REVIEWS OF The DoSeum IN Texas

Anthony Bishop

Great place for kids, they have stuff to do for every age, though not as much for really little ones (0-1). The membership is a great deal, we bring our 10mo hear several days a week and she loves it.

Margaret Rose

Absolutely LOVE the DoSeum! This is a great children's museum and I personally really enjoy their adult events as well. Recently, I went to the Fall ReDo and it was so fun! The only thing I wished was that it was longer! I didn't feel like I got to experience everything they had.

Christina Sparrow

We brought my 2 yr old and 6 yr old to the DoSeum and we all had a blast! So many great activities to do and fun places for them to explore. Everything was very clean even though it was a very busy weekend. Every worker that we interacted with seemed to be enjoying their job and happy to help. The pricing was low considering all the activities there were to offer, even the food inside. Perfect for youngsters and their family!

Elliot Gonzalez

My kids had a blast! Very fun and interactive for the kids. I have a 3 and a 9 year old. They both had a blast!

Gina Woodward

Great exhibits, but insanely crowded to the point that we weren't able to enjoy most activities.

FaZe Blaise

I had a great time here with my grandma! We did all the stuff there and we had a blast! Keep up the good work! :)

Zelisa Guerrero

Highly recommend!! Took my 1 and 3 year old for the first time. We spent over 3 hours of endless fun and we didn't even visit everything!!! My kids absolutely loved bring there and were all smiles the whole time we were there. We will definitely be returning in the near future!

m Bee

We love this place. The outside space, the changing exhibits, the parking, etc. All good. Thanks for making great place for kids to play and learn. Just use the hand sanitizer between displays or you might end up getting sick every time you go there.

Neil Sinha

We have a family membership which gives free admission for a year for the price of about three tickets. It's a very cost effective way to keep five kids engaged, creative and learning. They move around, try out physics experiments (even if they don't know it), and have a generally active, enriching experience.

Mike Richards

3 stars because my kids liked it. Completely stupid that parents need to pay the high admission also. Next time we will look elsewhere for this sort of “fix”.

Alexia Finotello

We had a great time at the DoSeum when we took a family vacation in San Antonio. The Little Town for kids under 5 was a lot of fun for my 18 month old. The activities for older kids he enjoyed too but mostly because he got to run around. The outdoor play areas and tree house were an excellent place to burn off some energy. As a parent I enjoyed all the learning exhibits. My only issue was there were a lot of kids over 5 in the Little Town (this isn't free babysitting folks) and a few large bolts in the outdoor area that should have been covered for safety reasons. I read that some parents didn't like having to pay $12 for an 18 month old, but for me the DoSeum was cheaper for the 3 of us than for 1 adult at a Zoo or Aquarium. The DoSeum is well worth the price of admission.

Kevin McCallister

This place was awesome!! I got my neighbors down the street to take me one Saturday morning. There were a lot of neat things to do within the museum itself, and I could've stayed for the rest of the day, but my two neighbors had to go pick their van up from the shop..

Daniel LaFon

Came here on a rainy day week before Christmas. Some what busy but plenty of room for everyone; never felt crowded. Multiple levels; inside and out. Easy to get around even with a stroller for the baby. There was also a private room for nursing mothers if they want it. Parking is free! Has a lot of wow factors for the kids! Interactive, clean, educational, and lots of fun!

Wil Hardiman

This is a fun way to spend time with your family.

Kevin Prince

Had a wonderful time here with my three year old Daughter. The DoSeum is a great interactive learning facility where she learned about wind ,lights, and hydrology and more. She loved it, and her favorite part I think was the mini town.

Rachel Groves

Amazing hands on fun for the kids & adults! Wish this place could be replicated in Orlando!

Gino Montalvo

Up in SA for the weekend while my super hot and smart appraiser wife @anipiem attends the first Annual Appraiser first and me and the kids had some time to kill. So we went over to the Doseum and man we had a blast!!! EVERYTHING is hands on for the kids and they have stuff for ALL ages. Our kids freaking loved it, 3.5 hours went by in a flash. If you’re in the area we highly recommend this place. They did an awesome job! ❤️

Sabrina Jordan

Loved this place for my girls (3 & 1 yr olds) they had so much fun and the Little People place was amazing and just right for them. They were completely overwhelmed with so much to do. The place is reasonable but the Cafe was a horrible pick! It's way to posh they had no kid friendly items. Especially for my lactose and non peanut butter eater! Just stick with the basics. Hot dogs & chips or a simple hamburger. Also the place ran out of everything. So that really sucked. Other than the food being an issue we had a lot of fun. Which is why I'm only giving it 3 stars.

Rhonda Huffman

So much fun and many things for the children to interact with. Great activities for the whole family!

Anindita Gupta

This place is beautiful. They have very good scientific activities. It’s hard for little children to understand all by themselves. Parents can explain how to use their simple machines. My 5year old loved the place. For my 2yr old water plays, Underwater room, shadows were very fascinating. I would love to visit that place again. Only thing I missed an outdoor slides/ swing set for my 2yr old.

Jeff Mullinax

More exhibits than not did not work. $70 to get in and the exhibits should at least work. We were there about an hour and the kids were bored.

Angela Mitchell

Kids (8 and 6) spent 5 hours here!!! 6yr old says EVERYTHING was a favorite. 8yr old’s favorite if forced to pick was The Spy Academy, but also enjoyed getting hands (entire body, really) on everything! $14 a ticket. Best money spent.

Barbara McClain

Great activities for all age groups! Enough to keep us busy on a weekly basis. And the staff are very friendly and great with kids.

R L

This place is absolutely amazing. Well worth the membership if you have a child under 12. HEB sponsors free nights on the first and third Tuesday if you want to check the place out for free.

Sha De Los Santos

We took our daughter here and let me say she had the most awesome time here. They have soo much for the kid to do and learn from. This is a good for the kid and parents. We most definitely will come here again. All though the price is a little bit much for the small kids. They should consider lowering the price for kids that are 2 and under. There ticket should not cost the same as an adult ticket.

Charlotte Kelly

The kiddos love the Doseum! They are great about bringing in new and interesting exhibits, there is indoor and outdoor play areas, every exhibit can accommodate children of all ages. It is really one of the best children's museums we have experienced. The only con was that there seems like there are times where they can't keep up with the repairs and the exhibits all have something broken. But I still give it five stars because that has been the case at every children's museum we've been to. I think they all underestimate how easily children can break things!

Brenda Robertson

We loved this museum! We stayed in San Antonio for 6 nights. On the way to San Antonio we stopped at the Houston children’s museum. We were highly disappointed. It was expensive and my kids didn’t enjoy it very much at all. This children’s museum was way better than Houston. I have three children ages 7, 4, & 12 months. We loved the small area for the smaller kids. My daughter (4) loved the grocery store! My 12 month old really enjoyed me pushing him around in the little tyke cars!! They even let my 7 year old in there to play as long as he played gentle and watched out for little ones. The outside play area was really nice to. I only have a few complaints. One was that there was no museum employee outside. There was a field trip group of kids from some Heights school that were absolutely ridiculous. One even claimed up a museum wall that wasn’t part of the play area. I would highly recommend this museum. We haven’t taken our kids to many museums in different states I would say besides ours where we live this is their favorite!!!!

susana joseph

I love this place is awesome.

Johnson Wu

Pretty much similar to Children's museum. Kids from 3 of our families enjoyed their fun time here on the weekend after Thanksgiving. There is a simple bakery shop if you need quick bite. Lot's of different themes for kids to be creative with, there are also 2 outdoor area to have fun if kids love climbing and running. Couple of party room for hosting birthday for kids.

Selena Hidalgo

We have a membership to the Doseum and usually it’s great but today it seemed like hardly anything in the light and sound section was working.

Helen Ingle

Great place! Took my 5 yr old granddaughter. Appreciate the FREE day. Appreciate the volunteers! They are awesome!

Cindy Borrego

Alway come here with my kids. A wonderful place. I even in the baby class they have there a great way to have your kids know school is going to be like when the big day come its a big help. Thank you.

Paul Brister

I had no idea that this place existed. Took the grand here and she had a blast. This will become our thing.

Ernest Aguilar

My son loves it, so we keep renewing our membership. Keep up the great work!!

brijesh menon

Best place for growing kids to play and learn

Matthew Schuepbach

The water stuff wasn’t even working. They have two little spots for kids my daughters age everything else was definitely for older kids

Heather Bonilla

Great place but price jumped higher than last time I was here. Drastically so probably my last time coming. But still great to do at least once

Rachel Clem

This is a great hands on, learning through play, children's museum. My 4 and 6 year old love to come here and my 17 month old is learning to love it too. My 6 year old son wanted to come here for his birthday and is never ready to leave. Playing here trumps eating for my kids, which is saying A LOT.

Lisa Bee

Amazing! So many fun things to see for all ages. We used our benefit as a member of a different museum to receive free entry as part of the ASTC Travel Passport Program. If I lived in this area I would absolutely get a membership here. There was a good amount of people but there seemed to be plenty of things for everyone to play with so you don’t have a lot of waiting around time. Worst part was leaving!

Yamileth Guerrero

So cool, you have indoor and outdoor activities! We spend easy 4 hours here and will come back. 1 years old have to pay, but they enjoy a lot there too. Great place for any day of the year!

Liz Martin

A lot to do! Very fun for kids.

Heather Moore

You have to pay full price for a 1 year old yet there is virtually NOTHING for a 1-2 year old to do. It's a great place for older kids that can take the time to figure out what each station does but for younger kids I wouldn't suggest it. It does have some cool outdoor water places to play at though.

Keli Jamison

We have a 2yo little boy and he loved so many things, the little people area was a huge hit with the little grocery store, air plane, fork lift, and so much more. Then the area with the balls that you put through holes and then they shoot through tubes. He stayed in there for at least 30 minutes. There were a ton of older kids but he didn't care. Definitely a large variety of things both young children and older teenagers plus adults enjoy themselves too. The outdoor water area is very nice. The cafe has a nice healthy variety of food, from panini sandwiches, to a quinoa cranberry salad, tomato basil soup, and more. The outdoor jungle gym was a huge hit with my little monkey. We loved it and hope to come back when we are in town.

Edgar Benavides

Had a birthday party for my little girl. Kids had a lot of fun. Many activities for them. Terrible hostess we saw them once and they disappeared. We spent over $400 for lousy service we felt rushed to do everything. Never again will we have a birthday party there.

Molly Hoffman

I like the museum it is fun to look at stuff and go to the kids area I had so much fun there If you know that this was fun you will go there Please it’s fun

Jerri Martinez

My daughter stayed busy the whole time. Loved how the kids can learn , have fun , & be hands on with everything. There was also a play areas for my 7 month old. He loved it. The staff was very friendly. I was also very excited about them having a very comfortable nursing room. I will definitely bring the kids back next time we are in town!

J M

Im sorry but this place is not all that fun it is educational some parents will dread this place i don't think 9 and up years of age will be to enthused it's to expensive and really not exciting schools bring the kids here for field trips let the school bring the kids and save your money you wont be missing nothing

Heather Ramsey

The activities are great for little ones, but the food definitely is not. If you have picky eaters, plan to eat elsewhere.

Antonio Valcarcel

Went today. We've been looking forward to visiting for a while but they had a special New year's event that required they close the entire facility. Be aware of special events. We were very disappointed to find a police officer at the door turning multiple families away (respectfully). Thankfully the Witte Museum is just down the street. We just didn't expect a kids museum to do this.

Kaelyn's Mom

I love the Doseum itself. Facility is great for children with so many interactive exhibits. Unfortunately, after spending 3 hours there we came out to find our truck was stolen. To be told by security there's no cameras, it was the 3rd vehicle that week taken and that another vehicle break-in occurred the very same day... We won't be back. You would think an establishment of this magnitude would place cameras or security in the parking lot full-time.

Tara Johnson

My daughter is one and we love this place!! Most of it is geared towards older kiddos, but there is still plenty for us to do.

Amanda Vlcek

This place is great for kids to explore and really have a great time, there are lots of areas for many different types of sensory play. We really enjoyed it, and you can spend a lot of time here without getting bored. The sounds area is super fun and hands on, and the light room is very cool. The little land where kids can explore miniature versions of grocery stores and planes, etc ie very neat. The bubble area outside was awesome. My one complaint is the children from the field trips need far better supervision, they are very rough around younger children. I have been to other children's museums and not only do the field trips have the teacher, and parents, but a designated museum staff member to help enforce museum rules, like not running. Seriously if one of the bigger kids runs into a little kid they could get a concussion! I understand that the doseum is inclusive of all children's ages and abilities, but it needs to do a better job of protecting all of its patrons.

Debby A

Fun for all ages. There's even a snack bar with a hand washing station!

Esmeralda Araiza

Wow such a cool place to play with your kids! There is so much to do and see and the staff is so friendly and attentive. And the store! Such a cool place to buy unique gifts for kids and adults! Love The DoSeum and will be coming back soon! 10/10 would recommend to all families.

Eric Garcia

Just read what I believe to be an accurate review, "pretty cool place, but everyone there is small and loud." Too funny. Go with an open mind. Be sure to include the little ones. Bring patience. Keep your wits about you, its an awesome place that is obviously designed for children. Enjoy the experience. Remember if you know anything, its that you know nothing. Learn something! Especially from the small loud ones*

The Doseum WAS a beautifully crafted museum--when it first opened! I got seasonal passes, it was pricey but I loved the new museum! I did not renew my pass and when I had gone back to visit the museum it was not the same! The toys were not well kept- the area where the toddlers play-the sign specifically says (do not wear shoes) is ignored! All the parents wore their shoes in there it's so irritating that grown adults can't follow a simple rule. Then children can't play because a bunch a adults block the way because they're just standing in everyone's way because their gossiping. The front employees were the worst too, I waited to pay and there was three people standing there talking. So I had to wait on the one employee ringing customers. Parking is limited, forcing you to get there early if not, be prepared to wait for a space. If the employees aren't going to upkeep the museum and the exhibits in them, this will just be another dirty place no one will want to pay to get in. Austin's children museums probably get more visitors and their museums are kept up--even enforcing the rule to taking off your shoes!!! We should be capable of doing the same and having the same respect for the kids. I do not plan on going back.

Alicia W

Oh, gosh this place is just great. We went at around 9:30 am on a Thursday with twin 2 (almost 3) year olds and while a lot of the areas were for older children, they had a TON of fun! We bought a membership right away, and I'm so glad we did! I really recommend this place very highly! The pictures are from just one area which encourages pretend play. There's so much to do and discover!

Joseph Cruz

I have to start off by saying I am totally impressed with this place. My kids had so much fun. I definitely would recommend this to anyone that has children. They have a music room. They have Bubble area. They have a water area. They have so many different areas it's unbelievable. Your kids will fall in love with it and want to come back over and over again. I strongly suggest you buy a season pass. If you come back at least two times it's paid for. It looks like they had a food area but we were too late to try it. But we got a season pass so we will be back. More to come.

Brian Pridemore

Great place for kids to learn and play. Although we didn't get to explore much outside of little town, I did get to see that there were many activities in the Doseum that are fun and educational. The little town is spectacular. It's a toddler sized version of HEB, Whataburger, Veterinarians office, bank, airport, and much more. The only gripe I have is that an unopened bottle of orange juice got taken from out of the external pockets of my daughter's backpack. I had asked a woman who was sitting close to it if she had seen it fall out by chance and she had told me, "that she saw an employee take it and walk off with it." I asked the employee I saw in there but he claimed not to have seen anything. At any rate it was a fun place just keep your bottles of O.J. close to you.

Erika Jones

Great place to let kids run around and explore! My two year old had a blast! (Till he fell asleep from exhaustion.) Stroller friendly and clean atmosphere made for a great visit!

Erika Lozoya

Great place for the kids and when the weather is good outdoor play can keep them entertained for hours, Parking is limited though so I suggest getting here early

Brady Lorenc

Very fun for the kids! They had a great variety of interesting activities for young kids.

Jesushuy gyy Rodriguez

Great fun place for kids. The outside park area is not childproofed the way we thought it'd be. My kids were able to sneak through a crack in between 2 gates and get to an unsafe area that i could not get through myself. Scared me out of my mind! As this happened as quick as it did the 2 security officers just stood inside the building watching as it happened and came out as soon as i was able to retrieve my 2 kids with help from another parent. This needs to be fixed today. Very dangerous and unsafe especially for smaller children outside until that problem is addressed. Upset mostly at how the 2 officers just watched from inside without quickly reaponding to help.

Daniel

It's great, it really is.. But their maintenance is just horrible. To the people in charge- Please make sure things are working.. Most activities our 2 y/o could do and enjoy were broken or only partially functioning. Most notably, the "ball room" and the outside bubbles area, but several other activities as well. You should probably be testing each one individually, because it's not always obvious until you try to use them. Honestly, it felt more like a run-down Chick E Cheese, and certainly not worth the price of admission. This isn't a place I'd suggest bringing young children (3 or under) until their maintenance issues are addressed.

Tc axtell

Great place to take the family if you have young kids. Family 5 cost us 70 just to get in in and we spent 3 plus hours within. They have a friendly staff who have A hands off approach. Its It's worth the money I assure you.

Cindy Perez

The museum itself is amazing..my children enjoyed themselves. There was only one issue that really upset me. We arrived early and were waiting outside. It was 5 minutes till they opened and my son needed to go to the restroom, so I kindly asked a gentleman that was outside receiving some children for some summer camps if I could take my son to the restroom. He went inside to ask, and I was told to take him to the Taco Cabana next door. That made me so upset. When they did open I asked to speak to someone and I was told they were sorry but because they were not open yet and they had money in the registers. Come on...they could have walked me to the restroom and back to the door...that wouldn't have bothered me. But to direct me to go to a business next door that is just really really bad customer service.

Jennifer Beelitz

This place is amazing. We spent all day here (mom with a 4 & 5 year old). 2 large outdoor play areas. Lots of fun to be had for both young & older kids. Education & play all at the same time. About 2 miles from downtown San Antonio. Cost $14/person. No outside food or drinks allowed inside, but they do have a small Cafe inside. If I lived here, we would definitely be members. The best children's museum I've been to. Clean. Helpful staff.

AutismMom Giselle

This place is awesome! Have 4 children under the age of 5. 2 of which are on the spectrum and they all quite enjoy this place. It is a very physical place and just remember that the people are not there to watch your kids! Lots to do for the brainy and the sporty. With tickets ONLY under $20 a pop this is a winner for me. Membership pays out!

Abigail Aquino

Lots of interactive things for all ages

Catherine Kinkead

It’s not that it isn’t a great place to take the kids, it is! My little girl had a fantastic afternoon there, twice this week! I may plan to revisit on her birthday. On my first visit when taking my daughter to the infant play room and other rooms (music) I noticed NONE of the electrical sockets have covers and as little ones do, they like to put their fingers in such things! I, in fact rescued another child from nearly being electrocuted because of this! What really got me on the second visit when checking into the Doseum, I mentioned this to the girl at the desk who just completely glazed over and gave a ditzy smile, with no concern or answer to what I was saying. I’m not sure if the Doseum takes child safety into consideration at all! So BEWARE!!! Considering you are running a museum for young children, I am surprised you don’t have your act together more with such simple things, especially in the infant areas!

Chelsea Cox

My three kids are ages 0-4 and they usually love it here! While I feel like it's meant for kids a bit on the older spectrum in some areas, my kids enjoy it when they go. Plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to roam around!

Terry Paez

Awesome way to show kids hands on what they can invent & create. My kids love this place, we spend all day exploring each fun section learning new things along the way.

Lemon Squeezy

Do not schedule this place for children’s parties. They have a background check policy and to screen your invited guests and they won’t be allowed entrance otherwise. It’s a very unhelpful, unwelcoming, and unfriendly policy. We waited in the Lobby for 15 minutes until I had to ask the help staff to go get someone from the party to let us in. Definitely would not recommend.

R Flores

Great museum for the little ones! You could spend more than half a day here, easily. Exhibits are well maintained, even though kids play with them every day. Staff were very helpful and entrance was free with our ASTC membership.

Robert Peña

The parking is a little tight, but it is not too bad. Once inside, there is a bunch of things for the kids to do and there is really something for the whole family to enjoy. I would recommend you allocate at least 4 hours to spend here if you really want to do everything.

Gabriella Fraire

Love the fact HEB sponsors Family Night! Free event every first Tuesday of every month. Helps out families that can't afford extra entertainment expenses for the kiddos . This place is AWESOME! I'm an adult and U enjoy it so much!

Briyoollo

Fun little place to take the kids. Your kids will have an awesome time, i recommend it for them. They even have a little room for nursing mommy’s it’s so nice with a rocking chair, dim lighting it’s just awesome... ❤️

George Mendez

Horribal parking! I let my family off in the front while I looked for parking, they went inside first, I went in once I found parking, the idiots at the front desk made my wear a green band and had to take my ID because I did not have …

Uriel Mendoza

Kids love this place, we went last month and they keep asking to go. My wife and I always learn something great going here! So lucky to have this in our city!

Carolyn

Recommend visiting over several trips to really enjoy fully. The camps are outstanding, and the rotating exhibits are always impressive.

Rebecca Smith

The DoSeum exceeded my expectations in every way. There are so many wonderful exhibits, and we had the most lovely day there.

Pam Daley

What a great place! We were a little taken aback upon arriving and learning we could not go in without a kid. We were meeting our daughter and grandkids there, so had to call them up to the front to vouch for us. Awesome exhibits, so many hands-on experiences - definitely lives up to the "do' part of the name.

Kathleen Iniego

My daughter doesn’t want to leave. She had so much fun and loved the place very much. Will definitely come back.

Elli Withrow

The best kid's museum I have ever been to. My husband and I enjoyed it as much as our children did. The little town was very cool for littles (mine is 5) and the Spy academy had my 9 year old on cloud 9. ((My only qualm is the lack of instruction/help in the light and sound area as some of the stations either didn't work or weren't clear on how to operate them.))

Donald Maul

Went on a Monday in July and was not terribly busy. It is definitely worth getting there early in the morning as it does get busier later. By starting at 9:30 we got through everything by about 13:00. There are some areas that need some work, most specifically the outdoor water area. The water area had several features not working. My 3 year old daughter and 6 year old niece didnt notice, but adults will (and the kids did notice when they would play with switches that did nothing). Overall it was a good experience but would not be in a rush to go back.

Eugene Martinez

Perfect spot to bring the kids. Brings out there creativity, good spot to find out what interests them. Gives you a chance to really bond with your children. Will definitely be bringing my kids back here!!!

Wes Henderson

My 2 year old absolutely loves the DoSeum! All of their exhibits are interactive and they have activities that are appropriate for any age. It definitely merits multiple visits.

Sunny Cho

My 4 and 2 year old boys had lots of fun. A great place for young children to have fun in educational ways. Not just seeing things, my kids were able to do lots of hands-on activities. Highly recommend this place.

E zen

I brought my son here for his birthday. He loved it!! He had so much fun!

Firoj Shaikh

I showed up to meet my wife and daughter. In the past it's been my wife who comes to meet us, and has never been a problem for her to enter the property with out a child. Today when I tried to do the same thing I was told they'd have to come get me because I'm a security threat to the children. That our I'd need to complete a background check. I've been a paid member here for 2yrs, never been insulted like this before. Tried calling my wife but it's no surprise she didn't answer, SHE'S WRANGLING 3 CHILDREN! This bias is moronic. Why has my wife never been treated like this when she does the exact same thing?

alma salinas

Highly recommend The DoSeum for all the little ones! We throughly enjoyed the miniature HEB store located inside! My kiddo enjoyed stacking up food and running it through the register! I wish I lived closer so I can take him more often. There was plenty of interactive and fun activities for children of different ages!

Jade Briant

Amazing thing to do with the kids. They enjoyed everything!

Steph Andrade

Bank of America card holders if you come the first weekend of each month the card holder is free! Ive been here a couple times, we always have a great time! I have a 5 year old and a 1 year old. Very entertaining for both. I love this place, Not to say it is seriously over priced. My husband two kids and myself $50+. Getting the membership sure pays off!

Ben The Hyper Play Roblox School Drills And More

On the April 30 2019 Tuesday Mireles elementary school is having a field trip

Mitchell Tindol

A lot of stuff was broken or missing supplies. The best room was probably the air room on the second floor, my son did enjoy that. So many screaming kids to top it off..

Jazzma Burgess

If you have not been to adult night, you need to try it. Prices have gone up a lot since they started, but it's worth it. 21 and up. Booze included. What's more fun than doing child like activities with intoxicated adults? They have a webpage and FB page for adult night. Check it out.

Paul L

Great place for my kid and great place to stay out of the heat. Lots of rooms for place. There is a little town for the young ones. I'd say.if they can walk, they will find something to do. A lot of the rooms work for some older kids too including building things in the robot rooms. There is a small cafe inside to grab some snacks. I wouldn't count on it as the only source of food but it works in a pinch. We're members so we go here constantly.

JRB

I stopped here while on vacation with my 8 year old due to the reviews. However after paying, every exhibit we went to, she felt it was for babies and didn’t have any interest. I think this place is more suited for those with children under 5.

chingy98

Everyone loves this place. The breadth of activities for kids for all ages is fantastic. Downstairs has a mock supermarket and vet clinic where the kids run around grabbing stuff, and the lovely staff then puts the items back to keep it …

Pinaki Ghosh

It is a fabulous place for kids - there are 40 to 50 hands on things to do and many more My daughter loved it - I wish there are few more things about robotics and controls. The. Price is not too high and you can spwnd the whole day ezploring the 2 floors. The restaurant is also reasonably priced. The store is fabulous.

Some fun stuff here. Probably better for younger kids (3-10?) Wish there had been more explanations, or a staff member you could ask about some of the stations. On the periscope station, for example, the lable for the viewer was on the backside, facing the wall, where you can't see it. Two adults and two kids tried to figure out what to do, had minor success, but better directions or a person to answer questions would've been great. A lot of stations like that. We had an 11-year old into science, and she wanted more "why does that happen?" explanations. Highlights included the robot cars, parts of the sound room, parts of the outside water stations, the air tubes. Some stations weren't functioning well. $15 a head seemed a little high for the experience. A lot of potential here. And, again, probably more enjoyable for younger kids.

Sabrina Campos

Went for a school field trip I could honestly say it wasn't what I was expecting some things were not fun to play more of kids have to read and follow directions I wouldn't go again that's for sure, but the plus side we did live all the outside play stations they had

Wanted a fun experience for my 10 and 13 year old grandchildren and the DoSeum far exceeded our expectations in all regards. The activities were creatively organized into inviting 'rooms' full of challenging but well defined tasks for all ages. Just when you thought you had seen everything on the two floors inside, then it was time to explore all the outside activites. The staff are amazing: ready to help and encourage, only if needed, without hovering. We had a quick lunch in the little cafe and the food was freshly prepared, good tasting, and reasonably priced. Be sure to allow plenty of time: we were there over 4 hours with only a brief break for lunch, and the kids were still finding more to do and reluctant to leave! It was truly the highlight of our kids' trip to San Antonio! One note, apparently, according to staff, GPS will take you to the staff parking lot and not the main entrance which is around the block, and the actual parking is a little hidden but large enough to accommodate many vehicles.

Six stars!! Kids spent seven hrs here! Five ours and the. Another two after work. It kept them thoueougly entertained and learning. They were exauhsted and took a great afternoon nap. Lots of creative ideas and things for them to touch and feel! It is a must for young kids < 11!

I'm a member and let's just say I will not be renewing my patronage to the Doseum. Some aspects of the place are a lot of fun. Others are downright disappointing. I actively try to get my kids to go other places. Many of the areas once broken or damaged stay that way for months at ago time. (Spy area hidden door for example.) The ball room is a huge attraction but it almost always has balls stuck, blowers broken, or just in I'll repair. Mostly, I think it was ill designed with adults not children in mind. Also the area where you can make floating/gliding objects is awesome, however it is almost always covered in trash, I mean recycled building materials. You will also be hard pressed to find supplies to build with as the tape and scissors end up being taken to another area. Employees are few and far between and can most often be found socializing instead of keeping things maintained. The concept is beautiful and almost perfect, it's execution however is sorely lacking .

Great exhibits and fun for kids. Ignorance in the cafe though, where they sell no soft drinks, even diet, because “soda is bad”. YET they have root beer and juice and lemonade, all full sugar. Diabetics will have to drink water. No sugar-free drinks. They should probably consult a dietician with some credentials.

This place is amazing!!!! My kid couldn’t get enough. It’s great for all ages and there is a lot of variety. I love that there is a lot of staff members so the place always feels clean and organized. Don’t forget to visit the outdoor areas as well.... and bring a towel for the water fun area!

Niketh Saini

Doseum=Awesome for kids. We took our daughter and enjoyed to the core.. this place highly recommended.

Monica Dallas

Just amazing!!! Have 2 daughters (3 and 6). It is their favorite place!

Bryson Woods

Very Fun Electronics and cool Go Visit The Doseum!!!

Kristin Bitsis

My daughter is one and we love this place!! Most of it is geared towards older kiddos, but there is still plenty for us to do. The staff is always friendly!

W Barberena

Excellently organized. Very courteous amd knowledgable staff. Fantastic exhibits.

H. L

So worth it to take kids here! So much to do and great escape from the heat. Love the outdoor areas too. My kids loved the little stream area. Super fun for all of us.

I have been to the DoSeum before with my daughter and today was the first time back in a while. The first person we encountered upon entering was not smiling and very serious (similar to the service you get at a gas station) the Cashier.. I would probably recommend reconsidering who you have as the "face of your business" maybe someone with better customer service and friendlier attitude. The rates went up and alot of things were "closed" or unavailable due to summer camps going on. The visit itself was not that great today. Generally I like to leave positive reviews however I would avoid this place during the summer! We figured going in the early AM would be a plus.... we were wrong! Alot of the activities that should have been equipped with supplies to make items were EMPTY which takes away from the whole purpose of being at that center. I understand its a "kids museum" also but it was ridiculously crowded in various areas and parents seem to think its ok to let there kids run wild without proper supervision. There should be more reinforcement on making parents accountable for their children's behavior while @ the DoSeum to make it a pleasant experience for all. I am a parent myself so there are no excuses for not being able to control your children and have them act like civilized human beings with respect for others. My daughter is 4 and had more fun outside in the splash pad area as well as water table area (which was also lacking a decent amount of water) My husband and I regret our visit today as we could have saved ourselves almost $50.00 and had our daughter play with her own water table in the backyard for FREE. She did have fun which was the goal however for the price we paid I would say do your research and seek all other options to weigh out if the cost is worth your time. There are cheaper options for the younger kids elsewhere. The DoSeum is not what it used to be... I feel more people attend due to the "popularity of the name" and it being one of the only in San Antonio. We will not be returning unless we have an "event" to attend. It was disappointing seeing alot of things "unavailable" or"closed" due to "summer camps". They should have scheduled things better with days on this or offered discount rates due to some things being unavailable and also closing @ 4:00 today vs the time that is "posted".

Courtney Hill

This place is awesome! You need to prepare to spend several hours. We spent 2.5 and could've spent longer.. there is a splash pad so bring a change of clothes or a swimsuit for the kiddos. My kids loved the 5 and under area, detective area, and the upstairs.

Delnys Yaraure

Nice pace

Darby Jaynes

I was hesitant after reading some negative reviews, but after hearing raves from people I know personally, we decided to go. We went first thing on a Saturday morning. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but was getting there by time we left. I was so pleasantly surprised, my 3 year old had a blast! There was even some stuff for my 1 year old. My husband agreed, it was money well spent. We were there for about 2 hours, but you could easily stay much longer. Worth checking out for sure.

Larry Tellez

Love it here, fair warning though, parking is hell, and it gets crazy in there. Another thing this it's a DO seum. Your not supposed to go and not be lazy, this isn't a daycare where you chill. Be a REAL parent and interact with your child, be open to there curiosities, and keep up with them. You are not there for you, be there for them. And for 1-2 year olds, there is plenty, BUT YOU MUST INTERACT WITH YOUR KID. All you got to do is have fun, and if your there for your little one's, shouldn't be so hard. Food is pricey but was actually pretty good.

Karina Salinas

Absolutely awesome place to take the kids! My almost 2 year old had a lot of fun playing with the water outside. Note to parents, if your little one will get wet I recommend easy to dry shoes like crocks

Gil C

Fun and educational and CLEAN! interacive learning for children that encourages parents/adults to engage in the learning as well!

benjamin samudio

(07-06-18) We love this place. Parking is free. Get there early to have the place to your self. We had a great time. There is plenty to do for everyone young and old. Past the cashier's is the restrooms and kids exhibits. There is a giant kaleidoscope! Across the room is an elevator if you can't take the stairs to the second floor. Right next to the stairs is a small snack area to sit, eat and enjoy some drinks. Outside all can enjoy the tree house. A place to play with water. Take a small towel just in case. A play ground is available to wear down your kids. Lol. There is a fish pond with a couple of turtles. That place has a very comfortable feeling. You can sit down and zone out for a bit. Last is a small area to play with dirt. Buckets are available to fill the manual operated dirt equipment. We had a blast. Thank you Doseum.

The place is amazing. The staff need to work on how they talk to the teachers and scholars. They treated us like we were not even paying for the service rendered.

Heather Garcia

So many fun things to do with your kiddos. Can stay for an hour or all day, my kids never get board. We came for the first time and ended up purchasing a membership. Perfect place for a really hot or rainy day!

emily larsen

Pretty cool place, but everyone there is small and loud.

angela chesnutt

Fun place to take the kiddos! My grandchildren had a blast! I had a blast!

Jennifer Pozos

I loved our visit. It was full of kids but enough room for everyone and enough things to do to keep the kids occupied. I especially liked that they had a soft play area specifically for little babies.

Agnes Wong

An extremely wonderful place for my girls. They have fun and also learn a lot through interesting games!!! What's more? Those staff are kind and nice

Chandra Buchanan

I always take my grandchildren on excursions for their birthdays! We love it there!

Anton Link

Just read what I believe to be an accurate review, "pretty cool place

Tor Flores

Fun for the whole family! Pricing is roughly $15 per persons 1 years old and up. A great place to spend a family weekend if you’re trying to getaway from the sun. We visited on a Saturday, which was pretty busy, but lines weren’t ridiculously long. I noticed they hosted birthday parties and other group events. They are conveniently located across from a few restaurants, but they do have a cafe located inside of the facility. You can easily spend 2-4 hours here if you visit every station. The gift shops has neat STEM inspired items for all ages. They have a music room, a mini town for kids to dress-up and role play careers from a pilot to a construction workers with actual equipment. Their second floor has more science, and robotic themed stations. Our family plans on visiting again.

My nephew loves this place and its fun adventures

In the realm of San Antonio this is a kid's Paradise. There's not a lot to do in San Antonio when it's roasting outside. The indoor exhibits are pretty massive and plentiful. There's bunch of things to do outside also, including a fun little man-made river to splash around in. Wear swim friendly clothes and towels. I hate hearing parents yell at their kids to not get wet, miserable fun suckers. $14 for hours of entertainment for your children is well worth it here. $4 off if you're military. Some of the little toys(costumes/blocks) look old and dirty but the facility looks well kept and clean overall. It's crawling with kids, you can't expect it to be spotless. The only food option here is a bakery lorraine. They have expensive salads and simple sandwiches so don't expect pizza and burgers. There's a Taco Cabana basically connected to their driveway if that's your thing. I'd honestly wait, get super hungry and go to one of the great restaurants on Broadway ave. Parking can be difficult at peak hours but it's free so no complaining please. Don't listen to people that post negative reviews from a singular bad experience. If you can find a better place for kids with air conditioning in San Antonio please let me know.

Darryl Riehle

Took my 7 kids and they Loved it! Used our zoo pass for free. Really considering a membership. Seems like kids under 8 would enjoy it for many visits.

Krystal Guerra

One of my favorite places to take my kids. So much fun and so much to keep the littles entertained!

Francoise McGraw

Help! Can't get my niece to leave. She's having way way way too much fun. Gonna sleep well tonight

E.G. & the Family

Awesome place we just moved here from Orlando Fl and first visit become year member, it’s so worth it for my 4 children to learn lots.

Lauren Larson

Went here with family and all ages loved it. There is something for everyone. Bring your walking shoes

Gloria Gutierrez

It was a great experience. My son had lots of fun. We spent over 5 hours there playing and exploring. I do recommend to take plenty of snacks & drinks because they have a very VERY small variety of snacks & the cafe was closed!

M. Furn

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! I am kind of a germaphobe, but the facility and bathrooms were very clean, the workers were really nice and helpful, there were all kind of fun things to do for my 3 year old, 5 year old and 8 year old. My boys favorite I have to say was the Lego screen controlled robots. My 3 year old loved that Tot town and the underwater theme area. Secret Agent area super fun too! Lots to do for all ages! We were there for 4 hours.

Lyndsey Reyna

The DoSeum is a bright spot on the everchanging Broadway St. We attended the Happy Noon Year festivities and had a blast! Pun intended. Everything is interactive and so much fun for kids! Not a whole lot to do with the under 2 years crowd but really great for 3+.

Desert Fox

Really neat and fun things for the kids. Great place to let the kidsw explore and learn a little. I know a membership pass is $120

Samuell Price

Wonderful place for young kids up to about age 13 or maybe 14. Most items are geared at teaching the younger kids, and designed for their body sizes. The lights and sound area is great for all family members. There is a set of steps that makes music as you walk on them. We loved the bubble making area with the fairy house near by under the musical tree house. The upstairs is full of STEM activities from making a parachute toy, to 3d printing, a talking robot, running a virtual digger, and programming robots to run around.

Andreu Garcia

Visited with one kid and 4 adults and we had the greatest time! The museum is big and you can easily spend the day here, specially if the kids want to try everything (as they should). Lots of fun stuff to do and learn, and all the kids will have something for their age, from the youngest ones (I would say 2-3 year olds will have some fun) all the way up to 10-12.

Phylly San Antonio

Not a good neighbor. Loud maintenance : noise until 11pm. Administration ignores complaints. Landscaping company has an employee that literally stands around with a gas blower (extremely loud) and does nothing. 45minutes of blowing a sidewalk to the maintenance door. This place needs new management and needs to be held accountable.

Kerry Stoll

A fun & educational place for kids of all ages to spend the day! Many activities both indoors and out!

Oscar Silva

Best place ever to take the kids to explore and have them use their imagination! My kids are 3 and 5 years old and we all had a great time. The place has something for all ages! Go early to enjoy all the exhibitions.

Juan Rinconf

Great place for my kids. They always love going here and never stop asking. Always clean and the staff always goes out their way to make sure each customer is satisfied

Sandra M Gallegos

My kids always have fun here! Quite a few items broken but it’s constantly busy that I can’t imagine how hard it is to keep up. All around great place for kids/family.

Michelle Valdez

We had so much fun. We learned a lot. There's so much to do, it was great. My daughter loved it. We're definitely coming back. The ladies at the front counter helped us and they were very nice. We had a little accident but a man that worked there helped us very quickly and quietly so everything was fine and we were able to stay awhile longer.

L PS

A must. Get there early parking is horribly small area. I don't think they thought that through when building this place. Not enough parking spots!!! HEB offers free admission here on certain dates, see website for accuracy. Fun, lots of things to create, build, climb, draw, make a story. So much to see. A small water feature during summer days. Avoid going during peak hours - it gets really crowded. Lots to learn and share with your children.

Gaby Mares

Awesome place for kids. My 3 yo loved it!

Lindsey Passenger Wieck

One of our new favorite places in the city. A perfect place for kids and parents to explore, build, climb, pretend, and relax. A huge hurrah to the designers who put so much thought into the details! 5 stars for accessibility - Braille books, photos of kids in wheelchairs doing yoga, and bilingualism throughout the museum. There are some broken odds and ends (water pump in the creek area, etc.), but otherwise a fabulous experience.

Malinda Eckert

This place has endless things to show your child, of all age ranges. There's pretend, motor skills, music, lights, shapes, math, sound, perspective, art, building, .. the list goes on.. we bought a year membership, and go whenever we have a couple of hours to spare. My daughter LOVES the splash pad river.

Edward Mcmahon

This place was good for my five year old and he had a blast playing everywhere. He probably didn’t pay attention to really learn a whole lot, but he really did have fun. Our 1.5 year old had fun too but most things here are geared toward the elementary aged children. The staff and volunteers were very friendly and helpful. The downside is the place is not cheap. Plan to be here all day to get your monies worth. Everyone has to have a ticket unless the babies are under a year old. Ticket prices were the same for adult and children of all ages, so again for a 1.5 year old it seemed rather crazy to pay full price when she couldn’t reach much.

Jason Williams

This place is really closer to 4 1/2 stars but since I can't rate that I'll round it up. This place has a lot of little things to do and seems to be especially geared towards the younger kids, maybe 7 and under. There are some cool things that older kids can appreciate but not as many. My biggest issue with this place is not the Doseum itself but the kids running around like animals. Most kids are well behaved but some are just horrible and out of control. Some parents treat this place like a free for all and just let their kids do whatever they want regardless if other kids are trying to do things that their kid is interrupting. Overall great place for kids, parents need to start teaching their kids respect for others...

Rose Yepiz

One of the best museum of San Antonio. So much to do. We enjoyed a free event hosted by KLRN. I highly recommend for children who are curious and enjoy learning through play.

Nick Foster

Perfect place for the 20 month old and older! Came in from out of town and had an amazing day! Great staff and we ate lunch across the street to save some money.
