This is the best museum of it's kind d we've ever been to! The volunteers that run the place are incredible - friendly, knowledgeable, encouraging. This museum is quite Hands-On and allows children and adults to touch the items they have there. They have a large library of books and resources. The displays are absolutely beautiful and very well done. While I am a liberal Snowflake and not a fan of guns and ammo, I found this to be one of the best museums I have ever been to!

Amy Graham

Love this non profit museum. You'll see some things here you won't see anywhere else.

So glad we visited this museum. Cowboys often get all the attention so it was fun to see cowgirls being highlighted and their accomplishments and contributions recognized. As a child I had a Annie Oakley costume (saw one in the exhibit almost exactly like what I had), and I was so impressed by her.

Mike Washington

The selection here from all of the veterans and their families was pretty extensive. The people who run the museum were so happy to be there and were very knowledgeable of the displays. Admission is cheap for civilians and free for veterans and active duty.

Be sure to call before you take the time to go there. We went up on 10/09/15 and it was closed on a day it was advertised to be open. Peering through the windows led us to believe that it hadn't been open for a long time. Went out to the Texas Civil War museum on 820 and it was great.

Tishua Knight

Really cool, very interesting.

We went right before they closed but they let us walk through. I am so happy to find this little gem!! I have been to many many military museums but this one will give them all a run for their money. Very much enjoyed it.

Awesome little museum. You can actually hold some of the weapons. It has very good displays, don't let its little size fool you. It's worth a visit and well worth the small admission fee.

Jeanine Thompson

Their new location at the Fort Worth Stockyards is way better than the old one. The staff is very nice and some of the artifacts are really cool! I love the machine guns they have on display. The WW1 uniforms are in mint condition, so their collection is pretty impressive. Love the fact that all the FW stockyards restaurants are within walking distance.

This is a great museum to go to. It's a little small, but they have a bunch of history items to look at. They don't have anything from OEF (Afghanistan), but they have stuff from WWI until OIF. The staff are really friendly and my daughter enjoyed talking to them. If your in the Ft. Worth area I highly reccomend you come here.

Melanie Medina

Wonderful experience. Volunteer staff member, Mike, was very knowledgeable and showed my 9-year-old son how several different machine guns worked.

Truth N. Honesty

What an amazing experience! I was genuinely impressed and moved by the wide display of memorabilia and artifacts. What moved me most had to be one of the letters written by a soldier... wow. God bless America, and have mercy on the poor souls of every one who fought and died on any battlefield. What a horrible way to live and die, but what an honorable sacrifice to make.

Vince

Justin and Ty were very well educated and super friendly. As a vet myself I am fascinated with history. Awesome experience with some truly phenomonal exhibits. The hands-on area was fun too being able to hold and feel the weapons and gear. Definitely recommended!
