REVIEWS OF Texas Transportation Museum IN Texas

Difficult for wheelchairs to get from Gravel Parking lot up the hill to the depot. Went for the christmas event and they have a fun little train ride but beyond that there really wasn't much to see. I would recommend just going to the normal daytime museum and save the $4.

Sally Hanley

Very cool place to visit. It's small but the volunteers are very helpful. We enjoyed the free train ride with the diesel engine. It's fun to visit at Halloween or Christmas when they have the trains decorated.

Sherri French

My son enjoyed the trains

All the one, two, and three-star reviews for this place are totally undeserved! This place is absolutely brilliant and the staff (who are all volunteer and work solely for the love of what they're doing) work night and day to build on their projects and to make the museum better. They have a very large collection of antique 1900's vehicles, including a 1911 Baldwin tender engine, an operational 1925 0-4-0ST ex-Comal Power Plant Baldwin Vulcan oil-fired tank engine, two diesel-electric shunting engines, two old pullman cars, two union Pacific cabooses, and countless old automobiles, not to mention the model train building, the outdoor railway, and hourly train rides during operating hours, with monthly steam rides. Plus, they're working on expanding the route to make a complete loop around the property. When I visited, all staff were friendly as can be, and they even let me blow the steam engine's whistle! Overall this is an amazing place that doesn't get enough credit for what it is. Would reccomend to anyone at any age.

I have been there many times. Love the place

Dr Aaron Miller

Took my wife there for Mother's Day. We got to ride a train and see cool stuff. It was so "God aweful" hot.

Tim S

It's not only trains ...they have a great collection of vintage cars and carriages. Mini train display and more.

Cool place wish there was more to see

Robert Cacic

Only place to get a steam engine ride in San Antonio to my knowledge.

Great lil treasure for train lovers! We spent three hours without blinking an eye. Check out their sites for which trains they are running.

Sabrina Phillips

This place was so much fun. The kids loved it. There is a lot of history here. The guy meets you at the door with a smile. He knows everything there is to know about trains. The train cars are set up just like they would be back in the day. My son loves trains. We got to ride the train there. I would suggest to bring water. They do sell it but since it's volunteer based there wasn't somewhere there selling it yesterday. The price is pretty good too. Under 4 is free. We would go again.

Rob Amiot

We had an amazing time at this museum. They have a real train to ride an indoor HO model train that is huge. An outdoor G gauge train that’s amazing. The people who work there are train enthusiasts like my kids and truly care that visitors have a great experience.

Joshua Brockwell

My 4 year old son is a train fanatic! So when we pull into this place, he's literally screaming with excitement. He loves walking through the outdoor model train garden, seeing all the little trains inside the main building because you can get up really close and watch them zoom by your head, and of course he loves the train ride. Go around Christmas time for the best experience. It's a bit expensive for the whole family, but it's to support a good cause, and the kids love it.

Renee Erica

Went during one of the halloween weekends. Very cute for the kids. Decorated well, all the kids at event were in costume, and they gave a good amount of candy out. Staff was also very friendly with the kids which i love.

Aaron Garcia

James Penn

It's a family tradition for us

Nora Barrera

The nostalgic feel to this place is amazing. They have the steam powered engine that is noisy and shakes a lot but oh so much fun! They have miniature yet elaborate toy train and tracks and actual railroad cars you can climb and walk around in from the classic models that give you an immersive look into the past. We loved it and will absolutely come back.

FRKRE

Great place and good people running this place. Train ride is rather short but good. My son had a great time and enjoyed the mini electric train setup they have booth indoor and outdoor.

Michelle Sacksteder

We were passing through San Antonio today with my 2 and 4 year old train lovers and were super disappointed by this place. They didn't have any staff to do any of the indoor or outdoor model train displays. When we got there we were told the train was leaving at 1030 and that there would be 5 honks when it was time to board. At 1005 my husband left the automobile building to get something out of our car and the employee told us if we wanted to ride the train we better hurry. We gathered the kids and ran to the train. It went down the track through heavy brush for a few minutes, reversed a few minutes, went back down for a few minutes, and reversed a few minutes before it stopped. There were fire ant hills and wasp nest all over and large sticks on the trails that my toddlers kept tripping over. This place looked like it could have been a really fun and neat place but unfortunately for us I guess we showed up on an off day.

Norma

Great place to visit, it's been around for ages a secret treasure

Lisa J

Employees were super helpful and informative as were the volunteers. The train rides are super short, but it's still fun. I'm excited for the Christmas train rides and possibly catching the steam engine ride.

Mark Pillar

I like this place. It is sad that their funding is so low but the volunteers do their very best with resources at hand. Thank you for keeping some heritage alive as many have become too busy and arrogant to enjoy it. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Helen Anderson

The kids had a great time for their Easter Egg Hunt.

Kathryn McV

Great place for kids to learn about trains/transportation and experience their first ride. My friend had her sons birthday party here when he was two and the kids had a great time.

Anne Ostermeier

Lovely outing with my son and husband. Rode on a real train three times. Toured Pullman passenger trains and cabooses and stayed there almost til closing. A great time!!#

Donna Parry

Love this place

MYL- XbX

Its really nice but the train ride just goes back and foward but the rest is all good

Bob Arnold

Manlio Reyna

I brought my 6 year old. He was really into trains at the time and this place did not disappoint.

Bob Burd

A small and humble place with a big as Texas heart. We were there for a rail fan event an decided to check out the museum. They couldn't be more helpful, placing the locomotive where I could get a good photo and a cab ride to the end of the line. Thanx for everything, from a grateful Canadian.

Ron Kahler

For me it was disappointing. I have been to many train museums and I expected more. I went hoping to see full size trains from many years ago. Well, other that the one you ride, there is one engine, a coal car, two passenger cars and a caboose. That is it. They are cool but the other train museums I have visited have at least 10 train cars to visit and some have had many more. The antique cars were cool but again, they were very limited. Now, if you go to see MODEL trains, you will be very pleased as they are a lot of them. One last comment. We went with a person in a wheel chair and it was very difficult even though the person did not go in the train cars. The train ride was easy enough but the rest was rough. There is handicapped parking at the upper level building but we weren't told that until we pushed the wheel chair all the way up the hill.

Joester P

It was great for my 2 & 5 year old Gkids

John Stevens

Carol Long

A hidden secret. Lots of information, especially great for children and school outings.

Linda Perez

Very informative. Fun for all ages.

Eagle Jackson

Incredibly disappointing, would not recommend it unless you have litterly never seen a train. Pro - There is 1 engine (you can stand in it), 1 coal car, 2 passenger trains (you can sit in the seats or at least no one tried to stop us), and 1 caboose. There's a real train you can ride for 5 minutes round trip. Each train car (except for the engine) that you can access has informational plaques and maniquins and detailed interior, you can't climb into the cupola but you can sit on the seats (or beds as it were in the caboose). There were some wagons and older cars, not my area so can't speak to that. Cons - It's 10 dollars per adult. Some of the interior work is pretty janky (but it is good for the most part) such as in one of the cars there's a stove with a light bulb I think was suppose to be a fire on the floor next to it. While the lady in the front office was very friendly litterly no one else was, we were wearing train club polos and touring all of the Model Railroad clubs in the area and they never even made eye contact with us in the model rail road room (3 club members were there just sitting around), and the train staff didn't even speak to us. The model rail road was very poor and crimally undersized considering the massive building leading up to it, very unimpressive, just a small layout with a bunch of cars (mostly iron ore) slammed on it with no real reason. The train ride is 5 minutes round trip generously, over a very poorly maintained jointed rail complete with period accurate ear splitting screeches, it's a straight line through a bassicly empty field and then reverse back, it's included in your ticket and if it's one of the days you pay extra I would 100% recommend you not do it, during the entire ride the staff did not speak to us (despite one of them standing within 2 feet of me on the return leg). If you're going here for the "real train rides" keep in mind it will cost you about $2/minute. Outdoor model trains were very weak, the best part is a hobo camp that is almost hidden, and is probably the most detailed part of the outdoor rail line.

Fun place for little kids and adults. Great for people interested in various transportation. It is mostly outside so on special events at Halloween and Christmas they may be canceled that day if it rains too much. The place is all run by volunteers who put their heart and time into it.

Russell & Cathy Huff

Hidden gem. Does not look like much from the road, but lots of neat dispalys.

Aly Kirchhof

The exhibits are interesting but a little outdated. Great place to take little ones. The train ride is a lot of fun!

Richard Ferris

Fun little under financed museum. I enjoyed the visit and most rail fans would as well.

Prasanna Negalur

Nice little place for kids and adults if you are a train lover..

F.D. Mc

It's VERY rustic out here, but the staff is super-talented and awesome. If you're a train buff this is the place for you. The longer we stayed, the more fun it became. Give it a chance and you'll have a great time.

Drove by during the work week and decided to take the family. Wife, daughter and son had been there with school functions before. Myself and the toddler had not been there. We loved the train ride and went on it twice (2 different times). My son and I would like to become a volunteer so we picked up a form from Ms. Marie. Wife and I loved the super cold water fountain, it felt very refreshing after walking the hot summer heat. Will return frequently. Would love to help with the restoration of the old cars.

Deborah Robinson

Attended a birthday party, parents and children loved it. Lots to see and a short train rode.

Kevin T Dunnican

Good customer service and neat place to bring the family and kids.

Jaime Piña

Not that impressive the train ride sucked I wouldn't call it a train ride

Cody Pannell

Awesome place for people who love trains

Michelle Borsheim

Really nice place. The grounds was kept up nicely. They have a lot of train displays to look at an antique cars to look at. they have a steam train and an electric train that will pull you on a nice little ride.

Yvonne Maley

Took grandkids for train ride. They enjoyed walking through the older model passenger trains and seeing the model trains on so many different tracks.

Tony Hass

Not bad but the train ride was super short the displays weren't that well maintained.

terah holland

Brought my kids ages 10 and 3. To my surprise there was a student film crew there and because of that the entry was free. The museum was smaller that I thought but it still had some interesting trains and vehicles. I would have like to have seen more trains, but the ones we did see were quite a learning experience. The same goes for the antique vehicles they had out on display. The day we went they were doing a steam train ride. This was enjoyable. The kids had a good time walking through the trains and looking at the old cars. It took us about 2 hours to walk around and see everything. This time include the wait time for the train ride.

Arthur Guerrero

This is a perfect place on a nice weather day when you are looking for an hour or so of outdoor walking activities. My kids from 2-10 really enjoy this place. The 2yo is especially crazy for trains and loves the train ride and the miniature Thomas and Percy trains. As an adult, the antique vehicles and train cars are fascinating from a historical perspective. They staff work as volunteers, so all money goes into what feels like a labor of love. It would be nice if the birthday room be more train themed. If it were made up like an old car, I think it would be great.

Elena Ermolaeva

ARF

My family and I, enjoyed this place and the staff was very nice.

Bill Foster

My grandson and I love trains and there is every kind of train imaginable here. Our favorite section is the Garden Railroad. Great photo ops and a real running train makes the day memorable. We signed up as members!

Jack Burn

A work lovingly in progress. What a great spirit the place has.

Susan McDonald

My husband is a train fan and this place fit the bill!

Renee herndon

Wonderful time for the whole famil! Great places for a birthday

Its sad that this is all that san Antonio has to offer. They need more donations, go there.

Jeffrey Watters

Very nice place to bring the kids.

grace flores

Carl Michel

Staff was great and we enjoyed their exhibits.

James Clark

Its a great historical site the steam engine is amazing the people that volunteer their time are some of the greatest because of what they do and provide the history of what this country was founded on

R Flores

Good little museum out in the boonies! Entrance fee is very reasonable, the train cars need a bit more TLC, but I suppose it would be better tended if there were more volunteers. Model trains are well kept, and the restored vehicles (fire engines, cars, etc.) look fantastic. Will drop by again when time permits!

Aaron Brewer

It's a bit rough, but it has pleanty to thrill my boys. They especially like the hands on stuff and real coaches, caboose, and stream engine to walk through and little engine to sit in. The quarter mile train ride is long enough to give the little ones the thrill of being on a train and seeing how it all works.

Shane Waite

The Christmas lights and train ride were fun for the whole family.

John Daily

Very cool items and vehicles on display.

Antoinette Bennett

This place was cool to visit but it's not at all worth the money you spend to tour it, but it has the potential to be. The trains are cool to see but all the old vehicles are in a small dark packed warehouse. If they were in a space that they could be viewed and well seen this place would be crawling with social media lovers to take photos.

Erik Springer

Hidden gem in San Antonio. 100% volunteer run. Free train rides every hour on the half hour. Huge HO lay out, garden railroad, automobiles from the 1920's.

Patrick Ward

Visited the museum with my nine year old and a couple friends. While the steam loco wasn't operating we were able to still ride the train a couple of times. Very friendly volunteers and lots to see! The passenger cars are quite neat to walk through and the exhibit building on the hill houses some very interesting vehicles, a Lionel layout, and a long HO scale layout with tons to see and enjoy! At first I wasn't sure if the price was worth it but my son told me three times before we got home how much fun he had. We'll definitely come back - especially for the holiday events. Great place to visit!

Brianna Larison

An absolutely must visit place.

Had a wonderful time and the staff was very friendly. Great model train displays too. I recommend a visit at least once. You will be amazed!!

Micah Walker

It's a great place to spend the day at if you like trains and cars

Isabella Guerrero

I went here with my family and it was a great experience! My little brother, a two year old, is crazy for trains so we’ve been doing all we can to keep his moment alive. It’s pretty nice having a short train ride in, then going to see old cars and models of trains. I have to say, what you see here you might not get to see in most places. Highly recommend going here. :)

Moses Cantu

Went to visit this museum with my wife and children and was pleasantly surprised. It was not too large of a location but was just right. Went on a Saturday around noon and there not an overwhelmingly amount of people. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and even let us know that the train ride was about to take off so we wouldn’t miss it . The museum sells waters and sodas but allowed you to bring your own water if needed. I do suggest to bring sunscreen since most of the exhibits are outside except for two air conditioned buildings . My 12 year old and 9 year old were amused and enjoyed the museum but my 4 year old loves trains so he was amazed and actually did not want to leave . The part my 4 year old liked the most was the model trains area where a volunteer or employee named Mr Cepeda if I spelled it correctly was very friendly and informative and allowed my 4 year and 9 year old sons to take a photograph next to a Thomas the train model. Overall we spent a little more then hour and possibly could have stayed more but we had prior engagements. I recommend this museum if you have time and want to get up and close with some trains and other historical transportation exhibits.

Was fun to check out and see.

justin story

waste of money and time! I put one star because I had to rate this dump to leave a review. I wouldn't even give this place a half of a star! They have model trains that you used to be able to operate with joysticks, now they yell at you and your children for touching them. Your better off going to Morgan's wonderland or Landa park to ride a train. Train ride was about 2 minutes long and it just goes forward and backwards. I would not send my worst enemy to this place! $24 for my wife, our two children and myself and my kids would of had more fun at the park for free.

Isabella Hernandez

Went for the Christmas lights

Ruben Lopez

Great for kids and train enthusiasts. The people there are the greatest part. You can rinse a diesel engine and walk through a Pullman car.

laura ortiz

Great for kids and adults!

It used to just be a place for birthday parties. Now it's a consolidated outdoor museum of train cars. Actually, a really cool place to visit...nestled in the corner of McAlister Park. It's definitely not as boring as it sounds.

Kirk R

Fun place with an opportunity to learn

Matthew Wordell

Not huge, but a nice collection work really friendly people.

Elizabeth Ariel

Benjamin Ostermeier

This place is absolutely awesome. They've got their own railroad with 3 operating engines, vintage cars, trucks, and carriages, and every scale of model railroad. And the volunteers are very friendly, accommodating, and informative. It's worth a visit! I've been 3 times already!

John Cerecerez

I actually have been to the museum several times... 1st. of all just to visit, which was very educational and interesting about Americas early Transportational means and methods back to the early 1900's.They also have an enormous display of Train History and memorabilia. Second experience was having a birthday party for my Grandson, A.J.P. who liked it so much that he has become a fulltime Employee as a Volunteer worker at the Museum. Today, I actually was at the Transportation Museum to give my Grandson a ride home. The Museum is presently going thru an expansion, AND upgrading all the facilities, thanks to all the Volunteers that work there and the Generous Visitors that help support this non profit organization. I would like to ask Everyone to please visit this Establishment for knowledge and Educational purposes, AND please help Support this exceptional facility for it's Future Growth. GOD BLESS YOU IN ADVANCE, . J . Cerecerez ...

Josue de la Torre

Fun place to bring the kids to learn about old modes of transportation.

dan malo

If you or your kids love trains, there's no better place to visit in San Antonio. Run entirely by volunteers, the museum is a great place to learn and have fun. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. There is an air conditioned model railroad building which also includes a drinking fountain, and best of all, a bathroom with a CHANGING TABLE!! This is a BIG plus for those of us with babies and toddlers! Also a tip; come on a Friday to avoid crowds, and you'll practically have the place to yourself (though, the short rain ride will not be running) and you'll save a dollar on admission.

EnginesThey'reAmazing

My work place.

Jeff McWhirter

This is an incredible place to visit, over the year they have been making continuous improvements on the equipment and the grounds. we have been going to the halloween and christmas events ever since they started many years ago and it's now a family tradition. I know based on this place relying on help from volunteers that it has ups and downs but given the total content of the whats to see here i would offer the advice of just taking your time when you visit. There really is a lot to see. If you are basing your experience here compared to visiting the museum of world history you might want to set your expectations and enjoy the visit for what it is, a fun time for about 90 minutes to 2 hours. You're not going to spend all day here.

Amanda Greathouse

We had a blast here. They have an old working train that the kids can ride. Our son loved it!

Jakob Stafford

This little hidden gem is a great history lesson in transportation. We had a great time and spent a good 4 hours there talking with the curators probing their knowledge.

Ben James

Lots of really neat stuff, and a freaking train ride included in the extremely reasonable admission. The Pullman cars are well preserved and a great look at how we traveled before airlines and highways took over. Highly recommended for all ages, go check it out!

Rik Cruz

Definitely worth a visit. Open only on weekends Fri - Sun. Spent about two hours there with the family. Kids will love it and the train ride. Trains of all sizes to see and enjoy.

We took our family from Austin to visit the Texas Transportation Museum last night to see Santa's Wonderland, but our car broke down about 3 miles before we arrived. When I called to ask a question, Mr. Hugh asked and I explained why we couldn't make it. He quickly found another employee, Mr. Black, and had him come pick us up and take us to the museum, free of charge, while our vehicle was towed to be repaired. And if that wasn't enough, Mr. Black took us to a place to stay when were finished enjoying the museum! When our car broke down, we thought our night of Christmas fun was ruined. But the amazing staff at the museum turned our disaster into a Christmas miracle! I wish I could give them 10 stars!!!!

Said Ibrahim

Enjoyed the visit, my daughter had fun. The staff here are kind and friendly.

Linda Brangenberg

Trains were a hit with the grandchildren.

Jason Depew

Great place for kids, or anyone who loves trains. Has a large train that does rides a few times a day, some to climb on/wall through, and some very impressive model railroads. It's a great place for kids' birthday parties too. They do special decorations for Christmas. It's a good place to take the kids to see Santa.

Samantha Schumacher

Alex Bokov

Fun place to spend a weekend afternoon with the kids. Incredibly detailed model railroads all over the place, and a working full sized train you can ride.

Anna Redding

Great volunteer staff and restored train cars, plus some vintage cars and model trains.

Daniel Martinez

Awesome place. Your kids will love it. Great people that work there.

George Manriquez

Interesting place!

TAMMY ANDERSON

This place is so cool. They have all sizes of model trains and one outdoors. We've been back twice this yr.

7889915

We had a great time with our 3yo daughter at the museum! This place is wonderful for kids and adults. So much history and learning plus the train ride. The train ride is short but perfect for small children. Might be 5 min long or so. Would be awesome if they have enough land to make it a circle track, but going backwards was also rewarding. Thank you for the hands on experience with the old cars, tracks, engine, and dining cars. I donated to the cause. This is worth it!

Michelle Benischek

Therese Fleming

Every time I go to TTM I find more improvements. It's amazing what this all volunteer organization manages to get done on such a slim budget. It's a shame they don't have loads of money. I bet they would make the place even better in no time. Their huge Christmas show, "Santa's Railroad Wonderland," is not be missed.

Miriam de León

Loved this place. The perfect museum to explore with young kids since it's not super big. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the train ride, next time we are in San Antonio we will probably stop by again because the kids enjoyed it so much. If we lived there we would be having the kids parties there, I believe they have a special caboose for that purpose. Changed wagon for caboose, lol, I knew that didn't sound right :)

Janie Garcia

My favorite place to take my son. So many trains but I was so sad that the outdoor trains were off. That is the best part of the place. The people there are very nice.

Patti Ziesmer

Robert Longoria

Great plan to learn about trains and history of them great people there I'm glad I have joined the train club

jenn from eddie and jenn

They are nice and are handicapped accessibility

Interesting

Bruce Boyes

My father enjoyed this quite a bit. Old Pullman cars were interesting. Most is wheelchair accessible - if you are up to muscling through gravel. I was (hint: pull backwards, don't try to push through gravel), but many would find it a challenge. It's staffed by volunteers who were friendly and helpful. They could clearly use more $$$ and staff to work on restoration and maintenance. We did the train ride. Kids will love the trains and models. Great place for kid birthday party. Model RR are impressive.

Pat Edinger

I made my visit this morning (Saturday) and they were offering free admission (Yes!). I visit a lot of museums and so always am looking at how things are done and the layouts with the available equipment/location/displays. Overall this was a good museum and I thought it was aimed at younger people (4 - 16 year olds). There is plenty of things to see and explore for older people also but most of the hands on things were for younger people. They were running the steam engine this morning and everyone had a great time on the little trip out and back. The layout of the whole place requires walking and there are some uneven surfaces but I would not hesitate to take anyone for a visit. Most of the rolling stock on display had stairs so take that into account. The Pullmans were well done and there were plenty of people around to provide information and ask questions of. Overall a good visit - cant wait to take the kids back

gina Aguirre

Great for children

Manuel Gonzalez

Hidden Jen in San Antonio that features San Antonio's only functional full size Steam locomotive. Great place for people of all ages to explore.

Jimmy Singh

Definitely a place to visit with family and kids there is plenty to see here. You also get to ride on a steam engine which is fun. They also have some vintage cars in there museum. 4 stars only because it doesn't top other transportation museams I have seen in the past but still very enjoyable thank you for all the exhibits.

Allison Wright

An AWESOME little museum!!! We LOVED it! Can't wait for them to be bigger and have a longer train ride! We will defiantly be back!

Pam N

Open on Fridays, but nothing is running. Price is ridiculous. Garden train not running and no train rides on Friday. Garden train area had plastic trains that were all knocked down, mostly children's old toys throughout. A trash can was knocked over by racoons?? Inside model train setup had one train running. Man who was in room would not even speak to us. This really is not a museum that most would want to pay for. No other paying customers; I guess they found out before us that it was a waste of $$. Very disappointed.

Brandi Ruiz

Awesome. Informative guides, very cool historic train cars and massive model trains. Definitely recommend coming but caution you to be prepared for the heat. The bathrooms/ model display rooms are the only air conditioned area and they are a small trek up a small hill. Its worth it but I caution you to bring water and take it easy.

Renee Sanders

It was such a pleasant surprise and such a good experience, the museum. Everyone should go. You can spend a lot of time there! There's lots to see - antique cars, etc., very cool place.

TruckerCole

It was really fun! The model trains were very cool and my little brother loved the train ride. Would definitely recommend.

Gfrye F

Love this place if you love trains go here

Ricky Clawson

This was the absolute worst venue I have ever had the misfortune of visiting. A group of approximately two dozen of us went this evening to tour it and evaluate any paranormal activities. The "museum" was hosting a charity day to benefit "Toys For Tots". My family spent more on the toys than we would have the general admission. The Art Deco Pullman cars were moderately interesting, but the rest of a bit grubby. Old cars in a warehouse... toy trains... a couple of carriages. What made the experience horrible was the staff... a rude old man. The place had closed and while we were gathered in the parking lot, not having been there any longer than 8 or 9 minutes at the absolute most, this hateful man went out of his way to walk down the way hollering, "This is not a gathering place! All of you got in on the cheap anyhow, with the Toys For Tots, bringing in cheap toys! Get out of here now!" I don't know his name, (but I intend to find out,) and file a formal complaint. My car club is having a national meet in San Antonio in April and I will make certain than EVERYONE in the Rolls-Royce Owners Club is very much aware what a miserable dump this place is. I could only recommend it as an attraction if you want someone to have an unfavorable impression of San Antonio, if not humanity in general. There's many more WORTHY attractions around without the insufferably rude staff and a venue that is mediocre at best. A dump with an attitude. In short, it sucks.

Raquel S

There's a bunch to see including antique cars from the late 1800s and early 1900s. The train ride runs every hour as well!

Anisha Goyal

Paula Beus

Loved it.

I endured refurbishing the entry system not only for the visitors to make it more safe with your school buses and also working with some good man Dave really did well have you had a chance to go by and take a look at it

Very entertaining

Real train ride. Great outdoor model trains. Country-like outdoor setting. Inexpensive family fun.

Lacey Tarver

Awesome

James Ory

Nice for a few hours of your day. The direction they are trying to go is good. Hope their plans for the future work out.

Gerardo Garcia

Great place. I had never gone before but went for the Halloween party they through yearly. It was great. They really went all out and dressed the place up. If you have little ones it's a must. The model trains are fantastic and the train ride is a great experience.

Misty Mercado

A lovely experience for our young kids. It's sweet, not too big, and makes for an easy, enjoyable evening.

I took my wife and three boys there. It was great. I wish that the train trip were longer, but we went on two or three times (depending on the person). They invited us to ride a firetruck, even to go to an area or two where they were setting things up. We left for lunch, then came back. There were lots of train sets inside, and three outside. There was a running USAF train engine, and the train that we rode, plus old carriages and cars inside. The workers were friendly and pro-active, and knowledgeable.

Really cute, small, volunteer-run museum. $10 admission includes a short ride on the train. Good way to spend a couple of hours.
