REVIEWS OF Perot Museum of Nature and Science IN Texas

Rodney Ressling

Great place to take the kids or the parents that are geeks. The attraction has everything for everyone. The building that houses the Perot museum has a unique water conservation design.

Wilma Mullins

The employees really go out of their way to welcome you and help you with the experience. I really want to thank Mary, who was on the elevator and took us to the floor where my friend who is legally blind could have some hands on. She and Sandy brought out things a to feel and actually had us do some painting on a pumpkin for Halloween. As a Veteran, it was nice that they honor veterans and first responders with free admission.

Cherish Abell

I absolutely love this museum! We became members last year. My fiancé and I had our first date here and he proposed here in the gemstone exhibit! We are even having our wedding here! This is one of my favorite places in Dallas and it is wonderful for the whole family !

Tim Crafton

It's a great place to go. They do teacher discounts to where you can get free admission and also for first responders. This even carries over for discounts for family members. It takes at least three hours to go through even if you don't look and read everything. It has a lot of kids of all ages to do with interactive displays.

Joe Presley

Great museum with so much content you could spend hours there. Don't miss the earthquake simulator at the weather exhibit. The dinosaur exhibit is amazing and you can see real paleontologists at work! The space exhibit is really cool too!

Elizabeth Lovelady

The Perot Museum is a very attractively designed museum with lots of interactive exhibits on natural history and science. We were a group of four adults and I definitely felt like the museum was oriented toward a younger, family-friendly crowd. There was a small area where you could look through a window to watch scientists work cleaning fossils. There wasn’t any work being done while we were there, but looking at the tools and fossils was still interesting.

Jennifer Allen

Lego art exhibit was cool. Good for all ages. After that, spent another 2.5 hours per floor and still didn't get to see ALL displays. Some engineering displays didn't work or were low on the batteries. Worth going again to see the exhibits we missed and possibly take in another special exhibit.

Cordell Weathersbee II

My first time being here was so great! It was even more beautiful and amazing then I imagined it would be. Super nice staff, great interactive pieces. Overall loved everything. Can't wait to go back.

Will Beauchamp

Great museum for kids! First time visit and found interesting exhibits. Not the quantity I was expecting but if you have kids this is the museum to go to! Kids everywhere with hands on kids learning stations all over. Plenty of staff volunteers helping to.

Jessica Hooser

We had the GREATEST time here. Considering it was a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't too crowded. Staff was out and about on the floor. One was talking to kids in the dinosaur area about the difference in teeth that saw and teeth that penetrate armor! Another was showing kids with a small tool the electrical current from their hands! We paid an extra $10 each to see the Art of Blocks exhibit which was mind blowing. It was an amazing experience, we can't wait to go back!

Jo Ann Graham

Fascinating. Wonderful learning for all ages. Spectacular exhibits. Lots of hands on and interactive learning. Always something new for everyone in the family. Best place to take people visiting Dallas and a must for all residents.

Del Gutierrez

This place is a lot of fun and VERY interesting and informational. But it's big. There's a lot to do and see and read and after four hours, it was just overwhelming. Let's just GO was our prevailing attitude towards the end of the day. I suggest splitting it up over a couple of days to do all the exhibits justice.

Eric Elliott

A really top notch museum with lots of things to see and do. We were there on a day when there were over 2,000 field trip students and we still had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the activities. We have been to several other museums that have an abundance of defective exhibits, but that was not a problem at this Museum. Where the item was down, there were well-placed signs which shows an intention to bring them back up to working order. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Art of the Brick was worth the extra fee! Very cool. And we enjoyed the 3D show Oceans, Our Blue Planet. Fun for the whole family!! If we lived closer, we would definitely get the annual pass.

Jessica P

I came here to attend a birthday party. The museum is huge and you can explore many things and you need to keep at least 3 hours to cover every place. Kids below 6 of age may not beneficial much however there is a Children's Museum at the lower level for kids under 5 years of age. Love the water feature outside the museum.

Jessica Boyer

An educational experience for all ages. We spent over 4 hours looking at the general admission exhibits and The Art of The Brick special exhibit. Many hands on activities and interactive exhibits to keep the kiddos occupied throughout. A must see stop for anyone with children. A little pricey, but the kids were never bored. The Cafe also offered a wide range of food and snack options.

Mark Chiovitti

Lots to see and do here. The cafe to start was incredible. We grabbed some delicious snacks and coffee for our day. Wished we knew ahead of time we weren't allowed to bring the coffee into the museum, only bottled water. The exhibits were fantastic and we spent several hours walking around taking it all in.

Lara Nash

We have a lot of fun here as a family. There are exhibits to interest all ages. However, there are some more techy features, like touch screens and other electronic items, that haven't ever been functioning properly when we've seen them. That's been disappointing as they are highly interesting to our three-year-old.

Natalie Lomas

We've been members of this museum for years and my kids still enjoy every visit. They enjoy all the keystone exhibits that do not change, as well as the exhibits that change quarterly. This museum offers hours of indoor interactive learning fun as well as great views of downtown Dallas and outdoors fun leaping frogs and more!

Trevor Pace

Great science museum that my kids loved. Plan on spending at least four hours as there is plenty to do!

Ethan Ward

The Perot museum was very cool. It was interactive and educational. My main issue with it was how it was described as "for all ages". I disagree with this, it felt to be almost entirely for kids. If you have kids in mind then it's great!

CaramelTV

This is the BEST museum in Dallas BY FAR! It has a lot of Interesting and cool exhibits! It is more geared toward children, and it gets pretty crowded, but it still is great! This is a must when going to Dallas!

Heather C

My family & I throughly enjoyed this museum! The exhibits were very educational, it was clean, the food court was cool & had many options. The most memorable moment we remember was a very helpful volunteer named Gerald. He was a retired teacher & talked to us a few times. All in all a great experience!

Kristin Eckelkamp

My whole family loves visiting the Perot. We always find something new and interesting to learn.

Daryll Arellano

Start at the top work your way down levels. Take the time to absorb it all. Great experience

Jordyn D

Love this place. So amazing. Fun for kids of all ages (And adults too)! Great escape from this awful Texas heat! A little bit expensive so we don't come as often as we would like.

Sharone Katz

By far the best technology and science museum in the US for kids. Everything is accessible and showed in the most magnificent way. We've been here 6 times already and will continue. Doesn't get old.

Bindhushree M J

Extremely informative and engaging. Kids will love the place. You might need a whole day to actually enjoy it to the fullest. Worth every penny.

Jill Koeninger

Love the exhibits there. The Dinosaurs were fun and also the Lego Brick exhibition. Looking forward to spending more time there!

N Dunigan

Great place for adults and kids. I really enjoyed the Lego exhibit. Tons of interactive things in the engineering area that will keep everyone entertained for a long time. The membership fee is worth it because you will definitely be back!

Andrea Yagle

We went to see the LEGO exhibit. It was fun! The other exhibits are well done and very entertaining. There's a lot to see! The Cafe has a wide variety to choose from and does it's best to reuse, reduce, recycle. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked.

Amanda Wright

Gorgeous well done museum that is geered toward children however amazing for all ages! They have taken great lengths to think of accommodations for needs of all kinds. The exhibits are wonderfully immersive and make everyone to get involved. Parking can be a little tricky as it is across the street under the bridge, but it’s a great use of space. Love traveling to experience this amazing place!

S B

An absolute amazing place to take your family!!! You can easily spend 2 to 5 hours here enjoying all they have to offer. The children's museum is a great place to either join in your kiddos fun or simply relax while your kiddo has fun

Shelly Clark

Amazing exhibits focusing on Texas natural science past and present. Small enough to enjoy in an afternoon or longer with all the hands on exhibits. Food in the cafe was wonderful and staff was extremely pleasant! Enjoyed the movie Apollo 11 and the Art of the Brick exhibit! Absolute fun for all ages! I’ve recommended to friends with children and grandchildren! It’s a must see if you’re in Dallas!

Jen Pacheco

Great hands on exhibits for kids and adults! It takes most of the day/opening hours to get thru the museum. It's best to go early to see everything and hopefully beat the crowd. $10 parking and bring cash just in case the covered lot is full. The uncovered lot is cash only. We bring snacks (but you can only have bottled water in the exhibit areas) because the cafe is always crowded when we go.

David Braly

It was my first time going. We had a great time looking at all the exhibits. It is a kid friendly place as well. Lots of dinosaur bones and experiments for kids and adults. It is wheelchair accessible.

Daymon Capers

Even though there are a lot of positive reviews, I wasn’t a big fan and thought it was a little pricy for what you get. Maybe a little more tailored to kids than adults.

Joshua Lankford

Fantastic for kids and a great event venue. The staff is extremely helpful for the event.production agents and the shows produced go extremely well. A great place to host corporate events up to a few hundred people.

Randy Miller

Great learning environment for kids. Some of the information on certain displays (astronomy, energy generation and extraction) need updating with our current understanding of these fields. Nonetheless great for those just getting into or with an interest of natural sciences. My recommendation is ages 4+ if as a parent you want your child interested in the experience. Still great for families of all ages. My personal favorite was the gemstones and minerals exhibit. The staff was kind and helpful.

Exploring with Andrew CLARK

Wow I have to say I loved this place. Very amazing museum to go visit in see and learn about so much to do!

Melanie Schaab

There was plenty for my kids to do (ages 6, 4, and 20 months, all girls). We were there 9:45 am to 3 pm and they were busy the whole time. They didn't want to leave. The 6 yo loved the LEGO exhibit; we ended up splitting up so the 4 yo and 20 mo could play in the Children's Museum until the 6 yo was ready to join them. Then lunch outside, interspersed with the kids playing in the outdoor playground/splash pad. Then we went back inside and started with Floor 4 and worked our way down. We skipped the birds (Floor 5) because we didn't think we'd have enough time and the rocks/gems (Floor 3?) because most of the displays were too high for the kids to see in. Otherwise, we hit pretty much everything. My personal favorite was the interactive topographical map; you could move the sand to make deep waters or high mountains and the computer read the distance and projected a color-coded map onto it. I think my kids' favorite was the dinosaur dance; you stood under a camera and it read your movements and made the dinosaurs on the screen dance accordingly. We were all exhausted when we got home, but I told my husband we need to buy an annual family membership.

ansh Jhaveri

It was amazing. So many interactive spots. Great information and fun experience overall.

Laina Le

This place is a lot of fun! A great place to go and learn and see some really cool stuff. There are about 4 floors and plenty to see on all of them with a restroom on every floor, there are kind of a lit of stairs but there is an elevator too. We went when they were having the Art of the Brick exhibit and it was super cool! Totally worth the 10 dollars. At the end there was an area for kids to play with legos. On the same floor (bottom floor) there is also a sports room that is worth checking out!

Jennifer Hayley

We have season passes to the Perot Museum and always have a good time when we go. The new installations are always fun as well as the 3-D movies. I always enjoy spending the day with my son here and discovering new things we missed the times before. We always enjoy lunch and the pizza is good.

Quynh Saporito

Great science museum for people who aren't that into science. Displays are easy to understand and hands on. I wish I arrived earlier to see the workers at the new Paleo Lab where you can see staff actually remove rock from real fossils (their shift had ended). I went on a Monday afternoon when the museum was not crowded at all. Floor staff are incredibly knowledgeable and eager to explain exhibits. It was like having a private tour. It was so much fun!

Eva M. Cordell

This museum was the best I'd been to in a while. Honestly, it beats the Smithsonian. Each floor is a different section, and in each section are labs where people are working on actual scientific discoveries. All of the floors are very interactive and interesting.

Charles Hollins

Had a great time with the kids. Can't wait to come back without the kids so I can take my time and read all of the great exhibits at my own pace. We did the Apollo 11 show at the theatre and it was worth it. Note to parents: Bring a change of clothes for the kids if you plan on letting them play in the water outside the entrance.

Becky Leeson

It is a really fun place. The expositions touch on many interesting topics, ranging from dinosaurs to earthquakes. Be prepared to walk. But don't worry too much, as there are lots of benches spread around the museum.

Tina Rice

Always a great visit. The elevators are almost impossible to use in a timely fashion. My son is 3 and has mobility issues, stairs are hard for him but he hates being "helped". The wait time for elevators is so long it exceeds his attention span and he loses interest in moving on to the next exhibit he just wants to leave. The museum is amazing, otherwise.

Ted Fetner

What a great museum. It is so good on many levels. There is something for everyone; all ages. The interactive exhibits are fun and educational. Dinosaurs, birds, humans, stars, planets, EVERYTHING! a fantastic learning experience while have nothing but fun! Can't wait to go back!

Justin Shields

This place is fantastic! Their are so many fun and intriguing way for kids and adult to learn at the Perot Museum. Almost everything has a hands on way or video to teaching you something. The building in broken up by floors geared towards specific areas so you can start at the top and work you way down. Each floor is something new. We've loved it so much that we have done two birthday parties for our kids here and those have been pretty awesome. Someone hosts the party and goes over the science based activities. You have the room afterwards for cake and presents. Super simple and fun for the kids. We are so happy to have this museum in our city!!!

Christopher Moloney

GREAT! Probably the best museum in Dallas and one of the most interesting museums in the country. This is definitely worth a visit and an extended afternoon! Family friendly and there is a lot to offer here for all ages. If you plan to come more than once, get a membership.

Chloe Walden

Great museum! The rock and mineral portion is fantastic, as well as the paleontological specimens. It's got a beautiful design and its within walking distance of the aquarium.

Deborah Villanueva

I drove a school bus with a relatively small group. I went inside and was blown away at how clean and nice everything was. The bathrooms were amazingly clean and the staff at the snack bar were all wearing gloves and cooking good clean food. The gift shop was well kept and clean and bright. The exterior of the building was well kept also. I wanna go back and take my husband and my grand children!

Pearl Lee

One of the best museums in the DFW area. Love the dinosaur levels and the special exhibit - The Art of Brick. My husband and I highly recommend becoming members of the Perot because it has reciprocity with 350+ museums all over the country, including the USS Intrepid in NYC, Space Museum in Houston, and Field Museum in Chicago.

Armando Perez

Love this place. We have a family membership so we go frequently and always bring visitors to experience the museum. So many levels to explore. I never gets old for me. Perot also hosts special adult events on occasion. Go!!!

Gaurav Mittal

A highly recommend place if you have interest and enjoy museums. The informations are precise and very sequencial. Impressive.... The theatre movies continue to change regularly. Ensure to check out the movie being screened, before planning....

denice wallace

This place has lots to do for kids and adults. Every one learns something and has fun while doing it. The 'Braniacs' that were at each area gave just enough information to keep you interested, but not bored. Loved it and will go back!

Hachie Baker

What an inspiring structure. Walking in through the SE approach you are drawn to learn. Once inside you will be captivated for no less than 4 hours to see all the exhibits. Most interestingly the dinosaurs of the fourth floor. Also make time to see the special visiting exhibit. Currently the art of the Brick, a number of famous art pieces recreated of Lego.

Elizabeth Gadsby

This isn't your normal, run of the mill museum. They have a good number of interactive exhibits that do a good job of actually teaching visitors about the science rather than just doing a lot of reading. There is also a splash pad outside the entrance that is pretty awesome. My reason for a 4 star rating is that they are a bit small for the number of visitors that they get and if you don't enjoy being elbow to elbow with other people for extended periods of time, plan your visit carefully or just don't go.

pollo V

Came here with our cub scout pack. We booked as a group to get the $12 ticket price. We had almost double the amount of guest sign up after the fact and still got the same rate for them. Cafe is very chaotic and expensive. Cooks/servers have no organization where not the friendliest but the cashiers where awesome and fast. The exhibits were pretty good and each floor had at least one hands on activity. The hands on activities tend to have a line. The basement has a kid play are but it's only for kids younger than six.

Richard Coleman

There was some really cool things here, especially the gems from around the world and the dinosaur skeletons. And for you aviation types, they even have a T-56 engine. The museum starts at the top of the building and you work your way down. The cool thing is that they don't force you into the gift shop.

Eduardo Trevino

A big Science Project! Foods a little expensive, not many outdoor options. Awesome experience though. 8/10 recommend.

Angela Atkins

My family and I love the Perot Museum! The kids always enjoy themselves and ask to go back the very next day. It’s nice, clean, educational, and affordable. I love the Art of the Brick exhibit. It’s by far my favorite.I recommend getting there early and staying until closing to take advantage of everything. The kids love taking advantage of the outside features. I normally grab a drink and snack to consume while they play. I highly recommend!!!!!!

Beny Raja

Beautiful place to visit and lot of information about evolution, stones, planets, Dino, birds, science and all good stuff was there. It would take at least one full day to visit this place.

Dan Griffiths

Interesting and fun. It is easy to park and walk through the museum. Lots of activities for the kids. We all enjoyed our visit.

ver swank

Lots of cool things to see and look at. I love science so it was very entertaining. Reserve at LEAST 4 hours to spend here

a traveling Mom

Honestly, I think because of the how huge and unique the building is, I was expecting a little more in the way of exhibits. It’s a great museum for younger kids. Very interactive on every floor. We had a fun first visit, but it’s not enough to keep us going back with teens time and time again (like the natural science museum in Houston). It’s very heavy on the teaching of evolution, more so than other museums we’ve visited. We rented a wheelchair for free. Everything is easily accessible in it. Staff is friendly.

Ernest Margaryan

Yes... Great for all ages! Educational as well as plenty of fun, be prepared to spend an entire day there, it's amazing and SO worth it! Has a cafe, so you don't need to leave the place for lunch. Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone

Savannah Breedlove

This museum was clean but completely not what we expected at all. Not very many hands on experiences. The elevators take awhile. We had fun it was something new to experience just not really what we expected it to be.

Trever Cass

I love this museum! The permanent exhibits are updated occasionally to keep things fresh and the traveling exhibits are always interesting and engaging for ages 5 to 105. I only give it 4/5 starts because the non member price of tickets can be a little prohibitive for larger families or lower income situations. If you plan on attending more that twice in a year, i suggest a membership. The discounts on films and traveling exhibits, members only hours and events, discounts at the museum gift shop and Cafe make it a worth it.

Brittany Smith

We always love visiting. All the exhibits are well done. Get there early to beat the crowds. Outside area has some water features to play in to beat the heat. Kids favorite is usually the bird flying simulator. Stroller friendly. Food at the restaurant is excellent with lots of healthy options. The current LEGO exhibit is fun and felt more like art than I would have guessed.

Rebecca Fletcher

Several exhibits are only open till 3. Kids water play on LL was closed. That's my daughter's favorite part. Cool escalator on bldg side was closed too.

Drew Troxler

Great museum for people of all ages. I went primarily to check out the Lego art temporary exhibit and it was completely mind-blowing. I would definitely recommend a visit just for that. Excellent collection of gemstones and minerals and the educational content is great for younger kids but also leaves something there for the adults too.

Angela Ekpa

What a great place to spend the day!! So many levels with great interactive exhibits. A wonderful place for kids to learn and love science!! We had a blast can I cannot wait to bring my 2 boys next time to experience everything this museum has to offer!!

Gum Shoe

Went to the Perot Museum to see the sculptures of world-renowned artist Nathan Sawaya. The Art of the Brick is the name of the exhibit. I wasn't sure if I could appreciate something created using Lego's but I was pleasantly surprised. Nathan's artwork is imaginative and fun. The Easter Island statue replica is to scale and is very cool. The exhibit is $25 per person which is steep but the art fires your imagination and is a fun time. I recommend the exhibit.

Cecille Lopez

Excellent place to learn and have fun! I always volunteer here and let me tell you, it's such a wonderful place. You never get bored here, the staff is always polite and patient. The kids have fun as there are interactive games to play with. The food is also very delicious! The souvenir shop has the cutest souvenirs!

Nicholas K

We had a fun time here as they have many interesting exhibits for all ages and also have a lot of interactive activities. Each floor is divided up into different subjects with different interactive attractions. This is a great place to bring your kids or even yourself if you are a science geek like me .

Michael Garrison

This place was so cool. Good for the kids nut in my opinion better for the adults who are still kids at heart. They offer discounts for vets and disability people. You have to visit at least once

Cheyenne Weems

Such a amazing place. For family. Couples or just to get out!

Kamilla Stark

The Museum is not worth the money at all especially if you ever visited any other natural history museum in another city this place is great outside but terrible inside. If you value your tailgate don’t park in the parking lot under the highway we were 35 minutes in the museum and our tailgate was stolen with cashier sitting there and security swearing that made rounds 10 minutes before us coming to the parking lot. Very disappointing.

Arthur Pang

Fantastic place for children all ages. The exhibits are interactive and very educational. The children museum in the lower level has an area for water play, grocery store play, a conveyor to move foam blocks, and even an outdoor sandbox. The cafe's food was decent enough for my child. We had mac and cheese, carrots, fruits, and sweet potato tater tots. I highly recommend this museum over the aquarium.

Caleb Lack

One of the most well designed science museums I have been to (and I’ve hit a number of them across the US). Fun for adults and youth alike. Our favorite part was the hands on bio-labs, where those 8 years and up can go through a real life experiment!

Teresa Persun

This was our first time here and we LOVED it! It was not just educational but it kept my 10 year old son engaged and not wanting to leave. Great place to spend a couple of hours!

JustAnotherGearhead

Plenty of fun learning and discovery exhibits for the whole family...this museum may just be step above the rest.

Ali Emam

Amazing experience at the Perot Museum. We invited our customers to dinner with the dinosaurs! Everybody really enjoyed the unique dining experience!

abbby

Great museum, lots of exhibitions and things for adults and kids to do, very hands on, clean and big! I went with my daughter and school group I'm pretty positive I will go back by myself! lol I want to go and walk around and really see everything!

Uli Homburg-McKye

Very informative and well demonstrated in the multi level museum! Loved the different areas and especially the fossil section. Great place to take your family and learn something new in a true interactive environment.

Anil Gangur

Must visit place for kids. It has everything for all different interests. They have exhibits on space, minerals and gems, Fossils, Birds, Innovation etc The General admission is just $ 20 and in most of the Museums if you take a package, it works out cheaper, here it doesn’t matter. You can add movies or any other special exhibits later without paying extra. They have enough parking across street for just $ 10 for entire day. The cafe had lot of options and has options for Vegetarians as well. The store has some cool stuff as well

Weston Taylor

Fun museum with demonstrations and hands-on stuff for children. Plan to spend at least a few hours there. We liked the top floor with dinosaurs, but the other floors were fun, too, especially the basement for toddlers. When we visited, they had some fun physical challenges, such as racing sports figures, animals, or prehistoric creatures.

Kevin Greene

Hey you all. First it's a science museum, second it is classy, third it is walkable to DART trains and finally it has cool exhibits. A great asset in Dallas's portfolio of culture! If this had a sixth star it would get one. Also one hint not many people know is try the architecture tour of the building..... probably the coolest museum tour I had in years!!

Roderick Ephraim

Lots and I mean lots of interesting and beautiful displays of archeology, animals and human life. Definitely worth a visit and great for a family outing.

Mikaela M

So, many, exhibits. Fun! My two year old found lots and lots of interesting stuff, even though he's too young to read the plaques. Highly recommend. We were there for 1.5hours and could have stayed longer, though I feel like we had an amazing experience anyway. Tickets for 2-12yo are $13. And 13-64yo are $20. So that made me hesitant to go, but we loved it. I would say money worth it, for the fun, and for the curiosity it builds.

Pratik J

Amazing museum, well designed, entertaining for kids as well as adults.Undoubtedly a good weekend day to spend roaming through multiple floors spanning from space to human evolution. Initially was a bit skeptical if this would be a good place for adults or just something kids would enjoy. It was interesting throughout. Museum is designed to take you to the top floor and come down as you finish each level. Beautiful downtown views from inside the museum as it's pretty high up at top level. Each level takes 30-40 mins depending on your level of curiosity. Helpful staff as well. Staff : A Parking : A+ Plenty of parking opposite to museum and under the bridge. Exhibits : A- Location : A+ Food : C Recommend the museum but not the food. Over priced and underwhelming. Very important to eat before you visit the place.

Helena Williams

This place is awesome! There is so much to see & do. Ample physical & mental interaction for all ages.

Carina Metso

Nice museum. The best part was the toddler section in the basement. My only complaint was most of the elevators weren’t working, which made it tough with a baby in a stroller.

Milton Pulliza

What an interesting place. Was well thought out. Enjoyed all of the exhibits. Anyone from the museum that I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Looking forward to visiting again.

Angelica Stuczynski

It's awesome. Great for people of all ages. Very informative but stills has fun activities u can take part in and lots of cool stuff to look at. Also has bomb movies

Latedra Gladney

We love it! We've been a few times. The elevators suck but that's what stairs are for. We'll be getting a membership for sure. Great date place, great family day place. People are nice and always helpful and reaching out every time we go.

Cooper Vanover

A perfect place for people of all ages. While basic admission could be considered a little pricey you definitely get what you pay for. Hours of time can be spent here and you’ll have a blast. Currently have been twice and can’t wait to go back eventually!

David Tourtillott

We recently moved to the area and while looking for things to do, found The Perot. We loved it so much in it first visit, especially the kids play space, that we became members. We've already been back once and plan to take many more trips.

Alexandra LaCour

We always love a good visit to the Perot museum but Kera made our trip today extra special. She was so energetic and helpful. Truly a delight.

Kendall Larson

This was a very cool museum. It’s a bit pricey but it was a nice trip. A ton of dinosaur fossils. Probably don’t need to go more than once but it’s very cool.

Jimmy Schuster

We had a blast! We will have to go back soon. Plenty of parking under the interstate and a short walk to the museum. Wear comfortable shoes and plan to spend most of the day to see everything.

Jamal Holmes

Great place. Wonderful family experience. Lots to do and see. Went with my 12 and 14 year olds and they had a blast. Lots of Summer camp kids there on our visit, but didn't feel crowded. Staff was great also. Remember, start at the top and work your way down.

Emma Caldwell

Great for all ages! Educational as well as plenty of fun, be prepared to spend an entire day there, it's amazing and SO worth it! Has a cafe, so you don't need to leave the place for lunch. Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone

Alexander Squibbs

This is an awesome place to explore science! Start your journey by going to the top floor using the stairs, elevator, or the escalator! Explore sections of the museum from the top, all the way to the bottom! This place is guaranteed to give fun to children! Personally, my favorite floor is the technology and human sciences floor.

Athena Fisher

My son loves the Perot! We had the membership and loved it. I will need to renew it! We went throughout the year...I personally loved the Lego exhibit. The museum is always a good spot for the weekend. Also, with the membership you have earlier access which gives you more time to look around! I like how there activities to do outside as well. My son always has fun! Always am able to enjoy the exhibits. We took my nephew today and he absolutely loved the museum and we only went through two floors. We also renewed our membership so as a member, your able to go an hour early before the museum opens to the public. Going early it’s not as crowded, you can take your time and enjoy it at a slower pace.

A Stone

Pricey, but it was a great experience, today, for us. Got there at 9, not super busy. But most of the area kiddos are back in school or about to be

Alex H

All the exhibits are very informative. You can tell thought went into everything. The Children's area is great for toddlers. I really appreciated how stroller-friendly it was. I also enjoyed the exhibit on native Texas wildlife. The bird song recordings and other such sensory experiences were nice! I recommend using metered street parking instead of the official parking lot.

Spent the day here with my daughter and 3 grandsons. So great, for kids and adults. Loved answering questions that my grandsons had. I highly recommend this museum. Makes learning fun!

A large and lovely you can spend your whole day there without realizing it's about to close. The exhibits are varied and well done so you'll find something that you like. Also the gift shop is wonderful for someone who enjoys science or any of the exhibits.

Kailea Gutierrez

Such a fun museum! If you live in the area or are just visiting, I highly recommend you check the Perot out! You won’t be disappointed. Parking can be kind of confusing but it isn’t anything too difficult to figure out. Staff is helpful and kind!

Great exhibits. Awesome play area for little kids. Affordable!

Mister Jon

Beautiful museum. It's a somewhat small museum in terms of the items on display. Kids and adults will enjoy it.

Jorge Gutierrez

I must say we were impressed. A lot to see, and a lot to do. My 19 month old loved the dinosaur exhibit, and the human exhibit. The museum is very big, and we didn't even get to explore it all. Definitely worth the money and worth going.

Jorge Moreno

Awesome place for my kids and I. One of the best places to spend some quality educational fun times with your kids.

Austin Rautio

Seams like a great place to bring your kids. There are plenty of informational and interactive displays to spend your time on. Wouldn't recommend for adults who aren't bringing children as the whole museum is kinda dedicated to simple exhibits.

Prashant

Great place for kids and adults. We bought the family membership for the year and have been to the museum nearly 6-7 times. My 5 year old son has lots of fun and each time I also learn something new. Members get discounts on parking, special shows, in the cafeteria and on many more things. Definitely worth it.

Don Fortner

Excellent no matter how old you are. Mainly geared towards school aged kids, but I'm 65 and loved it!

Samantha Ayers

This museum is more of a park and shopping area than a museum. The other museums in the area offer much more and are there for teaching, not your money. I had wanted to go to this museum since it opened and I have to say I was disappointed, it's all targeted at young families and doesn't offer an intriguing learning experience. Sure, it's interactive but bird noises and VR bird flight simulators on top of the water park just makes it a great place to waste a lot of time and look at bland displays. I would only go with small children, other than that it doesn't seem to be worth the time or money to go.

Matthew Evans

A diverse and fascinating museum. They've got so far to provide a ton of wonderful exhibits on not just modern science but historical science to see how it has developed over the centuries. A great place to bring your kiddos.

Michael Pless

Who wouldn't love science when it's presented in an interesting and digestible way? The Perot is at least a day's time well-spent, particularly if you have children, with many exhibits suitable for them as well as adults. Even the little cafeteria was excellent, with good food at very reasonable prices. Wonderful staff are on-hand, especially at the far end of the dinosaur level, explaining the minutia of her vocation. Can't recommend this museum highly enough.

Siddharth Gore

Amazing fun for kids and adults alike (you start to realize there's really not much difference if you're curious). Enough content to spend the day there exploring.

Kevin Morris

This place has a great layout and something for just about every member of the family. With the kids area that helps them with movement as well as basic knowledge of animals, how water flows, how to dig for bones and how food gets to the market it is hours of fun. Then you have the different floors dedicated to different aspects of science, from space to dinosaurs there are so many things to see it definitely takes multiple trips to see everything.

This is a really fun place. Anyone can go, not just kids but adults to. There is lots of fun activities for everyone. This is probably the best museum I have been to. The “staff” I guess you could say, were very helpful if you were trying to get somewhere. Like the dinosaur exhibit. All in all it’s great to take your kids and family.

Stacy Kader

Great museum. Only did 4 stars due to the cost and the fact that you can be done in less than 2 hours. But very clean. Staff nice.

Mary Cruse

Special exhibits, a film theater, and excellent exhibits on Space, Dinosaurs, and hands on science. I loved the fossils best! A giant mammoth next to a dire wolf skeleton, and many others, plus a mold of dinosaur footprints from Mt Denali in Alaska. I watched the 3D 40-minute film Superdogs. It was well done and people of all ages seemed to enjoy the documentary storytelling style of these amazing lifesaving dogs.

Cassie Hauschildt

Amazing! We went the Art of the Brick and then my 5 month old enjoyed the kids museum. We spent two hours here and didn't leave the basement!! We will definitely come back. It was such an amazing time I found myself wanting to thank every single employee I saw, even if they didn't contribute to our experience, solely because we had so much fun!!

$20 per adult, $11 per child, plus $10 for parking. Small families will pay $70 and larger families $100+ for a day at the museum. I would honestly expect a larger facility and greater capacity at the various learning stations for the price of admission.

Hayden Rummel

The exhibits are excellent. I especially liked how everything had a Dallas/Texas perspective (like all the dinosaur fossils are from the area). Can definitely get crowded if a bunch of kids show up (we were there without any of our own). If you have a chance, the Lego exhibit is really worth it.

Brian

Be prepared to make it an all day event. The museum is always great when we go. When we are finished we head out front so the kids can play in the water, make some music on the instruments they have, and just - be outside. Food court is reasonably priced and the food is good. Surprised to find they were now serving Beyond Burgers. Salad bar is available. It was clean. Manager walked around to ensure everything was satisfactory. Easy all day event. Will go back and recommend you give it a shot as well.

Absolutely worth it. An amazing place if there's not a lot of children around. A lot of the exhibits are interactive and you can touch, try them out and experiment with them. It's fun for both adults and children. My favorite floors are the crystals, the human engineering and astronomy. But you can also find abundant exhibits of dinosaurs, birds, Earth, Nuclear engineering, weather, etc. Many of them are interactive. Not an ordinary science museum for sure. Definitely recommend.

Edward Mcmahon

Our family has had a membership here for a year now, and it is great. The exhibits don’t change much but our kids always love coming to see the dinosaurs, planets, and various other exhibits. On the lower level they have a wonderful play area for children, toddlers, a pretend campsite and other activities. Afterwards there is a play area out front for the kids with frogs and water where they can cool off on a hot day. With membership parking is the only thing we pay for for a few hours of fun for the family.

Geeky fun galore! Find respite in this multi level science and nature museum. Delight in the well presented displays - from gems and natural stones, science & technology floor, to prehistoric dinosaur giants, and wonderful guest exhibits (at the top level). The kid area and playful entrance configuration will leave you and your toddlers delighted.

Absolutely stunning building. Both inside and outside. My family thoroughly enjoyed it and the shaded parking Haha. Highly recommended.

Adelina Vongpanya

This is a gem in the middle of the city. It's a great place to bring the whole family. The outside area is fun filled activities area for kids. There's a water area to wet your feet, walk the river. When you walk inside, you hear the chatter from everyone in the cafe area to the shops to the museum itself. The store has all kinds of gifts gilly can take with you as souvenirs. So fun.

Atari Harikari

Awesome and QUALITY learning experience for all ages as always! Alot too do and I truly suggest giving yourself at least 3 hours for a full advantage of the beautiful building and its adventures to be had. With that being said, this is my third trip here this past yr and a half. Whenever, its a day " to go do something neat with my daughter day ( everyday but practical, right?). Instead of the park I've opted to make a good hour and a half of our time here and have never had a regret!

Joseph Payne

Make sure you have plenty of time to take in everything! This place is huge and nearly everything little thing is an exhibit or an activity. Great for kids and adults both!
