This Museum belongs to the category of History museum.
I've loved this place since I was a kid. When my husband and I traveled from our home in Texas to visit friends in Wisconsin, I made sure to include a trip to Kohler Design Center in our itinerary. It was just as good as I remembered it to be since my last visit over 20 years ago. I loved looking at all of the awesome designs that Kohler has. So much fun to gather inspiration here!
Really neat
Very neat palace, even if you are not building a bathroom.
Cool
Tons of ideas for home improvements. Staff is friendly and helpful
It was a neat place to visit! They had water and free coffee/hot chocolate packets for visitors. The museum/history portion was interesting, and it was surprisingly fun to see all of the different faucets, shower heads, toilets, etc. It was kind of like a miniature IKEA. I had some fun by leaving all of the faucets to the on position on the top floor.
Interesting history of a diversified American business!
The little town of Kohler has so much charm is well kept and has a nice little shopping center. The design center is full of state of the art Kohler house appliances. From bathrooms, bedrooms to kitchens this is a place that will inspire you. Whether you're designing your dream home or updating your existing home you will find something you have to have! Downstairs is a nice museum full of Kohler history and the development of their products over the years. I found this place to be very interesting and full of inspiration for future home projects. Worth the stop and completely free.
It was amazing to see all the different inventions and design options. The museum was interesting as well!
A must see place for artists or anyone that loves to see new things and have cool experiences
I thought this place was really cool. The bottom floor is dedicated to the history of Kohler. You get to see the different designs from various decades and about the evolution of the company and its technologies. The second floor is dedicated to ask of the current designs available. And there are a lot of cool fixtures and appliances to look at. Something for all styles. Then the top is a giant showroom of example kitchens and bathrooms at all types. It's a very fun afternoon if you're in the area.
What a fun place! Whether you are going to design your kitchen, bar, spa, bath, or just to have fun.... This is a great building to visit. There were products I did not know existed. And the 2nd floor of the design center has all kinds of Room ideas. I were group got a little crazy and took weird pictures sitting in the kitchens and baths but we had a lot of fun
This is a great place to check out all of Kohler's designs: past, present, and future. They have great displays of kitchen and bathroom layouts to fully appreciate their designs and to get an idea of how to incorporate them into your home design. Also, check out the basement which offers a nice display of the company's history.
Very interesting, the start of the company to present. The mfg. process and the different products that been produced though the years from farm equipment, cast iron items, engines & generators to toilets & sinks. Kohler Co. made the city of Kohler to what it is today.
I really enjoy walking through the place; so many things to see. Excited about the renovations as well.
Absolutely stunning showroom. The bathroom vignettes will leave you wishing you lived in the showroom instead of your home. The history of Kohler on the lower floor is also incredible, and if you get to take a factory tour it will greatly enhance your appreciation of everything this brand does
Fun wall of china
Great place to get ideas, did a shower remodel and got some great ideas, and best one was the temperature shower valve worth it and a must see!
Great place to visit. Nice selection of barroom and kitchen product. And some history too.
Fun to see all the old colors of the fixtures, but the best part was in the basement where the history of Kohler products was presented. Well done and worth an hour or so. Free.
If you want to know what Kohler Co. is all about you must visit this place. It exhibits a history of the village and how Kohler Co. started. You can see the development of new products and different color on a timeline which is very fascinating. They also offer manufacturing tours on weekdays which are quite interesting experience walking through the factory. It is like an IKEA of Kitchen and Bath. They have actual size kitchens and baths that you can see the products in them. They also have a collection of artists' works that worked at Kohler plus the one and only Artist Edition products. I would definitely recommend this place.
My most favorite place in the world, until now. I missed the shell bathroom with the pink sink. I also miss the Revival collection and the Rialto. Bring them back NOW!!!
This is basically a showroom of all things Kohler. But it is also a place to let dreams run wild from viewing the various styles of bathrooms, kitchens, etc. On the lower level is a museum dedicated to the history of the Kohler family and company.
Great stop that is a must in Kohler. Make sure that you take time to see this place. Not only will you get to see the many different products that Kohler has to offer but you will also get to view the history of the company. I was very impressed with how nice the displays were kept with some of them being interactive. The history of Kohler display was very informative.
The Kohler Design Center is an enjoyable place to visit. You get to see all the porcelain products that the cooler company makes. Many of them are put into designer rooms. great decorating ideas if you're looking to build or add a bathroom and a kitchen. There's a small Museum in the lower level that will tell you about the history of the Kohler Company and its founding family
This is a great place to see the newest innovations in bath and kitchen items. There's also a nice little historical presentation if you are interested in knowing how the company came to be.
Nice if you arrange a guided tour in advance.
Where else can you see a three story wall of toilets?
We are remodeling our house and this is a good place to see what Kohler has available for kitchens and bathrooms
Very good place to visit when you need remodel kitchen or bathroom A lot of great ideas
Wow!! This is really an impressive experience. Multiple floors, working models, history of the company. All in one place. Had a great time and learned a lot. Staff is fantastic. Worth the time to visit. Should have longer hours...
Love it got so many design ideas for our remodel project. Great place because you can touch and try the products.
Very interesting products on display, basement is history, main floor is current products, stair landing is tubs and shower, and 2nd floor is showrooms displaying the products "naturally". The staff was very nice and greeted us. Self guided.
This is an idea center for anyone wanting to see the incredible range of Kohler products for the kitchen and bath. The associates who are in the Center will answer any questions about the products, as well as refer you to authorized Kohler installers. A visit is highly recommended!
Very interesting and inspiring.
Call ahead to schedule a free factory tour that starts at 8:30 am daily. Amazing to see how clay toilets are made & cast iron tubs. imagine a red hot glowing bathtub dusted with silica powder that melts into a permanent enamel. Amazing to watch all the processes. Great tour guides that were all once Kohler employees. The horse and plow offers a nice lunch on the same grounds. And of course don't forget the design center where you can grab great Inspirations for your next Dream Home.
Loved it, it's simply amazing!
Great place, probably a plumbers dream :)
It's always fun to come and get inspiration for future projects. So many fun ideas!
loved it a definite stop if your in Kohler
Friendly people greeting us and many intriguing possibilities and ideas for our kitchen and bathroom
What can one say about a place that's equally fun for adults and kids. Working toilets, showers and sinks to play with including fancy controls like pulsating bidet smart seat toilets. Of course for grownups, a great place for design ideas for your next kitchen and bath. Worth the hour to cruise around!
Excellent place to visit, even if you're not remodeling your kitchen or bathroom! Lots of history and artifacts from years past. If you're a history buff and from Wisconsin this is a cool place to visit.

If you like fancy toilets and baths, this is the place for you! Also if you like interesting history (especially the history of toilets) this is a great stop...
The tour is great. The showroom has a lot of cool design ideas.
Really cool.
The Design Center is lovely. We went there for Chef's Night and the food was disappointing.
Always a nice place to stop and view Kohler products
The best way to describe this place is by describing what the bathroom of a large mansion might look like. Some of the things in there were ridiculous. I do not know who would possibly need a toilet with a heated seat, automatic opening, and other features. They were cool though. A lot of things there were very cool.
Nothing but inspiration!!
I loved seeing all the updated things here. I will definitely go back when in ready to remodel my bathroom.
I was surprised how enthralled I was by the bathroom and kitchen designs they showcased. Almost like walking through a museum.
This was interesting and a good way to kill some time on a rainy day
It's like a small scale version of Ikea but specializing in kitchen/bathroom. I for sure thought the museum part was going to be boring, but surprisingly found it really interesting. It was fun to see all the actual products, and even better to see the actual designed rooms. We spent about two hours there, and even better that it's free!
Shopping for kitchen or bathroom fixtures? This is the place to see anything you might be dreaming of. Kohler, =Gracious living.
Great place. All kinds of ideas for kitchen and bathroom design. We were greeted cheerfully when we walked in.
A great attraction and excellent place if you are looking for home improvement ideas.
I highly recommend visiting this. The museum and model bathroom and demo sinks are very interesting. Free tours, register in advance.
Absolutely stunning!! The show rooms were spectacular!! Too many ideas of what we can do!! Enjoyed the walk through history section also.
Was very cool
A great place to visit if you need high end fixtures or a complete bathroom makeover.
When I was here I was not looking for bathroom freezing ideas. But I have a new found appreciation for kitchen and bathroom design. It was very interesting to walk through all of the mock ups of bathrooms and kitchens. Many of the displays work so you can get a feel for the innovative new faucet and shower designs. It is defined with the visit. If you're sit on Tim head directly up stairs and tour all of the mocked up bathrooms... Amazing.
Every product sold by Kohler under one roof.
Kohler has made a beautiful space for the public here. There are 3 floors to tour. It was very interesting and we were glad that we went.
Loved it...beautiful works of art in a neat building with artist decorated bathrooms..free to get in
Honoring the Kohler company and Family
Ample parking. Beautiful grounds. Lovely displays of kitchen and bathrooms. Featuring great ideas to take home on current trends
More plumbing fixtures in one place that I have ever seen
Always amazing
The best interior/historical showroom I have been to so far. Also, the staff is helpful and nice. Above all, the beautiful Kohler fixtures were the biggest highlight. A must for interior decorators and architects.
I can't remember the guides name, but she was amazing. Her stories and enthusiasm when telling them, really painted a great picture. A must see if you're in town.
Amazing place, best of all....it's free!
Super cool place to check out. Even if you aren't attempting to remodel anything!
Nice museum below
What a great experience! Love seeing the history and all the amazing products. Everyone was so nice and helpful.
Nice place
This is the best place on earth to see all Kohler products. Lots of cool historical stuff too.
Very nice place to visit specially over winter since is indoor. A lot of cool stuff.
One of the coolest places you'll visit...
Great products, could show more toilets that are baseless ( off floor and coming out of wall).
Friendly, knowledgeable staff that are truly passionate for the company, it's history and its products. Tour gear was great! They had headphones and Bluetooth receivers so it blocked noise and we could hear the tour guide, with adjustable volume. Beside the tour, the design center itself is huge and fun to poke around in. Their displays are very informative and interactive. It was a valuable and memorable trip!
Don't build a house without visiting this. I like the museum in the basement. And it's free.
Awesome place to check out and get the Kohler factory tour (I believe offered on Mondays only, confirm with design center prior to booking trip). Kohler makes high quality great products but also does a great job with there Hospitality.
Neat place for remodel ideas. The different displays help you find your own style. Very interesting to see how modern technology including wifi and apps are being integrated intro bathroom technology. Plan 45 min to 60 min if looking at fixtures and more time if you plan to tour the museum/history exhibit in the lower level.
Excellent place for tour and design center. Very good guide, Kohler takes care of employees and guests
This place has the coolest bathroom fixtures. Now if I could win the lotto. There is also a great museum in the basement. Worth a visit.
Great interesting place. Perfect to gather ideas and see new Kohler products.
Very interesting display of histoy worth stoping to see
The fixtures and interactive displays are fun to play with. It's amazing to see all the different bathroom and kitchen displays. The staff is also super friendly.
If you want to see some amazing design ideas for a bathroom and see all the amazing things that Kohler has to offer you need to check this place out. From hot tubs, to sinks, to showers, to a wall of toilets - this place is pretty awesome. Be careful though, once you go here you might end up remodeling your bathroom once you get home :)
Had never been here before. And I live in Milwaukee. Was quite impressed. Very nice area.
Enjoyed looking at all the new designs, but very high priced, but if building a new house, would consider including some of the new designs. Great place to visit. We didnt take tour of factory, but good idea to do so.
If you are doing any home building or remodeling you must stop here!
A great place to get some really good and cutting edge design options for your kitchen or bathroom projects. Also, an informative description about the Kohler company's beginnings. Helpful staff to answer any questions you have, also help with designing your projects. Well worth a visit!!
Different displays since last time I was here. Very interesting. Would like to see displays of small bathrooms.
Outstanding displays. Walking through is amazing, the displays are interactive. From the sinks to the showers to the whirlpools. There is also a historic museum feeling downstairs.

Its free and super informative...then go to you local Home Depot and have your dream kitchen or bathroom drained by an expert!! Home Depot is an official vendor for all you Kohler needs!!
Great place to spend a couple hours looking at all the history and modern kitchen and bathroom design
Awesome selection of Kohler products. The Kohler museum downstairs is outstanding. Thank Kohler for hosting us!
Extraordinary designs and products. The lower level has a very interesting history of the Kohler family and their business.
Lots of great information
Whether you're thinking about remodeling your kitchen or bath, or simply love beautiful homes, this is a fabulous stop! I particularly love the designer rooms on the second floor, but you'll also get a glimpse into the history and products made by Kohler Corporation. Admission is free and if you'd like lunch or a drink afterward, The Horse & Plow is an easy walk down the street inside the American Club hotel. It's reliably good!
We went here to look for plumbing fixtures for our new build. The staff were very helpful and provided us with printouts and sample colors after we picked out our favorites. The display of fixtures makes the decision process a little easier. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to put Kohler fixtures into their home.
Gorgeous. Ideas galore. Really wonderful to be able to see and touch items before selecting for our bathroom remodel. Made it easy to feel confident in our style and finish decisions.
Excellent history of Kohler family and company, product display is unmatched, and the designed rooms (kitchen/bath) on the 3rd floor is a must see.
Excellent way to. see the past as well as see the latest in kitchen and bathroom products. Multi story displays interesting.
A must visit!!! The entire town is absolutely beautiful!!! Lots to look at.
Was fun seeing product and history
Great place to check out Kohler products!
Amazing showroom and history lesson on Kohler. Definitely worth a visit if you have the time to spend an hour or two for browsing all of the displays.
Always fun to tour❣Always walk out with remodel ideas
Got so many great ideas!
I did not hate this place. I have never been to it.
Beautiful
The history downstairs is very interesting to see how things have progressed. The upper levels are also interesting to see so many displays and example bathrooms and faucets. Well done and interactive.
Impressive Exhibition of enamelled household ware, bath tubes, sinks etc.
A well organized and we'll designed place right next to American Club .
Eye popping disply of potential bathrooms and kitchens
Best in the world. Kohler
Informative place for building and remodeling projects. A wide variety of products on display in creative design settings.
Really nice associates!
A fun place to visit for bathroom and kitchen inspiration as well as a bit of history. The displays are so gorgeous, they may make you feel like your own home is a pile of garbage, but its a worthwhile trip when in the Kohler area!
Don’t miss it.
Some interesting artifacts of the corporate history but entirely sanitized and ultimately rather boring.
Such an awesome place! Loved all the kitchen and bathroom displays. Great to explore top of the line products.
This place was really interesting, I definitely recommend visiting the mid level and upstairs if you plan on renovating or building a new house. The downstairs is a museum and it showed the history of the company and the Creator of the company.
Very informative and a great collection of History
