You will be able to see the reviews of real people who used the services of Quarry Exhibit Hall (Museum) in Utah.
At the present the firm receives a score of 4.8 over 5 and that rating has been calculated on 774 reviews.
As you can see its rating is virtually the best, and it is based on a high number of feddbacks, so we can say that the evaluation is very credible. If many people have bothered to give their opinion when they are pleased, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to write opinions when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Museum belongs to the category of Natural history museum.
One of the coolest places I've ever been!
Great place to visit and see Dinosaur bones. It can be a bit if a drive. It's not animal friendly. Your kids will love it.
All we can say is WOW. What an awesome place. What history we still are talking about it.
The Quarry Exhibit Hall is an amazing facility that shelters one of the great fossil beds in the Western United States. I first visited the Quarry Exhibit Hall when I was a kid in 1977, and the wealth of dinosaur fossils embedded in this upturned ancient river bed was mind boggling. I just returned to the quarry as an adult last year and the site has lost none of its magic. Visiting the quarry provides the opportunity to see very large, well-preserved fossil specimens actually embedded in sedimentary rock. The western section of Dinosaur National Monument is easy to access and the park grounds around the quarry are also awe-inspiring. The quarry and visitor center are located very close to both Vernal Utah, where you can visit the Utah Field House of Natural History, and Flaming Gorge Dam. The scenery and the science are both incomparable. There is a lot of information about the Carnegie Dinosaur Quarry on the National Parks website, but in summary it is the location of a 150 million year old river bed. The river was a main water source for animals in the region at that time, and dinosaurs would drink at its banks. Sometimes they would also fight and die in the river vicinity. What makes the fossil bed remarkable is that the river was also prone to flash flooding. Flooding would drown live dinosaurs in the area and carry all of the carcasses downstream until they reached a pond, where the bodies sank in the mud and were eventually fossilized. Over millions of years the deposits in this interior pond included at least eleven different species of dinosaurs and many individual specimens. This site is as close to Jurassic Park as we'll ever get (thankfully!).
Not a dinosaur nut but seeing all the bones still entombed in the rocks was amazing. Mind blowing to understand and whole earth/dinosaur /human time line. Humans are just a spec of the earth's history. Recommend
Great place to visit
Amazing hands on experience for both kids and adults!!
We ended up here by accident on our way out west. Was an awesome experience. T rex right here in the US, insane. Great story behind the place. Check it out.
I always enjoy visiting the Wall of Bones.
Awesome way to interact with dinosaur fossils and history.
Amazing display. Easily accessible. Great for kids and adults. The hike back to the visitors' center from the exhibit is NOT worth it. There are many other things to do in the area as well.
This remains a fascinating site to vist. I have visited as a young boy many times. It continues to be a memorable visit now that I am older and planning on taking the grandkids! Your entrance fee to the Quarry also allows you to visit other areas along the road past the entrance station. Split Mountain Campsite area boast a popular rafting take out and take in site and the historic Josies cabin site further up the road.
Amazing display of fossils! My children enjoyed learning about how it was created and the fossils embedded in it.
Amazing. Took this road on a short detour on our way home. Would recommend to anyone in the area.
Super neat they have places you can actually touch the bones!! Everyone is so kind. Would recommend
The finest Parks and Recreation customer service I've ever experienced, and the attraction is a breathtaking wonder to behold.
The quarry wall is so full of actual dinosaur bones, open for viewing just as they were found in the rock, it is amazing! What a unique treat. Really, if you are interested in fossils and dino bones, this is a fascinating way to view them. This has become my all-time dinosaur exhibit, and I've been to a few! The comfy, air conditioned building to view them in and the shuttle from the parking lot to the quarry make this destination a breeze to visit with kids. There are lots of hiking trails, some petroglyphs, and a vehicle tour loop nearby if you want to do more while you are here.
We loved this place. Excellent exhibits. Staff well trained and enthusiastic. Lots of hiking trails. Would like to come back and camp here. Want to explore more of pictograph sites. Good gift shop.
Fantastic visit! I might be bias because I love dinosaurs but the exhibit is amazing. The wall where the bones are have so many different fossils of Allosaurs, Diplodicuses, and Camarasaurs. Some of the skeletons were basically full and intact and a lot of the great ones were bagged up and taken to the Smithsonian and other museums around the country. The exhibit itself has a clear view of the wall on the first and second floor. The exhibit IS the wall of fossils. They also have plenty of interactive consoles to learn about the fossils themselves and who they belong to. They show the process they used to get the fossils out and some old ways they separated rock from bone. They have plenty of real and model dinosaur fossils they show off. A must see in your lifetime!
I could not believe this place. So cool.
The exhibit hall is such a unique experience. The tool marks are still in the rock. The nice thing is that it is a fairly quick experience so it can be fun for the kids to have a glance and then those that love to read/explore all the exhibits can do so without feeling rushed. There is a lot of different opportunities to explore at Dinosaur National Monument but if time is limited the quarry makes for a great flavor of Vernal historical excitement.
Excellent place for viewing dinosaur bones of all sizes. There are numerous displays showing different kinds of fossils there. Shuttle services are used during the summer months to take visitors there. A ranger also is these to answer questions and do tours.
Great buffet!
Dinosaurs once roamed here.
Air conditioned! The guided trail walk was nice.
A very well presented exhibit. Lots of interesting facts and easy to get around as a self guided attraction
This was really cool to see bones up close! There was even sections inside and out where you could touch the bones. It was really interesting to have a forest hand seat to these amazing creatures.
You will return in jurassic era.
Beautiful place, it will leave you in awe
An experience everyone should have. Amazing how much our lives change over millions of years.
Awesome place to visit for all ages. You can spend 5 minutes or a couple hours here even though it's not huge because it's so unique and fascinating. They also have guided dinosaur bone nature walks starting here if you'd like to do that. I don't know if anywhere else that lets you touch real full size dinosaur fossils.
My son was in heaven when he saw all the dinosaurs. They had alot of activities to keep the kids occupied (scavenger hunt book, pins, dinosaur bone wall they could touch) my favorite was the short trail just below The Quarry.
Awesome place with displays you will NEVER forget. Take the kids too, they wont forget what they saw here either.
This it a really neat place, not a whole around here so come prepared. Nice restrooms and water. Well done exhibit. You can actually touch the dinosaur bones! If you hike up it's pretty easy but it will probably be really hot in the summer time. Really nice view of the country side as well.
Amazing, fun activities for children.
Interesting site with great Rangers to explain the fossils. Beautiful scenery. Saw 4 Sandhill cranes in bare corn field as we left the site. This is a must see location on any US 40 journey.
Tons of dinosaur bones and a beautiful landscape
Absolutely worth the entrance fee by itself. The exhibit was astounding, I could sit for an hour staring at the rock face.
No words accurately describe this site. You'll never see another preserved collection like this anywhere in the vicinity, let alone the Western U.S.
I asked the guide if this was real, or if it was Disney? It is the real deal. Fossils carefully excavated and revealed in a real wall, and the building was built around that. The exhibits tell you why there are so many fossils in such a concentrated area. Something about a flood zone. On the way in and out, look at all the oil production. Connect the dots to all the dinosaurs, fossils, and liquid dinosaurs.
Just wow. The rest family and I were amazed by the dinosaurs.
It was awesome. I learned a lot.
Amazing place! A must see by anyone interested in geology!!
It was awesome. Really spectacular especially for dino enthusiasts
We tried to count how many bones we could see. My 5-year old nephew says there are more than one hundred and four and zero and six, which must be a lot!
If you go to the park, make sure you take the trolly to this exhibit. Do not miss it. You can walk back if you want from the visitor center, it's downhill. The exhibit is an a risk dig site that had so many bones the built a building around it.
Absolutely display of dinosaur bones in situ under one roof. Very beautiful display with lots of side displays consisting of real and recreated fossilized bone displays. If you have kids or not and you agree in the area you should take the time (usual average time spent 30 minutes) to check this out. Cost is about same as breakfast for two.
Unbelievable how well preserved the fossils are. And to know they roamed or Earth way before or time. I'm in awe
Too incredible to seem real. If they had a wall of dinosaur fossils like this anywhere else it'd be assumed to be fake. It's probably only a half hour to 45 minute walk through exhibit, but if you've ever been fascinated by dinosaurs, it's a must-visit.
Amazing. Touch real dinosaur bones.
Lots of great hiking trails and fun exhibits. Next time we'd like to stay longer and make a camping trip out of the park! Cool place.
Awesome exhibit!
Really cool place especially if your kids are into dinosaurs
Seeing the dinosaur bones and listening to the park ranger, with all her knowledge, was amazing. We hiked the trail there , and walked the road back. Awe inspiring trip.
What an awesome way to experience paleontology!
The fact that you can see real fossils up close is pretty amazing. I wish this facility was listed as the one to visit, rather than the little tiny room in Colorado. It's confusing and we had to backtrack 25 minutes to get to the right spot.
This place was amazing. There are hundreds of bones visible. There is an upper level that allows visitors to see all the fossils. The Rangers are very knoledgeable and happy to explain the history and geology. There are also trails to walk close by as well. The views around the Quarry hall are amazing. You can easily see the main visitor's center and Quarry Exhibit Hall in the Utah side within an hour or two. Plan a day if you intend to explore all the National Monument has to offer including the scenic Colorado side.
Just like I was a kid again. Fun for kids to a point, smaller ones get board quickly.
This place is awesome.
Never seen anything like it. Accessible physically, and also meets your knowledge on all levels :) has to be seen to be believed. And you can touch a fossil dino!
Can touch dinosaur bones and find them on the wall. Beautiful views. Rangers are very informed about dinosaurs. Friendly and helpful.
Super cool and informative. A must see if on the Utah side.
Definitely worth taking the time to stop at the Dinosaur National Monument!
Neat place for all ages
Cool fossils, awesome rangers full of insight and stories.
So much more than what we expected. Very cool.
A really amazing experience. If you are going to Dinosaur National park, you must stop here. Any kid who is into dinosaurs will love it. Tons of easily recognizable fossils in the rock to see. A shuttle from the visitor center will take you there and back, or you can walk down, which is also quite nice. You want to see your tax dollars at work? Here you go. Well worth it.
going to Utah, this is worth. the side trip to see. A glimpse back in time.
great experience for kids and myself, amazong concentration of donosaure fossils and exbthition, don't miss the exploration trail 1 mile long but also informative with lot to explore. bring water and hat for the hike.
Where do fossils come from? Come see.
Fascinating and the rangers are awesome!
This is not your boring study museum. A must see.
What an incredible sight! This is really something to behold. This is a must visit location for anybody interested in dinosaurs or the history of Earth! Go visit!!
So many cool dinosaur fossils, all in one place, and they even made improvements since I last visited.
Remarkable so much history can be found in one location.
Fun place to learn and site see
Really cool experience for young and old. Ranger on duty was friendly and fun. My son enjoyed earning his junior ranger badge.
The rangers were informative. Tons of fossils. It was great to see fossils still in the rock where they were found while in the comfort of AC. They request a dollar donation to get the guidebook, so make sure you have a dollar and not just a twenty.
It's fascinating that they kept all the bones together on this wall rather than taking them put of the ground and dispersing them to museums across rhe globe. You can take the shuttle up the 0.6 mile up to the exhibit. They run every 15 minutes.
Oh my gosh!! It was one of the best things I've done all summer! I enjoyed my time there. I considered myself lucky as I was visiting a fried who lives in the area. So she knew a lot of information, knew how to get there. It was so very cool to see such history in one place.
It was wonderful The staff are very nice and accommodating. As I said in my review already, we need to support our parks so our kids can continue to enjoy them
So much fun
Lots of gun things to see and do for adults and kids. It's awesome!!!
A wonderful exhibit preserved for many of us to enjoy. I took my children here some 30 years ago and it was really nice then. It was interesting to learn that the old building had become damaged and had to be rebuilt with seismic support to keep the new building safe for all to enjoy the exhibit. The ranger at the quarry was very knowledgeable and one could tell she very much enjoys her work. It's hard to call it work when you enjoy it that much. She gives online classes to school groups from all over the world. She said it keeps her on her toes and she constantly studies to be able to answer the many questions that young inquiring minds think of and ask.
Extremely interesting and wonderfully presented.
Awesome place to visit. Never disappointed!
This place is amazing! The dinosaurs are awesome! I have been there four times and still will go again. A must see!
Nice place to visit. We came in February and had the place to ourselves.
This was amazing, my family loved it. You can touch the actual bones, they had several real bones in great shape that had been removed from the ground here on display, and the history is fascinating! I would definitely come back again! Strongly recommend coming here if you have kids, mine was in awe the whole time :-)
Great place to visit. Building is climate controlled and staff is eager to answer questions. Kids will love being able to touch the fossils.
Amazing to see all the different dinosaur bones.
Dinosaurs are so cool. Loved dinosaurs since I was a kid. This Quarry is a real experience.
Amazing! Unbelievable until you see it in person.
Actual dig with one wall full of embedded dinosaur bones. Some large dinosaur bones you can touch. Guided tours through the park.
This place is incredible!! It has a whole wall of dinosaur bones and you can touch some of them! They built the building around the excavation site because there were so many there. They also have some very interesting facts about the facility and very cool pictures as well. The scenic drive is beautiful but seeing this was the icing on the cake!!
The quarry is unreal, could've stayed there for a very long time just looking at all the bones. If you're interested in that kind of thing it's amazing
Fun for the whole family.
Spectacular! Liked it a lot, but this place is beaten by Drumheller.
Cool stop. Very informative and well laid out
Amazing to see, must stop!
Awesome! Bones & fossil viewing in the rock as found.
Beautiful, and very well cared for. We will definitely return on our next visit!
It was worth seeing really cool
1500 dinosaur bones that are 149 million years old are here for your viewing pleasure. Don't miss it. Special place, special story!
Dinosaur National Monument (Park?) is a long ways away, but it is cool! It's a little remote, but the fossils are amazing. Hard to believe there are so many that are so well preserved. The Park Rangers were amazing and offer a neat Junior Ranger program for younger kids. They get a wooden badge and everything. My 6 year old felt so important! It was great!
My kid loved this place. He really enjoyed seeing where the bones are and seeing the exhibits on how they got them out of the ground. The hall really is an amazing site. There are still many bones in place to see. It's amazing to think about how.many were there when it was first discovered. Great place to visit.
One of a kind experience! Cost for 2019 is $25 per car for a 7 day pass.
Not to be missed. Fabulous interactive displays and touch real bones on the wall.
Actual dinosaur bones and fossils. Very cool
This place blew my mind. My inner (and outer) 8 year old didn't want to leave.
Great learning experience. Our kids, oldest five years old, moved through a lot faster than we expected. But then we did the hike, so it worked out.
It's very well done if you're going this way it's worth it to stop and look at it
As soon as we walked in we were in awe at the amount and size of fossils in this one location. Such an amazing experience to see this part if history. Young or old you will love this place.
I visited here when I was probably 10 years old and now that I'm 30 it's still amazing. My kids also thought it was super fun to see the dinosaurs. We look at the monument, ate our picnic lunch, and went for a little hike. All in all a great family activity.
This thing is unbelievable. Definitely worth a visit.
Really a unique and special exhibit and park. Likely one of a kind.
There are not many places you can touch actual dinosaur bones
Very educational and interactive. Seems great for kids! (And adults too!)
Amazing place to see where dinosaur bones were recovered! Great way for kids to engage: indoors with AC and junior ranger programs.
Absolutely stunning wall of large Jurassic fossils
Stunning trip back in time to the Dinosaur era. Very well done
We are so glad we took the kids here,we all enjoyed & learned a lot of dinosaur history. We had a great time!
Really cool to actually see and touch dinosaur bones. Very informative, park rangers knowledgeable. Beautiful drive with signs to explain geological features.
This is the most fascinating exhibit I have EVER visited. . .bar none. The incredible scramble of bones from disarticulated dinosaurs of many species, and the nearly complete, still articulated skeletons of others found in close association is mind-altering to see in the natural matrix of the fossils.
Wow! Just Wow! It is so amazing to be up close and able to to touch fossils. We were all amazed by the incredible wall of fossilized dinosaur bones and the detailed information about the outstanding finds from the site that are now all over the world. I would recommend taking the Fossil Discovery Trail hike. Beautiful views and many more sights, including some petroglyphs.
Fascinating. Recommend the trip. Recommend taking the trolly to the quarry them walk back. Watch for the petroglyphs on the trail.
Amazing story told in fossils!
It's very interesting to see the fossils still in the rock wall. That's the only indoor activity to do and depend on how long you think you can stare at such a thing depends on whether it's worth it to you personally, it was a once in a life time experience and I'm glad I did it. Where this place really shines is be leaving the exhibit hall and following the trails. The trails are 5 stars
It is always nice to come to the Quarry Exhibit Hall. I have brought many people here who have never seen it but always wanted to. I like going to the monument and walking on the surrounding trails. There are rangers to answer any questions that you may have as well.
This place was truly amazing! A must see for children or adults! You can touch and see actual dinosaur bones.
The update and interactive fossil locater is really impressive! It's one thing to see this massive wall of fossils, but to be able to use the system to identify the various bones and species is amazing! Don't rush!
Really cool place!
Great place to see how paleontologists actually work. You can touch the real dinosaur bones as they lay.
Learned so much about what's in the quarry as well as spotting fossils. Thought that finding them on our own was easier after studying the display. More visits in the future planned to do more trails and to review.
Dino-mite! This place is awesome. Very educational, good hours, and the shuttle to the quarry runs frequently. I can't wait to come back!
With a wall of hundreds of dinosaur bones, and some you can even touch, The Quarry is a fun, and educational adventure. Learning about the Earth and it's inhabitants is tons of fun for any age. The surrounding landscape really sets the stage for being tossed back into prehistoric times.
Amazing! Has my family studying fossils and dinosaurs and everything involved together and going out and learning together. It's been amazing
Interesting to visit once if you're in the area, but not enough to see or do there to go again.
My kids loved everything here, they asked the rangers lots of questions and the rangers answered them as best they could and we're really nice. Getting to touch actual fossils that are still in the stone was cool too
A once in a lifetime experience. Good for all ages. Touch real dinosaur bones!
This place is really cool if you like dinosaurs or have little ones with you, you can actually touch the real bones and the views of the surrounding area are beautiful, you have to go through the west entrance in Utah to get to the quarry
Very information with good replicas. Worth several trips! I learn something new every time I drop by.
Had a great time with family
Very unique experience, and up close look at a very distant past.
So much fun and educational. Great for adults and kids
Very interesting place. Enjoyed the drive up, and the scenery on the tram ride to the quarry - awesome! Reminded me of a book from my childhood, "The Shy Stegosaurus of Cricket Creek." Will definitely be going back.
Excellent facility and wonderful experience seeing real dino bones.
Was awesome seeing all the dinosaur bones! The staff was very friendly and well informed! My whole family loved it!
Didn't get to see it. The husband lived it!
Very cool. Take the trail and have some fun.
Must see. To actually see the bones in the rock was amazing!!!
Just incredible
Love visiting our national parks and monuments
The wall of fossils is amazing.
Very impressive collection of bones. Enter from the top level by using the exterior ramp. The upper level entrance offers the greatest Wow factor upon entering. Follow up your visit with the automobile self guided tour by making a left at the intersection that would take you out of the park and be sure to pick up the guide map just after the left turn. Information in the paper guide as well as signage at each of the stops provides more information about the unique topography of the Monument.
Nice and well maintained
Loved it. Visited with my son and we both had a great time exploring and learning! Always love the added knowledge of the park rangers.
We hadn't been there since the renovations took place and it was wonderful to be able to take two of our grandchildren with us and see the excitement on their faces as they went through the displays and got to feel real dinosaur bones still in the rock matrix. Excellent learning experience for young and old, oops, I mean more mature, alike.
