Had our wedding here and it was perfect! Christy and her crew were so welcoming and wonderfully helpful. Beautiful place in a beautiful state!

Shari Larson

It was ok but tried to take the "tour" but the guide kept repeating the same info. when others joined the tour late. We are from CO & she insulted Colorado people for moving to WY. That just wasn't nice! She took too long so we finally left the tour & went home. I wish we hadn't paid the $10 recommended fee for the tour! If you go there, take the tour & decide if you think it's worth $5 per person!

They are super nice. They have tours outside of all the old buildings. They have things almost every weekend during the summer. The mountain man rendezvous the third weekend in July is awsome.

Different style of museum which is great, they have a number of out buildings from the main visitors center. Which makes the total collection huge. Make sure to go on the guided tour!, had a great time and got some really neat photos.

A very interesting place to visit. Look up or call for hours for a guided tour. I went when there was nobody working and we just walked around and peeked into the windows, that was worth my time, you can possibly learn a lot from here about history and how things used to work. If you want to know how this town came to be, come here.

The museum is very well put together there are lots of artifacts and Relics from the early days of Wyoming and the settlers and all of that it was an incredible experience even though the outbuildings were closed because of the snow

The Grand Encampment museum is a nice place to visit, but it could use some rock specimens and more information on the mines in the area. There is a paucity of rock and mineral samples.
