At this moment this firm receives a rating of 4.8 out of 5 and this rating has been based on 1352 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings that it reaches is virtually the highest, and it is founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can say that the valuation is very faithful. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they are happy, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to place tatings when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Museum is included in the category of Museum.
Amazing to see all the planes, as well as the flight simulators. Very friendly staff and atmosphere, and the given tours were full of story and details. Highly recommended to visit this place!
GREAT PLACE! RECOMMENDED TO EVERYONE!!! People were very informative and look like they enjoy their work. Will be going back with my grandchildren on their Thanksgiving vacation because they have a "plane and trains and Santa interactive displays for the kids" for the holidays.
Loved it. Awesome volunteers. They were all super friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly love what they are doing. Huge and beautifully restored ww1&ww2 inventory. Each plane has a story about where they got it from. This place is def not for little kids. I'd say like 8+, maybe? There is no touching the planes and no one likes someonelses whiny bored child...
Incredible place to get up close to so much history. The guided tours and volunteers are a wealth of information. You will love it!
Great place. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Will definitely be back
Cool vintage planes. Great people.
Very interesting place to check out. Just don't touch the planes.
Quite a few airplanes, nothing newer than the 1950's. Very good tour of the facilities, suggest allowing at least 3 hours to see everything they have. A couple of their planes aren't operational, but probably 90 percent of them fly.
This is an interesting museum showing German war planes. They had a model of Hitlers plane to. Another hanger had shown the development of flight. The improvements were really interesting. The guides were actual pilots and mechanics who knew alot about these planes. In the main building there are several virtual flight simulators with different levels to try. It is of this airport and the area surroundings. So much fun. Also, you can watch the planes fly on the grass field. The visit can be about 3 to 4 hours. For youngsters there are dinosaur models in the entrance. A definite enjoyable day.
So much to see..very knowledgeable Docents..Fantastic air show with Betty the pilot If you like WWII aircraft this is the museum to go to
Such a fun place to take kids of all ages.
Awesome and clean facility, but they won't share the wifi password and the cell coverage there is very hit or miss.
Kind of expensive, but where else are you going to hear, smell, and see these planes fly! Open and spacious building. Main building has ac.
Get up close and personal with beautifully restored WW 1and 2 aircraft.
This place is amazing! Hard to believe there are that many vintage WWI and WWII airplanes in one place and still in working condition. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Two thumbs up for our tour guide Warren. Check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.
Love to be up close and personal with vintage planes and their replicas? This is the place for you!
Awesome place where you can find all world war 2 planes. Very well maintained. Guide is knowledgeable. In case you would like to take a flight they do have tours which last for 15 mins. Its worth every penny.
It was great to see all of these old warbirds in such great condition! We even got to see the mechanics start up an F4F Wildcat! Awesome experience!
I never knew this place existed until today. We had our Priority Auto Group summer picnic there and I must say, I'll go back and visit the aviation museum someday.
AMAZING!!! This is as close as you can get to aviation history. Most all of the planes actually fly, and other exhibits like cars etc are operational as well. You walk the hangars without any barriers between you and the planes, ducking under their wings and smelling the engine oil. The volunteer guides are also amazing, flight vets with clear passion for what they do. A must for anyone, especially history and aviation buffs.
$15 admission, free parking, open 9-5 every day but Christmas & Thanksgiving. Plan on 3-5 hours. There are multiple docent-led tours of two other buildings daily lasting 1 1/2 hours (200 yards away: most drove, many walked). If you go on two tours - with different docents - you'll effectively get a different tour.
Great place. Quality planes. Good people
Amazing. The collection and amount of old war birds is incredible.
I have been excited to take my fiancée to this museum for months. We drove from Indiana and are staying from a brief vacation down in Nags Head. The 2 hour to the museum was filled with stories of war planes. The planes at the museum were beautiful. The docent was wonderful. He had so much to share about the planes. Having not been in probably 10-12 years, it was fun to see the new buildings with additional planes. We visited on a very hot and humid day. Although it was only 4:35pm, one of the volunteers came into the hangers, where there is no air conditioning, and closed the hanger doors and turned off some of the lights. The hanger was already hot, but closing the doors made it miserable within 2-3 minutes. The lower lighting didn’t help with the air, but made it a bit challenging to see. Being heat sensitive, I couldn’t view the items in the hanger and had to go back into the visitor center area. My fiancée tried to look for a few more minutes and came out sweating profusely. I asked a few of the volunteers if they closed at 5pm, which he confirmed and then asked why are they closing up 20-25 minutes early. I told him that the 30secs. It took to pull that hanger door shut and then turn off the lights could have been completed at 5pm. He stated they always stating closing everything up that early. Then why post the museum as open until 5pm? What a disappointment to a otherwise enjoyable experience.
What a fun experience! The people that work/volunteer there are so knowledgeable. Great way to spend an afternoon.
This is a must see for any history buff, aviator or family visiting the area. Great for adults and children alike and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable.
Incredible place with amazing planes in both Navy and Army hangars.
Very friendly staff and knowledge. I love history and the enthusiasm held by the staff explaining the aircrafts during the tour was great. Definitely recommend going and I took my kids and went to visit the dinosaur display afterwards.
This place is AMAZING! Small airfield lots of working WW1 and WW2 aircrafts. Definitely take the free tours!!
Great collection. Wonderful volunteer staff. Guided tour was very informative.
By far the best museum in the area and definitely the most unique aviation museum I've been to. I wouldn't normally opt into one of the guided tours, but here out is well worth it. The staff are extremely informative on the aircraft and their WW1 and German hangers blew my mind. If you want to spend a good couple of hours in a day, this museum is a must see.
For someone interested in early aviation this is a must. Fantastic tour guide (Ed) made history come alive and the collection of airplanes (most of them operational) is phenomenal! Offers flight tours as well.
If you are interested in military aviation history, this is a must see. Also has a cute little museum store for souvenirs.
This truly was a gem to find! So many world war I and II planes kept in immaculate condition and with original paintwork. The docents were all very friendly and knowledgeable. You could tell they really loved sharing their knowledge. They had a control tower from World War II flown from England and reassembled brick by brick. Also, an original German air hangar reassembled and restored. There was still so much my dad and I didn't have time to see including their dinosaur garden, static exhibits and to fly in one of their planes. If you love war history and aircraft definitely check this place out!
Just a great place! Soooooo many planes. The volunteer staff was the best! Everyone was super knowledgeable and friendly! Even my boys loved it (6 and 3). Also a free dino park that looked rad (didn't have time to make it there).
Great museum that offers plane rides in two older planes. The pilots, mechanics and workers are all knowledgeable, professional, and extremely helpful.
Large collection of Soviet fighter planes you don't see elsewhere WW1 planes are too crowded .
The museum is very well preserved. The staff is very friendly, kind and courteous. The tour was awesome
Oh what can't I say about this museum except I wish I had left myself with a lot more time to get around to take everything in. If you are into airplanes and artifacts from WWI and WWII then this is absolutely the best place to go. First let me say that they have on hand the greatest staff who are incredibly knowledgeable. Most are retired military and they know their stuff. They take pride in every piece in the museum. They have tours you can take advantage of or you can walk about on your own. I encourage the tour as there is so much more you can learn from your guide. If you check ahead you can arrange for a private ride to go up in one of the planes. This museum is a " don't miss" and while there check out the fantastic gift shop.
If you love planes and aviation then you'll like it. Great experience and enjoyed the special event. Only negative was I didn't know where to go once there... for special event and the displays. Kinda lacked direction for guests, felt like stumbled into everything
Very interesting. The tour guide was knowledgeable and kept things light. There's so much history here and it's nice they are both preserving and allowing others to experience it in a variety of ways.
Excellent collection of warplanes in flying condition. Try to catch one of the frequent airshows, but it's a great place to visit even on a quiet day.
awesome place..learned a lot about history
Fun place, full of historical planes, the tour guides are the best, have lots of information.
Awesome displays and staff. Lots of knowledge and details.
A great experience! The museum has an excellent collection of aircraft and artifacts from the WWI and WWII eras. That so many of the aircraft and replicas actually fly is amazing. The Biplane rides are a real treat!
Great space and tons of aviation history. AND DINOSAURS!!!
Absolutely amazing museum. Heaven of aircraft mechanics
flight ready airplanes you can see up close? very cool
Fantastic collection of military aircraft and an excellent gift shop, but what really makes this a great place to visit are the friendly and knowledgeable docents who share a wealth of knowledge and insight on the significance of the aircraft in the collection. Plan to spend at least several hours, you will enjoy it.
Fantastic museum. Very informative, very friendly
Many different planes from WWI, WWII and afterwards. There's even some cars and motorcycles that you can check out as well. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The museum also offers plane rides that you have to schedule at least 2 weeks in advance, so it's definitely something to check out.
Awesome experience, well worth the money
Fantastic little museum. Has a lot of planes and 98% still work! There is a lot of history here and the volunteers are extremely knowledgeable about the planes and history that surrounds them in that era. The tours are very cool and you can learn a lot about different countries as well as our own!
Fun time. Very knowledgeable staff.
Such an awesome place, well worth the $15 ticket. Spent about 3 hours walking around the hangers and getting a guided tour (the only way you can see many of the planes) and it was unlike any plane museum I've ever been to. All the staff was super knowledgeable and you could tell their love for aviation, not to mention being up close and personal with planes that actually still fly!! I could go on and on, but I hope you'll see for yourself if you have time
Great plane for WW I and WW Ii planes, a must stop for all history buffs
Loved my 1st visit during a Company event.. great place
Great military warbird show. Best collection of aircraft from WW2 I have ever seen.
The best. A must.
They've got a fantastic collection of aircraft here, and a lot of rare ones as well. Gift shop has some pretty cool souvenirs as well! If you like historical aircraft, you'll love this place!
The museum has multiple hangers with Army and Navy fighters and bombers, dating from 1900's to 1950, of American and foreign manufacture. Excellent exhibits that you can get very close to, with friendly, engaging staff interpreters.
Beautiful place . only only only complaint need a.c. in the tour buildings. Other then that very very very good place and personal. Again very good
Very fascinating and interesting pieces of history from all around the world
I am actually here decorating for a wedding BUT in the time I've been here I've learned more about the history of aviation than in all my life. The staff is VERY helpful. The gift shop is pretty neat and the planes are so amazing.
Best kept secret in VA Beach. Gotta see it to believe it. Huge collection of WWI and WWII flying/fighting aircraft. Super events onsite. And, free, fun dinosaur display at wooded entrance. More people should see this awesome treasure.
Fantastic. Wish I had paid more attention in school. Very informative by Flash.
Wonderful, excellent, great docents, exceptional displays. Certain times of the year they have the exhibit planes flying off their grass strip. I believe there is also a time when you can fly you personal airplane in. This is the best museum I have visited and it is right in our back yard. The Smithsonian May be rated tops but this was not overwhelming. Family friendly. We come from a military family and have a love of aviation. The volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great collection and some very interesting pieces.
It's on the edge of no where, but up close and personal access to vintage aircraft and dozens of caring and engaging curators!
What history lessons I learned and witnessed today at this museum!
Do yourselves a favor. And go here. I mean it. Take the time for the festivals! It was a lot bigger than I originally thought. Every question you have about the planes is answered for the most part. Guys! 75% or more of these planes still fly! The arcticture for the hanger is beautifully done. The owner popped up while we were there. It's obvious to see the appreciation for history here. I will be returning. Its April too. If you have a zoo membership. It's free but only for April! Free parking too. Also they have dinos upfront (free to look) for the little ones.
Super cool museum. Great for older kids we took our 8 year old and he loved it. It would not have been a good fit for younger kids, we didn't take the 4 year old. Old fragile planes and kids that like to run, touch and go crazy just would have left me a nervous wreck. The 8 year old loved learning about the different planes and history behind them. They also had some flight simulators that were fun for both the kids and adults.
Incredible. I learned so much on the tour. This turned out to be a lot more than I thought it would be. Very nice place. Go visit!
Small museum, but really good. Lots of planes on display and the tour guides are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Really enjoyed our visit.
Wings over the Beach today was a great show. So nicely done. Can't possibly post all my pictures. Traveled down here from MA, and was well worth the trip!! Can't wait to come back! Thank you to the Museum, all the pilots, and all the volunteers who helped pull this off. Highlight for me was the takeoff of the B-25, but everything else was on point too. Such a good show.
Incredible aircraft from around the world, almost all in flying condition. The docents are very courteous and knowledgeable Plus there is a dinosaur park out front for the kids !
We had a wonderful time here the planes were all a big part of history. The majority of them still get flown for air shows. We had a volunteer who took us on a tour and gave us alot of great information on the planes. It was fun to be able to understand a bit more about our war hustory.
The museum was very user friendly and family oriented. Wished it had more info on Tuskegee Airmen.
We went to today for Biplanes and Brews it was really awesome. They did and airshow with planes that are part of their museum. The also had different local breweries that you were able to buy samples. For me this is a great way to try new brews. There was also great entertainment. They sang and played music from WW1 era. They also have period reenactments of military camps and a Salvation Army camp. I would definitely go to this event again.
This was very cheap and very interesting. I loved it as much as the kids. The dinosaurs were a great addition as well. Highly recommend.
Great weekend get away. Nice selection of museum exhibits. Some were taken out and flown while we were there.
Awesome experience. Lots of still flying WWI and WWII aircraft accessorized with beautifully restored vehicles. Working cutaway models of famous engines. Must see.
It was very interesting. I don't know who is the owner of the museum is. But he is got to be a great man. I hope that it is set up to continue after we are all gone. The guide we had was very knowledgeable. The Airforce man. Thank You for everything. I hope to be able to return in May of next year when you'll have your Air Show. We are from Florida and I think it will be worth it.
Wow what a gem! This is privately owned museum near Virginia Beach. The folks that work there are passionate about the old aircraft. The machines are in great shape for the most part. I was most impressed with the world WWI hanger. So many old birds! Just an amazing display. This was I don't miss kind of place.
Informative. Friendly. Helped with my research needs.
It's a cool little museum and the fact that you can ride in one of the antic plans if the price is right, Well that's pretty cool.
Very educational! Staff very nice
Amazing place where history comes alive. Great event venue as well.
Loved this place. Clean, staff was amazing and knowledgeable.
A nice place to visit lots to see and only $15 to get in plus you can take a plane ride
Great collection of WW I & WW III planes and other related stuff. The air show and the music were great.
We went here for Biplanes and Beers. It was fun and educational. This is a great place to come with friends and children. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and helpful. The money is worth it knowing that it all goes to the education, restoration and preservation of the historical aircraft. This venue houses an amazing display of American history.
Friendly staff, dedicated volunteers, and a wealth of knowledge. This is definitely a "Can't miss out on this!" Good for kids, too, with their own dinosaur park, "Jerrassic Park"! Can't say enough!
I spent few hours with my two sons. Great time
Excellent tour. Very knowledgeable tour guides. Would recommend to anyone
Great museum with enthusiastic staff! They have even German and Russian planes and all aircrafts are still used for flying! Check out their calendar for airshows, we unfortunately missed one. And don't forget to visit Jerassic Park nearby :-)
Awesome museum you will see ww1 and ww2 airplanes and entire buildings from the European war theatre that you would not find anywhere else!
We had so much fun at the museum. My son got to see Santa fly in on a bi-plane, then he got to see amazing airplanes in the hanger, and to top it off, he was allowed to play with large scale model trains. To add to the fun, they're we're food trucks service fantastic food. Your entire family will have so much here.
Well staffed with very knowledgeable people. The displays were interesting and extremely well maintained. We will definitely return.
Was a good experience for the kids to learn about. Get there early for plane rides. They all fly!
Great museum with great staff. You can get up close and personal with all the aircraft. I would give it 10 stars if I could. The dinosaur sculptures at the entrance are also very cool.
This museum delivers! Tons of cool planes and volunteers that are very knowledgeable and available.
We spent hours here! The veterans there (namely Brad... thank you sir!) Gave us a tour and answered questions. Very informative and interesting! We will go back!
Our second visit here, we were trying to catch the Mosquito there but it was away at an air show. We did get to see their stunning Spitfire and Hurricane as well as a number of rare Russian birds. This museum is a must-see if you're an aviator or aviation fan. All of the birds are flyable and on any given weekend, you just may see one testing its mettle in the skies... :-)
First rate aviation museum! Awesome tour guide. Plan on spending a few hours to see some of the finest examples of early military aviation!
Excellent collection of planes from the first and second world wars along with other items of interest. The docents are very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions.
As always, outstanding service and attention from the dedicated staff and volunteers.
Well worth it. All the volunteers were friendly and a wealth of information. I highly recommended coordinating your visit with a guided tour - Warren was informative, fun, funny and engaging; he even included our 5 and 6 year olds. Jerrassic world at the entrance is just an added bonus. The whole visit was great.
You must experience this! So much history and amazing historical military aircraft and equipment. The tour guides are so knowledgeable, they made our experience here!
Cool place to go check out the staff was very knowledgeable about the aircraft.
This place is amazing! The tour takes you to the other buildings that you can't access by yourself. So please take the tour if you go.
The Military Aviation Museum was a great place to go. You could see all the old planes restored in a hanger and even learn about them too!
It was nice but for sure could of been more organized. They had loads of empty space in some places then not enough in others. The planes are all fly ready. The bad is some of the staff made it seem like they didnt want to be there. Which made it feel like an uncomfortable environment at times.
The museum features some of the most famous war birds from WWI and WWII, and unlike many such collections, these planes are kept flyable. Visitors can get up close and get views that one wouldn't get elsewhere. Two things that stuck out specifically was a significant number of Soviet aircraft and experimental jet aircraft of the Luftwaffe.
It was a rainy and windy day. The staff were very accommodating and they even still fly some of the planes there, which is risky based on the age of the planes, but they do air shows regularly too.
Surprisingly good museum. Less about display and access (photography of any particular bird may be impossible) and more about being able to walk out and around the aircraft. Some portion of collection are replicas, but this includes a lot of German WWII experimental designs that weren't produced at the time, like a Lippisch P.13a. The MiG-3 buried quietly in the back of the Army hangar is probably the crown jewel, but wasn't even mentioned on the tour. Would definitely visit (or do acquisition/project management for) again.
My daughter did her Girl Scout Gold Award with the museum and Stan Bialas was her mentor! The tours are phenomenal so much to see and stories to be heard. I would go every day if I could!!!
Really nice museum and loved all of the hangers and artifacts. A little disappointed we weren’t told where to meet for the tour of the WW1 hangers and when we showed up, were rudely kicked out. Should’ve just been able to view the hangers freely if we missed the tour considering we paid. Better communication would be nice. A nice place to visit though with lots of history
This place is great! Worth the trip, and one of Va Beach's best attractions! Tour through the hangars was great. Thank you Lar! If you like WWI and WWII aviation, this is the place to be. Friendly and knowledgeable staff! And don't forget to let the kids get a picture with the dinosaurs! Can't wait to come back for the Air Show!!
Great aviation displays. Worth the trip and cost for us.
A WEDDING that was here was amazing & pictures to prove it. THANKYOU to the Guison family for the invite with perla & emilie.
I am retired Army , Air Force and have been to the Military Aviation Museum several times, but this was the first time from the Poems and fire works. Everything was great.
A must-see if you are in Virginia Beach and interested in military history. They have an extensive collection of planes from all around the world that were used in both world wars and Korea. They also have an actual RAF Control Tower and an original German hangar. The most unique part of the experience is that so many of the planes still can fly. If you get lucky (or come for an event) you might see one take off or land!
One of the best aviation museums. Working WWI and WWII planes.
What an amazing museum! Much more than I thought it would be. If you like airplanes at all, this is highly recommended for a visit.
Great place.Helpful and friendly staff.Do try the tour they offer. Its very interesting and informative.I loved my visit
Such a fantastic collection of war birds! A perfect family friendly and educational destination.
What sets this place apart from other aviation museums is these planes can and do fly. Go during a big weekend event and you can hear and feel the power of these great war birds as they take off and fly, something film cannot replicate. The staff is amazing with their knowledge and are more than happy to chat you up with amazing facts.
Very friendly staff and cool airplanes and some other military stuff like a anti-aircraft gun and WW2 military cars from different countries would recommend.
A hidden gem! So many airplanes to see and the volunteers have so many stores to share. We took the guided tour as well as the self guided. Unlike many museums, you are able to walk around the entire airplane up close. They also fly the planes frequently. Highly recommend.
The people were very nice and knowledgeable and the airplanes were really cool and they're in flying condition
Amazing. I've lived in the Hampton Roads area for over 20 years and I just went for the first time. And I was completely floored. I can't believe such an awesome place exists so close to home and I had never been before. This has instantly become one of my favorite places in the region. The amount of love that they put into these old aircraft is amazing. Not to mention just the opportunity to get right up next to them makes you feel like you have been transported back in time. I am already looking forward to going back again as soon as possible.
Brian and Tom were awesome tour guides! An amazing collection of aircraft, automobiles and memorabilia.
Neet to learn about the planes. Dont miss going on a tour to learn more.
A hidden gem! So many airplanes to see and the volunteers have so many stores to share. We took the guided tour as well as the self guided. Unlike many museums, you are able to walk around the entire airplane up close. They also fly the planes frequently. Highly recommend.
Awesome experience! Knowledgeable staff! New exhibits being curated all the time!
Great experience with the children, they had alot of planes for them to learn about. Great staff there to help you understand about the history of them. They also did a show of one plane taking off and landing,All of the kids enjoyed it. Gift shop had alot of toys and things to buy as a souvenir for a reminder of the trip.
Awesome place n for everyone of all age groups to visit. Neat place.
Very good. Very informative guides.
Had a wonderful time here! My husband really enjoyed the simulator, I enjoyed the gift shop
Small bit all historical planes are in flying condition.toir of hangers is amazing
Great place with great history and amazing staff. The places looked amazing and the staff there was beyond amazing while I had my kids with me. Also the dinosaur sculpture area is amazing and the kids lived it.
I love this place so much I became a member. It's awesome. Today they had allowing care
Very nicely done. Lots of planes, great information. Gets hot at the hangers, bring a bottle of water in summer. Really great to see these planes so well cared for.
I had a great time make sure to ask for Warren for your tour guide he was very nice and had a great sense of humor I also loved all of the planes
Awesome place to visit, beautiful planes and exhibits. I brought my 18 month old, 3 year old and 6 year old. Not the place for kids. They did enjoy the dinosaur park but inside was not very kid friendly.
Great museum staffed with friendly and knowledge volunteers. Absolutely wonderful seeing those vintage aircraft and listening to the stories from the guides.
The history surrounding the planes is truly amazing!!! You can FEEL the history. Also, seeing The Fighter Factory and the mechanics in action was wonderful!!! Watching the Junker and the Mosquito run-ups was awesome!!! Definitely THE place to go for aviation buffs.
The place is a staple in the community and it is a thoroughly educating experience. Perfect for anyone, single or bursting with family this is the place to go to immerse yourself in aviation history ! I don't see how you can consider yourself a fan of Aviation having not yet visited ! I challenge you to go for you would never be the same! The staff are caring and helpful the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. you will also get more than just aviation history. They have tanks and other military equipment as well everything fully explained in detail. Have you ever seen the inside of a working plane engine? Make sure to ask about the working cutaway of the plane's engine at work !
Living history. There are not only planes-Army, Navy, WWI, WWII, but they fly a lot of them in airshows too. The docents are personable and amazingly knowledgeable. If you like airplanes or history you will NOT be disappointed by a trip, or even membership to this museum.
This is an amazing museum. The staff and volunteers are awesome - friendly and very knowledgeable. Important history lives on in this museum. Definitely worth the trip. Not a lot for very young children - you can look but not touch, seems better suited to 10 and above.
This place is amazing! They have phenomenal volunteers (who are great with kids!). There’s also several simulators too.
Great place to visit and see all the different planes. One of the best things about this place is that almost all of there planes are in flying condition and they often hold air shows displaying there collection in action! Staff is also very knowledgeable and some of which who actually few the aircrafts back in the day
Tour guides were great, and added wonderful stories to the planes!
Lots of very cool planes, and other military equipment. Very friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. 80% of planes still fly.
Great place with lots to see and learn. Give yourself plenty of time to take it all in.
Visited here and it was amazing! Must visit! A lot of history on aviation during WWI AND WWII. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and told us a lot about aviation during the time periods. Very reasonable prices for what you experience.
We visited here on a rainy day and had a great time especially considering that I don’t even like airplanes! The Tour included two hangers out back and was led by an extremely pleasant Vietnam era pilot. We spent about 3 hours then a quick stop at the Dinosaur Park out front. Excellent experience and many thanks to the owner of the museum: Mr. Gerald Yagen.
Go here - you won't regret it
Great educational museum. Family family
A fun place to check out some old war-fighter planes. The place offers only a light amount of artifacts to check out, but the content itself is pretty neat. They have guided tours of the hangars which offer more content and the access fee is 15 bucks for non-military and 12 bucks for military. (Young kids are free) The staff and guides are awesome and overall definitely worth the trip.
Absolutely fantastic museum. Mark N. and Brian were full of stories about the planes and their history. There were so many volunteers and everyone is attentive and knowledgeable. Opportunities to see and hear some of the planes take off. Inside spot to cool off with a vending machine and drink options in the gift shop. There's a free dinosaur park at the entrance to walk around, too. Plenty of parking spots. Overall a fantastic experience!
Awesome trip. If you love WW1 and 2 era aircraft, this place is the place to be. Lars, I think that was his name, is a great tour guide. Prior Naval Aviator with great stories. A bit soft spoken, or maybe I'm just deaf, but the man is loaded with incredible amounts of history. The museum and its other hangars are loaded with magnificent aircraft. Some of the aircraft still actually do fly, which is cool. There are a couple of simulators in the main building that are fun to mess with.
