Pretty neat. We were the only sight seers there, so it was nice. The grounds were well maintained. The staff were friendly and the setting was tranquil. The bathrooms were clean too. The don't advertise camping, but a staff member did tell us that they had hook ups for campers and allowed tent camping. A walking trail called the "mothman trail" exists as well.

Unity

I go there every year for family reunions. I'll be it

Need to update their hours on the website. Drove my family down here and the place is closed. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the family time. But what a waste of gas and time to drive down here and find a locked gate

Really great place for some history. Make sure to visit the bauer building to see some really great local history from his collection. Taxidermy and gun lovers will really appreciate this place and how incredible of a guy Christmas bauer was. Make sure to bring some cash for donations because that's what keeps places like this alive.

This place is pretty neat. Found it by accident but it's free but does run on donations so please do donate. It's not really a museum but more of an outdoor historical village. Neat little buildings that are either replicas or originals that have been moved. Has a HUGE collection of taxidermy animals which is a bit...icky but there are many most would never get to see otherwise or up close. In my opinion it's better suited for ages 10+ just because children smaller may not hold a lot of interest in much except the taxidermy. Overall it's a neat little gem that I recommend if you like history and want something to do on a nice day.

James Black
