The Mountaineeer Military Museum is an incredible tribute to all of those that have served. I enjoyed walking through each exhibit and learning about the different wars. My favorite is the Hall of Heroes with photos of many WV Soldiers. Allow yourself plenty of time to really take in all of the history.

Was a really great museum! When we got there we are actually worried by the outside as to what the quality/quantity would be. But once you’re inside you’ll be surprised at just how much is in that building. They have a VERY IMPRESSIVE collection. Even the building itself has history to it. Although I think the best part of the whole experience were the owners. They genuinely love and care for this museum and it shows. They have stories and will answer any questions you have. Would definitely recommend visiting if you’re in Weston, you won’t be disappointed!

A wealth of military memorabilia from the Civil War through modern-day engagements. The tour was conducted by the owner of the museum-- a proud veteran of the Vietnam war. He has dedicated himself to the preservation of the memories of all who have honorably served our country.

The Mountaineer Military Museum is one of the best places to immerse yourself in military history and pay tribute to those that have served. The museum is constantly adding new displays and has a huge selection of donated artifacts that is constantly growing! This is definitely worth the visit. You will not be disappointed!

I'm only giving a three because it was closed the day I stopped by. The hours said it was to be open so I was disappointed. The place was nice outside & from the pictures here it appears nice inside. Perhaps next time I'm traveling through the town I will be able to see it & it will be open.

This place is a tribute to the loss of the owners friends during the Vietnam conflict. It’s a great place to visit and support. Large amount of relics and artifacts form every conflict. Great staff and genuine personnel. A touching place to reflect on the sacrifice, loss, and price paid for the freedom so many people take for granted.

Vernon Helmick

One person's promise that his friends will never be forgotten is carried out in this amazing museum. The gentleman that owns it and maintains it is absolutely amazing. The emotional history that is in this museum cannot be measured. Run by donations only, this museum is certainly worth making the trip and visiting if you're in the area. Very very highly recommended! thank you sir for your military service and your contribution to making sure that our military history is never forgotten.

I'm a writer and i write books about history and war mixed with sci-fi Time Travel. I enjoy the courtesy and respect by the friendly and heart welcoming old man who helps preserve these peices of history and make every new person who walks right as that door learn something new everyday. This place is amazing and i, myself, love to study War History and respect what Vets have to go through during and after war. If you are interested in history, this museum is for you! 11 out of 10 experience. This place is free for admission and you can donate if you like.
