HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The only museum in Rockport, TX that survived Hurricane Harvey. The Maritime Museum is open and is a true hidden gem in Rockport, TX. Amazing exhibits of local Maritime history of the Rockport area. The museum is located across from the pier where shrimp boats dock. Definitely put this on your "TO DO" list if you are in Rockport, TX.

Nice building, alright displays and everything looking up until trying to get to second and third levels. Elevator was not operating. It was really hard to climb two double flights of stairs for a 72 and 70 year old couple. We had to pay admission to boot. Not recommending to family or friends.
