Nice bathrooms and picnic area. Did not go on the museum.

This is an awe-inspiring museum that transports you hundreds and thousands of years back into Native American past. The guide has a deep knowledge of the artifacts and explains with reverence and respect. It is not a large museum but it offers a lot.

Hidden little gem just south of Kanab, Utah. Looks like a rest area with just a small building but has a lot more Native American artifacts than you would ever expect. Also had an outdoor museum area of pioneer buildings. Highly recommend stopping here for at least an hour if possible.

Andre Finlinson

Amazing! HUGE collection of arrowheads, TONS of intact Anasazi pottery from 3 different design eras. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Must see if you're in the area.

Alyssa Young

Fun place to stop, the man working was very nice and knowledgeable about the artifacts

galina kalvatchev

Great place to shop and eat. Everyone is so friendly.

Cheryl Ricketts

This is a fantastic museum. The docent is knowledgeable and personable. He won’t crowd you, but if you express interest, he will share a wealth of information about both the artifacts, and the local area. If you enjoy a good back story, this is your place! I would rate it 10 stars....but there are only five!

Junette Mendoza

Dixon is very knowledgeable and very detailed about the antiquities. Well worth the stop!

Philip Cushman

David Burnside

Looks are deceiving from the outside. Dixon gave us an amazing tour. Without him vocalizing the history of the artifacts, it's just a building containing old stuff.

Joyce Cook

Great place well represented.

William VanderWerff

If you leave this area without visiting this museum you will have missed one of the best introductions to the cultures of it's ancient inhabitants. I am amazed that this museum isn't listed by Fredonia on it's web site as a must see attraction. You will be treated to a professional tour of outstanding displays of weapons, tools, clothing, pottery, arrow heads, blankets and historical artifacts. Our Guide was Dixon Spendlove the curator. His knowledge is astounding. Don't miss this!

Ulrich Jobs

Great experience. Dixon gave us an excellent tour. Wonderful stories. Don’t miss.

A collection of a must see History

Russ James

This small museum holds an awesome collection of arrowheads, pottery, and other artifacts mostly privately collected. Information provided makes it totally worth a stop. There is no fee, donations are accepted. Highly recommended.

Courtney Smith

What an amazing place! Lifetimes of gathered artifacts all about ancient Native American people. You'll get an incredible tour by the man who found most the artifacts himself. You would pay a lot of money to get this kind of tour anywhere else, and it's free! Just a quick jaunt down the road from Kanab and well worth the stop.

Chris Varela

First visit was excellent. The volunteer, Maryland, gave us a great tour and explained so many of the artifacts and the stories behind them. This is a must see if you're passing by, can easily spend 30 to 60 minutes walking the massive collection.

Robain Whipps

Great Place To See A Lot Of History

Trent L McCormick

This is truly an amazing place. This museum has an incredible amount of artifacts from the surrounding area which date back centuries. The tour guides are very knowledgeable about most, if not all, of the artifacts. It's a great way to learn about the indigenous people of the American southwest and how they survived in such a beautiful but harsh area. This makes a great stop on the way to the Grand Canyon or any of the Southern Utah national parks.

Nice little place cool tour

Lots to see and learn

Jenny Ricketts

Nice museum and rest area. We received a personal tour from the owner and he shared his personal artifact collection and stories. I can't express how much we enjoyed talking to him and hearing his stories.

Rick Bentley

The woman that gave us the tour was very knowledgeable and had a terrific sense of humor. Much better than I was expecting.

Laurie

Absolutely a must see! This is a fantastic little museum loaded with rare and incredible artifacts from the Anasazi, Fremont, and other cultures. Super friendly staff. Not well advertised so don't miss!! Donations accepted. I have been to numerous native culture museums and this is one of my very favorites!! 5 Stars all the way.

Jimmy Lawson

Lots of history and things that were left on the planes awesome collection of arrow head's here

Dixon gave us a personally guided tour of the museum and I learned more about Anasazi artifacts in an hour than I’ve learned from numerous books. At first glance, many might overlook the unique and exquisite pieces they have on display, but with a guided tour you will learn what everything is and how the tools were used, as well as dates the tools originate from and locations where the artifacts where found . This is absolutely one of the best small museums I’ve ever visited. It’s also a private museum that doesn’t charge an entree fee. They just ask for donations. Please be generous and receptive to an extraordinary opportunity. If you’re into Native American history and culture, this is a must see!
