Awesome! Made for a very enjoyable day.
The Art Museum was free today and from what I understand it is free every Friday not sure if that is correct. Hester's cafe is located in the Art Museum. Both were very enjoyable.
Everything is absolutely beautiful and very intriguing. Highly recommend going to Hester's Cafe inside the museum.
We saw the ad on "Free art walk" on the second Saturday. We arrived and found out it was misleading? We had to pay admission and could have a free tour guide? We did get 1/2 off $3 per person which was fine. Many local artists mostly Hood paintings. The upstairs was booked out (during the advertised art walk?). We didn't get to see the upstairs area. It seemed a little lacking of art based on the size of the facility? Nice outdoor viewing areas with a nice popular cafe.
Really contemporary, well designed museum. Filled with lots of 3D media compared to most museums I've seen. We found a great deal for admission of 2 on Groupon if you're a group of 2 or 4. Highly recommend seeing the Lawrence print in the main lobby. We also went on a Sunday afternoon and there was hardly anyone there - kinda nice for looking at art in my opinion.
Is a place where you can enjoy what is going on in the art scene and then relax with a coffee or a tea afterwards in the cafe, besides the million dollar view!
Great place to visit! It's a must see.
Awesome art in an awesome setting. Staff very helpful.
First time to the museum. I really enjoyed visiting all the exhibits. I definately intend to go back!!
Great for kids old and young
Excellent prices, small enough so that you do not become overwhelmed with art. Friendly staff. Wonderful lunch spot (hester's) inside with a great view of the bay.
Lovely museum. They host special events and have family days for discounted entrances.
Wonderful wedding reception. Beautiful place...
Great place for kids... There is a area for them to color, read and play on the computer
Big building, nice art.
Staff was not helpful and the security guard was extremely rude. The exhibits were ok.
A surprising jewel of a museum at the "end of the line".
My husband and I went to TAMST 2/17/18 to tour the Los Tejanos art exhibit headed by Cheech Marin and were pleasantly surprised. As many times as we've visited Corpus, we've never been to this museum. Of course, we walked through the entire building and, besides the Cheech exhibit, I personally enjoyed seeing pieces submitted by children with their summary of the submission. Art is pretty new to me, but I'm quickly learning to appreciate it.
My visit to the Art Museum price was right. My last visit was when I was a young girl and was very impressed to see the expansion of the Museum, many memories were brought back as I walked through the old part of the museum it was pleasant. I can't wait until I go back for my next visit. Excellent hospitality by all staff.
First Friday was wonderful
It was good for the price which was $8 a mission. They also have wheelchairs which was good cuz I broke my leg. Very empty but has a lot of local artwork which is cute. It could have more stuff but for the price you're paying which is $8 it's a nice little our trip to take
Wonderful art! Friendly director! Wonderful cafe!
It was a nice place to spend a rainy afternoon.
Nice place and has a kiddie area for the kids to color, read books and play on the computer
Very unique art work to see great place to visit.
Great location, besides admiring art collections at the museum, the views to the surrounding attractions just as impressive.
never went inside the museum so I can't tell you anything about it we were in the parking lot so we can get pictures of the Lexington especially in the evening when it's lit up in blue
Hester’s is awesome! What a view!
Very beautiful building and collection.
Great artistic experience!
Cool little museum. Just a little bumbed that the water feature out front was not on. I believe admission was $8 per person.
Enjoyed visiting this Corpus Christi attraction. SD3
Was very nice went to the Christmas tree forest my daughter and son in law took me first time to go there.
I was expecting better.
I really like this Art Museum. Very Interesting, Entertaining. My Children enjoyed it. Friendly staff. Very welcoming.
The Art Museum of South Texas ALWAYS has great exhibitions. I last saw the Dorothy Hood exhibit, which I loved ... before that, I visited an exhibit featuring Chicano art from the notable collection of art advocate Cheech Marin ... heard that a new show is coming from his collection in 2018! Cannot wait!!
Loved my visit to the museum! The diversity of exhibits, combined with lovely views out on the deck, made for a most memorable time! Whenever I am in Corpus Christi, I will make it a point to stop by this top-notch museum to pour over their latest exhibits!
Topped off a great day in Corpus Christi with the Arr Museum and a lecture with Kent Ullberg
Loved the exhibits by the local middle school students!
A variety of scultures and paintings. Cafe inside has great views of the ocean.
Great art, more for adults not kids. They have a restaurant Hester's inside if you get hungry, didn't try it but lots of people were there.
Had a lovely visit and the coffee was amazing!
There were pieces of spiral notebook paper with a 1/2 inch line made with green felt pen...a whole row of them equally as uninspiring. Really? My 4 year old grandson is a better artist! Maybe the closed exhibits were better... Glad I was there on free Friday! Not worth my time! What a waste!
A beautiful museum in an awesome coastal location. We particularly enjoyed the local art and cultural exhibits.
Met special friends for lunch and enjoyed the good and fellowship. Loved the view.
I TOOK MY GRANDKIDS, WE LOVED ALL THE ART, SO HAPPY THEY ENJOYED EVERYTHING.. THANK YOU, THEY ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO ALL YOUR ACTIVITIES
It wasn't that great but the staff was nice.
The kids always have an awesome time when we come to the Museum. To help with the cost they have dollar days that help share the experience with everyone. Thank you guys for keeping the Museum so awesome!
Corpus Christi has a nice museum in fact got nicer this weekend. My daughter took part in an art contest and she won first prize and a small scholarship.
Great exhibit of Kent Ullberg works today.
Spacious has variety of art pieces. Fantastic location.
A must see if ever in Corpus Christi .. The local art was my favorite .
Very interesting
Hester's has a nice menu and great view of the harbor.
Peaceful place to walk around! My only reason it loses a star is cause it stinks of food. They need better ventilation.
My boys really loved the interacting article display
All this time I've lived here and never stopped by. Well it's not the Louvre, but maybe our little version of it. It took an hour and a half to browse the art which today featured some tantalizing sculptures by a nationality celebrated local artist. As in any Art museum, I had some "Whattha?" moments, but maybe 2 at most. Actually, I left quite proud of our little metropolitan museum of art and saw just how beautifully talented in sculptured art I am not. But them..... amazing! Check it out sometime....
We spotted the distinctive building across the bridge from the USS Lexington and decided to find out what it was. This art museum was a true pleasure to visit. It's not too large and has a nice permanent collection that was well displayed. "The Art of Caring, a Look at Life Through Photography" had just started and it is fabulous, stunning collection of photographs from top photographers around the country. This exhibition was definitely worth the visit. After this experience we decided we must always take in a local art museum wherever we travel. This museum is right next to a great fountain. THis is a popular local area to do family portraits and a group of dressed up teens showed up for photos while we were there.
My children took a beginner's pottery class here a few months back. They had a great time and loved their instructor Peyton! Will definitely be back for future classes
Great museum with assortment of exhibits. It took us about 2 hours to get through everything taking our time. Really friendly staff and discounts for A&M student and military. Great location near ocean.
The cafeteria/restaurant inside is outstanding… great water view and sandwich selection is outstanding too. You do not have to pay museum fee to go to the restaurant, but also you can enjoy part of it in the way thru.
I went a while back and I must say this is one of the best art museums in Texas. It is just the right size and has just the right amount of work and it is beautiful. And the location is magical.
Enjoyable and entertaining. The collections quirky and diverse. Plenty of quiet space to look and enjoy displays.
So much fun. Loved the exbits made the Selena fest worth going to.
Went with my boyfriend on a quick trip to Corpus. We actually had come for the coffee at Hester's (A+ on our drinks!), but we were drawn to the exhibits you see before the cafè. Architecturally it's a stunning place, the service is kind, fast, and you can't beat that coffee shops' oceanside view.
We my wife and I had a great time with our grandkids lots of art to see and had fun doing crafts
A beautiful place with a great restaurant Great views of a working harbor
A fantastic way to spend an afternoon. Hester's is a major draw also.
Great place with wounrful veow you have no choice but love it
Great place to visit on dollar days. It's not very big, but you can pass an hour or so looking at the new exhibits.
Very interesting and good for groups of all ages.
First time in an art place enjoyed everything I saw
Small changes heighten my interest each visit. Good staff help me with all my questions.
Great rotating exhibits, lovely atmosphere, nice place to hang out in the downtown area.
I and my son use to love this place, but the prices went up drastically (I expected a gradual increase), and they need to rotate there exhibits more.
Cute little art museum on the coast. The place is quite small and has limited variety of art, but they do feature a lot of local artists from corpus area and a lot of their work was interesting and creative. They also hosted some middle school and high school art creations which gave a fresh perspective on the artists of the future. The museum also has an excellent cafe where you can enjoy and coffee and enjoy the view of the ocean or the USS Lexington.
Lovely pieces of art. Elevator really big, some unique pieces of art. Watergarden was not working when i went. Sadly.
Great, fun exhibit is showing right now, "Retooled". Easy access and parking. Very good restaurant on-site.
Nice place friendly knowledgeable staff
It was nice scolpshers and pictures
Some wonderful sculptures and paintings but to many school childrens work to fill the space.
Beautiful museum! It has an ocean view and a cafe
Great place.. spent a couple hours with the kiddos.. stayed not far from there and all was spot on budget!
Love the new exhibit Kent Ullberg.
Loved the gift shop. Very interesting exhibits.
Beautiful little museum located right on the coast. Well worth the price of admission (especially if you are a student, or another population that receives a discount). My wife and I spent a good hour or more walking through, but note we aren't big art people. The parking might be a little hard to find so be sure to map it out before you head to the museum.
Not very large but a nice collection of art nonetheless.
Interesting art, quiet place with a so beautiful view at the green waters, boats and nature.
It was a great place to review except there was a section that was closed off a little bumper.
When me and my partner visit new cities we like to check out the local art, this place did not disappoint we even got a discount with Groupon the bay views are perfect the art was perfect just wish they had a bigger selection of modern abstract art.
Beautiful place managed by passionate people, very welcoming and friendly
Great Christmas tree event. All most see
I love this place.
Mother's Day Special today
Spacious and grand! So much to see and be amazed by.
A small museum with an impressive Dorothy Hall Collection. However the best thing to look at is the views offered by Heaters Cafe inside.
Great place. Very eye opening and good for groups of all ages!
First time ever going and loved it. My kids loved it too. Such a nice place to visit with the family.
Really nice
Beautiful art, friendly staff, great price, wonderful location!
Beautiful place w/ decent prices. Lovely views with a lot to explore. Parking is a bit far but is handicap accessible.
Art was interesting, loved all the student art (honestly the best part)
Beautiful Art here and they have a Hesters with seating outside. So nice!
Awesome place to see local talent, lots of interesting art of all kinds, staff is friendly and knowledgeable, atmosphere is calm and benevolent. Great view of the water when you step outside as well.
Smaller than expected, but has a peaceful atmosphere
Beautiful art!
Love the art displayed here. Recently attending a wedding so the venue was a great choice. Very tastefully done.
Great place along the bay
Visiting the art museum is always a real treat. Every detail of the architecture has been put into place to bring out the best of Corpus Christi bay. I recommend this museum to anyone and everyone.
Boring same old art work
I took my 11 year old son for a little cultural exposure and we both fell in love. The staff is knowledgeable and very courteous.
Very nice exhibits and great place to beat the heat on this hot summer day!
Nice art statues, excellent food in the Cafe
Nice display of different types of art
Fabulous summer camps!
I love it.
A wonderful and thoughtful house collection with traveling works and collections from around the world as well. They also have a terrific theater for screening film. Most of which follow a Q&A style showcasing filmmaker, writer, producer and or talent. Has a restaurant and awesome views of Corpus Christi Bay and surrounding points of interest. A great place for your half-way point in the day(s) of visit to CC, or a good place for lunch. Near CC Museum of Science and History, Harbor Playhouse and American Bank Center/Selena Auditorium, Heritage Park, the Water Garden and more.
Had a great time
Great local art for the art lover or not. Just a lovely place to take a special someone or the family on a Saturday afternoon. The plus is the gem of a cafe inside the museum.
It's fine. Nice effort, but nothing to write home about.
Very nice, awesome art collection!
Full of wonderful art, very cheap, it has pretty decent technology and the new art is always being placed.
Visited with family for a quick weekend trip and to our amazement and surprise the museum hosted a free admission day as well as a small concert with an orchestra trio. The museum itself is very engaging and has some very interesting pieces. Definitely wish I had more than a few hours to take it all in.
Always wonderful exhibits.
Absolutely loved our visit to the art museum! Staff is extremely friendly. Collections are easily accessible. The museum offers a very eclectic look at art from abstract to religion. I highly recommend.
I really enjoyed the experience of visiting this museum. The galleries were amazing, I also visited the café and ordered a muffin and iced coffee and everything was good! Also there are discounts for students, which is great for saving money while traveling!
I had a great time at this Art Museum. It's right on the water and Corpus Christi. There is also a Hester's Cafe on the property so you can sit out by the water and have a cup of coffee or lunch. Great environment and very relaxing
For CC vacays it's an inspiring and inexpensive afternoon that's worth your while. The children's submissions we're impressive. Cheech Marin's collection of other artists work was nice but weird.
Great museum. Especially if you like religious prints. Nice break from out door activities. Worth seeing at a low price to support art in South Texas
I didn't see any pieces that just stopped me but still alot of really cool art and a great place to kill a day
bit of a small collection but it is very nice with some interesting pieces
Small but pretty cool. Went for the Chicano Art exhibit. I wish it was a bigger exhibit.
Very unique and quiet, the open layout of museum compliments the mural like artworks in the center room very well. There is extreme diversity in the types of art displayed, especially so for a small museum. Not only is there beautiful pieces to enjoy but also interactive features that allow you to create your own digital painting, or the water fountain statute located outside the conference like room. This museum utilizes space phenomenally as you can find different pieces in every corner, even on the ceiling. Despite being so expansive for a small museum, it's very affordable as well as we only paid 4 dollars a person. By far one of my favorite things to do in corpus, I absolutely recommend taking a look.
This is a nice little museum. One of my favorites in south Texas.
Great place. Very eye opening!!
Super! If you don't make regular visits to our art museum you are missing out on a lot of fun and great art. Memberships are affordable and benefit the whole family.
It was a very Awsome experience !!
Amazing place and the secerity gaurd was really nice and funny
