We offer you all the reviews of real people who are using the services and products of American West Heritage Center (Museum) in Utah.
At this moment the firm gets a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5 and that rating was based on 583 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings that it reaches is almost the highest, and it is founded on a very high number of scores, so we can think that the score is very reliable. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they are pleased with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to give evaluations when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Museum is included in the category of Museum.
A family reunion at the livery stable was a great location. Beautiful view and interesting setting.
Has fun activities and events year round. My family always goes to baby animals in the spring and the Halloween activities in the fall.
Lots of well trained volunteers for big events like Baby Animal Days. They occasionally support local food banks by reducing rates by bringing a canned food item. We came to a wedding reception here and it was vintage and beautiful. We go to Baby Animal Days yearly. The lines are huge but it's still fun to expose the kids to real animals instead of the video game or screen kind!
Our children absolutely love the baby animals exhibits.
Once a year I find some kids to take each fall. Kids love the choo choo train, the ponies, the animals, the corn maze and other adventures offered.
Baby Animal Days is the best event ever! Every April, they bring in baby bears, turtles, and even a snake, then use their own calves, foals, ponies, chick, ducklings, and lambs to show the public all about animals. It is awesome, and u live being involved!
There are fun things to do and see. It is clean and well taken care of.
Awesome history here. Baby Animal Days is fun. Here is a picture of my 2nd great-grandma's stove!
Great atmosphere, awsome staff! Highly recommend it!
Really neat place. We came in the winter and it was technically "closed" but the docent let us wander through any way, so it was like our own personal museum! Lots of interesting exhibits and information even without the "living history" folks there working. Definitely worth the visit, and if we're there in the summer will definitely go back.
This ia a fantastic place. The staff and volunteers as super kind and helpful. I brought my kids for baby animal days and had a blast.
Lots of fun activities
They have so many different things that they do. Fun place to take the family.
Kids loved the pony rides, train rides, and straw bale slide.
Absolutely wonderful place to visit! Wonderful environment for families. Exceptionally friendly staff.
We loved it here. The staff were so very prepared for the amount of people that would be at the event we went too.
Went here for a wedding event. It was a pretty remote spot with lots of scenic beauty to take in.
Baby animal days was amazing! And the coordination for initially parking was well done. However, the time it took us to get out of the parking lot (from entering our vehicle) was almost an hour. Granted there were a lot of cars there, but our family that parked on the other side got out of there about 20 minutes before us and they originally parked after we did.
Pretty fun family fun day.
Family fun activities during the year. Buying stuff inside the building can leave a dent in your wallet. So be prepared.
If you're looking to turn back time, look no further than American West Heritage Center! Really gives a great look/feel of what living was like in the early 1900's.
A fun place to take your family. I have been there twice with my family and each time we have had a lot of fun and my kids learned a lot.
We go there every year and they do a stupendous job teaching our students about the farm and about pioneer life. We will continue to go as long as they are open.
Love this place. Lots to see and do if your into Historical Farming and animals.
It is a little pricey, but a great place to take the family during their events. Baby animal days is our favorite.
Is a neat place to visit and learn a little bit of history.
Really interesting demonstrations today and a fall festival with food trucks, a corn maze and a haunted hallow
Very impressed. Great atmosphere for kids and adults. The weather didn't help out the experience much, but other than that I have zero complaints, and I am a cheap-wad when it comes to spending money.
I went with my elementary aged kiddo on a field trip here. It was so much fun getting to explore living history with them! The kids got to see and learn so many things. I couldn't begin to tell you if they liked the pioneer kid's games, pulling hand carts, the woodwright, looms, candle making, or which of the various activities were their favorite. I just know we all loved it!
A beautiful center with wonderful ladies to assist you anyway they can
Waited 30 minutes after opening time for the haunted hollow to finally accept people in. There were probably about 10 actors total. Took us 15 minutes to go through, and we were even going slow enough that people were passing us. A huge waste of time and way too expensive for how short and not scary it was.
Always a great place to go. Very well taken care of.
fun
Fantastic place! Way fun and family friendly. The haunted hollow is a must, I've been coming for years and have never been disappointed.
I absolutely adore this place. I've worked there a couple times and now I'm holding an internship there and I've met so many new people and even made a whole bunch of animal friends! I would definitely recommend it, especially baby animal days, because even if the lines are long you get to hold the baby animals and it's such a fun and cool experience!
This was a fun and interactive experience. Looking forward to visiting again.
This facility is top notch. The staff is caring and informative about the operations and activities they offer, and the views of the mountains are excellent. I've now attended two work retreats here and they were both great experiences. Last year was getting up close to the Bison and this year was horseback riding. Excellent service and hospitality.
Beautiful place for a country wedding. I can’t comment on the exhibits since I have only ever come for a wedding. Staff was very accommodating to the wedding party and went out of their way to be helpful.
Love how this place feels. It take me back in time and I don't want to leave and go back to the rush or real life. My kids love it too.
I love the sense of community and friendliness when I visit. Everyone is so kind and helpful.
I was the DJ of a wedding at the Livery Stables on May 25, 2019. It was a great experience, plenty of room, clean facility, and it and it had a great rustic feel.
Cool place with lots of things to learn and see about first settlers.
This place is always fun to visit. The corn maze is always fun. Very unique every year and fun. The haunted trail is also very fun. Also do not miss baby animal days.
My brother's wedding reception was held here. It was beautiful and they had a horse and cart to bring people to the pavilion.
It was a fun place to take the kids. We kept all of them busy for a couple of hours and probably could have lasted longer! The woodshop has some beautiful, handmade stuff for sale and then also have some fun candy for sale! There are lots of animals to see, you can milk a cow, see the blacksmith shop along with real homes, kitchens, teepees, etc from the 1900s.
This place is great. We are here every year for baby animal days. It can be a little crowded at times but my kids beg to go all year. The facility are very clean and stroller accessible. The overflow for parking is in the fields and requires some walking but is well worth the quick walk.
This is an awesome site to learn about the past American West.
Fun place for the kids and family.
My family and I went to the corn maze. My children rode the train and the ponies. We had lots of fun. It is a great family friendly place.
Came on a school field trip. The children learned a lot of what life was like during pioneer times.
Baby Animal Days Review - Overall a pretty good experience. Lots of baby animals to see and a few to hold. Horse rides, wagon rides, and a train ride as well. This has gotten very popular the last few years. So the biggest problems are the long lines. If there were more attractions to spread out the visitors, that may help. We waited 30 minutes for the train ride and i saw lines for the hold a rabbit that was 30+ minutes long. My advice is to go early right when they open and avoid the weekend days(Friday, Saturday).
Awesome, historic place to visit with your family and see the animals!
Attended Baby Animal Days. Tons of fun! It is like going to a fair. Baby ducks and chicks you can hold, lambs and other babies to pet. They have cool displays, demonstrations, and games from pioneer times that are interesting.
The best family experience ever
My daughter was married here. The facilities are exactly what we expected, very clean and we'll kept. The staff were helpful and kind. All this made for a wonderful day and a great experience. I highly recommend this place for weddinds or for receptions or just to enjoy a day out.
We go here every year for the corn maze! A great place to be and a great family friendly environment!
Inside Museum was nice looked out the door to see the Buffalo grazing could not walk the distance for the outside activity
This is an awesome place to take your family!!
I went to their haunted hollow and their corn maze. The haunted hollow was spooky but not terrible and I don't do scary stuff. One thing to know if you are prone to swearing when scared or surprised watch your language on the haunted hollow if you swear too much they will escort you out no swearing is allowed.
A fun place to take your family.
Always love it here! Good educational opportunities, and lots of fun things like the corn maze and haunted hollow. Perfect family fun.
We love that kids three and under are free! Pony rides, train rides, panning for gold... So much fun for little kids.
Great agitourism location! Fun for all!
Such a fun place to take family especially when the fun events in the fall are going on and baby animal days. Also a cool place to get married, my friend got married there and it was beautiful!
Went for the Baby Animals exhibit. Kids loved it. The farm was fun and full of things to do
I really enjoy it there while visiting family. There was an event going on and my kids had a lot of fun
A good way for dem city folk to experience life before the suburbia takeover. Unless it's Halloween, then it's just spooky as hell.
You can come to the farm and see how the early pioneers built their homes and lived. Learn about the Indians in the Logan, Utah Valley. They have volunteers show you around and explain everything, it's so cool! You can rent the buildings for Wedding Receptions or parties or family reunions. It is a very cool place.
Very peaceful and good
Fun time for the family
A great place for the whole family that teaches the ways of the Old American West. They provide activities and camps for kids as well as activities for adults. One of our favorites is the Bison night which includes a Dutch oven dinner with original music played by some local cowboys. After the meal you take a hay ride to see a herd of Bison that live at the center. Highly recommended!
Fun place with very interesting historical information on Cache Valley. If you’re in the Logan area, would encourage a stop for a few hours. Learn to throw a tomahawk, play old-timey games, ride the train, and see some beautiful animals at the farm. Beautiful views of the mountain and Utah countryside. If you want 1:1 time, it’s best to come during the week but some exhibits may not be open. You can spend a few hours here but be aware you are walking the entire time (and wear sunscreen!).
We hated it eas the worst place to ever take a kid
We were there for a wedding and the venue was beautiful. Great help from the staff when needed and all of the guests enjoyed it.
Great place to learn about the history of the area & more. The staff where very friendly & engaging. There are all kinds of activities for everyone. The Byson ride was awesome. Up & close to these guys.
Baby Animals Day was such fun even in the rain and mud! We have been many times and my 4 year old loves the bison and all the reenactors. We also visit on non special occasions and the experience is wonderful. Helpful employees really make it a fun day out. And the setting can't be beat!
Great period structures, activities, and volunteers. Easy access from HWY 89. Train and pony rides. Crowded during Baby Animal Days, but much better the week after.
Baby Animal days is not to be missed!
There are amazing antiques and restored buildings. Fun family entertainment. Do not miss Baby Animal Days, in the spring, or corn maze and haunted Halloween in the fall. This cabin was found inside an old house, and donated to AWHC, by The Doolittle Family. What an amazing find!!
History is great
Great place to learn more about history
Had a great time this morning with Lydia myers, Prudence Myers, Jon Myers, and Kaisen Myers at baby animal days. Quite muddy and wet but enjoyed spending time with the family. Love you all. Thanks for inviting me to tag along.
Better see for yourself. funplace.
Each season brings some great activities at the American West Heritage Center. This fall we went to the Halloween festivities and found it to be perfect for our 10 & 11 year olds. We had some smaller cousins in tow and it was great for the 2 & 4 year olds as well. There were games, exhibits, corn maze, haunted hollow and more
We showed up at 3 and they close at five but everything was already shutdown and closed up early since they had a slow day. They never warned us and we only became aware after we had paid. It was not worth 7$ each to see a couple of peacocks. The customer service was awful as well. When we tried to go back and ask for a refund after we realized everything was closed early the lady at the front desk said well that’s too bad.
My kind of fun!
Amazing cultural center. I attended over summer couple weddings for close family..friends and heard AW were very eager to help and were an exceptional quality location. Btw the drivers ( wagon) were amazingly friendly and 1 very entertaining! I would commend all employees as very good but especially these drivers whose job can't always be easy. Wife and I might need discuss with someone about a future event! ;)
Good place to take anyone and you can learn a lot
I love feeling like I'm walking through history. From the old Stone buildings, to watching the blacksmith fire up the coals to melt down metal. Being able to get a taste of what life was like hundreds of years ago, is definitely good for the soul, and will give you appreciation for the historical culture
What a cool place. We’re so glad we visited during a recent trip to Logan and Utah State. Super family and kid friendly. Lots of folks around to provide information and talk you through the pioneers that settled in the Logan area and Cache Valley. I’m so glad that we went and very reasonably priced. We will be back.
Interesting and cool
This place is so cool! There are so many different kinds of animals here that I would not have expected
If you're into early Cache Valley settlers and native Americans this place is pretty interesting. There's a main office building with displays of tools and things early settlers, native Americans, and trappers would have used in their day to day lives. Very neat historic buildings are a short walk away with workers dressed for the time period to show you around and give you tours of the place. Very neat piece of history. It's $7 per adult which makes this a cheap way to take in some interesting history and have some fun.
I went through the corn maze and it was a lot of fun. I would recommend you take your kids next year for a fun family activity.
A really fun blast to the past!
We went for baby animal days, if you can get there earlier your experience will be better. Where your old shoes or mud boots.
Great place to take kids. Lots of fun activities and great events.
Fun for the family. Maze was entertaining for the little kids and the big ones.
Well, we were bummed. We got there around 3:45pm and everything was closing/closed up. Lady at the front desk said there would be plenty of things for our 3 year old to do... I’m sure that would be the case if they hadn’t closed things up well before 5pm. Even though they had closed everything up, no refund was given. So we paid for 3 adults and one child to walk around our side. The mountains looked nice though!
Took the kids to baby animal days here. It was very fun. We loved the train, baby turtles, and kettle corn. They also had bunnies, and baby bears, but the lines were very long. Still, it was a fun experience that we suggest. ☺️
We held a dance in the stable. Staff was helpful. Equipment was readily available. Plenty of options for power. Couples rode a wagon from parking lot. We had access to the building through a locked gate. It was great. Rest room facilities were great clean and accessible in the next building.
Big open outdoor venue. Main building has good restrooms and there's lots of cool old farming equipment and a historical house. Pathways could use some gravel to handle the mud and it was expensive considering all the sponsors.
We love coming here for Baby Amimal Days every spring! Always so much fun. I wish they had gravel on the paths though. Whenever it rains it's a muddy mess. So be sure to wear boots when you go!
Great family event! Kids loved the maze, the displays, the games. Great fun for the family!
Fun place for the kids. We go for parties and always have a good time.
Fun place for a family.
A great place to take the grandkids. Something for all ages Spring, Summer or Fall. Lastly, good prices too.
Wow, really well kept property and a working ranch. We got to see the bison herd. I LOVED that they had a working tractor from 1911 (I think) and a working model T Ford. So cool to see those actually being driven.
It's alright. I feel like it's overpriced givem what it is.
Love the baby animals! Hate the dust, mud, and skat. Please lay down more hay or put in more cement!
Great spot for adults and kids. Animals are neat and being able to play and touch them even better. Food is good and prices not to crazy. Staff was all very friendly
One of the best experiences of my life. Definitely will go there again. Love volunteering and being there and I love doing work for them
Nice place. Friendly staff. Although during baby animal days it's very muddy.
Really fun place for the kids. We went during fall so there was a corn maze, hay bale playground, and haunted hollow. They also had pony rides and they always have a little train going that the kids love. Great way to spend an afternoon. They also have bison which I think is really cool. You can watch them and have an amazing view of the Wellsville mountains at the same time.
My family had a wonderful time at The American West Heritage Center. The kids had a wonderful time visiting the pioneer village and getting to run through all the open space and enjoy the spectacular views of Cache valley. We visited at Halloween season when they had the corn maze, train ride, pony rides, hay bail slide, bouncy house, bee bee gun and tons of other events open. We literally tried every activity and had so much fun! The last part of our adventure was the pumpkin patch and each of our kiddos picked out a beautiful pumpkin and took some really great pictures with the photo op cartoon murals they had strategically placed through out the pumpkin patch. Our family had such a wonderful day here and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great time out in nature in a beautiful setting with lots of fun activities to partake in.
Very nice place and animals.
This place is amazing! It is jaw droppingly beautiful and the people running it are incredible. Events here are always great. I've had corporate events here before and they did not disappoint.
Such a fun place for the family!
Baby animal days is what gets me up on the morning. All year long, I wake up and think, "Is it worth it?" Then I remember a baby goat, the soft baby chicks, the muddy mud paths. It is worth it. For baby animal days.
Fun family outing for every age. Take a walk back in time to an industrious, yet simpler time.
Love going here and also have volunteered for almost 8 yrs!! Love it!
It is a beautiful place!
I loved it there eas something for everybody.
In Logan one of the really interesting places to visit. Both scenic and interesting. Great for learning much of Western history
Fun time
Love the American West Heritage Center! We visited this time for Baby Animal Days, but it is a great place to stop anytime. They bring the history of the West to life and preserve the memory of what those who came before us experienced here in Utah at it's birth. Thanks for the great events and keeping history alive!
Such a fun place. We got to pet and hold so many babies ❤️. There were baby pigs, sheep, goats, cows, chic's and ducklings!! I will definitely be coming back, so much fun. Also the price is great only $6 a person.
Fun place for Halloween and baby animal days. Etc.
Reasonable prices. Fun corn maze.
My wife and I always come here for the haunted hallow and the corn maze. The staff is very friendly. The landscape is beautiful. We always have a good time!
Wonderful experience. Everyone should come see the events. Especially the Haunted Hollow during October. It is frightening!!
This palace is really historic, and is a cool place to visit. They have activities almost year round with some of my favorites being baby animal days and the corn maze in the fall. I grew up coming here as a kid and it always brings back memories. They have activities for people of all ages and you are sure not to get board.
Darling little place, our small kids especially loved the train and pony rides!
Beautiful place to visit and so well kept up.
I was there for a wedding. The facilities are a little sparse, but adequate.
Great for kids.
Fun! The staff was awsome!
Great place perfect for the whole family
I enjoy going here, the site is in a scenic area. As a side note , a portion of the amount you spend on Amazon may be contributed here.
Gorgeous property, potentially an amazing venue for rustic weddings... so long as you are aware that this is more a historical site and not run by anyone who seems to have any experience in the hospitality industry. The actual venue locations are about 1/4 mile down a dirt road AFTER you pass through a coded gate. You are only allowed 4 cars at the actual venue...PERIOD. They provided a shuttle (horse and wagon or tractor and wagon depending on the weather) except that is only available from 30 minutes prior to the start time of the event and for a total solid 3 hour period. Prior to the start of my daughter's wedding they allowed us to shuttle the early guests but after the wedding was over they told us our 3 hours was up and we also were not allowed to be shuttling. Did I mention it was raining buckets and it was getting dark at that point. While we were trying to work with them with regards to a shuttle many of our guests gave up and walked back to the parking lot in the rain and mud (grandmothers in their Sunday best). The venue staff threatened us that if we insisted on using our own vehicle to shuttle that they would keep our deposit...screw it I guess... so count on not getting your deposit back. Also... months prior to the wedding they gave away my daughter's reservation and we ended up having to reprint all of her save - the - dates... that was expensive and irritating. Another time we drive up (2 hours) you meet with the person in charge of the event coordinating to view the venue again and make last minute adjustments to our plans and that person had "forgotten" about our scheduled appointment... nobody else there had any information and could not assist us. The venue is amazingly picturesque and was far less expensive than all other similar venues that we found in the state. That being said, you get what you pay for.
Beautiful property, good amenaties...could be an amazing venue for special events... that being said, we just rented the Livary for my daughter's wedding and I wound not recommend this as a venue without a very detailed list of things to be aware of. Pros: Beautiful property, very affordable pricing, plenty of bathrooms for a 100 guest event, lots of power outlets, they provide tables and chairs. Cons: disorganized staff (gave away my daughter's reserved day, failed to show for meetings that they scheduled). Not very friendly staff...arrived for the event and the only person working the main building had no information, couldn't guide the set up crew to where they needed to be. Set up crew arrived in 5 vehicles that all were filled with decorations, sound equipment and food... were told only 4 vehicles allowed back...okay...we'll shuttle...nope, they didn't want that either...they will provide a shuttle...but won't start doing that until 2:30 (it's 11 am)... extremely difficult to deal with on the day of the wedding and pretty much ruined the last hour of the event by harrassing us about the two extra vehicles that had made their way in because of the pouring rain needing to get guests wearing dress clothes to the building which is some distance into the property down a very muddy road. We pretty much had to boot our guests out at 6:00 because the staff was being extremely difficult. It seemed very much like they were happy to rent their space so long as there aren't people to deal with. They need to decide if they are going to be an event venue or a historical site...because event venues need to be focused on hospitality and I didn't experience any of that.
It is a fun place to go with your family or on a. Date
We came out to baby animal days and everything was so great! Very muddy because of all the rain so be prepared if heading out on a rainy day!
Baby Animal Days! We had so much fun! We went during spring break though and the lines were really long
Such a terrific field trip for our kids. I'd say that children as young as 5 and as old as 12 can really benefit from this trip. We had the tour that covered life in the early 1800's--blacksmithing, small house and huge stove, cold cellar, summer kitchen, milking a cow, separating the wheat from the chaff, and more. So cool to experience!
Always a good time for the family
Love baby animal days - corn maze and fall activities are always cute and fun for the whole family.
Baby animal days was the funnest thing I've ever volunteered for. Look at that punum!
Great place to bring the family! We love baby animal days and farm days. Expect some waiting in lines for almost everything! But that is to be expected. I try and go to farm days after baby animal days so there are less people. Just a thought for others.
So many animals and really cool history
Great old place.
Baby animal days rocks! Everyone goes so there are lines but kids love it and it is fun!!
Could not help me with transaction
Well, we were quite disappointed. We went to the cowboy rendezvous and payed for 2 adults ($12) to walk around and see maybe 5 of the 'old timey' booths, Half of which the people running the booths were not at them and were away eating lunch and 2 of the buildings were closed that you could go in. I feel like if you pay $12 to get in you should atleast have people there to teach, demonstrate and talk to you about the old west. Kids were bored and disappointed. Feel like it should have been a 'donations appreciated' not a $6 admission fee.
It is free up to the welcome center, and you can also walk out to see the bison. If you want to see more, you need to pay to go through. They also are available to rent for weddings and family reunions. They are popular during baby animal days in the Spring...
Such a cute and fun place for anyone!
This was great loved seeing all the animals to my son
