Beautiful museum with weekly events and programs, including a Saturday morning free children's art project. The inside is very open and white giving that minimalist and modern feel. The art changes often, and features local artists of all types.

Nice hidden gem of a museum. They have permanent collection and special exhibits. The special exhibit we saw was Wisconsin Dells that featured photos from steroscopes as well as photos from the 1970 s. Very enjoyable. Their permanent collection has art from 19 th and 20 th century, also enjoyable. With your admission of $15 for one and $25 for two you get a year membership with unlimited access, invitations to exhibition opening parties and MOWA news delivered to your door. Free parking too.

We DJ'd a wedding there last night and it was amazing! Kerry was very attentive and helpful. The guard at the front door was extremely helpful and welcoming as well. Beautiful, clean inside. Overall just a wonderful place! Hope to be back there again soon!

Was blown away by the different exhibits here! The range from blown glass and fine drawings to the largest oil painting I've ever seen, with life size figures. The clothing exhibits and furniture also wonderful. I'll recommend this as a wonderful few hours for anyone!

We recently attended the Dylan poster exhibit which consisted of very large tapestries of select song lyrics, and a live solo acoustic performance of the recent Nobel laureate's music. The museum features a very wide range of art connected to Wisconsin, including furniture, sculpture, traditional forms, the avant garde, even the whimsical. Very highly recommended, with a two for one drink discount following events at the Dublin restaurant just down the street.

Wonderful facility with a fabulous collection of Wisconsin art by Wisconsin artists. Occasional lectures in the main atrium make it a destination for learning from top local and national speakers. Beautiful modern building and grounds on the banks of the West Bend river.

This was a great place for students to learn about artists from Wisconsin. We even got a special visit from Mr. Tom, one of the photographers himself! The kids were excited and the tour guides were friendly.

It's a drive out for us city folk.but worth an afternoon. Love seeing Wisconsin artists and the exhibits are thoughtful and interesting. The building is rather cool and we went once for a kids program and it was unbelievably generous and fun. (I could not believe how.many supplies they had!) Walk.over a bridge into.downtown West Bend.

Quite expensive to get inside, so we left. There is an annual fee for membership and no mention of a day charge. At the old location you could visit for a donation. Things don't always change for the better. They're missing out on visitors with their high fee. This is a small town. My rating only reflects my disappointment in the fee, not the exhibits. Which I have no idea about. There is currently a bicycle display that can be seen through the windows.

An unexpected place to find such a shrine to culture and creativity. A striking building design and lovely gardens catch your eye and draw you in. Membership is inexpensive and worth it, especially if you have children, as there are many high quality art classes for them. The gallery is great, and contains some fine samples of the work of Wisconsin's artists. Gift shop is nice too, but pricey. Still, if you buy art you are supporting the art community, which is great.

Unique building and unique wedding venue! Loved all the windows letting in so much natural light. Clean bathrooms too! Would have been a 5 star, but I feel they should move some of the art exhibits when hosting weddings to prevent any mishaps....by not doing so is asking for problems.

Went to an art fair. Outside art displays, jewelry, food, and arts and crafts vendors. Great art exhibits inside this charming museum located in West Bend. Helpful personnel, wheelchair accessible and parking adequate. About 15 minutes from Milwaukee, but well worth it!

There are always amazing exhibits. The workshops for kids are outstanding. It is well worth the membership. For Three+ it is $50 for the year. You can bring four adults and an unlimited amount of children. It is wonderful time for everyone.

Great art in West bend!! It changes its displays regularly so there is always something new to see!! The new building is fantastic!! You can also buy some art at the gift shop!! I go there to see my favorite Carl Von Marr paintings. When you walk up to a humongous painting that took him 3 years to paint. See the details and shadows. The expressions on the many faces. You will understand!! A masterpiece!! He also has another painting so realistic you'd swear you could just walk right into the scene. Please go see it for yourself!! When you do. You will want to come back again and again!! Buy a membership and support the art!!

Great program. Maybe our school caught the tour guide on a bad day but she did not seem very patient or kind towards or 4th grades. Negative and abrupt redirections are nlt a good solution for children in a new environment. If she had a more positive attitude or even just smiled the kids would stay too warm up to get and be more respectful. Otherwise- great museum!

One of the first pictures you see are from an artist that obviously takes lots of drugs. Of course I loved it. The best artist was Carl Von Marr. He was really into Sci-Fi and you could tell. He had a painting that had a priest vampire (the flagellants), another had a zombie baby (Summer Afternoon), and my favorite was the one with Anakin Skywalker from Star Was the Phantom Menace (The Adoration of Christ). You can see my pictures on here that show the close-ups if you cannot find them. This place has some really freaky stuff and I absolutely loved it.

Lots of children's programs. Conveniently located near several restaurants in the West Bend Downtown area. A fun day trip with family or friends.
