Attended for a special Super Hero-themed "Adult Swim" event (which they schedule several of each year) on a Friday evening and had a fantastic time. Tons of interesting, fun AND educational/informative exhibits and activities for "kids" of all ages. Highly recommended!!

Susan Hochgraef

So much fun! I used to take my son to the original Children's Museum and now I take my granddaughter. Everytime we go she is as excited as the first time. So many different activities for all kids to play and explore.

Van Kelly

Kiddo had a great time at the maker space hammering nails and using the other tools there. Especially the hot glue gun with popsicle sticks. The maker event was well supervised and organized, with protective goggles and full explaining on how to use each tool. Didn't even know this was happening, pleasant surprise.

Heidi Baker

We had my nieces birthday party here in the bay view room. Staff helped make this very easy, and were very helpful and kind! The room itself was very clean and had everything we needed inside!

Kaiah Westerfield

Love love love this place!!! If you have food stamps theres a deal! But the staff is friendly there so much for your littles to do! Even a spot for 4 and under! Amazing!!!

Jesi Gunderson

We had a great time there and there was plenty for the kids to do of all ages. I love that they also have an area for younger kiddos so that they can explore at their own pace without being trampled by the bigger kids. It's great that it's also indoor and outdoor and they also have a cafe with places to sit and eat, even if you bring your own food! We will definitely be returning. They have amazing discounts for low-income, elderly, service members and their families, etc. It was well worth the drive!

Nicholas Tullio

Excellent. Worth the admission fee. So much for the kids to do! Get there early to get parking and enjoy before it gets busy. We went on a Wednesday at 9 and was out by noon!

Tyler DeBarthe

This is the best children's museum we've been to! There was a lot to do for our 18 Mo old as well as our 5 year old. Displays we're vibrant and clean and the staff was working hard to keep the place orderly from so many kids playing even harder. I wasn't the only parent found playing with the exhibits too, under the disguise of 'helping' their kids! Definitely worth the visit!

David Carson

Always have a great time here. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great food too.

Lorne Martin

This was such a great place. Our son didn't want to leave.

Amanda Gordon

This place is amazing, creative, well thought out and well funded. Good for children of all ages. They are always doing some sort of activity or class. Indoor and outdoor activities. Clean and mindful of environment as well as accessible for all abilities. Amenities- cafe and cafeteria, restrooms, and gift shop are a plus. Very affordable memberships make great gifts and there is a low income day pass program.

Michael Lynn

My children love going here. Always something new to explore.

Christina Short

We always have fun when we take our daughter there. She has a blast !!! And the staff is always nice and helpful

YouDon’t NeedToKnow

Great place for the kids; a lot of stuff to do, and staff are really nice.

Sean Skidmore

This place is great. I think it is layed out very well compared to other children's museums that I have been to. There are a lot of great learning opportunities for the kids and it is very interactive. The outdoor area looks fun, but we were there in the winter, so we were outside briefly. The cafeteria area is small, but very open at the entryway to eat outside if there during the summer.

Emma K

Love it. My little is just 10 months and had started really enjoying the under 4 area, especially the little slide!

Diana Rowland

Kids had a blast, now is it worth the money? Not necessarily, not for what is offered. Next time I'll wait for a groupon. But other than that place was fun and very interesting for them wish it was bigger. It can get to crowded.

Andrew E

Had a membership here for a few years now and we absolutely love it!

Ashley Rippy

My kids an I really enjoyed learning an playing here.

Paulette M. Perez Burgos

My kids love this place, too many things to do and see. Always activities and excellent service and staff. Thanks

Stephen Sureau

Our family loves this museum. The activities keep my 3 year old busy for hours and she's always excited to visit again.

Crystal Carlson

This is one of our favorite places and my children want to live here when they're adults (since we currently drive 2 hours to meet Nana here). The staff is helpful, the opportunities for play are amazing, and things like food and potties are convenient. Parking on the street is cheaper than their lot, and it can be irritating to move your car if you stay that long, but I do it anyway.

John Roeder

Great place for kids to play for hours on end, even as an adult I enjoyed my time there. The cafe inside has quality food and amazing coffee. I have been there twice and will definitely go back. You additionally have to pay for parking.

Kelly Clash

My daughter and i love third place especially they makeshift room upstairs. They do different projects every week

Shannon Griswold

This was a great experience for our toddler. At 1 1/2 there was still so much for her to do. We could have spent all day here and she wouldn't have gotten bored. There's a cafe inside as well if you need a pause to recharge.

Chris Hugo

Outstanding customer service! The team jumps into action if your child becomes ill or hurt very gracefully and is dedicated to making your time enjoyable.

Evelyn Granados

We came here for my sons 2 yr old birthday along with his cousin and he had the best time exploring the entire museum. They have an enclosed area upstairs for the smaller children which was perfect for him!

Cindee Day

Nice place. Could tell kids love it there

Michelle Wong-Lau

I took my two year old girl to the museum on her birthday and it was lovely to see her having so much fun. My girl absolutely loved being on the driver's seats in ALL the vehicles (Vintage car, police car, fire truck, helicopter, boat and ambulance). The groupon was a good deal. The two hour round trip drive was definitely worth it!

Maggie Slighte

My granddaughters love it here! The organization is wonderful and I have attended several meetings here after hours. They are great.

Lisa Gaspar

This was our first visit, but it will not be our last! This was a great, interactive, and engaging environment for not only my 8 year old son but for me too! It is very nicely laid out and the staff were all helpful and friendly. The prices in both the cafe and gift shop were very reasonable too! A nice change from most kids entertainment. We loved it! My son made a friend almost as soon as we got there and they spent about 5 hours together!

Anaiah Williamson

My son absolutely love this place! they have so many options and so many different things for him to look at and play with. He can be a firefighter or policeman everything under the sun is inside this building. He can work with babies, he can pretend he is flying a helicopter! Plus if you have a food stamp card you and your familycan get in for even cheaper! I would highly recommend this children's museum.

Ashley Bush

Amazing place. My 3 year old son loved this place too much and he didn't want to leave. Everything was awesome including the outdoor area. Only downside I can point out is that there are too many kids bumping into each other. Weekday visit could be better in that sense, but parking is not free on weekdays.

Graham Johnson

Incredible museum! Wish we had something half as good in Bellingham. My kids (9, 7, 5) never ran out of things to do and had the time of their lives! There were so many highlights to our visit but the favorites were the waterworks, store and construction areas. My kids are begging me to go back....wish it wasn't 3 hours away!

Bethany Lee

My daughter loves going to the children's museum. There are a lot of activities and she never wants to leave.

Kevin Seghetti

Great place for kids up to about 10 years old. Nothing for anyone older than that.

Isaac Gallaway

Great place to explore and enjoy with the kids. Check with your local library for more details.

Matthew Randazzo V

The museum itself is spectacular, but I wanted to take a moment to honor two parts of the organization that don't often get mentioned. First, the preschool is one of the best I've ever seen -- teachers Kitty and Natasha in particular are kind, warm, attentive, and in touch with the little ones. Every day is a fresh challenge in a crowded and crazy museum, but they make it feel like home to the kids -- the most stimulating and exciting but safe and secure home a little kid could ever dream of. They are both wonderful at their jobs and deserve all the recognition they could ever get. Secondly, the staff at the cafe are uniformly friendly, competent, and sweet and approachable to the kids. They bring legitimate cheer and excellent energy to their interactions with the kids, and the meals are healthy, tasty, and well prepared and thoughtfully balanced. This organization is such a gift to the Olympia area on so many levels.

Joseph Lee

Awesome fun time here today at a birthday party. Been several times previously and it's always been great!

Little Jars Of Olives

My son loves this Museum so much we had to get a membership. It’s larger than the one in Tacoma and offers so much more for them to explore. Also there is something for children of all ages. The staff is friendly and very engaged. The art rooms are clean which is impressive for the amount of families in and out of there. Couldn’t believe how clean the food court area and restrooms were. Seriously looked like they were just cleaned. My son really enjoyed the water area and the fire truck. Such a neat place to visit.

Sherry Anderson

Great place for kids to be kids. Took my grandkids today they all have a blast

Collin Savunen

This place is expensive if you pay per visit. However the quality and creativeness of interactive fun your kids will have at this hands on children's museum will be totally worth it. They have two floors of exhibits and out door exhibits as well which I will leave as a surprise. I use exhibits in a very loose term, more so themes. They have a 4 and under room with gates that help keep those energetic explorative young ones contained ish. They do not have a baby room. They also have a craft room that rotates through fun crafts I believe weekly. And then events every now and then. If you go once and plan on going more after that jump straight to the membership. We got ours in December and now in February it has paid for itself twice. They also have a snack bar that has decent food but a wee bit pricy, however it beats loading the kids up going someplace driving back and u loading them if you plan on continuing to play.

kaia savunen

Lots of things to explore for lots of age groups, and a nice cafe with lots of options. Really fun place for kiddos and their parents. :)

Cassandra Christie

Great place for the littles all the way up to the adults!

Dakota Taylor

This place is AMAZING! I brought a two year old and we had a blast. I'm in my late twenties and I think I had more fun. I would recommend this place to anyone with children between the ages of 1 and 14 years old. There is enough science to make it an educational experience but it's fun enough to make it a "play day." I went during a busy day and there was still plenty of space to play and do the fun stuff. I could see spending between two and four hours there, they have a store to buy food but you can also bring your own. The parking situation is weird there. You have to pay to park or walk a long way. I think it's around 1 cent and hour.

Jennifer Palmisano

We are members and really love the museum. They change things up often and have great events too. This year my son participated in one of their summer camps and it was one of his very favorites ever. We also do the gingerbread jamboree each Christmas-time. I think most content is geared towards preschool-early elementary aged kids, but there's something for older and littler ones too.

Joshua Czajkowski

Fantastic place for my 4 year old. We got a groupon so it was pretty cheap for us to get in. They have 2 floors and a large outdoor area (which they are adding more to). Activities for kids of any age and most of them are a good learning experience. We went during the weekend they had the foam arena!

Brandon Mabury

Great place to take young kiddos. There are lots of different things to do: a little grocery mart and kitchen, a big slide, a play area for little ones. Staff is really nice and I helpful!

David Polehn

This is a great place to take the kids. They have something for everyone. I highly recommend taking your kids. We are there for 3 hours and didn't see it all.

Deborah Wilson

High quality exhibits & activities for the kids to keep them entertained for hours. The staff is friendly & there's a nice cafe that allows outside food. We usually have such fun indoors, we hardly leave ourselves time to explore the outdoor area, which is wonderful as well. My 8, 10, & 12 year old kids always love coming here!

Cynthia Odom

Really great place for young kids, but lots of unattended children who walk to the front of the line without waiting their turn.

R JC

this place is so cool I wish they had had it when I was a kid I would have been here all the time!!!!

Tyler Jackson

Nice place there wasnt poop everywhere so that's good

Mariah Ellis

Loved this place! My kiddos were entertained for almost 5 hours! They had a wonderful mix of stimulating action, areas of intense focus, and sensory areas galore. My SPD kids were able to self-regulate because of how wonderfully everything was set up. Thanks for providing ice cold water on such a warm day!

Ted Gentry

This place is great! Well put together, helpful staff. Great place to meet up with the grandkids. They love it and so do we!

Jeff Johnson

Such a fun place for the kids, if you go on the weekend just know it's going to be crowded and a long day. But also very neat for adults.

Eboni Rennie

I was shocked at how awesome this place was. Its like the biggest play room with a bunch of different sections and rooms and toys and gadgets and messy stuff and fun stuff, inside and outside! Our daughter had a blast! It's the perfect place to let your kids of all ages just run! Keep a good eye on them of course, because this place can get packed!! It seems the earlier you get there, the better!

Kay

We went on New Year's Eve so it was jam packed with people. It was nice seeing our toddler's enjoy all the new things but it was also very overwhelming for the littles with so many people around. Maybe not a place for the holidays unless that's your cup of tea. I can't wait to go back on a calmer day to be more hands on in each area. Most definitely a place to spend a majority of you day.

Derrick Hiebert

A great place for kids of all ages, though I suggest buying a membership. The price for visiting justifies it very quickly. The delux is worth it a surprising amount of the time...your kid can go with grandma and still be covered by the membership!

Catherine Straley

What a magnificent place to bring the family! Fun for kids and adults of all ages! Plenty of activities for everyone to learn and play all day! Science, sensory, imagination, nature, gardening, food, art- this place has it all to stimulate all the senses for a wonderful learning experience! They have indoor and outdoor activities, as well as a section for babies and toddlers to run, crawl, slide and explore! My LO wasn't even walking yet when we came here the first time and he had a blast rolling around in the giant soft clam and playing with the different toys they have available. Rain or shine- this is an excellent place to have an adventure for a day! And if you receive ebt then you can get in free. Kids under 2 are also free :)

Michelle Davis

So many fun things that the kids couldn't do it all in 3 hours. Plenty of hands on science experiments, play areas, and crafts. Lots of fun for all ages of kids (and adults). We went with a 2, 6, and 9 year old and they all had a blast.

Dave Anderson

Cool place and fun experiences for kids and adults! Several experiment and information centers. As the name says, it's very hands on. Lots of nooks and cranny to explore or daydream. Love the big tree to climb in

Cyndy T

First Friday (usually) is free to attend and it's a wonderful time. Have enjoyed coming here and there is always something different to do with a handy event schedule given out. I have told everyone I know who had children to come here.

Sara Hobrock

I initially rated 3 stars because I felt they could have done better to guide the first timers on guidelines & what to expect; however, once you've gone a few times your learn just how awesome this place is.

Chase Burrows

Was a great place, my daughter and friends had a blast. Lots of activities to do and can be a good learning experience if you can keep the kids attention hahaha. Still a nice place to visit for sure

Heather Phillips

Great place to come with your kids. Plenty of activities indoors and outside. They also have a great cafe with decent priced food.

Bob Montoya

Take the kids and grandparents. Enjoy healthy options at the snackbar. Revel in the brilliance and creativity of your young ones. Summer is extra special outside.

Alissa McKinney

Wonderful family destination if you want to kill a few hours and keep the kiddos happy. Paid by the hour parking, but it's only $1/hr. Huge space, two floors with dedicated areas for smaller kids, kids with special needs, and just about every interest a kid might have. The outdoor area was awesome too, complete with garden and a lighthouse you can walk up into. The price is a little high for a frequent adventure, but they have membership options and groupon has deals too. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to let their kids run loose while still feeling secure.

Alfred Ortiz

Amazing place to spend the better part of the day! Great variety of activities for the kids and even better service from the staff. Parking is limited but worth the effort.

Mistie Cartwright

Great place for kids of all ages. Also great for low income familys! Love this place so do my kiddos.

Morgan Davis

the kids just love it here. they're always bothering me to take them lol. been twice this year and might be making another trip soon if the kids are well behaved

Roger Roberts

The Hands On Children's Museum is super fun for kids and adults. I love taking my grandkids. They know all the best activities! I'm really impressed with how the kids use the stage and costumes to put on shows for the adults. Very outgoing! I'd spend my time playing in the water activities or the wind pipe tunnels if I was alone, but the kids love to dress up and make meals in the huge play kitchen area or put on a show for me upstairs. A great venue for kids of all ages!!

Jacob Durham

This place is always a great time for the kids. There’s plenty to do and lots to learn. The food is affordable and the pricing is right on par with what you’d expect. There’s often extra interactive things for kids of all ages.

Last Name

Everything about this place is so amazing. Thank you so much everyone for your contributions!!!

Juliea Ritola

Various stimulating attractions, food, cheap (can get in free if you have a food stamp card and only $2 per extra person). Also has a very shallow rocky river in the court towards the right of the entrance. Huge play tunnels that connect the 1st and 2nd floors. *pay for parking per hour. Has outside play grounds with a tall 3 story light house for the daring and a wide sandy beach area for the kids that like to play in the dirt. Lots of safe crawling and climbing and learning. Outside the entrance there are percussion instruments to play. Basically something fun everywhere you turn. Great place to burn off energy.

Erica C

We love this place. A great place to do things as a family

Mauricio Aspee

If I lived across the street, this is where all the little children whom are deserving would go every day. Just kidding. This is a wonderful place to go to challenge kids' minds and dexterity. They can spend all day here and not get tired and especially those high-energy type of children would find entertainment if not only for a second. This is a must stop for all families.

Jeann'e Smart

Emma at the front desk was stellar as well as all the people that worked there! It was clean, fun and safe for children... except the tent city a couple of blocks away. There are many places to put a tent city in Olympia. WHY 2 BLOCKS from a children's museum?? To me this is chimpanzees judgment! Who is in charge?

Cophales Fullerton

brought the kids and they love the how out of this place. the staff here are fantastic and will be back again real soon

Mike Longnecker

My boys (5&3) were in heaven! A perfect stop on the way back home from Seattle.

Ashley Berry

We love the hands on childrens museum. We are members because we attend at least once a month and during the summer, usually once a week. The facility is always clean, the staff there are CONSTANTLY walking around cleaning up after the kids so there is somewhat a sense of order despite it being busy at times. One of the best parts about being a member is having "member only" times to visit. There are far fewer people and for about an hour, the museum is semi-quite. My daughter always has a great time and we thoroughly enjoy watching her explore. The ONLY downside is that some parents do not thoroughly watch their children so you do get occasional stinkers taking over areas or being rude but that goes with any establishment with kids.

Prasanna Narayanan

This is a great place for kids under 5. This is crowded on weekends. Annual membership is recommended if you love in the area as there are lots to explore.

Anthony schuman

Great place to spend a day with the kids. Rotating exhibits are lots of fun.

Robert Darling

Great place for the little ones and the family as well. Great interactive activities for all inside and outside.

Holly Wall

Amazing children's museum! Need 3 plus hours for first visit, at least, especially if nice outside.

Tylor Walters

Awesome place to take the kids. There is so much to do here. Great place for kids to play and stimulate their brains. Either low on staff or just not helpful or present.

Stephanie Gonzalez

Really awesome museum!!! My kids have so much fun here and we visit so frequently that the membership was totally worth the price!! Especially for parking too!

Daniel Byrd

I'm am so glad we were able to visit this amazing Hands on Children's Museum. My daughter is 8 and my son 9 months and there was something excited for both of them. We viaited on a Saturday and it was busy esp. With birthday parties but still my daughter was able to participate in everything. She especially liked the apple cider pressing and tasting, the water scince center and the outdoor discovery and trikes. Everything was clean, friendly staff, great little cafe and parents have so much fun too. I totally recommend.

Gerry Meisner

It was raining and we needed something to do with our 2 year old grandson. Did a search and found the HOCM. It was an excellent place to spend 3 hours. Even though it was past his nap time he was alert, happy and having a great time. Next time he visits we'll go again and he'll be able to do more things. Great place for young kids.

Andy Lin

Extremely good museum. Best in the area. Lots of activities to do including an outside area with bubbles. Son had a great time. Watch out for groupon deals to save some money! Too bad it's so far from our house, but it's worth the trip!

Tim Hunt

It must be a tardis cause its way bigger on the inside - When you first go in its kind of cramped, the entry just isnt very large and there is a smallish dining area. Then as you're young ones run away and into the thunderdome of hundreds of other kids... you realize that this place is massive. At one point i thought "Ok we've raced a boat, drove a helicopter, been to the dentist and grocery store... have to be winding down... then you go upstairs and see twice as many things to do. We lucked out with our 4 y.o. son wearing a bright colored hat... so I was able to follow him as he weaved in and out of the other kids... I'd suggest for your sanity you come up with an interesting way of marking your child.

Moose Maus-Hawg

My child goes berserk here. We love this place. Safe environment too.

Dana Brown

My 8y and 2.5y love the place and can spend hours there.

George Ivanov

Our kid loved it there. Lots to do for kids age 3 and above. Building wooden ships and running them in water canal. We went there for the Ice fest. There was dry ice shows, snowball throwing and socks ice rink. Spent four hours there easily. Parking was a bit tight so be prepared to drop off your family and drive around to find parking.

John Williams

Loved it. A bit crowded and lost track of my kid on some of the busiest areas but lots of fun and learning

Charisa Thiessen

If you can think of what a kid would want to do or dream of what they would want... this place has it! Very clean and the staff was amazing. Our 4,7,&9 year old played for over 4 hours and begged to stay longer! Even mom and dad got in on some of the activities. What a wonderful place to spend the day! Worth every penny!

Spencer Jones

A wonderful emporium of fun encapsulating the imagination of every child. The Hands on Children's Mueseum features permanent exhibits, seasonal exhibits, and a variety of scholastic and day care programs. The food court has plenty of options including fresh wraps and sandwiches. Show your EBT card to get free and reduced price entry depending how many in your party. I recommend this place to friends and family time and time again.

Kalaya

This is such a fun and cute place for the little ones. It's definitely hands on, everything in the museum you can touch, EVERYTHING!! Also adults can tap into their inner child and interact with the museum as well.

Stephanie Schilling

We Love this place. If we lived closer we would get the year pass because we would be there all the time!

Alex Cooper

This hands-on museum has so many awesome things about it, but what earned my 5-star rating is the fact that they gave us extra pants when our child wet themself. Such kindness!

Brittney Rich

My kids had a blast at this museum. My 81/2 yr old son first acted like he was too old but he ended up having so much fun.

Tiffany Belcher

Great place for kiddos, kind/helpful staff and my son loves it there. The only downside is that it’s so popular at times that it can get crowded but my son always enjoys it.

Knight D

They have family friendly indoor as well as outdoor play areas. Mud kitchen to make some mud soup, trike rides, lighthouse for a surrounding view, gravel pit with dump truck and excavator for your construction fan, water painting for your painter, building boats for your sailor, police car, fire truck, helicopter, ambulance etc are so much fun. Highly recommended. Not a sponsored review.

Adele Lafever

This expansive children's museum would be almost impossible to see all in one day. Each of the large play areas are carefully curated for playtime and could easily occupy a full morning for a busy young child. The free outdoor area alone has easily entertained my children and their friends for hours.

Angela Soliven

First time here today my 8 year old son with autism had so much fun payed for parking when we got outside we had an infraction. I called and they took off the infraction. Wasn't happy when i seen it

Douglass McAllister

Hands down the best place to take children in all of the land. Great interaction with kids and parents staff is friendly.

lealan corbin

We rented a birthday room for our 5 year old and had such an amazing time! The staff was extremely helpful and all the children and parents loved it!

Joe Hicks

I have a 5yr old girl she loves this place. There are all kinds of interactive activities . We come here so often we found it more affordable to buy the year pass. The picture was from a modeling clay activity we did as a family

Katena Bach

This is the most wonderful place to take my 1 and 3 year olds! From the friendly front desk staff to all the amazing activities it's a great way to spend the day. Lots of opportunities for imaginative play and things to do for children up through 10. So much fun, I would recommend this place to anyone who is considering visiting. It's worth the drive from Federal Way.

Laura Nathan

Lots of fun for the 2-7 crowd. Plan to spend several hours. We were there for three hours and only were able to complete a few rooms. Never made it upstairs. Very impressive. Complex, complete and detailed in breadth and depth of activities.

Amber M

There is lots to do and keeps the kids busy for hours, each and every time they come. We have been here many times and my 9,5, and 2 year old never get bored. Summer time they usually add extra activities outside. There is even a free fake stream out front that kids can play and splash around on hot days. It is clean, and a lot of kids usually means a mess but there is always someone cleaning up and putting things away so it stays really neat for everyone.

Emily Seelig

Great place for families and kids up to the ages of about 4 or 5. Use the hand sanitizer though. My son gets sick every time we go.

Sarah Chittick

Getting a family membership was the best thing we've done for our little guy. Highly recommend it!!

Riss Smith

There are more amazing ways to play than there are time to finish in one visit, and even though I've been bringing my 8yr old since he was barely crawling, he (and my other kids) can always find ways to get lost in play. The painting and other art work are a great way to start, so that your kids' creations have time to dry/set while you explore other areas. In the summer, the heated water in the "stream" is turned on and it's free to splash and swim, but it may be hard to bring the kids so close without going in to play!

Sherry Johnson

Very hands on and interactive from the small grocery store to the arts room upstairs. There are occupational interests for the kids to try out. It can get busy and at times hard to keep track of multiple kids. Sometimes it can be hard to find a quiet area but it is possible in the art room. Up and Down and a gaggle of kids! The outside areas are also enjoyable. The stream in front uses reclaimed water from the neighboring Treatment Plant. Also some is used in the building. It is treated but my concern is there is no known treatment for pharmaceuticals that will pass through with out treatment and the kids can come in contact with it. But that’s my concern. Overall a great place for kids. Also the staff is always, always aware of adults in the building and who they are with. That’s a plus!

Shanti Mai

Really fun place! I especially loved the room where items were whisked - at high speeds and to high heights - through clear tubes, then spewed out again. A whole wall of that, the tubes going in different directions. Pretty addictive! To me, learning is fun, and this museum can bring loads of children and their parents to that same conclusion!

Jonathon Nolan

This place is beyond expectations! It is well worth the visit and has something for everyone. This was my first time there with my kids (who have been there before) and I was blown away at everything they had to do. It is a learning experience for the kids and to let them use their imagination.

Dave Mroz

What an adventure! This place is extremely well done, with a seemingly endless amount of interactive displays and exhibits for kids of all ages to play with. The museum was clean and well staffed, with plenty of (not free) parking.

ThatsNotAStar ThatsALolo

So much to do, kids never get bored!

Amanda

It is expensive. So if you have a large family it can get outrageous. It is really cool though. There is lots to do and everything is of good quality.

kalan Goodrich

Always such a fun time here with kids exploring and learning while playing. Took a class of preschool children here and they had a great time playing in different areas while they were learning. Staff was awesome, very friendly and helpful, ready to assist in any way. Staff was very conscious about making sure that all of the children were accounted for before we left for the day. It is fun watching the kids explore and learn what we as adults probably already know.

Kimberlee Clark

Had our sons birthday here and it was a blast. The staff were so helpful and really encouraged recycling and green habits. Everyone who we invited were really impressed and smiles all around.

Alexa Pression

Always a fun day for the kids there is a ton for them to do. Better on weekdays when there are less people though!

catie

Such a fun place! We bring our daughter almost every weekend! She is almost 2 and has a blast. The only downfall is the no stroller rule, but I understand it as there really is no room for them. We just carry our younger child the whole time, but there is a place for younger children to play.

This place does not disappoint. I thought for sure it would be boring for adults and too kid oriented. Nope, everything is interactive and exceptionally fun. I only planned on staying for an hour, 6 hours flew by before I knew it. So much fun and entertainment. Worth multiple trips. Food is good and staff is friendly. Great accommodations for every genre. See you again soon.

A very family friendly place, reasonable pricing especially sence you could spend an entire day here without getting bored. I am pretty sure that in had almost as much fun as my 2 year old did. All of the staff is helpful and friendly. Parking is easy to pay for inside when your paying for your entry. They also have arts and crafts that happen regularly, where you can make somthing and take it home.

We went here for a few hours one day during our family vacation. I will keep this short and sweet, our 2.5 yr old loved it. I saw every kid up to 12 or 13 having a blast. The creativity of things is awesome. This place was above and beyond my expectations, it truly was amazing and we will go back again even though we are 90+ minutes away. . . . .

We took our grandchildren to the Hands On Children's Museum, and they had a great time. We arrived when the museum opened, and that is recommended because it gets very crowded by midday. The displays are creative and varied, so it was fun for everyone.

I do events for our company in Lacey, WA. This year was the 2nd time in the last 4 years we have had our family Christmas party at the Hands on Childrens Museum. The staff is so helpful with set up and the Museum is just awesome. What a treat for all the kids and their parents too. They help you with set up, tear down and arranging catering. They made it easy, fun, and memorable!!

We had a wonderful time here. There are many activities and lots to see and learn.

Wild Ones

We drove up here from Oregon and had so much fun! The staff was friendly and upkeep the place pretty well for how many kids there were running around. We managed to get some good footage so if you're a family planning on going check out this video on youtube. (Children's Museum Pretend Play|Indoor Playground for Kids) #indoorplayground :) WILD ONES Kids channel. Thanks hope you check it out and have fun!

I love it here! The kids love it here! There is so much to do and explore. There's a big play toy in the center but it's mostly play toys designed for that section. For example, there was an emergency section, so there was a helicopter, ambulance, police car, fire truck, doctors office and nursery to play in. Everything is Thurston County / Puget Sound based. Very fun and very fun day. Love it!

First Friday is awesome... First 2 free, 3rd person is just $2. Great Children's hands on museum. Fun and very much worth the time!

Lots of children running around. Needs more security saw lots of creepy old guys. I had fun.

Kate Green

best children's museum we have been to. they have a separate area for babies! and a complete outside area with bicycle path, gardening, and beach areas. a must go for all young kids.

Fredrick Tuso

My daughter loves going here and the membership was worth every penny. The employees are great and the activities are really creative and fun.

Drove over an hour to meet with others who drove over an hour to experince this. Guess what! They decided they would be closed at 2pm since after hours there is an event! Which oddly effects their usual hours? ANYWAY!? Why is this not posted some where? ALSO telling me to get a refund from groupon THE MOMENT I step out of my car before even closing my door is a bit rude and does me no good when I waisted a lot of time and gas when it could have easily been posted some place, any place online. Word of advice always call first always!!!

Jarrett Redman

Highly recommend! We've visited kids museums across the country and this is definitely one of the better ones (especially for smaller kids). The only downside for parents is that you can't bring your coffee into the museum

Kat McCoy-Rampp

I want to love this place...but the cost is so high. Charging the same price for parents?! It's more expensive to go here (by a good deal) than it is to go to the movies....and that's saying something. Why go here and see the same stuff for insane amounts of money when you could drive to Tacoma and go to their Children's museum for free!?

Lori Hart

I got in because a friend had free passes. I joined as soon as I got home because my granddaughter had a great time and I want to take her back as often as I can.

Allison Machado - Ross

This place is a treasure! We became members so we can enjoy it again.

Ruben Stemple

This is a great place for kids. There are many activities and play areas for kids. As with many other childrens museums there are play areas like grocery stores, rescue squads, police cars, ships, and many others. A two story climbing wall and outdoor area with tricycles will keep even very active children busy. They have a well stocked arts and crafts area. Staff is friendly and helpful and they are constantly cleaning and picking up toys.

Molly Zepeda

JPII High School has hosted their Prom at Hands On Children's Museum for the past two years, and they have loved it! Not only is the staff knowledgeable and helpful, but planning and communication was excellent. Hosting an event for high school students can be tricky, but HOCM delivers. The exhibit availability in addition to the dance allows students to enjoy themselves, neat murals make for unique photo booths, and helpful staff takes the work load off of student event planners. JPII High School highly recommends this venue for your next event!

Amanda Young

The kids had a blast. Many great opportunities to learn and craft. Hours of entertainment

My son is a year and a half old and I'm so sad it took me and my wife that long to take him here, I wish would have done this 6 months ago. This place is amazing and way bigger then I though it would be. Highly recommend coming here for kids of all ages.

Tiana Holmes

My 5 year old daughter and I got the chance to come here as guests. We had so much fun! 10/10 would come back. We did run into a less enthusiastic worker outside in the tricycle area, but her short tone didn't rain on our parade. My daughter has been asking to go back and we would definitely return!

Evonne Cram

Was very fun, artistic, something for everyone and soooooo creative. Gathered some great ideas.

Annee Hilliard

We had a blast. Took 7 kids and one has ADHD and sensory issues, and all of them behaved and had so much fun. Will be back again for sure.

BRANDON JONES

Amazing place to take children of all ages. Even is adults got in on the fun

Shawna Oberholtzer

This place is awesome!! My 3 year old and I were there for 4 hours and enjoyed ourselves the whole time. My son could have stayed all day! The only negative is the parking. I only saw street parking, which is fine, if the city allowed you to park there more than 3 hours. Just a small inconvenience of having to move my car around the block for incredible fun in the museum!

Vice Queen

Just went recently and had an amazing time. My daughter loved all the fun activities and play grounds. They have different sections for different ages as well. We are definitely going back!!

Kattarina Simons

This is a great museum generally. But it’s incredibly frustrating to have the outdoor area closed during the limited nice weather we get. It would also be helpful accurate info was available when we arrived. Today I was frustrated when on a gorgeous day, the outdoor area was closed and the front desk couldn’t tell us when it would be open again or when the new outdoor exhibit would open. I will say that the Museum did respond to my frustration via email, which is admirable. We are looking forward to the new stuff. Thanks for putting up with frazzled parents and crazy kids.

sarah kim

This place was amazing!!!! The were so many activities revolving around all different types of sensory, dramatic, explorative, and educational play. All the different activities kept my son busy for hours! I really appreciate all the different center available for my son to enjoy. The is cafe in house, but we opted not to eat there and explore other food options in downtown Olympia. The great thing about this is that the museum stamps your hand upon admission so you can come and go from the museum with ease. I would reccomend this place to any one with kids. It is definitely worth the admission fee.

Steven A.

Amazing and so much fun!

Kevin Leon

Went with a friend who has kids. Despite it being called "Children's Museum", I had fun and was captivated by the different exhibits. My favorite was the water exhibit where you could change the flow of water. Plenty to see, and learn.

Cissy Davis

Its great but its basically the same stuff all the time. My grandkids have gotten bored going. It would be nice if they had more variety.

Angela Ewing

When it’s not busy the children’s museum is great. They work to have engaging exhibits and the outdoor area has been updated. Beware visiting when a lot of field trips are happening - children are often unsupervised.

David Macey

the Kids love this place, I would bring them here whenever they're behaved. they have a great food court area and the staff are very nice to the kids.
