Typical-looking bar and the food was pretty good. My husband had the halibut burger and he really enjoyed it. I had the crispy chicken burger and it was a little dry. Tje salmon chowder was good though. Service was great!!

Humpys is one of my favorite pubs in Anchorage. They have a great selection of beers and ales. They have the best seafood selection in Anchorage, wonderful appetizers, everything prepared to order, all seafood local. Live alternative style music nearly every night, casual and friendly staff. Also outside seating if you prefer.

The service was prompt and friendly. I went in to sample a few of the beers that Anchorage is known for, and the waiter had excellent suggestions for me, including a lesser known but better tasting amber ale. There were many others on tap that I didn't get to try. Would recommend to anyone who is a fan of a good beer, or anyone who wants to catch a game on TV. I didn't try the food but their menu items looked tasty.

Worth every penny. Good, cheap beer and some absolutely fantastic fish. Get the Halibut fish and chips and you will leave full and satisfied. It took me 15 minutes of steady eating to clear my plate and I totally forgot about my beer while I was eating.

The food is fantastic! We are visiting from Canada and were impressed with the fresh and well prepared fish. The crabby patty, fish and chips, salmon and halibut were great! We sat on the patio outside as the dining room was a bit too dark for us. On first impression the restaurant doesn’t look like much as it’s outdated but the patio was the perfect choice.

Great selection of beers! The night my husband and I went they also had live music playing hits from the early 2000’s (talk about fun). The only reason I left off a star would be for the service, our server acted annoyed when we ordered drinks and food. We ordered the pretzel appetizer which was good.

I'm sorry to say that we were disappointed. We walked in to a completely packed house. We were told to seat ourselves. When we asked how, they said just cruise back and forth and wait for someone to get up. We literally had to hover around the tables and wait for a party to begin to get up. We were then told to go and hurry and sit at that table before someone else did. Well we're now sitting at a dirty table. While they did come and clean it up quickly, it's just not the experience we were expecting. Being in Alaska, we wanted to experience real Alaskan seafood. We ordered the Alaskan King Crab meal ($54). It consisted of (1lb) two crab legs that were somewhat watery and mushy. More disappointingly however was the Scallop and Salmon fettuccine ($27.50). The Scallops were there, but the Salmon does not come as a steak as you would expect, rather it is minced Salmon that is just in the sauce. It appeared and felt like they collected up all the scraps from other salmon meals prepared that day and just tossed them into the sauce. The scallops are whole, I'm not sure why the Salmon wouldn't be. In the end, we spent $100 on a mediocre meal that I feel I could have gotten for much less money at Red Lobster.

Came across this place, after dinner for a nice drink on our first day in Anchorage. We started at the downstairs bar trying some of the local brews, with some members having a beer flight option. A band started playing downstairs and people gradually filled in (we were a bit early). We then noticed they had another rooftop bar upstairs, which was absolutely amazing. With the sun out late, a live band and great drinks. This is a place to come in the future! Highly recommend!

The food is good! The bartender was friendly unfortunately I moved to a bar table where the waitress is just rude knowing that travelers will probably not return I however travel to Alaska yearly...next time I’ll stay at the bar! She didn’t even bother to ask if everything is good!! Rude

I went to the airport location, and my husband and I were shocked at the homophobia we experienced at this restaurant. After seeing us embrace, the servers refused to speak to us at all, while delivering exceptionally warm service to the people behind us and in front of us, and even murmured homophobic slurs within earshot. Unfortunately enough, this occurred on my birthday. This was a very unpleasant way to say goodbye to Alaska after my vacation.

This place is excellent and we will be back for sure. The wife wanted to go several times during our trip! Food was good as well as the staff and atmosphere. My wife claims they have the best Bloody Mary's shes ever had!

I lost an hour of my life waiting on my check to get sorted out. I ended up paying for beverages that ended up on my check that I didn't drink just to speed up the process so that I could get out of there. Food was good, but wasn't worth the time I lost.

If you want a quite place to eat this is not your place. Bar atmosphere with a great beer selection and Sunday bloody mary bar. My wife loves going here for the crab sandwich. The service is great, the food is good.

Well... Basic bar and grill. Good beer selection and grill menu. Food selection nice and prepared well. Great service with a full house. Don't expect to get a seat during tourist season. A little hyped, but worth a stop.

Alaskan King Crab Nuggets are off the hook. Spicy chicken sandwich was great. Based on the Crab Nuggets I should've gotten the Crab cakes. Next time.

Fix your menu. If it says I should expect 3 tacos. Then give me 3 tacos... nothing is more disappointing than realizing you didn’t get what you expected. Or read! It got worse! They forgot my Baja sauce, and the fish was soggy. Del taco (the fast food chain) makes better food! For a tenth of the price!

I ordered the fish and chips and was not impressed with the size of the four pieces of fish, quite small for you $16 although tasty. French fries were barely warm and they did bring out hot ones, they were tasty.

We had a table for 6 hungry customers. The beer selection was great. Bloody Mary’s we’re decent after adding our own “extras”. The halibut was out of this world along with the cod. The salmon chowder was tasty as was the Crabby Pattie. The only downer was the Reuben sandwich. Over cooked with sub-par tasting sauerkraut. All in all, we would return

Food was great. Our server was fantastic. I would have given them 5 stars, but the lack of a host during a very busy time was terrible. Customers had to fend for themselves to find a table, so if you were there for 30 minutes and couldnt find a table and then someone walks in and happens to be by a table leaving, guess what - who cares if you've been waiting - the other people get the table because they were closer. Then you have people standing and staring and asking you when will you be done, we want your table. Awful.

Excellent food and service. It was a real splash. The horseradish crusted Halibut was e excellent served with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. The nachos were filling and was a healthy serving. A nice spot to catch a game or catch up with friends.

Food was fine - When we got it. They said to seat yourself. No clean table, so we sat at one that needed to be cleared and began talking. Waitress literally huffed as she walked up. I said I was sorry, but there were no cleared tables anywhere. She said FINE. Go somewhere else.

Just had lunch here and the food , once it finally came was hot and yummy. It took over half an hour for food to arrive and our wait person was a bit snippy and really did put me off. Too bad. Maybe she is just too tired of the tourists.

Good food and friendly service. Groups larger than 6 were seated on the heated patio on picnic style tables. I'm not a beer drinker so I just had water. Wine wasn't listed on the menu and I didn't see a wine list. However, our friends had the pale Alaskan brews and were very complementary about their selections.

Humpy's is a nice spot to stop in and have a drink in Anchorage. Their Halibut tacos are said to be good but it was the proximity to the hotel and cheap drinks that drew me in.

Humpy’s is an Anchorage tradition, but it’s definitely showing its age after 20+ years of operation. The food, however, is consistently tasty and the service is mostly good. If you’re there in the summer, they have a small outdoor seating area. Seafood and American fare done right.

Anything involving halibut is great. The Firehouse Chicken sandwich and burgers were all very good. Just know that seating is based on finding an empty table and grabbing it.

Great choices on the menu and excellent selection of microbrews. 3 of our group of 6 went with (locally caught) fish and chips, which was excellent and all were happy with their selections. They happily provided malt vinegar on request, as well. Perfect!
