Small, well curated museum that is an easy afternoon. The attendant was extremely familiar with the history and personable enough to make it fun. Several buildings with various themes including rail history, Dr and specialty equipment from the area, a coca cola display and an intriguing display about the near by air Base and it's role in our nuclear strikes.

It's a must see in the area, the guide is so nice to tour us around and tell historical stories. The rooms are AC cooled to give a good feeling when the sun is up and high. And did I said its free.

We enjoyed our time visiting all the different museums. We were the only ones there and the caretaker opened the doors for us. She was very knowledgeable on any questions we asked. We were very impressed because she did it all. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience.

We visited the Million Barrel Museum in Monahans, TX, today and were so impressed! There is so much on display to see. If you find yourself driving down I-20 between Pecos and Odessa, this is well worth a stop. Make sure to bring your camera and plan several hours to see what they have to offer.
