This museum is free for veterans and $3 for seniors. We were totally blown away with the displays and information in these buildings. It covers everything up to current times and a wealth of info. A must see for visitors to the area.

This is an amazing museum with Indian artifacts, rocks & minerals, the famous "Hole-in-the-Wall" bar and a huge display of early days in Hot Springs County. My favorite display item is the carriage which was used in the Yellowstone National Park way back in the day. Well worth the visit!

I'm surprised this level of museum exists as a local one, I've been to many museums and this is definately comparable to the state museum in Cheyenne, if not better. They provide an amazing and elaborate demonstration of local history and even bothered to present how local history is connected to or reflect the American history as a whole. Think of it, how many museums can do that? You will get a glimpse of what early pioneer life was like, including the bar culture, barber shop, homes, jails, and even coal mines. I would go back to Thermopolis just to visit this museum again.

Excellent displays with informative write ups. The well informed staff was friendly and available for questions. This museum is much larger than it appears from the outside. The exhibits were numerous with a wide range of subjects related to the history of the local area. This must see sight is a bargain.

It was nice to see how things happened and the way people lived, I was told they have the bar Butch Cassidy drink at there. With a memorial is the local heroes that served out in front. I'm very proud to be an American And glad I live during this time.
