I had been waiting for my kids to be old enough to check out this museum for about five years, so when we were traveling south my oldest child and I decided to stop in. What we saw was an interesting arrangement of historical remakes and descriptions of how they were utilized. Spooky soundtracks playing in the background provides ambiance and added some excitement to the experience. I was very surprised and morbidly pleased to discover some original art pieces on display created by a notorious serial killer while in prison. It was definitely worth the wait as my child enjoyed it very much.

If u like the creativity used to kill or injure a person back in medieval and the dark ages, this place is for u. Very interesting. Not for young children.

Don't know if it was the owner or employee I hope to God it was a employee.. my 3 year old daughter was trying to ride the machine out side and she was excited just like a kid would be happy and very excited jumping around and we get yelled at for the machine bouncing. I get it there old and Maybe antiques if that's what your worrying about. Think it's time to up grade your equipment..and put them away then..

So much fun. My boyfriend took me here after a weekend in the Dells. We're both into murder, etc and some of the mechanisms on display were so horrific! Which is what you want to see at a Torture Museum. Would recommend.

It's a small mom/pop museum consisting of 3 rooms and information on the torture devices displayed on the walls. It was informative and for the price, it was good. The owners also run the fun house next to it, which is why some ppl complained they had to wait.

Cool museum, but the staff sucked. We waited for 10 minutes and no one came to let us in. Actually, there wasn't even any staff around and we actually had to call the museum phone to get someone sent to allow us in.

I haven't been there in a while but I had a great time here. This museum really does delve into man's inhumanity to man. It is a small museum but has a lot of great information on how these devices were used to get confessions, converts, and information from the victims. From the brazen bull to the guillotine and many others in between this makes you think and may even get you to pick up a book on the subjects. In my opinion this is better than Ripley's.
