willing to give it one more try because i thought the food was good. The burgers and frys were ok but my friends mole enchiladas took a longer time to come out and were missing the mole. She had to wait a longer time to get replacement. She was told her meal would be discounted but they charged her full price. Pina colada was a bit flavorless. They did have great music and have a dance floor. Overall this establishment is probably better for dancing, some drinks but not the food or service.

I went there with friends to celebrate my Birthday because it had good reviews and my husband wanted to try it i said why not. The food is ok the drinks too, but the service was not, they are slow, and don't know the menu 2 different servers told us different descriptions of one dessert. My friend who paid the bill was overcharged $10. Saul was nice and tried to fix a problem. Overall not a good experience.

If you want to waste your time waiting around for about 2 hours, then this is the right place for you. The service was incredibly bad, and plus I got charged extra for things I didn't even order. But overall, avoid this place if you can, but if you want to try it, go ahead!

As sson as we walk in their was a musty smell and when the hosts took use to our table in the far back it small like urine and toilet chemicals it was so bad that we all (a party of 6) decided not to eat their and walked out.... This is by far one of the worst restaurant services that I have had. There’s a disorganization in th whole kitchen, my party and I have been waiting over 3 hours now for our food, and the worst of all is the appetizers have t even come in either. They have been giving us one plate of food per hour. People have been coming in and out with their plates and we just keep being forgotten. I hope this restaurant reorganizes their standards in the quality of service that they provide.

My wife and I went to La Flor de Calabaza last Sunday. The place is nice, the drinks are very good as well as the food. The mariachi played a joyful selection: it was worthwhile. The cons were: slow service and the parking is confusing: we parked in a place where an employee of the restaurant told us it was ok because it was weekend, but ten minutes after I saw a guard of the ASU taking photos of my car. I went outside and the man told me that I will have a ticket. Another employee came and talked to the guard and told me that everything was ok after all.

This place offers a live band that plays and sings alternative rock music in Spanish. This is typically offered on Saturdays after 11pm only. Food- try the flor de calabaza quesadilla, it's quite delicious. Tastes great with their Michelada. The michelada can be made with your choice of beer, I prefer Modelo Negra. 3.5 stars because they don't have a lot of staff who can serve large parties quick enough on a late Saturday night. Also the bar gets overwhelmingly busy at times. I have only ever been at this place late Saturday nights.

Great place downtown to listen to live Spanish music. Weekends they have Rock en Español. Food is really really good. They make it from scratch. Their salmon tacos and shrimp tacos are AMAZING and they are only $2.50! I just wish they were open on TACO TUESDAY!

The live band was outstanding, the drinks were priced great. They also have a full menu with appetizers if you get there early enough. We arrived about 9:30 and we were able to order food. Please call ahead to see what time they stop serving food. We parked in front in a regular city parking spot.

First time being there last night the waitress was good they have a band playing 1950's Mariachi music if ur into that food city music .......lol the food had a good flavor I order this (pic) with carne asada inside of it the guest order tacos......the meat they use had to be from the lowest quality of meat around just with a good flavor lol but the lowest quality of meat was used due to the fact that my guest n I had to keep spitting meat into our napkins cuz u couldn't chew thru it..... fat n nerves r forever nasty n apparent in low quality meat. so every two bites I had to spit what u can't chew ......even tho I tried but after ten minutes chewing on it I would have to say chewing on my leather boat after I cook it would have been easier....when we were done eating looked like a basketball on our table of napkins with chunks of fat nerves from the cheap meat they use wrapped around napkins I kept asking for. I told myself I should have ordered the chicken but than thought if the meat they used is low quality they must buy chicken legs n not beast to serve people with..........plz follow me for more reviews I'm not paid by anyone for my honest reviews

Great food! Really it’s super yummy. The star is reflecting the service. I’m not picky at all when it comes to restaurants but the girl serving our table Esperanza, provided inadequate service. I had asked for pollo adobado, and she brought me the picadillo plate. When I brought this to her attention she asked me “are you sure?” As if I didn’t know what I had ordered. Not to mention that she initially forgot our drinks, forgot ice cream on our churros, and neglected to check up on the table. There are far too many things that I am disappointed about during my experience here. However, all I can really say is that she left plenty to desire about her service Something to add is that the music and ambiance is great! Defenitley give the food and music a try!

The service is terrible; one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. The only good thing about them are the drinks. This was our first time coming here. We were seated and only wanted drinks for the time being. The waitress left a menu in case we wanted to order anything. She wrote my family's order in which my brother ordered a different beer to put in his special order michelada than what they usually do. The waitress came back and asked what the beer was, even though it seemed like she wrote it down. After that, she did not come to our table whatsoever for more then half an hour and didn't even try to make eye contact with us when she seated a couple. The michelada spilled a little but we didn't have any napkins. We were ready to order food but the waitress did not come. We were fed up and had to go up to the front to ask for our check. This is ridiculous and this is not the only review complaining about the service. Review after review about the terrible service and yet nothing is done. The owner responds and says they're short-staffed and busy and says they're not trying to use that as an excuse, yet it seems like it is. Bottom line: Service is terrible and slow.

Good, solid food but for a Mexican food foodie, I was disappointed in their microwave-warmed tortillas. Their enchiladas were tasty but stale too. Tortillas warmed in a microwave get stale as they get cold. Warming them on the griddle is much more effective. Good ambiance.

Worst place to eat!! Very air heads Waitresses!!! You ask for drinks and it takes them forever to being them or they forget. Sad part is that it was not even busy to give them that excuse! They dont know their Menu. When i asked to speak to a manager because we didnt get what we ordered. He gave us a Complimentary dessert to fix all the confusion. Well at least i thought it was complimentary because i never asked for it... lol I guess I am stupid because when i asked for my bill. GUESS what was on my bill?! NOT only did i get charged for the extra Dessert I got charge for an extra soda only had 2 sodas I got charge 3 sodas!!!!! So i call the "manager" to ask why i was charged for the dessert he brought to our table. He Apologized and asked the waitress to take it off our bill. She literally throw a tantrum like a 5 year old. While physically holding him by his arms to argue with him. Even though He was just trying to fix her mistake . So not only lupita was over charging me. she was throwing a tantrum right in front of everyone. I wish a had my phone ready to video tape her! Very unprofessional very disappointed about this place. it's all over the Internet and Facebook that it's a great place to go eat. So we gave it a try . If you wanna give it a try your more than welcome. my recommendations are to go with low hopes and to always check your receipts for those gold diggers!!! Overcharged $10 wish i could give ZERO stars!!!! Saul is the one person that i would give 5 stars to. He void the extra dessert but at the end i did get charged for 3 sodas when we only had 2. My bill was $138 for my friends and me. It's not like $ 2.95 will break me but its called Honesty at the end!!!!!!!!
