This place is the best museum I have EVER been to, and I have literally travelled the world. Uffizi in Italy? Compared to this, pathetic! This place is so full of amazing history. It is interactive and very engaging! The place is so fun for all ages. It kept us three adults entertained for such a long time. The staff are so friendly.

Excellent small free museum. They have a pretty cool layout, a few interactive pieces, and a friendly staff. There's even an old firetruck you can climb inside of.

A very interesting and articulate history of Door county. Enjoyable to see where the county has developed from - I would say not real interesting to kids, but fantastic for adults. We enjoyed our visit a lot.

So much history in this place. Old firetrucks, farming tools, logging history, and shipbuilding history. Beautifully displayed wildlife and native birds. Enjoy at your own pace.

I have lived here for three years and lived a mile away from it. I took some visitors there and was surprised on how big it was and informational it was for the whole area. Told about the cherry and apple orchards and the ship yards. We all enjoyed it and we had younger kids 5 & 10. Will take more visitors there again.

What a wonderful place. Fun for kids and adults. Amazing showcase of Door County. The changing seasons with animals from all over being showcased. The fire house has so many pieces of history. Kid friendly. Free (asking for a donation, and well worth it). Lots to see here. Staff is more than helpful and informative. Lots of parking. Give this place a look.

This is a fantastic place to visit and you can't beat the price. You will be encouraged to donate and once you see what's here you should find its worth it. A very extensive collection in a small space. Exhibits range from natural habit, to historical events, 1800s era artifacts (and some older). You could easily see everything quickly in 30 minutes if you don't read many if the descriptions. We took our time and spent around an hour with no kids along, and I feel like I could easily go back again and get more out of it.

Sweet quaint place which you get to visit for free ...has a whole lot of things on display mostly donated by generous folks from around .. open only for 6 months in a year from May 1st to 31st October ..last few days left for the season ..go enjoy the treasure

What a beautiful museum. Loved all the animals in the first room. What a beautiful job preserving them. Something for everyone. Lots of interesting things on Door County that I didn't know.
