If your in the area, and your a railfan, or "foamer" as my friend Marta calls me, this is one of the best places for the "inside" railroad equipment, liteurature, lanterns, and just everything railroad I've seen. This is a good companion stop to go along with the Depot; Railroad museum in Duluth, but this has the human side of railroading, and is often staffed with former RR workers, with interesting stories to hear, for young and us foamers alike.

Great experience for a low price. We had the most charming tour guide in a 12 year old young man who was very knowledgeable. 12 rooms of train memorabilia.

Doesn't seem like much from the outside, but it was a very informative tour. Some museums you go to, you just walk through, and check out things that catch your eye, here, there are very knowledgeable tour guides. Highly recomend if you are a railroad fan, or looking to learn about local history.
