This Museum belongs to the category of Planetarium.
We hosted a company party at the Clark Planetarium recently and I have to say how impressed I was with their staff. Sean especially made extra effort to ensure our whole event went off without a hitch. There are a lot of interesting displays to look at throughout the building as well as the amazing rock light show they put on for us. It's definitely a little different scenery for a party, but entertaining and fun even for a group of adults. Highly recommended for private events and kudos to the staff for helping make ours a success.
A reason by itself to go to Gateway Mall. Personally I can watch far hours the pendulum, knowing what it represents, but read about it. Beyond that, the scale where you can see your weight on different planets is wonderful. The place where they have created Mars environment is wonderful. Also play with the huge mechanical thing in the middle of it. Its movies are OK, but cannot match with overall attractions in, which are unlike the movies completely free.
The Clark Planetarium is an awesome place. I really admire that they've opened it to the public for free so that kids have a great learning environment that parents don't have to break the bank for. It's honestly fun as an adult to come here too! There are so many interactive activities here and you could spend hours going through all of it. Then to top it off, go see an IMAX show at a decent cost with the kiddos. And this is a random detail, but the air conditioning in summer is AWESOME. This is a must visit place for all families with children of any age! (Including children at heart)
My family loved our trip to the planetarium! Such a wonderful experience. With so many educational features!! Rating 10 stars! And all the staff from tickets, 3D movies, gift shop, were super nice. Highly recommend
Beautiful museum with lots of interactive displays, a dome theatre and IMAX. Concessions are not terribly expensive and the museum gift shop has lots of educational items , including science based toys, telescopes, posters, and tees. All items reasonably priced. The planetarium is amazing. Huge difference from the old Minolta analog device perched in the middle of the dome I saw as a kid, with metal perforated plates it projected through. This one is all computer controlled, rear projected graphics. Admission is free and shows are $7 and last about an hour. Well worth it. My 3 year old daughter is fascinated with astronomy and loved it!
Legendary
Great place to learn about universe. A lot of interactive expositions, physical experiments and visual information. Bring your kids - an one hour here = school physics course.
We recently move to Orem. Decided to visit the planetarium. It's kinda small but fun. It was a school day so it was packed with young kids. Snack bar prices are very reasonable. Didn't go to any of the show because of all the kids, but we will be going back another day. We enjoyed it.
Great local place that has free admission, cheap parking, great movies and cheap concessions. A great place to take kids for an afternoon of space exploration!
This is a must see if you have kids and are visiting salt lake City. It's a free museum unless you want to see one of the shows. There is plenty to see and do to last a few hours. Our kids loved it! Parking is available for free if you can find one of the street spots within the mall, but otherwise you have to pay in the garage.
This place is a lot of fun with great shows. Not the biggest or most advanced planetarium but great for an afternoon of enjoyment. The prices are reasonable.
UPDATE 4/19/2019. We came back two months later and had a chance to actually experience the place. Our kids loved it. The place is packed with hands on activities and with a bunch of "educational" videogames. We will return. Original review. The worst possible experience. We had our 6yr old and 8yr old with us to buy memberships. When we got in line there were 30min to the movie that we wanted to watch. In front there was a family who wanted to convert their tickets to memberships. The guy at the counter did not know what or how to do it. He kept calling the manager who was simply not showing up. 30 min later when our movie started and we were still in line I ripped the paperwork and left disgusted with 2 upset kids. The family in front of was still waiting for a resolution... They missed the movie also. Lack of training made this mess possible. When you just care about profits and not customers this is what you get. We drove down from Montana to experience the planetarium and instead got to experience gross incompetence. Advice to Management: train your employees! ALL your employees!
The museum itself is free and has a lot to see and do, there is a price for the star shows but it is pretty reasonable and totally worth it.
Very interesting exhibits, a must visit for astronomy nerds.
Great place to educate kids about space. There are lots of fun activities for different learning levels, and the gift shop doesn't just appeal to every age, they also have books and posters that would be awesome additions to a homeschool curiculum
Wonderful FREE experience for enthusiasts and newcomers alike! Extremely kid friendly, while also being engaging enough to keep the adults happy as well. Our show in the dome was $4 per person and was fantastic. My only complaint is that I wish it was bigger, so the fun could continue! You could run through in 30 minutes, or take your time and easily spend 2 hours.
Nice place.... A couple hours max .... For kids who can't sit still and explore things you may be lucky to get 15 minutes out of the place unless you pay for IMAX.......
I was blown away by the magic, learning and scope of interest of this place. I took my three children, ages 9, 6 and almost 3 and they were all thoroughly engaged on all three levels. My older children had an assembly at school about the planetarium and begged to go. We were not disappointed. We did not see a movie because of the 3-year-old, but we bought very well-priced snacks ($3 for a huge popcorn, $1 for a small ice cream) and learned and interacted in a completely engrossing way. I would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in space and free, educational exhibits.
I love how it is free! Great exhibits and a awesome gift shop!
My Love took me on a date here and showed me a most memorable experience. We watched a 3D short film called Great Barrier Reef I believe and it was a wonderful day. Magical. There is so much to see and to learn, it's really quite something, fun, and adventurous, the atmosphere is immersive. Recommend this place family visits, or quirky, romantic fun dates.
My kids love this place, I love that it's free! Fun, interactive, and educational.
Really cool stuff here. Great place to take the family. Just be careful, the neighbourhood is not too nice on that side of town.
They have TONS of awesome displays for you to see. Very educational experience that doesn't cost anything to walk in and enjoy. I'd give it four stars only because every time I go there seems to be a problem with parents who don't care to watch or discipline their kids as they walk right in front of you and start playing with the very display you are reading/looking at.
This place is great! The educational exhibits are all free, and the IMAX movies aren't too expensive. They've got new exhibits in the last couple years, I think they change them often. My kids love it.
Incredible worthwhile experience. Something for every age. Loved Focaults Pendulum.
It was a very enjoyable experience at the planetarium. It was quite small but there were an imense amount of hands on activities. It is a great spot for young children who want to have the experience. They have shows in the dome theater and movie theater. They have a very large gift shop with countless items and souvenirs.
Worst place I have ever worked. Don’t work here don’t take your kids here stay away.
I love this place. I visit it every time I'm in Salt Lake. Makes education fun for everyone.
I used to love going here as a kid!
Cool place but the move theatre smells so bad it gave me a headache.
Good place to learn and play
It's a great place to go, and they've improved vastly since the remodel. Would be nice to have more roving staff to engage patrons.
I had a membership when I lived in SLC. That’s where my son saw his first movie ever about the creation of the universe. They show plenty of cool movies.
We love going to the planetarium and imax! Cheapest popcorn in town!
Great place... Way to many people though.. love that it's free but they need to cut down traffic with reservations.
Lots of great activities for all ages! They are always adding new exhibits, so there's always something new to explore when we go.
I love how hands on the Clark Planetarium is. They do a pretty good job at maintenance and rotation through displays, etc. They can get busy, especially being downtown and a free destination. If you go close to opening you'll have an hour or so to really explore before the crowds arrive. They do offer a family restroom although it's always locked. If your planning on taking your little one to the bathroom, it's probably easier to use the regular ones than hunt down a key. The parking garage is free on Sundays so it's definitely worth taking advantage of.
Fun, free planetarium. I imagine it would be great if you had kids (the people who came certainly brought their entire crews), but I don't have kids and I still had a good time. It's a good time killer though their exhibits don't seem to change very often.
Clark Planetarium deserves points for being a well-balanced museum that offers a lot of science information and interaction free of charge. This place is super popular with schools, naturally, so probably plan on coming later in the day to avoid insane crowds of children.
This is one of my favorite places. The recent remodeling and additions have made it more noisy, but a lot more entertaining for kids and teens. There is a lot of hands on stuff to do, especially for free. The designers of the displays clearly love their work and love space. I have taken my kids every year since they were babies and we always have fun.
I found this place interesting and my daughter always really liked visiting it.
Stopped in for fun and discovered that had totally redone the exhibits. It was already fun bit now it is amazing. So many interactive things. Drive rovers but in a set that feels like Jupiter's moon Io. Just lots to do and see aside from the amazing shows. The store has some fun stuff in it as well.
We really enjoyed the exhibits! Very interactive and interesting. Unfortunately we were not able to go to one of the shows, though I hear excellent things about them! Definitely plan on coming back!
One of the best places to go in Salt Lake! You can watch amazing films in the grand cinedome, in near full 360 degrees, and they have regular-shape films as well. Usually, the films are deeply fascinating, about dinosaurs, outerspace, or even cavemen. They have cool interactive science exhibits as well, such as a giant pendulum, a lunar surface, where you can pretend you are on the moon, as well as a mars surface! There are beautiful works of art on the walls, depicting what it may look like from the surface of each planet in the solar system. There is a "machine of perpetual motion" and there are places to do fun experiments with light, color, and illusions. The exhibits are free, but the films cost a bit of money. Still, you can have a lot of fun here for several hours for free!
This is such a great place to explore and learn about space and it’s free!! I take my small children here and they have a great time, but I’ve also come here just with my husband and had a great time too. Great for any age!
Love the planetarium, this is a great place for kids and adults. The staff is wonderful!
Such an experience going there! The theatre is stunning and trippy.
Super fun. Just wish the employees actually stopped people from breaking rules. Only half the workers actually seem to care.
This place is so much fun! Not only for the kids but for us parents also. I love taking our children to Clark Planetarium for the activities and learning. The kids love it and always ask to go back. They always have such interesting movies as well. I highly recommend.
Enjoyed the free exhibit. We will be back to watch the movies.
Went on a class field trip. The children had an amazing time. Took my family and they had a wonderful time.
I love the 3D effects. Great place to take the kids. I learned stuff too
We always bring our school kids here and always have a fantastic time! Lots of excellent Hands-On exhibits for kids of all ages in the IMAX films are terrific. You can buy snacks and there is a gift shop. Park easily using very nearby garages for a very reasonable cost.
This place is very cool. You could spent a whole afternoon here! There are many hands-one experiments, interactive science games, a 360-theater, an awesome gift shop, and staff to answer any question you have. A great place for both kids and adults!
This is a GREAT place for EVERYONE to go! From hands-on exhibits to truly AMAZING things to watch, the Planetarium wins our vote! The dry-ice exhibit was my favorite! And to get in is FREE!!
Clark planetarium has come leaps and bounds from what I remember! There are so many cool things to see here. The best part is that most of it is free! There are also paid shows, that are extremely cool! My consumer rating A
I went to see the movie 'Accidental Astronauts because I knew my kids would love it. I expected to hate it but was very impressed! Before the movies they take a few minutes to show the night sky and point out the most interesting constellations! The displays are free and very engaging. This place is the best!
Totally free place to bring your family (you pay only for the optional IMAX). Fun for me and 2-out-of-3 kids. 3 levels of activities. Would go again!
For a free planetarium, this place is fantastic!
Lindsay was exceptionally helpful with a request of mine about renting a telescope. While Clark Planetarium doesn't do that, she researched for me what options might exist and called me back. Very, very helpful and definitely an example of a great employee going the extra mile.
Planetarium salt lake city was eye opening. My 10yr old daughter and i went with friends and saw the Classic Rock Laser Show. All the kids and adults singing to Queen Bohemian Rhapsody was an amazing memory made
It's not a real planetarium, in the classical sense, but am over priced movie theater. Okay if you have little kids, but not if black holes fascinate your brain. Very disappointing.
Very cool and interactive. Nice theater for IMAX movies.
Wonderful place for all ages to explore! I recently went with my son's class and the kids had so much fun while learning with all the interactive playing areas, exhibits and of course, the IMAX films experience! Concessions are very reasonably priced. Special thanks to Sam at the Dome Theatre, who was the most passionate, enthusiastic, and engaging universe connoisseur!
Love this place and I love taking my kids to here. Fun and interesting.
Fun place. My kids enjoyed it but you can see all the exhibits rather quickly. The IMAX of course is neat but you have to pay. The store is really cool- lots of fun and interesting science things. We enjoyed the scale that tells you how much you would weigh on different planets, and the mars stage, and my son bought a space suit here with helmet. Loved it. Wore it everywhere.
The new updates make this planetarium a must see. The planetarium charges for the shows but is free for the public to go in. We went to the winter solace event and did art and made bird feeders. We enjoy the place alot. The interactive games, the rovers, playground, and cool Google map technology is interactive, engaging, and interesting. The design and layout is created for and immersive and Inquiry based learning.
Great place to go when in salt lake city, It's free to walk around and enjoy the cool stuff they have there. Meant for kids ages 5 - 12 Older and younger can still enjoy themselves and the Parents can relax about taking them to a place that costs no money. However to go see a show costs money but the're worth it. Excellent considering it's free. and even if it wasn't, it's an entertaining place to go but don't expect to spend more then an hour here if you're not planning to see a show.
Good amount of free stuff for the kids and the movie and concession prices were surprisingly low. Great value! Highly recommend!!
Excellent representation of what any planetarium should be, is very complete.
A membership is the BEST way to go here. The movies are short and selection is always science based including nature, astronomy, and many other kid/parent relative material. And popcorn and soda for $1 with membership!
Super fun! clean, helpful staff, fun activities to do! all around a great time! If you are into anything and everything to do with the earth, and space. YOU need to stop by and check it out, ITS FREE for most everything!
There is a lot of cool exhibits for the kids to play with including the two tornado demonstrators and the huge marble machine, I had a ball looking around
This place is awesome. I go here all the time to see movies and check out their displays. Great place for young and old.
The planetarium has a lot of educational and fun interactive games for kids and adults. My favorite thing to do at the planetarium is watch a show in the dome theater. It was my favorite place growing up and still my favorite place to take my kids.
A lot of cool exhibits. This planetarium also does a great job demonstrating scale for a variety of important objects and concepts.
Excellent place to take the kids! so fun and educational!
Went to the "Rock the Dome" laser show and it was just amazing! We were very lucky to have a live show. Great crew, amazing sounds, mind twisting graphics and awesome lasers.
This a a small and humble planetarium with a few very nice science exhibits that is geared towards children. I also saw Exploding Universe, which was very informational and concise (Not to mention amazing on a domed planetarium screen). They also do a quick astronomy lesson before the movie which helps you find night sky events in the days after visiting the planetarium. A fun and quick adventure when Traveling through Salt Lake!
Super disappointed I tried to bring my daughter here yesterday and I put the address in my navigator and it kept taking us to an Arby’s outside of the gateway mall and I just couldn’t find where this place was so I wasn’t able to take my daughter
This is a great place to take your kids. The admission is free and there are tons of interactive things for kids to do. Bored on a Sunday when half of the town is shut down? This is a good way to blow one to two hours.
It is a great educational free place to take kids. It has lots of interactive activities and fun thigs to do. The imax and dome theaters are also cool.
Great fun! Kids had a blast playing and learning. Saw the 3-d Dream Big show, totally worth the money.
I went here with my husband and saw Explore in the dome theater. It was an awesome experience. The dome theater is better than a 3d movie. The tickets were $9 to see the 40 min movie, and the rest of the exhibits are free. The lady who gave the presentation before the show was smart and funny and taught us a lot of fascinating things. Great for kids and adults.
Had a great day with the family at the planetarium. Lots of exciting things to do!
This place has always done more to expand and grow. It is super impactful for the young and old which is hard to do. It is so fun going here since you can learn so much.
Awesome activities well maintained.
The Clark Planetarium shows kids and adults alike that learning is fun! I grew up in LA with the Griffith Park Observatory and this is WAY better in my opinion. All the stations and displays are just so cool, thoughtful, and informative. We love creating tornados, to searching for black holes, to watching water freeze and exploring the volcanic moon, Io. Best of all, it is free. Parking is free for the first two hours.
It's a great place for children to learn about the space and about our planet. There is three floors and each one of them contains many activities that help children learn and remember. In the first floor you can buy some souvenirs and educational toys. In the second floor you can buy some drinks or popcorns. and you watch movies there. The entrance is for free for no limited time.
Dzia dzia and Andre the Bat had a great time in space!
My husband loves space and I brought him here as a little surprise during a trip He was so excited! The imax theater is so amazing!
Always love coming to the planetarium. I was surprised how much they have updated last time I went they have a fun play zone for kids though it was too big for my toddler my 4yo loved it. Highly recommend this mostly free outing!
Lots of fun stuff to do. The movie thing was really good too
great resource in slc for field trips, sports teams, and families. we visit every time we go to slc. museum part is free and can entertain for at least an hour.
My wife, daughter and I had an amazing time here. They have a lot of cool things to do and see here. Today was a rainy day, but we still found something indoors to do.
This free space museum was lovely! The theater was clean and comfortable. It isn't huge but the presentations are interesting and well organized. The littles would like to go again.
Great place for all ages. Movies are entertaining and the popcorn was delicious. Lots of hands on educational displays.
It's a great place and most of it is free!
Clark Planetarium is an awesome place! Great exibitions and experiments. I love the dome theatre, especially the explanations before each movie of what to see in the night sky.
This planetarium is great for kids and anyone interested in space and science. And it is free to get in! Great way for us to spend some time indoors out of the heat and have fun learning at the same time. You have to pay for the IMAX or Dome theater shows and we took in a 45 minute educational movie at the IMAX theater. Totally worth the ticket price. Also, the concession stand is amazing for the price of their snacks and foods. We bought popcorn for our movie and it's like so cheap compared to regular movie theater prices. Highly recommended a visit if you are in downtown Salt Lake City.
What it’s free?! To our pleasant surprise. Plenty things to see and exhibits for the kids to keep their hands busy. And don’t be afraid to stop for popcorn at the middle floor for a little snack. Super reasonable when you think about what you normally pay for theatre popcorn. Kids loved it. Will definitely go back.
Nice spot with many interactions and not for kids only!:)
I love the theater and IMAX, but the exhibits are just ok. Kids get bored quickly.
It was very interesting and full of facts, we went on a Saturday with a large group of teens, the group stayed involved and even talked later about what they learned. The only reason for taking the 5th star away is because my 2 kids are hands on learners and although they had a blast they wished they had had more hands-on exhibits.
We love going here and appreciate that it is free to walk around. The movies are also spectacular!
Lots of things to see and do for you and your kids..
Fun Free thing to do. Thought it was funner as a kid though.
+1 for unique demos +1 for quality planetarium show
I love this place, but today I got very disappointed on how bad customers were treated. I was in the line for a long time literally watching these 2 employees take forever to sell tickets and one of them was actually serving another employee and not customers. At some point a lady came and yelled at one of them and the line started to move. Too bad for an amazing place.
Fun place to take the kids, they love every minute of it. I haven't been here in a very long time and I am impressed with how much had changed since I was a kid. I also am glad they kept a few thing around that I remember back then.
We went to see The laser light show and it was amaze balls! Some of the graphics could have been better but the lasers were definitely every cat’s dream come true. I went home and told my cat all about it! (She didn’t come for obvious reasons.) In response she said, “Meow. Meow meow meow. Purrrrr.” Which translates to, “Dang. That sounds awesome. It makes me happy just thinking about it!” So yeah, even my cat was envious. We had a great time! I recommend it to all!
Amazing space facts to learn for all ages
I just love this place, my bf and I watched 2 shows yesterday...the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The dome theater is incredible. As for people complaining about prices..blows my mind. The afternoon shows are around $7..evening is $9..that is nothing for what they offer! I am more than happy to pay that price for the incredible films and great exhibits.
Had way more fun than I was expecting coming here. There is plenty of hands on exhibits and staff was really friendly.
This place is out of this world. Great for all lovers of sci-fi and space and fun enough for those that ain't. Best of all it's free admission except for the matinee which was reasonably priced. My kids didn't want to sit through a movie so we skipped it.
Many of the displays were not working, and staff was not helpful with our questions. Most all the items in the store are very overpriced, and can be found for much less online. Theatre was OK, but sound kept cracking; seemed like they did not have the volume adjusted correctly.
Very informative, interactive, and fun. I've been going here since I was a kid and I still love it!
Lots to do. With the exception of the shows, free. The Expedition Reef Dome show was rather boring. We had 5 in our group that ranged in ages from 9 and up. Not what we were expecting. Not worth it for us. The gift shop was closed when we were there. Would go back again. Snack bar staff very helpful and friendly! The guys setting up a new exhibit were awesome!
Super cute and FREE experience only the dome was a charge. Great info and lots of interactive options. Two levels and things all over. Nice gift shop w all sorts of options at every budget price point. If we were all not so hangry we would have stayed longer but we needed lunch.
So much fun! The kids I took loved the interactive exhibits, and I cant wait to come again on a date!
Always enjoy bringing my children here. They love it, I love it, we all love it.
This place is amazing for kids—my little 2-year-old loved seeing all of the scientific displays. It's very educational, fun, and interactive. Young teens and adults were seen enjoying themselves so this place is really good for all ages!
This place blew my mind. It may be small but the prices on snacks are amazing and the fact that it's free is just stellar. The gift shop has some awesome stuff. Great way to kill a good 30 minutes to an hour .
I really enjoyed wandering around the planetarium and it’s cool that it’s free! It’s not very big so it doesn’t take too long to see it all but there are shows you can see if you want to stay longer. As others have said, you do have to pay for the shows but everything, including drinks and popcorn, is WAY cheaper than a movie theater. I watched a 3D movie about engineering that was really interesting and I also saw a Led Zeppelin laser light show that I would highly recommend!
Small but nice. Loved their imax. Good movie selection. Seems like a nice place to go with kids of all ages. The souvenir shop is fun. Clean restrooms, friendly staff.
Awesome free experience for my family.
So fun!! My boyfriend and I came here while visiting the Gateway up in Salt Lake and had a great time! We went at about 4pm on a weekend, and it wasn't very crowded at all. Admission is free, and the shows are reasonably priced. All of the exhibits are really neat. I love how they've added more interactive exhibits and games. We stayed for maybe an hour and a half! Great place for families and date night.
I go to this place more then I like to admit. It is always a fun time and I always find something new to do while I'm there. I've viewed quite a few of their movies along with the various light shows which I highly recommend. You can also bring your kids here and enjoy all of the free exhibits. Fun for the whole family and you don't even have to spend money if you don't want to.
Went here for multiple field trips growing up and it's still as good as ever! Very fun place to learn new things!
Seriously an awesome place. It is free to walk around and has so many fun things to do and look at for free. The movies cost . The movies are educational and the workers give some good info before the film starts and are always willing to answer questions. They have a great gift shop and the prices aren't too bad. I think kids and adults of all ages would enjoy this place. There is a parking garage right next to it which makes it easy. I'm it sure what parking costs. Last time we went was a Sunday and it was free. They have a little food place but they o ly have a few things. Nachos popcorn, ice cream and pop. Not much else but there are restaurants around that you could go to if you wanted something more. This is a great place to take your family and essentially for free. Love it.
Amazing place. Tons of things to learn, and plenty of things to do. The movies are great, so are the dome shows (especially the laser shows). The new renovations look great and I love to hang out here whenever I get the chance.
Regardless of your age there is something to learn here. They have hours of activities for FREE! That deserves 5 stars by itself if you ask me. The staff is great and the dome is really neat too. It can get crowded but that's to be expected with something so cool and free.
Very cool place!
This was one of my favorite place to go as a kid. They have all sorts of cool things to do for both young kids and adults. My wife and I visited here a few days ago and enjoyed walking around learning about space. They also have all sorts of interactive games that are a lot of fun as well.
Enjoyed all the interactive displays. The IMAX and the Done theaters are great.
I didn't expect much from a free planetarium, but I was blown away by how cool and unique each exhibit was. There was stuff ranging from mist tornadoes to world saving video games and Mars Rovers you could control. I spent several hours here and would have spent more if I went to the IMAX theatre. Fantastic for kids, adults and astronauts! There's rotating events one a regular basis, coming back every few months for a new experience is a must!
Holy cow, this place is great! Every display is engaging! I wish it had a little bit better flow; the weather exhibits seemed thrown in randomly. And they could probably use some noise canceling foam on some of the walls, because it got LOUD. Other than that, we enjoyed our visit very much. My kid's favorite part was the Io room, with a surface like one of the moons of Jupiter, including being able to give a land rover commands, similar to the ones used by NASA. We were visiting Salt Lake for a week and went twice! So much fun, we will be back!
Free, educational and the exhibits are well done to explain complex things about space to not so smart people like me.
Very cool place. The best part is that it’s free!
Clark Planetarium is great to visit, especially with the free small exhibits. I’ll never get tired of seeing the laser shows, especially the Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon show. If you are on a budget with kids, this is probably the best place to go. I’ve been here countless times and I’ll probably continue to come. The parking is close by, so you won’t have to walk very far in order to get here.
Fun for the entire family
Love the displays on he first floor. Love the displays on the second floor. love the gift shop. Great theatres.
As adults, we like to come here yearly to catch a few of the suoer IMAX and Dome shows. I like how they get new titles and there are about 8+ titles to choose from! The one about the astronauts’ duties and how they view Earth was incredible. The show Impact in the Dome was informative. Nice meteorite collection!! Their rock laser shows at night have been entertaining...
I must have the nerdiest kids b/c this is where they always beg to go! Better this than the movies though. I'm glad the Salt Lake area has a place like this for them to learn about our universe.
My family loves this place! So many things to see and such a fun staff! The people in the gift shop are amazing!
So much fun! A great place to bring kiddos in this hot summer day. It is part learning and part play to get all their wiggles out.
Fun place for the kids!
Fun interactive experience! Most of the exhibits are free. Great for all ages.
We tried to buy tickets to see a 3:00 show at 3:02 and go in a little late and the staff member said that they wouldn’t do that. We asked if we could buy a later show and just see the one that we’re 2 minutes late for and she said that’s not possible either. Rude staff and weird rules.
Great Christmas laser show in the dome. Lots of new demos and things to do since we were here last. Would love to see more items at concessions. Real food like a mini Cafe.
Staff were super helpful, prices very reasonable! Enjoyed our experience immensely!
Easily the best planetarium I have ever been to and what's even better is that it's free
Great exhibits and interactive areas. Lots if fun for adults and kids... and grown up kids like myself.
Entrance is free to the public unless you want to see their awesome IMAX movies. They also have a concessions and gift shop. They have lots of exhibits and educational games all space related. It’s fun for kids of all ages. Everyone learns something and has opportunity to play. Great fun for the whole family!!!!
The planetarium was a fun experience for our kids (3 and 7 years). The parking was available in the parking garage next door. It was to our surprise that admission was free. The exhibits were interactive and nothing like I had seen before. They also had good samples of asteroids. It also featured a snack bar and fun gift shop. Highly recommend!
Great for kids and acquiring "eclipse-watching glasses" so you don't ruin your eyes looking at the sun. Like many of the museums around SLC I wish it were larger.
Was not overly impressed. A few interactive things to do, but mostly reading about meteorite pieces that have been found. My kids were bored.
