You will see the feddbacks of real people who know the products of Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point (Museum) in the area close to the state of Utah.
Currently the firm gets a score of 4.6 stars out of 5 and that rating was based on 1440 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is basically the highest, and it is founded on a high number of feddbacks, so we can think that the evaluation is very reliable. If many people have bothered to give their score when they are pleased, it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to set reviews when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Museum is included in the category of Museum.
Great place to visit! It is a bit expensive, especially if you have several people to pay for. We have a membership and my children love visiting and looking for the gnomes.
Absolutely fantastic museum with many different mounted skeletons. Well maintained with many hands on displays covering from the start of life to the modern day. Absolutely worth a visit. Expect an hour to two to make it through. Also has actual fossil preparation on site with a good display on how fossils are found and prepared.
My family gets a yearly pass for the Thanksgiving point museums. So we end up going here quite a bit. The kids absolutely love it and there is a lot of interactive things for them to do. And then there's a lots of big dinosaurs to look at. So I guess it lives up to the name of a dinosaur museum.
Awesome sights and mind twisting trying to find the gnomes
My wife and I went here for her birthday we loved it! It's significantly smaller that the U's natural history museum but this one is staged way better in my opinion. A lot of attention to little details in the foreground and background of sets. They have special cases like the ones I posted which make it really easy to see the dinosaur you are looking at. We walked the thing in about an hour and we took our sweet slow time reading almost everything. They have a dig pit for the kiddos when you make it to the end.
This museum is over priced for what you get. I've been to the dino park in Ogden and the museum at the U and they were a lot better. What's most disappointing is the fact that they have an Iguana in a small box and 2 large fish in a tank they dont fit in. Kids spend less than 15 seconds looking at these live creatures. This is a museum... not a zoo. They should be in their natural habitat.
Kids loved it. Definitely a great place to spend a good chunk of the day.
This is a large and quiet museum, great for indoor entertainment and learning. There an area at the beginning with changing activities and displays, but most of the museum remains the same throughout the year(s). The are a handful of activity stops that are awesome for kids under 10, including a water/ sand area and a sand "excavation" area... these spots can be crowded, but the kids don't seem to mind. Times closer to opening and closing tend to be the slowest.
Went to their "dino day" and had a blast. Little sister wants to become a paleontologist, and the staff there was very informative and friendly.
A great museum for the history of life on Earth. Of course the dinosaur fossils were excellent but as someone who has been to quite a few museums, I was especially impressed with their reproductions of earlier life (bryozoans, crinoids, stromatolites, etc) I had never seen them replicated so well that I could picture what they looked like when they were alive in their habitats. I would especially recommend this to any geology students.
Well done, mostly for kids that are five and up
Very cool place. Much better than I thought it would be. I've seen quite a few dinosaur museums, this is certainly one of the best
We loved the dinosaur museum! Super fun for the kids and the adults loved it too! We could have spent all day here
Great museum. The dinosaurs are in abundance here. Cute little cafe and gift shop too. Definitely more of a kids museum though. The price is really high. I paid $20 and it took me probably 20 minutes to get through the museum. It could take longer if you love to read everything. But it's fast more kid friendly than geared towards adults.
Great family museum. Any little boy or girl that is in love with dinosaurs will love it. If you live close you might as well get a membership. The whole property is worth multiple visits.
huge models and fossils and skeletons of different types of dinosaurs. children will love it . they can play in the sand pits and extract fossils.
Amazing. Something for all ages. Staff super engaging.
Such beautiful interior design. Fun exhibits, gift shop, and restaurant. Great for kids and parents alike!
Children and adults alike are fascinated with the dinosaur fossils, the interactive exhibits, and the interesting facts. The water and sand table is a hit, and digging at the end is delightful. Instead of shovels, which children were always using to throw sand, they have little tools with holes in the middle. There are plenty to go around, too. The supersaurus is unbelievable. I love coming here.
This is one of my kids favorite places to go
Such a huge awesome clean museum. Everyone is so friendly and patient with the kids.
I had a lotnof fun with my 2.5 year old. Lots for her to look at and touch.
The exhibits are welllayed out and are tailored for engagement with younger audiences. It also regularly has educational programs and special events making it worth your while to visit multiple times. The museum has a lot of verity in fossils displayed. From T-Rex to Megalodon, this place has you covered.
Love this place . Great flow as you walk through history and see the fantastic exhibits. The only thing missing from this place is a velociraptor skeleton
So much fun! Really nice well developed family friendly museum. Well worth it. The gift shop and cafe will not try to rip you off either which is good for the pocket book. Lots of hands on activities and educational set ups.
We really enjoyed this museum. I wished we could have come when my kids were a bit younger though. The only thing that was frustrating, but was to be expected, was the evolution as fact throughout the whole museum.
Very neat place for kids they loved it!
I remember going on field trips here as a kid and I still love it!
LOTS of fun! The displays are amazing! Fun activities for kids to participate in.
We went on $2 dollar Tuesday and to our surprise it wasnt really busy. The displays are well laid out, with lots of information for those interested in Ancient Life. As one who's been to the Natural history Smithsonian, I prefer this venue.
So fun! They have very detailed exhibits. Great for kids.
Awesome museum, my daughter loved all the dinosaurs bones. Great place for kids and adults, very educational.
Kind of a kitchy museum, less polished than the natural history museum, almost tourist trappy
Great experience very kid friendly. Twenty to get in, $15 for seniors.
This was a fantastic time!! Great displays and dioramas. Look for the gnomes.
We absolutely love going to the dinosaur museum! The kids never Tire of it. So many fun things to go and see and do. The discovery room is always tons of fun, and ever-changing. We love going and seeing the different Hands-On experiences that they have in there. Walking through the museum is always fun, as you go through you start with the creation of the world and the first forms of life on Earth. It's really fascinating to walk through the star tunnel and see the very first life forms. As you progress through the museum and get to the age of the dinosaurs and see their vast skeletons towering above you oh, it is truly a unique experience. My kids also love the water and sand table, and the fossil pit at the end. Tons of fun! worth the money & every minute.
I enjoyed this museum but felt it was a bit expensive given the amount of time it took to walk through and view the vast majority of the exhibits. Even still, there is something incredible about seeing dinosaur skeletons. Great experience for kids.
Loved the Gnome hunt! We have memberships and came back 3 times to find them all. Whoever hides them is diabolical as some locations are quite the trick to find. They rotate hidden locations every 3 to 6 months from my understanding. Families or individuals that find them all get a certificate and they post your achievement by the museum exit. Next time we're bringing binoculars and a big flashlight. Gnomes, you have been warned!
This is a great place to learn about ancient life (Dinosaurs) and other items. It is definitely more focused on kids, but adults can have fun there as well. My kids favorite thing to do here is play in the sand and water exhibit where they get to learn about erosion. Overall if you like dinosaurs your going to love it here.
It never gets old when I come to visit!
For the price point this museum is expensive and not every experience is available during the school season. We were disappointed that we couldnt do the Junior Paleo lab during the week. But 20 dollars per adult and 15 dollars per child is expensive. However we did have a good time and our little ones enjoyed most of the exhibits.
Took a Cub scout den and it was perfect for 6 boys. I was surprised how empty it was in the evening but it was perfect for our outing. 1 hour for by. We wish we could have stayed longer. I want to go back so I can actually read about it sometime.
A wonderful museum for dinosaur fans or amateur paleontologists. They have A large collection of fossils and replicated skeletons. The museum does a nice job catering to young people with lots of hands-on opportunities. However, the serious "dino-fan" will also find a lot of value at the museum. There's something there for everyone... regardless of age.
My family loves visiting this museum. Lots of fun hands on activities for the kids. A great place to learn and explore. We've been several times and my kids still love visiting. Their favorite is exploring and playing at the sand & water tables.
Absolutely amazing and well worth it. Our kids favorite museum.
This place is spectacular. And great for people of all ages. Yesterday I was there with kids ranging from age 6 to h-12 and the enjoyed it thoroughly. They also printed out things because of their size and age and interests that I had never noticed before even though I have been there many times. also they are always updating and changing their displays. It is just a wonderful place. I will say that it is a little bit pricey for a one-time visit, but if you buy the annual pass and go two or three times then it is well well with it besides that the annual passes work for all of the venues not just the museum. It is just amazing.
Super cool exhibits, interesting layout, very kid friendly. One of our favorite weekend activities.
Came with my 4yo old son and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We stayed for 2 hours. The biggest hit was the erosion table with all the sand, water, and toy dinosaurs. A solid hour of our time was just the erosion table.
Super fun experience! Great for kids and adults alike! This will definitely be a family favorite destination for years to come.
It has a lot of fun for kids. My 8 year old dinosaur lover thought it was better than Disneyland. It seemed pricey at $20 per person and with having to pay additional $7 or $8 to see the 3D movies.
It's about the dinosaurs, explore a Carboniferous Forest, and dive deep into a Cretaceous Ocean at this Museum .it's one of the world’s largest displays of mounted dinosaurs with many complete dinosaur skeletons in the galleries, along with more hands-on exhibits. This is the destination to enjoy learning about pre-historic animals, kids playing with toy dinosaurs in the Erosion Table, and digging for fossils in the quarry dig area.. Price reduced in August every Tuesday 2$ admission fee.
We love spending the day here, great hands on for our kids, and great way to spend an afternoon. Great exhibits to keep my attention as well! Highly recommend!
We LOVE the dinosaur museum and it’s one of our favorite go-tos with the thanksgiving point yearly membership.
Goooood for kids !! My son love this place Love it
Great place to take your kids. It's a great atmosphere of learning and exploring the earths past and much much more!
Such a great place for kids and parents. I would recommend it to everyone.
Kids always love this place! Digging for fossils a highlight!
The museum has lots of interesting exhibits and is great for kids. Even older kids love the water and save play area
It's a cute place, seems a bit outdated though. There are some cool pieces and my little guy always has a good time when we go. If I had to choose I'd pick the natural history museum at the U, but this one is great to take kids to for a quick walk around.
my kids love going to the dinosaur museum. They have lots of Hands-On interactive exhibits and lots of places where the kids can learn and participate in fun activities. The staff is also always kind and speedy oh, we've done several of their additional activities and they've always been great and very patient with my kids.
It's a great place to go and learn about the extinction of the dinosaurs and how they discovered fossils. It's a must go and see for yourself. It's was a great learning experience. I took my family and we enjoyed it alot. This place also had 3D movies which I suggest watching. There is alot of info and show to see. There is even a second floor. We went there on $2 Tuesday. Plan on coming early about 8am-9am to find parking. And plan on staying about 3-6 hours if watching 3D movies too. They have a food cafe and a gift shop there too. I really loved it. Take your kids, family and friends. You will say "Wow". Be prepared to be amazed.
This museum was fun for adults and children. The displays were beautiful and informative, and there were numerous hands-on exhibits for children.
If you or your kids are remotely into dinosaurs this is a must stop. If not, there's still a good time to see the exhibits and play in the water table building with the sand and dinosaurs but I would recommend checking out the Museum of Natural Curiosity instead which is still on Thanksgiving Points campus just up the road by the golf course. Better yet buy a pass for the year and check both out as often as you can and you won't be disappointed. Great stop on a vacation or as a local trying to kill an afternoon with kids.
I have been going to this museum for 2 years. We go at least once a month with my dinosaur obsessed toddler. It is perfect to walk through and feel like you are really seeing dinosaurs. The membership is the way to go to get the most bang for your buck if you live nearby!! (The membership gets you into 5 different museums nearby)
Even when it's crowded its awesome. They designed these places to manage the crowds so well
Great time for the whole family. Kids loved it and of all the things they really liked playing in the sand and water feature. The displays are nice it is a fun place to see all the dinosaur remains.
Kids love the dinosaur museum as they call it.
The dinosaur museum has always beeny favorite. It is such an amazing work of art. The details of each painting never ceases to amaze me. I get so frustrated with the gnome hunt. I have no idea how they can successfully hide so many gnomes into the painting. I take the kids here for tales for tots. The preschool teachers do a phenomenal job with music, dance, and art. This place is amazing.
It is not a frequent repeat attraction. We have a pass and go maybe once per year. It's nice that before the exhibit they have a room that has some things from the rotating exhibit room in the curiosity museum and there's hardly ever anyone there. Lots of Bones to look at, and great sand, water, and digging for fossils, but for young kids that's the best attraction. Even for older kids it's hard to read all the long, complicated signs and information. It'd be nice if they geared the information toward the 8-12 crowd, with a little larger print and simpler terms. Overall it's good but you'll only spend maybe an hour there, unless your kids loves sand and water, or looking for gnomes.
This place is an awesome museum. There are so many fun Hands-On things to do and the dinosaur bones are amazing. It is really cool to see paleontologist work on real fossils and you can make a cast of dinosaur tooth. If you have any interest in dinosaurs at all definitely should be one of the top stops on your list in tandem with Vernal.
They haven't really changed the exhibits for a long time but it was good
There are spots that look rundown or in need of fixing as far as the hands on parts go otherwise they have great traveling exhibits. You can actually see paleontologist working sometimes they will even come out and talk to the kids or just wave. They have a live hidden picture activity people can enjoy doing to get a prize at the end.
Always better than expected. It's HUGE, and lots of things to keep all ages of kids and adults engaged for hours. One oddball thing to check out is their food court. For under $3 you can get a really tasty grilled cheese with 3 slices of real cheese on real bread. Strange but true.
Love this place and my kids and my wify they love it coming back for sure.
This museum has fantastic displays that really help place fossils into their ecological context. My daughter loves visiting!
Fun for the kids. It was fairly crowded when we were there buy the staff was still very kind and helpful
My 4 year old LOVED it here!! You can seriously spend all day here. So much to do and see! I especially love all of the hands on activities like digging for dinosaur bones and the cool River with sand that they could play in!
Very expensive for how short the museum is. Management plays no role in setting the environment for a MUSEUM! Along with completely disrespectful/underqualified parents, allowing there kids to act like it's a outdoor playground. This place was hardly enjoyable. Thanksgiving point has lost my future business.
This is a wonderful place to see. Was very impressed with all the displays and how family oriented it is. Would highly recommend everyone to go
Great museum!!! Very well done, lots of great exhibits!!
Amazing place. Really nerded out looking at all the prehistoric life on display
The museum is great. Interesting display of dinosaurs and fossils. Lots of information. Children can touch, play and feel some of the creation. Every child needs to experience.
My boys love this museum, lots to see and learn
I love the exhibits here. There is so much to learn and see, I find or understand something new every time I come here. Great way to spark curiosity in fossils, or to expand a current passion!
This is my favorite dinosaur museum I've ever visited. It's well laid out, informative and the displays are very high quality. I love the way it presents everything in chronological order as the prehistory of the world played out. There's plenty here to entertain both adults and children.
You want with our children and grandchildren and had a great time. Amazingly enough I was able to learn a lot. The grand kids all under the age of five really enjoyed it. The Hands-On displays were good for the smaller children.
We always have so much fun here! $2 Tuesday is the best - and it's never too crowded if you go on off-times. Easily can spend the day here. My girls love dinosaurs so the fascination never ended. Clean and impressive museum - great for all ages!
The kids love this place. They have a little cafe there, a gift shop. Movies shown there. Kids really like digging for dinosaur bones and playing in the sand and water table.
My daughter loves this place and asks to come multiple times every week and greets the lobby exhibit with, "Hi, Ruth!" every time. The staff members are always courteous and the place kept very clean. It's a very fun dinosaur museum. I don't consider this museum big, but it's not small either. There are a lot of spots for hands on stuff for kids. We haven't attended any of the video features that are available because I think they're a bit pricy. There are also 15 miniature garden gnomes hidden throughout the museum. We've only found six before they were all moved.
This museum is beautifully designed, with far too much fascinating information to absorb in one visit. We went through fast on the heals of eager twins, so the hubby and I will go back alone to see and learn more. Highly recommend!
This place is so cool! My three year old loved it. We will go back.
This was a very fun visit for young kids. I would definitely take them again. There were fun things to look at and a number of hands on activities
As far as dinosaur museums go, this one is pretty good. There was a lot to see, and a few hands-on activities for the younger kids. It was really interesting to see what was here in Utah a billion years ago! I would have given it five stars, but the areas that were hands-on were not well kept. The brushes looked like they were ten years old, and there weren't enough to go around. Some of the dinosaurs in the water/sand area had lost limbs... Like all of their limbs were gone, leaving only a torso. So, overall results: my 8 year old and my 13 year old wanted to come back. The 4 year old, not so much.
Fun place that the kids love to visit. Plenty of hands on things to keep them entertained.
Very impressive collection of fossils and dinosaurs skeletons. Fun for kids and adults.
There was so much to see and learn! It's a very nice museum that's set up to be entertaining and aesthetically pleasing. There are little sections throughout the museum for kids to play in and they even do little events and activities for kids. I really liked how easy it was to navigate the museum and how everything flowed.
Wonderful museum for all ages. Especially enlightening if you take the time to watch fossil fuel videos and read the info plagues.
It's fun to walk through here at your own pace and they have engaging displays for kids with a lot of fun areas to stop and let them play. They have a handicap accessible archeology table so that kids/adults who want to participate in the fun can do so. My favorite thing has to be the star bridge.
Fun and informative experience that kept all ages interested.
This was a very fun and educational place to visit. My wife and I have deep respect for the curators and employees who put in the work for these exhibits. The amount of details and knowledge they try to pass on is incredible. This place is a must if you have children. So many fun hands on things you can do.
Amazing value for the admission, made even better with the connect pass. The connect pass is good for a year, and a great value. This Museum is great for the displays and the fact that there is so much that us hands on and interactive. All of us (adults, children and even the toddler) love it and intend to come back to this museum and to Thanksgiving point every chance we get. Make sure to check out the design a done corner...
Overrated for all the hype. After already visiting their Museum of Natural Curiosity I would have expected something a little more than what it was. Heard about it for years and seemed to have much hype about how great it was. The lay out is designed with not a user friendly flow and requires back tracking. We realized that after noticed some exhibits from the second floor and expected to be routed back to it but found the exit instead. So much replicas and man made items with very low quality. Especially those in the water area. Seemed more like I was shopping for fake plastic items for my fish aquarium. Wish it was more life like. And not nearly as hands on exhibits as we hoped for. And the nature movies for members was $6. That seems pricey for a nature movie and ridiculous for a member price. If attendance would have been out of pocket instead of the membership, would have felt it was a waste of funds. Especially for it taking maybe an hour.
Dinos and gnomes. Fun for everyone! They keep changing exhibits to keep it interesting. The staff are wonderful. My kids have a blast everytime we go. Thanks Thanksgiving point!
Get your youngins and get ready for an experience not soon forgotten. My six year old son absolutely loved it. We will be back!!!
So fun to take kiddos to
This was fun and educational, play area for the kids, cafe and gift shop.
Fun but could use some updating.
Fun place for our kids. They especially like the water table and digging in the sand. Not a place we can take them frequently as they get bored with it quickly. Love that it's included in the Thanksgiving Point Membership so we can keep it in on an occasional rotation for visits, especially in the winter when a lot of outdoor activities are limited for our young kids. My wife and I have also enjoyed several quick dates here looking for hidden gnomes!
We could (and often do) spend hours here. My son absolutely loves it! Great for the whole family. If you're going, give yourself at LEAST an hour, but I'd say even two! Depends on how interested you are. There is a fun water/sand room and also a room to dig for bones!
Kids beg to go here able every 2-4 months, and it seems each time there is something a little different that they really want to focus on. Each time they have a new display or learning area at the front, then the museum itself is more-or-less the same each time. A few years ago they started giving museum goers something a little new to look for and were hiding very small dwarfs all over the place and you could get a reward if you knew where they all were. This made it a little distracting, because so many people would bring flashlights to look for the dwarfs, that were VERY well hidden. The erosion area is cool, and the kids enjoy playing in the sand, I only wish the clean up area had better water pressure and dryers to help clean off. And the "dig" area is cool as well for the kids to play in the dry sand. Overall the bones and displays are top notch and the kids really have fun exploring and learning.
My family bought the membership and it’s definitely worth it! My sons favorite part about Thanksgiving Point is the dinosaur museum. We’ll go at least once a week. We love the exhibits and they are engaging even for my 4 yr old. The museum is very kid friendly and will keep him entertained for a couple of hours. The little food bar they have has a great selection of food and drinks. It makes for a fun family outing
Great staff! Nice museum layouts and exhibits! Very busy and a bit crazy on Saturday. I suggest another day if you want to enjoy it! Could hardly find parking!
Family friendly and informative! Many hands-on activities for children. Perfect afternoon with the family :)
Fan of dinosaurs since I was a kid. This place had bones and corresponding timelines for all periods. The neatest one was the fossilized ancient sea life.
Rip off. $20 for adults and $15 for kids. I paid $55 for a 20 mins visit. My daughter is really into dinosaurs but what a disappointment this place was. A few fossils here and there and the same with replicas. Absolutely-not-worth-the-price. This place is 100% making-money oriented like Seaworld. Not the place to visit if you want your kiddos to have a super fun learning experience. Never coming back again
Not nearly as great as all the reviews say. $2 is ok. $20 for an adult is ridiculous for what little there is.
I go here weekly, it's amazing!
Incredible place to see many different dinosaurs. Creative displays and wonderful staff. You won’t regret it.
Kids had a blast....parents were worn out!
An amazing museum. Mini-disneyland for dinosaurs. From the perfect (if a bit loud and a bit creepy for littles) ambient sounds throughout the museum to the extremely well placed lighting that casts shadows of the skeletons on the walls that are almost more interesting to look at than the actual bones themselves this museum is a thrill to walk through. Compound that with "hands on" exhibits and one of the coolest water and sand based play areas I've ever seen makes this place somewhere I look forward to bringing the kids. Admission is high, but I anticipate the operating costs must be comparable. The place is practically spotless and well maintained.
Blew my mind seeing those dinosaur skeletons, loved it! Also doing service for their grounds is a good way to have some fun
So many things to do in Thanksgiving Point. I have taken younger and older kids here and it doesn't matter the age they have loved it. It is quite pricey but, definitely something fun and educational.
Lots to look at but if you have little kids they might get a little board
We have always loved this place
We love this place as a family. Our son is in the dinosaur phase so we're here often. They have a good collection of dinosaurs skeletons. They also have a great selection of things for kids to do and to keep their attention and engaged in the prehistoric exploration. Great place for kids!
Fun place for children who love dinosaurs. It's informative and young for children ages 2+. We loved the water and sang play, as well as the giant skeletons. The sand quarry needs more brushes, though. They place is a tad overpriced- should be $10/person.
This was a hit with our family! It starts out with the earliest known life and fossils on the earth, and then makes it's way to the time of the dinosaurs. There are some huge dinosaur fossils to see! Then, it shows underwater life during the dinosaur times. Then, it continues forward in time to the mammoths and ends on a conservation note. The fossils are amazing - with some very rare specimens. There are also fossils that the kids are allowed to touch. It's definitely worth the cost to get in.
Lots of information. Enjoyed the discovery room where you can answer questions along the maze and learn about dinosaurs. The sand areas are great for little kids.
The sand/water tables were a huge hit for my kids!
Found all but 1 gnome and spent 4 hours there. A lot of fun. The gnome hunt made it more entertaining for us adults.
Super fun place to bring kids. In addition to amazing exhibits they have other creative and fun activities. They also have an area to play in sand/ water with toy dinosaurs and another sandy area where kids can discover large fossils in the sand and brush them off
The Museum of Ancient Life is a great place to spend an afternoon with your family. The exhibits are fascinating and the hands on sections keep the kids attention, while teaching them important facts. I know I always pick up something new every time we go.
We love coming here to play. My girl's favorite place to play is where the sand and water and dinosaurs are. They could play there for a good half an hour or more. Buying a family pass is so worth it!
My children loved this place. Look for the hidden gnomes. We only found 4 painted ones. The sand pit and water are great for kids.
Great for a quick walk through, a learning experience or just to have the kids play. They have a water table with plastic dinosaurs and sand where you find the dinosaurs and a sand excavation area where kids can "dig" for dinosaurs, a magnetic board where you puzzle piece together dinosaur bones and a felt board to create a dinosaur. This place, like all the other thanksgiving pointe places, is way cool and offers an interactive experience for any ages!
Very fun place to take the family. Clean and well maintained. Very clean bathrooms. My kids were fully engaged the whole time we were there. The first room they are adding on was all about earthquakes and I can't wait till it is finished. I ran out of fuel before they did. There is a place to eat after, and the gift shop had fun toys. The staff was friendly and engaging. Parking was difficult, but maybe that was just because it was a Saturday. I would definitely recommend you check it out!
My grand daughter had her Birthday here. It was a great time for all the kids. And the adults seam to al have a fun time as well. Thanks to the staff for all your help!
Highly disappointed. My son has a deep interest in dinosaurs (and we've been to the dinosaur park in Ogden), and this place was a huge let down.... and extremely expensive for what they offered. We went through it twice, hoping we had missed something that was interesting. The sand pit at the end had potential, but hurt my child's feet. The only thing that looked interesting was the movie playing and that was extra money. Not impressed!
Love coming here to learn with my little boy!
Kids love it here. Overpriced, but so is everything at Thanksgiving point. Other than that it is a great museum with good exhibits and intermittent activities.
The museum has potential to be so cool but half the interactive exhibits are out of order and the whole museum is decorated with fake plants covered with a thick layer of dust. I guess I'm just partial to the Natural History Museum of Utah, which has fewer dinosaurs but is cleaner and more fun for kids at half the price.
I have taken all five of children here when they were little. I love the one on one time. They learn as they play. It's a great getaway from the cold.
The Museum of Ancient Life is a great place for all sorts of occasions. There is a ton of exciting things to see for kids and adults that make for a great play day or date night. They have all sorts of cool exhibits, and fascinating information about each one. They also have a comfortable theater with documentary like films across a wide spectrum of topics. The staff has always been friendly and knowledgeable, both at this museum as well as the other museums and venues across Thanksgiving Point.
This museum holds a special place in my childhood! Loved going here as a kid with the many activities that are available. Spent a few birthday's here that made great memories I cherish! Great for all ages. Hands on activities for children and cool information to read and learn for older visitors! I highly recommend this place!
The best B-day party ever!! Incredible staff!
A great place to take kids, but kinda pricey
Fossils, dinosaur bones, and digging like a paleontologist. We love it!
They exhibits here are really fun and engaging, and a future paleontilogist's dream! My kiddos loved the models and learned a lot.
My kids love coming here... They love seeing the dinosaur bones and the interactive exhobits are always fun.
The dinosaur fossils were amazing. Fun interactive things for the littles!
Great place for kids. Plenty of games and such for them to enjoy and interact with. Plenty for me to read and learn. I spent about 3 hours in the museum enjoying the sights.
Great museum with dinosaurs and an area where kids can play in the mud and water (with their hands) and dig for bones.
Lots of sweet dino displays!!
This is a fun, quick stop, but WAY overpriced. For what it is, you'd expect to be able to get in for about $5 per person. The exhibits haven't changed much over the years, and I'm guessing the water and sand in the erosion table haven't changed in as much time either. When you walk in the room there's a distinct rotting smell. My son needed help fishing a dinosaur out of the water, which is when I realized that the water was the source of the stench. After washing my hands, the odor still didn't go away. When I told an employee, he said it just stank because of the chlorine, but I insisted that it smelled like a dinosaur really had crawled in there and died. Finally I got him to actually smell the water, and he realized I was right and said he'd tell someone. I'm not sure if anything was ever actually done, but I wouldn't be surprised if many of the children whose parents paid obscene admittance prices ended up getting sick from the unsanitary conditions.
Educational and very fun at the same time. Walked in at 6pm. Wish I had more time there. My 8 year old daughter loved it!
Great for kids. Not as much to see and interact with as I had hoped. But some really neat exhibits and displays. Luckily the power stayed on the entire time and none of the Dinos got loose.
I don't know if it was a matter of timing but it felt like some of the energy had gone out of the museum. In some ways that was good because there was little of kids competing for resources but at the same time it didn't have the same vibe as the last time we went a few years ago. The kids still had a great time and it was fun learning about ancient eras in the development of Earth.
