Average Rating:

DESCRIPTION

You will see the reviews of real people who are using the products and services of Ophir Historic District (Museum) near Utah.

Right now this business receives a score of 4.7 stars out of 5 and that score was based on 68 reviews.

You may have noticed that its rating is virtually the best one, and it is based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can think that the score is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to give their opinion when they are happy, it works.

As you know, we do not usually stop to write scores when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

This Museum is included in the category of Local history museum.

REVIEWS OF Ophir Historic District IN Utah

There aren't a lot of places like this odd little "town" in Ophir Canyon. The historic buildings from its mining days are really interesting. We had a great time chatting with Richard the guide. It's also a nice drive from Salt Lake.

Susan Mencer

Awesome place! Fun and educational

Benjamin Hertz

Brian Schultz

Great history and artifacts. Closed during part of the year so make sure to check ahead of visit.

Sheri Mueller

This was really interesting and fun to stop at! There are bathrooms and picnic tables. However, be aware that there is nowhere to buy water or food unless the shop happens to be open on Saturday!

Not much to do but kind of a fun place to drive around and see what it used to be a busy mining town. No cell service with Verizon. Small gift store there only accepts cash.

Spencer Wilson

What a great little town full of historic sites and artifacts. The neighbors were kind and helpful.. Be careful w long vehicles. We towed our 39ft fifth wheel and had to really work to get find a place to turn it around

Ashley Anderson

Little known fact: the more admiration you bestow upon, and money you spend in Ophir, the greater luck you will have in your own quest for riches. This five star rating alone will probably lead to, say, me finding a 1921 silver dollar behind my refrigerator or something. This proud and historic gem of a town is solid karmic gold and that's no joke.

Shanna Norman

Beautiful town, quiet, nice people, I love how they decorate for Christmas and Halloween, even last time they had a Minion out! They really have taken care of the historic buildings, they are neat to see! It seems that each resident has done something neat to there own homes! Take your time driving thru to see everything!

Free to see mine town. Lots of historical items to see. The kids enjoyed washing wool and drying it out like they did in the old days.

john schofield

A great little hidden gem. Take the kids and check out a piece of the past

Benjamin Porter

Really cool collection of historic buildings. Most have been moved (were not originally located here) and many are restored rather than original, but still very interesting to see the history of this mining town. All the buildings are within easy walking distance. You can find a place to park along the street or up the side road a bit and then walk around. Look for signs tho because parking is not allowed everywhere.

O Shanks

This fun little historic district is such a gem! They are open May through October on Saturdays. I just wandered around the little town within a town. The history and the town support to create this tribute to Ophir's past is incredible. There were clear interpretive signs and delightful period decorations. It did creap my kids out and it takes a while to get there. But I loved it!

Michael Warkentin

Awesome mini town full of historical displays and great camping up the canyon.

Nathan Muir

Really really cool!! We visited too late in the year so everything was closed down. Although a local told us we were allowed to wander and look into the windows if we liked. This place was a really cool outdoor museum. I definitely am going to return next summer and check it out while everything is in full swing. The little town was so cute and charming, it is hard to pass up
