They have a nice walk through path that gives the history of the Olympics and natural science of the snow, etc. Upstairs has a beautiful display of the items used during the 2002 Olympics games and ceremonies. I wish that the had the virtual games ready to try, but we were there both too early in the day and the season.

Jonathan Dick

Cool place... Free is nice

Dan Mendelsohn

Fun free museum with good information about skiing in utah and the 2002 Olympic games

Megan Boren

The museum by it's self is free and it has lots of fun interactive things to do. There is a ski jump simulator you do have to pay for and it is a lot of fun to watch but that is the only thing that costs money. They have a ton of old ski suits and boots and a hall of fame. Very informative!

NG G

Really interesting place with lots of exhibits and memorabilia.

Lowell Boggs

The museum is about skiing in general as well as Alf Engen. The museum has an excellent disney quality racing simulator ($5 per ride) - very enjoyable. The there is also a great skiing show where pros do stunts ($15). There is lots of items in the museum about the 2002 olympics

Laurent Chavey

very good service. friendly staff and excellent product, price. I rented a snowboard for 10 days and paid $45

Sam Porter

Awesome place to learn about the history of the olympics and skiing in general.

Julie Johnson

It was closed but area was gorgeous

alli stone

Always a treat to visit Alf Engen Museum. Awe inspring to view the memoribillia from past Olympics and Olympians.

Johnathon Kreider

It was alright, but very self-aggrandizing and repetitive. Also, you have to pay money to practice a ski jump virtually? Get real. The history was cool, but overall it was really a one-time visit, no need to return.

Justin Crowder

Rode the bobsled...wow! Exhilarating. The museum was very cool. The views are beautiful.

Lyndi Stoddard

So many cool things to see! We didn't go on any experiences but we loved being able to walk around and see the many many artifacts.

Natasha Robison

Really neat place! Fun to watch the jumps!

Jason Jones

Small musium that is part of the Olympic park reception area where tickets are sold. I wouldn't visit just to see the musium but it's a cool touch to the Olympic park experience.

Dustin Allen

Neat museum. Some interesting well set up displays. Also, it's FREE!

David Droge

Not super big and the couple cool activities (simulators) cost money - but not too bad.

Peggy Phung

I loved this place. It is very educational. You will learn more about the Winter Olympics after you visit.

erik c

Educational, it allows your child to engage in the history of ski. It has interactive video, reading passages of the timelime of ski and even has a ride to know what it feels like to ski! A view of the Olympic jumping? What a sight! Has a mini cafe too, you would never want to leave!

Ernesto Castellanos

Great place to visit and learn about the winter Olympics, great personal really friendly

Campbell Docherty

Great interactive museum located right next to the USA Ski teams training ground. Great free fun place to take kids.

Madison Custer

Free entrance! The exhibits were very interactive and well put together.

Amber Warner

Our guide was less knowledgeable than we had liked. But we learned some cool things while we were here

Quinn and Laura Crawford

About a 15 to 30 minute exhibit with some optional vitual rides ($5 for those ride) otherwise it is free museum. Gift shop prices were good.

Jeff Abbott

Great Ski Museum. And it is free!

Edie Van

Small but interesting ski & 2002 Olympics museum. Don't miss watching the ski jumpers in training. Lots of rides & adventure experiences.

Stephanie Sumulong

Hard to believe this is free! Lots of great exhibits and even fun virtual experiences like ski jumping (does have a cost). We even got to watch some water ski trial runs outside the center (there is a show at 1pm, is not free). I really liked the 2002 Olympics display!

Amy Greenway

Just outside the museum. Can't miss it. They've been jumping every time I've been there. You'll love it!

Daniel Call

This is a nice place to visit when spending time at Olympic Park

Amy Hemingway

Cool facility with stunning views

Roxy Beaudet

Nice, little, free museum with a great little cafe in it. The exhibits were interesting, whether you're a winter olympics fan or not. Plenty of parking available and the staff are very friendly.

Davey C

Enjoyable to watch and experience what they do. Fun times! Good spot to visit

Sylvia Taylor-Blue

Had fun on the off season.

Tucker Austin

Not a whole ton to look at.. a bunch of old ski suits and skis and other memorabilia. You’d have to be a die hard ski fan to really enjoy it. I suppose this is the Mecca of skiing but I don’t think many people would find this super interesting

Preston Williams

The activities they have available are great but the prices are a little steep. For the extreme zip line it's $30/person and the discovery kids adventure it's $22/person. Or you can purchase the all day pass for kids 5-12 it's $50 and for adults it's $80. Great views and they have some free activities to do as well but if you want to do any of the fun things they have available, be prepared to pay up

Wicked JAZOR

Was a cool experience. Go and visit

Scott Plamondon

Great place to bring the family from out of town. Must see tourist attraction.

HOLLY KERKES

This was a really well done little museum. Lots of great info about Olympic skiing and fun interactive bits.

Chris Ernst

Great place to visit while in Salt Lake area. Very friendly stuff. A great history of the winter Olympics in USA olimpic history. The great thing about it is that is still on an property that is still used by the US olimpic athletes for training. Not just another abandoned olimpic venue like is the case with so many olimpic places.

Jen Hodshon

A quick museum, but lots to do and fun! Loved the interactive exhibits

derek tate

Love seeing the ski and olympic history

David Burger

So cool! Definitely make some time and take a tour!

patrice sienko

Neat to see the Olympics training ground

John Reeves

Really cool place, if you're in Park City, go check this place out. Great history and tells the story of the Olympics in Utah.

Leander Obregon

Very interesting snow ski history of a sport I know little about. There were skiers practicing in July on the man made slope and the skiers performed flips into the swimming pool. I don't know how often this happens but it was fun to watch. Hard to believe the Olympics were held here as the area seems small without all of the snow.

Chelsea Gillespie

Free, it is pretty small. They do have some cool exhibits. I think you could pay for a tour, but I don't know why you would. I think it is worth checking out.

Mindy Kirkton

Nice interactive activities for the whole family. Mock ski jumping, a pinball game, D-box like experiences hangglide-skiing, downhill skiing and some others. It was the coolest to watch the athletes practice. Otherwise, unless you really love the history of skiing, the museum was bouring.

Steve Wright

Fun stuff, can't beat the free price of admission

Jonathan Jorgensen

Excellent to watch skiers practice for winter

Mike Nelson

Cool ski museum. A lot of interesting facts and decor.

Art Mowad

Great to visit with US Olympic athletes

Gentry Stephenson

Great museum! Had things for everyone of all ages. Had a really neat display of skiing outfits and skis throughout the ages, interactive displays for kids, and had a great movie about the olympics. Almost everything is free at the museum. My kids ages 7 months to 11 years old had an enjoyable time here. There is a bobsled for kids to climb into and snowboarding cutouts for kids to put their face in the hole so it looks like they are the ones snowboarding. It was a lot of fun as well as very educational.

Kevin Wolters

This Museum doesn't just highlight the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, but the history of skiing in Utah with tons of pictures and documentation on the key players that have contributed to much to the rich narrative of Utah skiing. There are two levels to this beautiful Museum and my favorite part was the display of the huge 2002 Olympics logo filled with all 350+ Olympic pins commemorated for the event. This is a self guided tour that is FREE! The pic is local stud & Silver Medalist, Joe Pack!

Craig Boorman, Jr.

Neat to see the artifacts here and spend some time together.

Jack Lee

I came during summer... To be honest, there's really nothing much happening here... A bunch of old tracks left around from post Olympics and a pool (I don't think much ppl would come all the way here to swim here). A museum displaying past athlete achievements and old equipments....... that said.. maybe things are more fun in winter? Shrug.

Marie Brie

You feel the presence of greatness when you look at all the achievements of everyone who shared their knowledge, skills and love for snow sports!!! Love this place!

Dustin Bartow

Staff/volunteers are great! The place to go for all things skiing and or Utah's place or contribution to skiing/winter Olympics. This is a must go to for any number of reasons, you really don't know Utah history or people who shape the industry we see today, until you have stop in this museum.

Robert Chandler

A great way to spend a few hours

Tiffany Moy

I am an absolute history nerd and this museum was so cool! We paid for the tour to see the equipment and things made for the Salt Lake City olympics and I learned so much. The tour guide was so nice and answered my thousands of questions. The museum was free and informative.

thecrazycolt1

Very informative museum. With free admittance it is absolutely worth checking out

Adam Winger

Fun for the whole family

Lawrence M Law

I'm a biker and I have a Suzuki SV650 that Jeni and I love to go biking on and make short day trips to places we want to see and visit. Well, we were in Park City, UT when we were headed into town when the Olympic Ski Park caught my eye and I had to stop and turn around since I'd missed the turn. We headed up the mountain and got to the Alf Engen Ski Museum just in time to see the Aerial Ski Jumpers performing and doing twists and turns and flips into the pool. It was really amazing. After their show ended we headed into the Museum to see an amazing array of memorabilia of the Winter Olympics 2002. It was Epic. Lots of interesting stuff there and just the right amount to visit and not take up too much time on a sunny, summery riding day. Now... off to Cafe' Zupas for lunch... YUM!!!

M Ward

This is a fun free museum in the gift shop at Olympic Park. It was cool to walk through and look at the different trends in ski fashion over the years and the ski hall of fame. I enjoyed this little museum and there is a team USA bobsled you can take photos in. Make sure to walk through if you are visiting the Olympic Park.

Vivienne Saunders

Great interactive learning.

Galina Vilkova

This place in Park City Olympic was awesome. I was there in September, and I was lucky to see freestyle skiers training jumps . There was rather big pool and several sky jumps of different heights. Right before each jump they start to pump huge amount of air from the bottom of the pool to provide safe landing for free style skier. We spent all our time watching this awesome spectacle and missed visiting hours of museum of Skies unfortunately, although we were standing not far from it. But it was worth it!

Shrijit Srinivasan

Located at Utah Olympic Park. Has a lot of exhibits with champions, medals sledges etc. Well maintained and with conveniences. Training area only for Coaches and sportsmen.

George Champ

Learn a little about a historic skier who did so much for the sport in Utah.

Ross Flemer

Cool museums but needed more time there

Charlene Eubank

Very interesting place on the 2002 Winter Olympics. Really enjoyed the show with the skiers Landing in the training pool. Nice to be able to be that close to the ski slopes and Downhill Racing and bobsledding tracks. Lots of activities.

Wendy Williams

Great pictures and fun things to see.

Karen Wright

I don't ski. If I did this museum would be a must see. There are displays showing the history of skiing and a wonderful display from the 2002 winter Olympics.

Patricia LaCoy

It was a wonderful time.

Kitty Birch

Nice place for out of town tours.

Chris Marshall

Not usually all into the museums and history of a sport. But it was amazing to learn about the history of skiing in Utah. The different interaction exhibits kept my A.D.D. at bay. They have a simulator there that is worth every penny to ride.

Hanapa'a Todd

Just relax and enjoy the show.

Ben Brimhall

This was a fun and informative place to visit. It took about 45 to go through all the exhibits. The museum is free. There are other activities outside in the Olympic Park which do cost money.

Serina S

Free admission. Clean restrooms on 2nd floor accessible by stairs or elevator. Fascinating Utah ski history and several interactive exhibits. Upstairs they have items from the 2002 Winter Olympics and lots of cool facts for each sport. I especially enjoyed seeing memorabilia from specific athletes and reading about their accomplishments. There's even a photo-op with an Olympic torch! Definitely worth a trip to visit.

Bryan DeGrange

End of summer weekday and still lots of stuff going on here. Lots of history in the museum. If you are in Park City be sure to stop.

shawn bachman

You have to come here. So many thing to see and learn. Awesome to check out all the exhibits then stand and watch the jumpers fly. So amazing how they land on the water. They pump air into the water to make the landing softer. Fun and educational.

Isaiah Douglas

Very cool to see the professionals do tricks here

Tiffany S

I'm sure this would have been so much better, but we got there and everything was closed as far as zipline, tubing, obstacle courses, and the drop tower. It was a bummer cuz we even called and asked. The museum is cool, kind of short. And they have a virtual ride you can do. My kids did that, but were bummed they couldn't do anything else like they planned. Maybe next time.

David Rebd

Activities here are super cool, like the bobsled, but super expensive. Museum is high quality....but it's still a ski museum at the end of the day. ;)

schjoeke S.

As having been a fanatic skier myself and adore snow and Winter season I thoroughly enjoyed this Museum in Park City, UT. So much to see, loads of interesting memorobilia - incl from the Winter Olympics 2002 of course - ski-outfits, stories, etc. Definitely a must-visit, plus admission is free of charge!

Martin. Wilkins.

Nothing here to see. Waste of time.

Darryl Coppenhaver

The site of the winter Olympic games in Utah, the museum is a small collection of winter games history and memorabilia.

Patrick Schommer

Stopped by on a random Wednesday and wasn’t disappointed. There were ski jumpers flipping themselves into a pool of water (July) but still plenty to do for us visitors. I braved the bobsled run on wheels (very jarring but thrillingly fast), and we hiked a bit on the hills. The museum is very small but nice enough to walk through (free).

Joe Donaldson

Fascinating place to visit and has a ton of cool stuff from the '02 Olympics. As someone not from Utah and not being here during the games, it's cool to see everything. There's plenty of interactive exhibits and definitely worth checking out if you're in Park City.

Rodica Luca

Very nice place to visit, but they have to organize their ticketing system big, big time! They are charging 13 up, adult price, but when you are going in some courses, if your kid is not in a specific weight/ height requirements, they have access just to the kids activities/ zipline. In my opinion, you charge my kid an adult price, treat him/her as an adult, if not, consider them kids in all aspects. My other kid, because of the weight requirements he was able to go to the big zipline, but because he was alone, he got pushed away vs a big group of eight people, by the employees telling him (after he went to the top and waiting in line ), that he needed a reservation which wasn't true according to a manager, (I guess), who tried to straight things out offering us a voucher to use next day, for the inconvenience and complaining. So, when you pay, make sure what you're getting because even if is listed under your pass type, your kid won't be able to enjoy, and he/she being left very disappointed compared to the expectations. My kids are 13 in a month, and 14 years old. It happened that my 13 is 100lb and 14y -75lb. So, one is not meeting the age requirement and the other, the weight requirements, which I'm ok with that; but don't tell me that they can't ride when the flier you give me says that you have to weigh more than 50 lb, until you charge me full price, and after that, verbally you change the requirements.

Gino Flaim

Practice long jumps by doing loops and landing in water that is softened by bubbles.

Jorge Inga R

I wanted to visit the place where the Winter games were hosted in 2002. My experience there was incredible. I saw people practicing in the pool, as well others watching it. It was a show worth recording but unfortunately didn't have enough space in my phone. Despite of that, I loved it!

Ben Thornton

Great little simple museum. Nothing Grand, but free!

Scott Smith

Good time.

Erin Gilliam

Such a fun place to stay or come for the day. The staff is so nice & helpful!

Leila Jace

Tear-jerking success stories are my favorite.

Logan Spear

Neat museum paying homage to the sport of skiing. Small but just enough to get a good feel of the snow sports.

Dale DeHart

Great training venue for free-style skiers.

Bryce Byers

Lots of great information and fun games to entertain the kids. Spend as long as you like. It's free to the public.

Scott Carpenter

Definitely worth the visit while in Park City. Super friendly staff. The 2002 Olympic museum is very neat.

Eric Holbrook

Great museum and place to visit

garrett bolton

I had never been to park City or the Olympic park, but we stopped by for a few minutes to go see what all the fuss is about. I loved how they incorporated topographic maps and hands on history. We were tempted to do some of the activities such as the tube slide but opted out. Maybe next time!

Grace Lameyer

A beautiful reminder of what Alpine sports give to the world.. and a fun way to spend an hour of free time.

eric caldwell

Good museum for kids. Has some interactive snow displays and games

Aldrin Albano

Never heard of Alf Engen's skiing greatness until visiting the very museum in his name. I must say U.S. skiing owes its legendary start from his efforts. Worth visiting when you are in Salt Lake City.

Robert Alvarez

Good time learning some history.. Stopped in twice once to go through the museum, and really look around before committing to the outdoor activities. The museum was neat and we snapped some good photos of past medal, gear and some backdrops. On our second visit we did the outdoor activities, zipline, drop tower, extreme zip and obstacle course. Lots of kids during the morning house so there were some long wait time. Good experience but I say it's a 1 and done if you are an adult. Kids would love the multiple visit experience

Kristina Hazen

Really cool place. That water looked so inviting on a hot day. The kids/people on skis practicing their jumps into the pool were mostly hilarious and sometimes pretty impressive. Could have watched them all day, but had to pull ourselves away to check out the rest of the Olympic Village.

Sanders Nye

A good amount of ski history related to ski jumping in the Park City area as well as anything related to the salt lake Olympics.

Jeff Barratt

We enjoyed the museum so I would recommend the visit. Our favorite part was walking down to the ski jumping to see where the Olympics were held in 2002 and standing at the bottom of the hill. Worth the walk down the hill. Be warned it is quite a bit of a walk back up the hill!

Doug Campbell

Excellent ski history. Well worth your time.

ParkCity GUIDE

A MUST while in Park City. If you’re any sort of winter sport Olympic aficionado this is where the spirit lives! Don’t miss it.

David Foreman

Great displays. Well presented. Showed a side of the Olympics not seen before. Worth the time to see it.

Brett Harrison

Really cool to see and learn the history behind skiing. Nice facility.

Jeff Olsen

Great way to spend an afternoon

Daniel Walsh

What a wonderful museum! Gives you the history of American skiing in a fun and interactive way. Free for the basic tour but there are many more options above that which provide tremendous fun, value, and adventure. If you are in the Park City area, you must visit this place!

Israel Padilla

Interesting information aboit sky resort formation on utha

Kevin Trochelman

Great tour and Olympic hopefuls were Training in on the ski jumps into the pool. Hope Park City gets the bid for 2030 Winter Olympics.

Max Edwards

I'm flight crew. Great views. Expensive rides. Beautiful area!

Mark Jaeger

Some unique features, but hardly inspiring

Mary Kay Weidner

Worth a quick stop to see Olympic paraphernalia.

Jeni Hadden

Not really happy... Paid full price for five gold passes just to find out the slide was closed. Had a great time on the rides that were open but the side is our second favorite.

Brandon Scott

We had a few hours to burn and a friend recommended the museum, I'm not normally a museum type but this was excellent. A month and a half later, my 3 year old is still talking about all the neat things she saw and did here. Really great place to Kindle that Olympic spirit. Lots to read and look at and participate in. Plus, the ski jumpers were flying that day and we loved watching that. Really great experience.

Karthikeyan Baskaran

Good place showcasing the heritage of Utah ski culture and Olympic memories

Christine ockey

So fun and free! They have games that you can play and be more interactive for an extra cost but you can have a good time just going through the museum

Swati D. Doshi

Remember to wear your GoPro on the ski jump simulation!

CJ

What a neat place to go and learn the history of skiing ⛷ highly recommend if you’re a skier to go and visit. Tons of activities to do for the whole family.

shooters0000

Great tour and museum. Cost to bobsled was a little too much to try.

Muzhgan Hasanzade

If you wanna learn history of skiing you must go to Alf Engen Ski Museum! Museum is free for everyone! And there are two floors! First floor is Alf Engen museum, the second one is 2002 Olympic games! You will face Ski Experience and Ski Jumping simulators when you walk on the first floor! You should try them! It costs only $5 per person. If you do more rides it gets even cheaper! I had so much fun there! I never ski, but this is great experience to get an idea how skiing looks like! Love that place!

Kelti Baker

Clean, well kept. Great exhibits. We wanted to take the tour but they were full. I would suggest calling ahead if you want to take the tour.
