As of day this business has a rating of 4.4 stars out of 5 and this rating has been calculated on 65 reviews.

You may have noticed that it has an average rating is very positive, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can say that the evaluation is quite reliable. If people have bothered to evaluate when they are satisfied, it works.

REVIEWS OF BYU's Museum of Peoples and Cultures IN Utah

Larry Baxter

This museum is relatively small but full of treasures ranging from full-size dinosaur skeletons (that appear cramped in their quarters) to tiny fractures. Kids of all ages can put their heads in the jaws of a T rex and watch the mostly students working to free bones from the encrusted stones/mud.

Thomas Stanford

Alyssa Decker

Great museum and friendly staff. All the events have something for everyone.

Bob Cook

Hyrum Booth

Came in and was the only person there, which was maybe a sign. No one talked to me, and I was kinda confused by the exhibit.

Much more exciting than anticipated! We went during the Night at the Museums event and it was wonderful! They are doing lots of cool research and answered all our questions. I expected boredom but was left very pleased

A very, very small museum. But very helpful staff and great informative displays. They had a holiday FHE there with activities for the kids and a scavenger hunt around the museum. It was fun. Wouldn't go out of my way to visit, but in conjunction with the other BYU museums it's a worthwhile visit.

Robert Bischoff

Great exhibits and all run by students

Jonatan Lopez

They have interesting stuff related to different cultures.

The staff is invested in making your visit fun and memorable. The exhibits are interesting and rotate pretty regularly, so there's usually something new to see.

I used to work at this museum when I was in college, and it was great then, but it's even cooler now because the museum has moved to a new location and a bigger building with more room for amazing exhibits. Their current exhibit featuring nativities from around the world is just lovely. I also think this museum has some stellar date nights and family activity nights.

David Hoyt

Nick Stoddard

Small, but interesting, and worth a short visit.

Morgan Muhlestein

One word: small.

Hannah Faulconer

Small because it's created by students but has great events and exhibits

This is a tiny museum - an hour would be the max you would probably spend. That said - it was interesting, well organized and had a nice variety of displays. They were at different heights, which preschoolers enjoyed, and many had interactive features. There was a concept puzzle teaching children that not all pottery in archaeology will be complete, bead work, building pots with rings and coloring on pots with chalk. The section I described above was about an archaeological site in Mexico. The second section when we attended was about shoes. Both sections were fresh and creative in their approach, and informative about the topic, inviting viewers to connect on a variety of ways. The shoe display suggested building your own shoes and sharing them online to win prizes. I realize not everyone liked this museum but on this rainy day it was a fresh, fun spot to visit.

Brianna Selph

The museum has so many fun and family friendly activities . But there are also really great things to do for young single adults. The exhibits themselves are interesting and you learn while experiencing and doing things hands on. Amazing what the BYU archaeologists can do and what the students do to put on great exhibits.

Always a pleasure to see the hard work of the anthropology and archaeology departments. Paul is an amazing curator and director. The exhibits are always interesting and well done. Staff is knowledgable and committed to their craft.

Josie Newbold

This museum is a teaching museum in that students help to design and create the displays. This means that the exhibits are rotated regularly. The museum has a large collection of artifacts, so the exhibits often feature Mesoamerica, Southern Utah, and the ancient Near East. It is a fun museum and has activities geared towards people of all ages.

Very very very simple small museum. No creative exhibits really. Would be incredibly boring for almost all children and adults. Just a few artifacts in display cases. The only reason I'm not giving it one star is because it is very clean and it is free.

Raymond Griffin

My favorite part of this Museum is all of the events that they are constantly putting on for the public. It's a great chance to learn about different cultures from around the world.

Hayley F

Very interesting place to see, although my preschool age kids loved the thermal camera demonstration way more than looking at the displays of accurate, historical clothing worn by people long ago.

Chandler Smith

It's rather interesting, that's all I can say.
