Fantastic collection of radio & electronic gear from the past!

R Sweeney

Outstanding museum for the history of electronics of all kinds. Most everything works and can be demonstrated. From working Edison cylinder players to old radios and televisions. Amateur radio well represented and the museum has shacks from 30's to the present day. All equipment is working and open for licensed hams to use. Broadcast radio and TV well represented as well. Military gear of all kinds and vintages. My wife, an artist, really enjoyed the museum. Great knowledgeable staff. While in town, visit the free vintage car museum.

Jesse Simmons

Learned a lot about how radio got started and seeing the differences in radio is amazing.

Samantha Bond

Great walk through History w/ lots of fun for kids and adults. Guides are passionate and really know their stuff! Also let ham operators utilize their equipment and/or space, also rent out the space for community events, or arrange large tours for groups (schools, churches, etc). Check it out!

It was a VERY interesting museum. The highlight for me was the The Gilbert U-238 Atomic Energy Lab. I had heard about it and seen pictures, but they have one setup !

Brian Kidd

A technology lover's dream. So much history, beautifully preserved. A little off the beaten path, but worth the visit.

West Virginia can and should be proud of this wonderful museum! The exhibits are arranged expertly: You are led down a progressive path of developments in the Radio Art, and it allows you to see Radio's Impact on Society, and conversely, Society's impact on Radio: They go hand in hand, and you will enjoy this Museum, no matter if you are into the "tech" end, or the "listening" end of things. If you are traveling through the area, don't pass by this Gem of a Museum! THAT being said, if you ARE a Radio Enthusiast, you can consider this as a destination trip...it's really that good! And PARENTS: Please bring your school age children to the Museum. The work that these fine folks have put into this Labor of Love is something great to share, and functions as a VALUABLE EDUCATIONAL SUPPLEMENT and ENHANCEMENT to formal education... VERY IMPORTANT in these days when schools are sadly (and not their fault) too busy being forced to teach to a test all too often.

Fun little visit, seemed more like a collection than a museum but the old man who led us on a tour was knowledgable, kind, and very enthusiastic.

Was travelling from Michigan to Florida and Stopped in Huntington area for the night just to pay a visit here the next day (8/9/2019.) It was well worth the visit. A great collection and very knowledgeable staff. I would make a return visit.

Best display of ham equipment, ever. Even had a "Grebe", Neutrodyne, and a super collection of TRF receivers. Western Electric transmitter used 189's p-p. Big power supply hidden behind the transmitter rf bays. Over all a "wonderment" to see. Great display of transmitting tubes. Huge Mercury vapour 3 phase ( no Mercury) multi kilo ampere rectifier ( Hewitt Cooper). Wife said it was like a "hamfest" sans the hams

DAVID jones

What a great place don't pass up a great tour in time outstanding

A little hard to find, but worth the trip. To when Super Duper Charlie Cooper is a decent in the museum. Great for home schoolers, Girl or Boy Scout groups, anyone interested in radio, TV, HAM radio, or history.

So much more than raidios! They give guided tours through the museum and can tailor the experience to your interests. The docents are so knowledgeable and excited to share it with you. The history of music players and electronics comes to life through their fascinating stories. Come and remember the radios, TVs, or computers of your childhood.
