It's definitely worth a visit since it's free, but a lot of things are outdated. The timeline in the front hasn't been updated for 10 years for example. There is some good information and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

The museum should be at a X missile site.

Charles Watson

For former missileers, missile mnx and military enthusists, this is a great museum to tour. A lot of examples of missile launch consoles and missile parts, plus pictures from the SAC days. This museum also does a great job explaining the history dating back to the days of Fort Russell.

This place was behind my house actually. As a missileer, I rather enjoyed the history and displays, but it also covers the bases founding and past nicely. Keep in mind, this is on a military installation, and you will need a military ID or to be vouched by a family or friend who has one. However, during some times like Frontier Days, the base will bus civilians over to see it.

Nice museum. My husband really enjoyed it. He is active duty Army and my father is retired Air Force. My father enjoyed the pictures. Nice little gift shop. Bigger than it looks from the outside. Very friendly employees who are very knowledgeable. Enjoyed the experience. I was surprised that it wasn't just missile related items. There are also some uniforms and furniture and other related items from different eras in the military. A lot of history about the base. Definitely worth seeing if you're in the Cheyenne area and love military museums

Sara Rigsby

Really great. They have a wonderful children's room that kept my kids occupied for quite awhile.

Closed on weekends!! Terrible.

Al Dyke

Good for now but really need to expand. Not much change from year to year.

This place is wonderful. If you have a military ID you can access the base to visit the museum, others need to call the museum first. The museum has both the history of the base from when it was an Army Fort, to now when it is a missile base. There are great exhibits, one room is dedicated to kids, so they can interact with historic items, such as they can sit at an actual console used to launch missiles, and they can launch one too.

Fascinating exhibits, lots of history.

A small museum but a lot of history displays. The videos are informative. It took us a while to find it though.
