This is probably the funnest art museum. It's spy donation and I would say it's very interactive without meaning to be as an art exhibit.

Tieg Grayson

I would say this is one to Dallas' best offerings. It is free and provides quite the entertainment. The art changes 4 times with year with some permeant pieces too. The art is exciting and colorful, kids would like this place too.

If yall like using my knowledge of the DFW as guide then I am telling yall the truth! Haven't been but wanted to have my engagement party here. I am unsure to what is happening there but me and my fiance could never get a clear cut way we could make that happen. They have contracts drawn up for these type of events but when we called or sent emails we were getting two different stories. It is a huge disappointment because this idea would have been dope. I will never enter this place. The way they've treated my wedding planner was also unacceptable. Smh. Sad story.

The Geometric MADI is a gem for Dallas and all of Texas. I went all the way to Argentina to learn about the MADI movement then discovered this precious museum right here in Dallas.

I just happened upon this museum. Its small and intimate, very in the Turtle Creek area. Docent showed us around, gave gook info. Donations accepted..no entrance fee.

Renee P

This small museum is dedicated to geometric art. There are hundreds of works from around the world presented from the permanent collection and a gallery with rotating shows. Ask any of the staff or volunteers for help with a question. Very friendly.

If MADI is your thing you should check it out.

Great place to take the kids on the weekend. The place is free so it will not hurt the pocket. My kids loved all the colors and shapes they got to see. I have a seven, a six and a one year old. It is a small museum so, if you're making a drive from out of town, try to plan something to do in conjunction with this museum.

Erica Cole

Incredible experience. I don't go to many art galleries/museums, but this one takes the cake. Besides being the home to a staggering amount of pieces in such a small place, the MADI museum is cozy, diverse, and relaxed. During my visit, there was a bit of construction snd some unfinished rooms, but that didn't bother me. I like my independence when exploring new places and that's just what I got: an intimate, self-led tour of the building holding some of the most intricate artwork I've ever seen. Although this museum is free, it DOES run on donations, which I was sure to give. The staff is highly charismatic and friendly. There are easily accessed bathrooms on the ground floor, and the hallway to get to them is full of art as well! I highly recommend stopping by here whenever possible

Not the best museum of your life, probably not. But you won't be able to forget it, it's a unique place. I love it

Faith Akinmade

It was an interesting place to be. There are lots of geometric, abstract, and non-objective art works. You also get to make your own artwork. The only problem is that it is a small place.

Ben E

A hidden gem and truly a wonderful museum.

This intriguing and small 2 floor museum was a pleasure to visit, most of the peices are MADI or geometric art. Admission and parking is free and the staff is extremely helpful and nice! Totally recommend :)

I think that as far as art goes, this is pretty bad. Just go to the DMA.

The museum is quite small and unorganized. But where it lacks in size and organization, it makes up in friendliness by the lady who runs it and by cool geometric art!

Un museo casi olvidado pero con riqueza artística e histórica del movimiento MADI. Es gratis y hay exhibiciones por temporada. Mucho grabado y escultura geométrica.

FIRST OF ALL, this is not your typical museum. . . No, ignore that within the corridors is a law office, and other offices (which reminds me of the Stanley Parable, PC game. . .) rather, as you peruse the unassuming exhibit, you will find many art that will demand your attention (literally) and will fold out like animatronics, or will be noticed from behind a veil (should you peak?) and realize it's dancing in the dark, and you must give it your attention least you find yourself oblivious to the reality that it exists, and forever perplexed to the strange sounds from behind that veil (impressively, the exhibits originate from the 1960's, and have been fully operational from that time.) Don't miss this exhibit, and also check out the gift shop to the left, after you've walked up the stairs from the entrance to your right. It's FREE!

One of the best kept museum secrets in dallas. Most definitely recommend this place!

Cody Vineyard

Smaller museum space wise, but it had a ton of art. I had a day off of work during the week and was given a pretty extensive tour by a very friendly/knowledgable staff member. It's free, but donations are always accepted.

Really cool art and interesting facts about it. For free!

If you can handle modern art and like the architecture of the Art Deco period, I highly recommend this place. Unlike most modern art, 2D slaps of paint on a canvas, these works are rather geometrical and have a lot of 3D aspects, some which have movement. Don't forget to go upstairs...I almost missed out! It is free to get in but a $5 donation for there newsletter is recommended..... it's worth the donation! (If for nothing else, an escape off the Katy Trail in August heat!!!)

The term "museum" is a relative term, I suppose. I'd say gallery, given its tiny size. The sign at the door said they were closed, but it was open...we nearly turned away. When we walked in, the man at the front desk neither greeted us nor even made eye contact. Not a welcoming place. And the "art?" A collection of grade school class projects. Meh.

MADI is a unique must-see for those visiting Texas and even locals who have yet to go. It is a free location, but donations are accepted to help keep it running. It's not too far from DFW Airport making it a great last stop!

Loved all the unique artworks. Totally recommend!

We checked out the museum of Geometric and MADI art over Spring Break. It had a wide variety of very cool and interesting art pieces. Our one disappointment was that on the particular day & time we came, nobody was working the desk to answer questions or sell from the gift shop. We were able to drop our donation in the jar, but that was it. There is a law office that operates upstairs and I would suggest you be sure to head up there to check out the art in the halls, and don't miss the hanging quilt on display by Sue Benner (scientist turned artist).

Catherine E. Thomas

One of my favorite places on Earth. Puts my soul at ease. I think about this wonderful place so often, and can't wait to go back again very soon!

Brandilyn Stigler

This museum is a hidden gem! It is free and packed with so much interesting art: from paintings to sculptures, structured pieces to abstract ones. I look forward to returning!
