Lots of lost history here in Palacios Texas. The potential for the are like many others in and along the coast are being lost by a lack of any sort of a development plan for these coastal towns. I would like to see the state of Texas pick it up and make things happen for the region especially since it has great history to be shared by all..

Plenty of relics and a display of World War 2 camp. LaSalle relics. No fee but donations accepted. Bathrooms in the back. This is an old building that has been converted into a museum. Friendly staff.

Interesting local history displays and friendly staff. It covers a century of Palacios history, Camp Hulen, Hurricane Carla and the La Belle ship and La Salle exploration. Soon it will have artifacts from the ship.

We just happened by the museum and popped in. The displays were interesting and gave a history of the area we were not aware of. The docent that was there had an incredible amount of information about the history of the area. We were very happy that we took the time to visit this museum. It is always great to have the opportunity to learn something new about an area you love!
