Lots to see and learn here about the local land and culture. So much history in one lot from the early pioneers to native American culture. Unique and interesting articles and great for kids because they have item to touch and hold. Tons of rare taxidermy animals and prints of the local petroglyphs. Also a great place to get information on what to see around town and learn a little history at the same time.

This is a wonderful museum. It allows children to engage with many aspects of early life in the upper Wind River region. It's well worth a visit.

Everyone is very knowledgeable and that helps a lot. Love the way it is set up for a small museum. The C M display is very old... little moccasins with fragile beads. Etc.

Seems to be a work in progress. The cabins were interesting but not labled and the manniquins were kinda creepy. No fees were posted, so not sure what is the norm. Hard to see from road, signage is small.

By far, this was one cool collection. The cabins and relics from the past really bring the pioneer days to life. I enjoyed reading the personal letters and journal entries the museum had on display. I had no idea about the history of area in WWII. My favorite part was learning about the trees that grew around rams skulls that were placed in trees. I was told that the museum has two of the three known tree sections that came from the area. Very cool.

The original buildings from the old town are so much fun to go through! They are not heated though so if you come in the winter be sure you are dressed warm!

Everyone here was so helpful when I was working on my dissertation. Their collection is impressive and the personal letters were a great source for my research. If you are passing through Dubious or live here as well, you should definitely stop in and support this fantastic museum.
