Great collection of fiber arts. Not your grandma's quilts.

Maggie Ley

Take your receipt! If the cashier offers you a receipt after you've paid, TAKE IT! Otherwise, in the midst of your relaxing reverie, the Director, as she introduced herself, will rudely ask you if you've paid, "because I wasn't here when you arrived." That's my problem how? Talk to your cashier! Although the quilting/art is beautiful, personally, I won't ever go back.

Patricia Bird

Beautiful display of Native American fiber Arts. Was so interesting to read descriptions of materials used and tribes represented. Very helpful staff and nice gift area.

The museum is an amazing showcase of what quilting can be. we stopped in for the first time to see the ants to elephants exhibit and it was phenomenal. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will be stopping by again and would recommend to any art lover.

Nancy Mathews

Wonderful show of award winning Japanese quilts. Stunning!

To Anyone who is interested in Quilting or the Fabric Arts, this is a Must See Place! Make sure that you have at least a half-hour to spend there, but one hour would be certainly better!

An interesting and unique museum with a rotating collection of artworks which are representative of both domestic and international artists. During my visit they had an exhibit on tobacco silks from the early 1900s. It was quite interesting and was something I had never seen before. They hold classes throughout the year on quilt making and weaving.

Nancy Pietrowiak

The Museum has awesome displays from quilt and fiber artists. They have displayed historical quilts, Japanese handwork, modern quilts, knitting, weaving, felting, punched rugs- any type of fiber art you can imagine will be featured at one time or another. Admission is only $6, and a year's membership is $30. The barn itself is a showpiece, and the time, thought, and donations that went into making this a reality was well spent. They have great workshops, open the grounds for barn days, and generally give the fiber arts community a beautiful showcase to honor those who did handwork in the past, and carry on the traditions in new ways today.

Great exhibitions of quilting. Classes for local residents.

Pearl O'Brien

No permanent collection pieces available for viewing. $8 to see one gallery of pieces of very mixed quality was far too much.

Juds C

Wonderful museum covering all things quilty and fibery. A true hidden gem.

Lester Lapierre

Daphne Daugherty

Beautiful building! The "Water" exhibit is fascinating, and the people are so helpful.

Jackie Campbell

Disappointed, 2 or 3 old quilts. Not my idea of a museum. Though the current display made was with old tobacco silks the quilts/art pieces were new. Price was high for the 30 minutes it took to view the displays.

Ezio Pizzi

Phylis Gibbon

Family Fun Days are amazing! They are free and there are many arts and crafts to do with your family.

Amy Steinkellner

Rude and ungrateful! Friends and I spent hours of time organizing donations for their annual rummage sale...followed the list of what they wanted...only to be insulted by rude and ungrateful staff when delivering. Maybe they need to earn their support like the rest of us.

Jen Blau

Amazing museum, great staff!

Virginia Taft

Tried to get info.Closed and website inaccurate re closures. Building looked interesting. Sorry we couldn't get in!

Doug Wells

Men- take up any offer from your wife to stay in the car. This wouldn’t have been worth it for half the price. I suspect any glowing reviews about this place are from people that have exhibited their work there.

Auriel Kollmann

Beautiful venue, very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Mark S

Top notch museum. I confess that I visited on family day and admission was free, but I was greeted warmly and the staff was great about answering questions related to the pieces being displayed. I was amazed at what the artists could do with material, thread and yarn. I recommend a visit.

John Snow

Great space for a wedding.

Sandy Herges

Visiting the Wisconsin Quilt Museum was a much anticipated event for me. How very disappointed I was to not see any Wisconsin quilts on display. We visited and viewed the Japanese exhibit which took maybe 30 minutes. The name of this building is misleading. Maybe it needs to be renamed the Wisconsin Quilt Exhibition Center. Check the definition of museum. The building itself is beautiful and very “Wisconsin”.

I have been to the museum on two different occasions to listen to a guest artist speak. The exhibits have been well worth my drive and the setting is perfect. I plan to return before Stevie the croc leaves Wisconsin. Staff are all friendly and the gift shop has a great variety of items of interest to quilters and non-quilters alike. Plus, Cedarburg is a great little town to visit for food and strolling.

Sarah Cornell

Not worth the money paid; the only staff member that was attentive was that one that jumped right on us to pay admission when we'd barely walked through the door. The person who came in behind us however, got a lovely introduction about the museum. The website and the brochures made it seem like there would be a large collection of quilts and other fiber arts, but all they had was their two special exhibits that weren't very large. Probably the nicest thing about the whole place was the artist in residence, who had a weaving display in the front as we came in. Definitely won't be going here again, or recommending it to anyone else .

Mary Mendla

A beautiful facility with knowledgeable staff to enhance your experience.

Frank Szewczyk

A well-curated collection of quilts and fibre art. Call for current collection information.

Marsha Gairrett

Great Japanese exhibit from competition in Japan 2015.

PETER McMasters

You have to keep comming back to see the latest exhibit.

Cathy Moll

Great little mueseum that was very interesting. Learned what tobacco silks were and how they were incorporated into quilts. Worth the trip to see it and go into Cederburg WI for shopping and wine afterwards.

Laurinda Weisse

I stop in whenever I am in the area because the rotating exhibits are consistently excellent. As always, a well-designed, interesting exhibit of quilts, and fun gift shop selection.

Heard about the place after hearing about it from our friend on an NPR program. wonderful overview and exhibits with a lovely location and a super affordable gift shop of local and national textile artists.

We attended their 5th birthday part last weekend. It was a nice event with learning and fun for both adults and kids (puzzles, sew-your-own bean bags for corn hole). The 1850s farmstead that it's located on was a pleasant surprise for my pioneer life-interested kids. They also have the most interesting climbing tree I've ever seen. So all around, a fun visit. We'll be back in the future.
