You must have seen that it has an average rating is very positive, and it is based on a very large number of reviews, so we may conclude that the valuation is quite credible. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they are satisfied with the business, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to put opinions when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Museum corresponds to the category of Museum.
When it's 110° outside this is the perfect spot to bring kids and stay cool! They will love all the displays and great learning experience too. We also love the hand on room!
Great exibit
EXCELLENT.
This was a great little place to stop at. They have one fairly big display room with hundreds of display animals to see. I recommend you take the "guided tour". It's basically a giant remote you carry around with you, and when you come across a display you want to learn more about, you type the corrisponding numbers and a little recording plays to tell you about the animals you're looking at. It makes walking through much more interesting and fun. Overall, fantastic museum that was educational and entertaining.
Awesome Place Touch With nature
We visited this place while in town. It was a large room with a ton of stuffed animals in poses. They have it broken out into sections of the world, but by the time I got to the 2nd level, I felt like it was all the same by this point. My son was bored by the time we got to the top level as well (he's 5). They also have a couple separate rooms on the main floor for learning opportunities, a room with bugs on pins, and a room dedicated to a hunter's trophy and the people who have won. I don't know that it's worth the price being charged. For me, the "coolness factor" wore off quickly. This was definitely a one and done visit...I don't really see a reason to go back.
Less of a museum, more of a large big game trophy room. Why not.
While this museum doesn't have a huge number of animals what they have and the way they are displayed is well worth the $6 to visit. Make sure you ask for the website so you can get the description of what you're seeing and the additional stories he shares. It really makes the experience even better and its free. Plan on about an hour.
The animals were kind of cool to look at but not worth the price. It is 2 floors full of taxidermy animals, most of them mammals with horns or antlers. They are kind of organized by region but it's a little disjointed - you start in Africa then go to a large North America section, then a small Europe & Asia section, then more North America and more Africa. There is a soundtrack playing of all kinds of animal noises but it doesn't match the section you're looking at, it's just a random mix of all the animal sounds throughout the building. My kids were pretty interested in the bears and the giraffe but that's about it.
Warehouse of stuffed hunting trophies. Might be interesting if that's your thing. Fairly boring presentation, not much education or information.
At first glance this place is amazing, the animals are really awesome... the staff however is lacking knowledge about the museum. The staff told us to watch the video at the end so we started it and we were horrified to watch this and see all the trophies of dead animals! We had no idea all these animals were killed for this museum. Why would they show a video of animals being murdered to children. The staff should have said, “skip that part because it’s graphic for kids” I will NEVER return or support this place again. I don’t want to spend my money or time stroking this mans ego but being a “BIG GUY” and killing innocent animals.
The kids liked how the animals looked realistic and the action scenes. They also liked the butterfly exhibit.
My son loves to visit this place. It's good for a close to home family outing.
It's a nice place to see the world with out going vary far
Well presented dioramas of many mammals from around the world. The hand held voice guide made the walk informative. Without out it, would be very doring.
Really neat. I had a good time
Very fun place to visit
Fascinating display. Very educational. Learned tons about the wildlife.
Very large exhibit but over priced and boring for little kids
Had a wide variety of stuffed animals and bugs on display. The price was a little high for what you get for a family of 5.
Great place
Love the setup of this museum. You get a wand and type in the number of each exhibit to listen to history and facts about the animals you see in each exhibit. Great use of space and beautiful setup!
I don't know if everyone that goes in gets the hand held gadgets that give information as you wander thru but that was useful. I learned and saw a lot. The devices can be heard easily, one per person. Lady staff member was nice.
Interesting.
I went with my 2 year old and she really liked it. The dark thunderstorm (the lights go dark for a few minutes) scared her half to death, so we waited by the main lobby until it was over. It was a bummer that they do that, I'm sure she isn't the only child that doesn't like the dark in a room full of realistic looking animals :) It was cool all-in-all, it was a bit small and a touch too pricey in my opinion, but it's what I would expect in St George. The girls working there acted like they didn't want to be there. They weren't rude, but they weren't friendly either. They acted like we were a nuisance for wanting to visit the museum. Afterwards, we looked in the gift shop which is a good size... you'd think we were robbers because the girls stared a hole through me like they were scared I was going to break everything and run haha. I just like looking at the stuff and bought some toys for my toddler and was reminding myself to come back and buy some stuff closer to Christmas. I want to go back since my daughter liked it, but the young women working there were so icy... I don't feel welcome there.
This was a fun adventure. We got to see animals from all over the world and learn about them. There were even some animals we had never seen before. Great place to take your kids for the afternoon.
Took my daughter. $8 for adults I think? The place is WAY over crowded with taxidermy animals. You won't know where to look. Overall it was fun and I'm glad I went. They have a small room for kids to play in and touch taxidermy, so that was a plus.
Wonderful
Kids loved the binoculars
Beautiful exhibit. So many stuffed wildlife animals( ober 400) from all around the world, perfectly placed.
Such a Fun experience at a low cost! our little girl loved it.
Lots of cool wildlife, nice setting, but a bit much- kind of overwhelming.
Great place. My three year old loved it.
Great place to help kids understand world animal diversity. On a hot day, its a great cool place to walk amongst the animals, faithfully posed in settings like their native habitat. The butterfly and bug collection is very nice. Kids hands on safari room is a good learning place as well. The exhibit and movie about game hunting responsibly, ecologically balanced was nice. Learned a lot here.
So many animals all in one place. They havr the cool radio things you put up to your ear to listen to the audio for the different sections of the museum. I would have preferred a live tour but either way it was super cool! I recommend it.
It was alot of fun. Also there weren't a ton of people there.
I recommend a visit.
Good
Nice Museum
A lot of exotic animals. A little expensive for what you get though.
A unique place to see a wide variety of the wildlife of the world. The breath of diversity is amazing. I would like to see that that plants and backgournds be updated to provide more realism. The white posts and fluorescent lights definitely ruin pictures. I was disappointed that the Weatherby Award Winners section was not up to date.
Super nice museum
Had an awesome time with the family
This is a must see museum. They have fantastic animal displays. You won't be disappointed.
So interesting!
An interesting museum with preserved animals in life position by taxidermy techniques.
This was a fun place to visit with my kids. The animal exhibits are very impressive. They have a very large variety and it is arranged nicely. For that I give it a five-star review. I was originally going to give it only for stars because of the employee that assisted us. She was not friendly and was not forthcoming with helpful information. It was a disappointing start to the visit but the exhibit was very impressive so I'm going back to a five-star review.
Great my 2 year old loved it. There is even a room for little ones to get the wiggles out
This great for families with kids or as a date for adults. There are a large variety of animals and a good bit of information.
This is the most amazing wild life museum I have ever experienced. I felt like I was on safari, all that's needed to complete the experience is a jeep. I wished we had the grandkids with us.
I love this place its a great place for kids and even adults there are 100s of animals to see
So cool! First time there and I loved it. Definitely recommend getting the recording/information device to hear about each of animals. Highly recommend!
This is a great museum to take your family, especially for young kids who are fascinated by animals! My daughter loved it and we will be back often! Recommen you go here if you have not.
I thought the price was very resonable, I know people who spend colse to that much on coffee. The rareness of some of these animals is worth the stop alone. A must see if you're in St. George! The free audio for the tour is a great touch. Will do it again!
Beyond the awesome selection of animals, I really enjoyed the education about hunting and natural habitats.
Very educational...
Absolutely amazing
If you're visiting, you have children or if you're a local resident this is a must visit venue. It's easily accessible, wheelchair accessible, kid and staff friendly, plan to spend about two hours. It also has an affordable gift shop.
I loved it! There are so many different animals with such amazing poses! I can't wait to come back again with my friends!
Loved this place. Way better than expected. Would come back
Fun for the kids. Quite a few different animal Species and a kid play area. Fun place to spend some time looking around. I think it was $8 for anyone over the age of 2. They accept the Dixie direct card too. Fun place to visit every so often. The gift shop has quite a few little Knick knacks.
Large variety of animals displayed in an attempt to mimic their natural environment. Falls short of looking natural but their are a lot of stuffed animals here. Would be a bit pricey for the whole family but is a good activity for days when it is too hot for outdoor activities.
Anyone having an issue with the need to have this type of museum should be mounted and displayed, (Butts) The stories behind the mountings are amazing. Take your children and spend time with them. Well worth the admission price.
Well worth spending an hour or two. I thought that seeing so many animals as stuffed exhibits would bother me but instead we learned how hunters and wildlife preservationists are working together to save many endangered animAls. This is an excellent way to see and admire the animals up close
We thought this place was aight.
It's a great museum, as long as you are aware-- it's stuffed animals. Very well done. Full size with terrain and in-depth information.
It was huge and had hundreds of dead stuffed animals.
Small museum, seems to be a large collection of hunting trophies. Quite a few sheep, bears and elk, with an assortment of others. Nice stop with my two young boys, they were given binoculars and my husband and I, each got tour radios to take in with us. First room was the typical Safari-look except for the goldfish pond. Then you either go to the large warehouse of exhibits set along a slow incline that winds up to a second story. Or you head to the specialized rooms: kids room, insects and Weatherby Award room.
My daughter and I enjoyed an afternoon learning about wildlife together
Make sure you get the radios to hear about the exhibits. Very cool and educational!
The place wasn't packed so we had the whole museum to ourselves. We probably spent about 3 hours there listening to the audio. It's crazy how the founder spent so much money, effort and time to get just one of the animals and how they pass through different checks at different countries.
They pack this place with animals! The amount of animals inside along with the quality of the taxidermy was a surprise. The staff was great, and he location was spotless. The entire place is kid friendly. Stop in and enjoy. You will certainly learn a few new things too.
While I enjoyed seeing the animals, and think the their presentation was pretty well done, the whole experience was also really weird to me. You need to be aware of a few things if you decide to pay money for this “museum.” - Trophy Collection: This is not a museum. It’s a famous exotic game hunter’s trophy collection. His family is merely trying to cash in on his trophy case. They try to pass this off as an educational experience, but the guided tour doesn’t work well, signage is poor, and there are no guides or staff present who know anything about the animals. The attempt to spin this trophy collection into an educational experience is meager at best. - Agenda: Be prepared to be bombarded by big game hunting propaganda. A lot of effort has been made to justify efforts of big game hunters who hunt merely for sport. If you have any issues with this, be prepared to be disgusted. (I’m not an anti-hunting sort of guy, but I felt a bit sick seeing this place). A whole section of the tour is dedicated to big game hunting awards. Again, this is a trophy collection pretending to be something that it isn’t. - Value: The 30 minute experience isn’t worth what they charge for it. If you have a Dixie Direct card, also be aware that they cheat on this. “Buy one admission, get one free” does not mean what you think it does at this place. They will give you the value of a child admission for each adult admission you purchase, but not a true BOGO, as is advertised. - Staff: the staff was not very friendly or helpful. What I saw were three people who were seemingly pretty burnt out with their jobs and lacking in expertise. I suggest you skip this one and spend your time in St. George on other stops. There are so many cool things to see and experience in and around this amazing city. The Rosenbruch is definitely not one of them. Take a trip to Provo and visit the Bean Museum if you like taxidermy.
Know what you're walking into. The wife is not a fan of taxidermy. I enjoy seeing all the different animals, but it is a bit much. Like one guy doing a reverse Noah's Ark.
Really awesome display of wildlife from all over the world. Deffinitly do the audio tour, great discussions of conservation.
This is a huge collection of preserved animals, which is cool to see, especially for kids. I wish there were better labels of animals (sometimes my kids would ask about one and we couldn't find the name) and more information about them. I think they might offer that type of info on the audio tour but my kids struggle to slow down and listen to that, so it would be nice to have some informational signs.
Took friends from out of town. They were amazed. My second time and I saw animals I didn’t notice the first time. The taxidermy is amazing and baffling as to how they did some of it. Takes around 45 minutes to go through - could easily spend more time. Love it. Thank you.
It was really cool display but it cost allot. When we went to the bean life science museum in provo it was free. And privately owned aswell so would not recoment this museum.
Amazing amount of animals...from African to Chinese to North America...stunning display. Amazing educated staff. WORTH GOING AGAIN.
The museum is really cool, but its too short for how much you pay ($8). If youre a major wildlife enthusiast there may be just enough content in the walkthrough to break even on the investment, but if you're just looking for a fun thing to do you may wanna rethink it.
Getting a little old looking. Some of the exhibits had seen better days.
Interesting place for information
. .....
I really loved this place and found it inspiring
Awesome place! My wife and i were visiting St george and thought we would check it out. Pretty amazing and informative place!
We love the animals and my son loves the little binoculars. The play room is very interactive and fun, they can even get close to animal displays in the play room. The displays are fascinating and the walkway is wide and paved, stroller friendly. My only complaint is that it's small, you can do the whole museum in 15 minutes.
Good
Impressive
Enormous selection of wildlife in a safe setting. Millions of dollars worth of trophy animals in this one location from nearly every part of the world.
Great place to take the kids. Locals half priced on wednesdays. Floor plan not straight forward so there is walking back and forth. Lots of awesome animals too look for as you wonder through.
Very informational and fun to walk through and learn about animals from all the continents. I have a preschooler and a kindergartener, and the museum only took them about 5 minutes to walk through. They do have a little hands on room that occupied them for about 10 minutes. I'd love to take them back when they are older and care about learning about the animals.
Loved this museum and shop. Tons of high quality products and great variety of gifts to choose from. Worth stopping in to check it out.
Great place for you kids or teens to check out the staff is very nice to each customer with a smile
They need a moose, a moose! My kids enjoy it. It's simple and nice....
Very neat place to visit!!
I truly love this place. Will come back if I have a chance. Price is very reasonable. The exhibits are BREATHE taking
Good place to take the family and see the animals and learn, too much to learn in one visit.
It's a little pricy for 2 people(16.99$) and not very long tour. I was a little disappointed to see other people using audio sticks on a tour but only at the end of seeing everything. The staff didn't let us know about the tour audio sticks. Little disappointing.
Little pricy but nice, lot of different animals from every continent.
The museum is incredible, especially for children.
Not worth the price.
Very cool look at animals of the world and their conservation.
Unbelievable exhibit.
We were surprised to find this neat place, unexpected.
So amazing, I love that you can see all these different animals from across the world that you may have never seen otherwise.
Decent museum.
Very interesting! Super large selection of taxidermy animals in a life like setting. My 8 year old loved it, had to drag him out....
Great place for a walk
I've gone there a few times now. I love just walking in and seeing the mounts and listening to all the sounds the museum plays of the animals. The handheld speaker they give you is very informative about the different animals and where they came from. I can't believe the work that they put into building scenery to portray where the animals are from. It is breath taking! I talked to a guy who helped set this up and he said they left some of the animals out. I wish they would expand on it to make it longer. It is truly amazing!
I liked the layout of the museum. There were definitely a lot of animals to see but we found ourselves at the end very quickly. There were a couple rooms that are being finished and I hope they include more than just animals but insects and other items to learn about. They were smart putting a small kids area but I would recommend them adding to it to make it a hit among the little ones. I am glad I took my family here overall and enjoyed our short visit.
Really neat place. Lots of information.
Kids love exhibit
Well laid out with a natural "flow" to the touring path. Fine taxidermy.
If you like taxidermy animals and a big game trophy room than go ahead. It's too expensive to just to walk around a big room...
A bit pricey for a small place. However, a military discount is offered. Variety of creatures on display, looks as though they are mostly males. The insect collection seemed to draw my attention more so than the rest. The museum does have a gift shop as well.
It was nothing more than propaganda for hunting and a way for a wealthy and politically connected man to show off his conquests. Static displays. No science. The audio recording, which plays from a little stick you carry around, provides very little insight into the displays, but does share propaganda about the "value" hunting adds to conservation efforts. My extremely inquisitive 13 year old was bored in the first five minutes. Not worth the time or money.
Interesting attraction. Tons of exotic animal mounts to look at. Staff was friendly...my only complaint is it smelled musty.
(Translated by Google) It's a good place (Original) Es un buen lugar
Definitely will see some species variations that are rare. Collection is the result of many hunting expeditions around the world.
Fun place to walk around
I really loved it. It's a great place to learn about a wide range of Animals. Staff where very Friendly and I like the Gift Shop.
My family has a condo in St. George, and the museum was always my favourite thing to do whenever I'd go and visit the area. The staff was always friendly, the museum has a great layout, and it felt like an adventure each time it was visited. The information that is available about the different species that are on display is interesting. This is a museum that can (and should) be enjoyed by children and adults alike. It really is an experience; I recommend it to anyone who finds themselves in St. George.
Go here expecting a trophy collection or art museum instead of a science museum. There is lots of taxidermy (art), but information about the animals and their habitat is often missing.
Pretty spectacular, the expressions and poses on the animals were very entertaining
