This Museum is included in the category of Museum.
Is not very big, perfect for kids 3ish.. 4-8 in my opinion.
Such a cool place! My almost 4 year old had a BLAST. Spent 2 hours there but easily could've stayed another hour or two. This place is like a tiny-town for kids to explore, equipped with a mock grocery store, bank, ambulance, police vehicle, vet clinic, diner, and too much more to name. There were kids of all ages here also having fun with the "science" displays. Probably best for kids ages 2-10.
Love this place! The staff are so friendly and the location is so close to home!! The kids always have a great time and I love that I don't have to deal with the downtown museum district to take them!
Perfect place for the family to have fun with the little members of the family as well!! Nice clean and you can plan celebrations/birthdays here in advance. We all had a great time.
My kids really enjoyed their visit. However, there needs to be a warning posted at the entrance warning parents that latex balloons are used in the building. My nephew has spina bifida and a severe latex allergy. He was unable to come in because the staff was using latex balloons for an experiment & there were discarded balloons all over the play area.
It is a great place to visit with kids. Not too little not too big area, easy to keep an eye on the kids.
A bit crowded even during the weekdays, but overall a nice place to put your kids there for a whole day without problem. Kids love to drive cars, pretend cooking or serving in a restaurant, working in the farm and bank, or mimic doctors and police. The place is small and cool that involves almost every aspect of social life. I highly recommend it.
Great educational fun for the little one.
I went there on Spring break for the first time with my 3 girls (8,5,3) and they had a great time. We went in the morning before all the crowd arrived. The place is small compared to the Children museum downtown but its clean and the kids easily can enjoy it for a couple of hours. They don't have a cafeteria so you should bring a snack for your child and maybe a cup of coffee for you :)
it was ok, not great but it was very expensive and some things didn't work
Cool place, a little pricey though
Fantastic spot! Perfect day out for the kids. Lots of different activities for kids of all ages
Super fun learning experience for the kids. Lots of different types of activities suited for a wide range of children. Their cultural exhibits are fantastic too!
I prefer to take my kids here rather than chuck e cheese or trampoline parks because they get to explore and learn how things work. We love this place! Sometimes the volunteers/employees do start to put things away or clean while the kids are still using it, which makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. For example, if they have markers, glue, and scissors infront of them while doing crafts, the volunteers would come put these things in the bin. I get that they have to keep it tidy and I always make my kids put away their items when they are done making something but its crafts... give them time to just finish atleast! Other than that, it is definitely always a fun outing for us.
Great for elementary kids, good that it is not so far!
This place is really fun for the kids! We liked this place because our kids is finally off from the iPad and actually doing something! Everything here in this place has a history and I’m just happy that they reuse this historical place for something so meaningful for the next generation! I hope we have more places like this in Houston for the kids to enjoy! #realtoredwardwang
Too expensive for that place, I would rather go for other adcenture play area for kids than to pay so much for that little area. If prices are brought down, then it would be worth it but entry fee is way beyond what is been offered in therr
This is kind of a mini version of the children's museum downtown (you can use your membership at both). It has its own Kidtropolis, which is a favorite with my kids, and a physics discovery area. There's also a Tot Spot for kids 35 months and under. It's not very big, but that's a plus if you have young children that tend to run off. The parking lot is small and in bad shape, but parking is free (unlike downtown). I don't know if I'd be willing to pay full price for this museum, but going for free with our membership was definitely worth the drive.
Very good experience for kids, very nice and friendly staff
We're here all the time, always a new science activity and very well kept.
Clean with multiple things for kids to do, even young toddlers!
This place is easily 1/5 the size of Children's Museum in Houston...and that makes a huge difference. I never feel as though I am on the verge of a panic attack here because it is so much smaller and parents actually watch their kids here. There are always rotating crafts for kids to make and take home.
My 3 year old grandson LOVES it. And its nice for me as well.
My five year old loves this place. My nine year old gets kinda bored and only visits 2 spots. But its q hood place to take them and get them out of the house
First time there. Smaller than I thought. Short and smooth waiting line out since today have the "meet the princesses". I guess since it is a children museum, it smelled like pee n diapers today. Very clean. Buying the tickets were fast and painless.no drama but my kids are over this place about 45 min.
Perfect size for younger kids! It's not too busy! Even on a Saturday afternoon! We enjoyed ourselves and will be back soon!
Lots of interactive activities. Great place for kids of all ages!
It was such fun!! Seriously didnt expect it to be this entertaining!!
I take my 2 year old son here because he loves it. He can spend well over two hours in the toddler's room enjoying all it offers. I will recommend selling the toys that are available for the kids to play with because there are times he wants to take a toy home and I would have to pry it from his hands.
Friendly staff and plenty of activities for kids of many ages, we had a blast with 2 two year olds! It's smaller than the Houston Children's Museum, but didn't feel like we missed out on anything. It has all the favorites, an HEB grocery store, police station, restaurant, toddler play area, and more.
Amazing place that is educative to kids as well as fun. What stood out to me is that they even have areas that teach you everyday life. Shopping, using an ATM ect... The place is fun and not too pricy that kids can go often
Houston Children's Mesuem is a better choice.
We had a lot of fun.the place was packed but we still had room to have fun.
Spent a great Saturday here with my 6, 4, and 1-year-olds. The infant area is perfect, and the bigger kids enjoyed the rest of the place. Great place to spend a morning or afternoon. Did not see a cafeteria or snack bar, so plan accordingly.
It's important you know going in that this is not a children's museum. I kept looking around for exhibits similar to the Children's Museum in the museum district. Rather, this is a place for kids to spread their wings and pretend to be anything they want, from grocery clerk to veterinarian to mechanic, police office or banker. It's a tiny town where kids are in charge. And my kids LOVE IT! Learning is all around them, and it's done in a way that the kids don't even realize it. If I had one suggestion, it would be to dial up the refreshment/concession offerings. Until then, run by your favorite coffee shop and grab yourself something before you get here. I enjoy watching my kids play, occasionally they will ask me to join their activities. More often there are enough kids and new friends are made. Then Dad's incident involvement isn't welcome. Yet more skills being honed, friend-making and sharing.
I love everything about this museum. It is just like the Houston Children's Museum, but smaller and more manageable.
We had a great morning here! I have a 5 month old and a 2.5 year old and they both enjoyed it thoroughly. We were in the "toddler room" for at least 1.5 hrs. They have you take your shoes off at the door and hand you a mesh bag to deposit toys your child has put in their mouth into before you leave. Three times a day they sanitize the entire room (literal wiping down every surface) as well as switch out the toys for new, clean ones. The rest of the center is a great mix of educational and fun playtime. I will definitely consider purchasing a membership here!
Such a great place for kiddos. Staff is always friendly, and place is always clean. For younger kids or toddlers, there is a side area where you can take them. It's a nice contained playroom with a slide and toys. The mini heb and science lab are great interactive exhibits that simulate the mind. Nice side crafting tables as well.
Really nice place to take kids! My grandson loved it! Educational too!
Took my grandkids here. They enjoyed it.
Good place for toddlers. Enjoy my experience on a late Friday afternoon. The place was not crowded. It has a decent amount activity . The toddler section is small though. The reading area has some interesting interactive and digital games .
I always take my daughter, she loves the toddler section. The staff is very attentive and friendly. They are always around picking up and cleaning the toys. I don't have to worry so much about my child getting sick, as I would with going to any other place. A few visits and it pays for a membership, and the membership will get you into the Children's museum in Houston and cities all over the US.
I have taken my kids to the children's museum in the Museum District several times so I was excited to take them to this one in SugarLand blindly thinking it would be lots to do and see. This center is SMALL compared to the one located on Binz. I had to literally ask an employee "Is this it?" Its like a quarter of the size with basically the same exhibits as the one on Binz. Was disappointed we drove all the way out there for nothing!
Awesome place to take the kids!
It's a nice little museum. You pay the same at the one in Houston and it's way bigger and better. But if you are in the area and don't want to drive too much it's a good option to take the kids
A visiting little one loved it, especially Mexico! We were there over half an hour as he puttered around serving meals, making zapatos (paper sandals), sweeping the floor and complaining that strangers kept coming into his house. After lunch, we came back and he explored more areas. A favorite was the Fort Bend Herald. He rode the bike, strapped on the mail satchel and delivered rolled up newspapers to many of the different areas. Can't believe we spent five hours there!
Does your child love to learn? Play with things? Experience new sights and sounds? Get out of the house and spend time with other kids? This is the place where it all happens! Sugar Land's Children's Discovery Center has it all from challenging puzzles and games, to interactive learning tools that teach things like balance, motion, sound, strategy, wind, gravity, and much more! Fun for all ages, and open weekdays and weekends, everything is indoor and climate controlled for a great experience. Parents love it, almost as much as children! #yourTEXASrealtor
All the fun of the main museum with a much smaller crowd. The kids actually get to play.
Wow! What a great children's museum! I'm a former early childhood teacher and this place has activities for all ages and they are developmentally appropriate. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean. Would like a place to eat lunch in the building. We didn't want to leave!!
This is a fun place to take the little ones. There are plenty of rooms with different activities from grocery shopping to physics experiements and even face painting. I especially enjoy coming when it is raining or super hot as an alternative to being outside. The only downside is the parking lots of potholes and not much near the building in inclimate weather.
The kids loved it. The 2-year-old as much as the 9-year-old, and the ones in between. It's not big but they have activities for everyone!
Great stop with the family! It's a newer center behind the old town sugar building, and I see they have plans to build up this area to make it a large entertainment complex. So lots of potential in the future. The museum is lovely, and while it's on the smaller side... It packs a lot of experience and interaction for the kids. Really clean, informative, and staff is friendly. Will definitely stop by again when we are in the area!
We bring the kids here from time to time and they always have a wonderful day. It is not a very large facility so it does get crowded at times. I suggest going early to be able to enjoy the exhibits leisurely and be able to explore. There is lots of variety so the little ones do not get bored. My son enjoyed working at the bank and they both loved the art school. The only negative for me was no hand sanitizer so bring your own. Overall a great and educational day for the kids.
Mini version of the children's museum in Hermann park
My kids all had a great tune ages 12, 10, 7, and 5
Small but my daughter loved it and free parking
Nice but very crowded in the summer
I just took my son (2yrs old) today for the first time. He had a blast! We received a membership for Christmas and plan on using it often! We have gone to the larger Houston Childrens Museum and while they have a lot more to do, more climbing, a cafe and things for older kids. It was always too crowded and kids will run you over. The Fort Bend location is much easier for me to keep track of my son and he had a blast. He wasn't overwhelmed by the other kids either. The ABC vet clinic was his favorite spot and overall we spent about 2 hours here. He was not very happy to leave. The regular priced admission is a little steep, so if you plan on going often, just buy the family pass. They are still building more on it and i can't wait for this to be completed. Clean, educational fun for younger kids when it's raining or you just need to run them out of energy.
One of my favorite places to bring my kids! Very hands on and lots of fun!
Went there bc entrance is free with my Children's Museum of Houston membership. The space is so small in comparison. Glad there is a playspace for kids, but def spoiled by Houston's children's museum.
Well designed and maintained. My 2.5 year old did not want leave.
My daughters really love this place.. toddler space is great for the ones under 3 years old. So many activities and they keep the place clean for your littles ones.
A fantastic voyage to learn
Hadn't been here in years. Kids loved it
Good for little kids
Good for children 7 and under.
We come here every week. The membership is a fantastic deal!
Great place for kids and educational.
Good place but the space is small.
Well set up to explore and learn. Not a huge place but plenty to do and lots of variety. You can go shopping in Mexico or HEB. Work at the bank or paint in the art school, drive an ambulance or police car. Don't forget to pick up your paycheck! My 3 year old was especially in love with shopping at the store and catapulting balls at his foam tower!
Probably been there 30 times since it's opening. Both kids (now 4 and 7) loved it! A couple of complaints: 1. Open on Sunday please! 2. The new membership (2018) is too expensive and it only allows 3 people to enter at once. That means wife and I can't go there together with 2 kids.
Perfect place for Kids.... Has a huge variety of stuff for them to do.... it’s like a little town for your little ones... there are little shops.. classroom... clinic.. veterinary clinic.. ambulance.. a car workshop .. just enough stuff for kids to enjoy for a few hours ♥️
My 2 year old son love this place. A must go place for kids to fun and learn
Fantastic place for kids. Very hands on. Lots to do. With hours of fun
Awesome place for kids to see physics in action!
Awesome place for AC'd fun for the kiddos....!!! Parents just have to run around after there kids... Haaa.!!!
If I could I would give this place more stars it is wonderful. We met some friends over there and my kids had such a wonderful time! My seven-year-old spent a majority of it crafting devices to put into the wind tunnel. My three year old had a lovely time rolling golf balls down a variety of different inclines. We will definitely be back in fact I wish that we lived closer so that we could go there regularly.
Fun place for kids! It is a little town for kids complete with an ATM, grocery, ambulance, fire, ... I had to literally drag the kids out of the HEB in there. Great place to celebrate birthdays.
We've had a membership to the Fort Bend Children's Discovery Center for 2 years now, and my children never get tired of going there. It's so much fun! And as a mom, I really appreciate that it is kept clean and well maintained. The fact that the membership gets us into the Houston Children's Museum is an added bonus, although we rarely go there because the one in Sugar Land has so much to offer.
Stimulating, serene, and fun.
Nice small place for kids to spend couple of hours
Very expensive for kids over one$12 plus $12 For adults. Had fun with my granddaughter and my daughter though.
My toddler loves it. Nice, clean and safety for small kids to play. The most important I don’t have to fight to the car traffic, free parking place.
Great place for kids to explore and learn about science, economics, art and a little history. Very similar to the Houston children's museum in town, just a smaller scale.
My kids always have fun here! It is so much cleaner, less crowded and closer than the Houston location.
Always a fun time for my youngest!!! Never gets old!
A smaller version of the downtown Children's Museuem. Includes a great Kidtropolis area. A small science area. Lots of areas for roleplaying. Tot spot available for little ones 3 and younger. Lockers available. Ample bathroom stalls. 4 tables in center for crafting and other small projects. Lots of parking, but a little bit of a distance for latecomers. Clean area all around. Staff good about cleaning up and minimizing clutter. Mid afternoons are best if you want to stay away from school field trip crowd. A little pricey for what you get, but still something to do.
My kids love this place! But I will say it’s pretty pricey.. I have 3 kids, so it costs me $50 to go.
Very fun place where a kid can be a kid and let their imagination run wild. The place is huge with all sorts of different themed areas. The kids love it and have so much fun. It's pretty clean even though there are tons of kids every where. There's so much to do here it's amazing. I would suggest going early before the crowds, it may be more enjoyable.
Had a blast with my Son and grandkids! A must for anyone visiting the Sugarland area!!
Great place for family and kids! A lot to do and a lot of fun!
A lot of stuff to do packed in comparable to downtown Houston Childrens museum. The kids loved it and we took ages 6 to 16. Adults enjoyed as well. Great family outing!
Nice little children's museum with lots to do.
A great place to educate and entertain children. There are activities for toddlers and preteens. My granddaughters aged 7 spent 6 hours there and had to be told to stop what they were doing because we had to leave. Physics, banking, businesses, art projects and much more held their attention. One printed her own newspaper and both loved using atm cards. I am physically challenged and there was plenty of seating where the girls were always in sight. It's a must visit!
Great experience for my nephew who came all the way from Malaysia. He had fun and I did too.
It's a safe and fun place to go to beat the heat and lots of informative things to do for the little ones...
Always awesome experience...
We always love going here. Especially being in the tot spot
This is a truly creative play place for children. I couldn't believe how clever the play places were. I wish there was a place like this when I was a kid. The staff does a pretty good job keeping the place clean and organized. The attention to detail in each room allows children of all ages to engage in real life play. Each room is unique. My favorite was the grocery store. Worth the trip. I just wish it was not so $$$. #rainyday #learn #accessible
My five-year-old son and niece absolutely enjoyed this place! Everything was just their size. there was also a toddler room for my one year old. This held his attention for a good 15 minutes. Parents know that that is truly an accomplishment! It is also evident that there are activities for older children as well. This is a place that we will probably come to for years to come, because there's always something to enjoy and to learn. My personal favorite was the piano bench. My sister-in-law and I laughed when we discovered its secret!
Nice place for an indoor play place for kids including infani
Usually a bit crowded but both my kids (1 and 4) love it here. It is always hard to get them to leave.
My kids enjoyed it but I wish there was more to do.
Good fun things for Kids
I don't think this museum is my target demographic, however, i was able to perform a short play here for black history month, and the staff was extremely kind. They gave us gift cards, free lunch, and time to explore the museum after. I would definitely recommend this to any parents who have young kids as this might spark an interest in many different subjects.
Awesome place; My 2 year old loves it! It’s So nice to not have to drive Downtown!
Excellent place for my kid to explore.
I used to take my son here but I’d rather drive 20 minutes more to go to the downtown location. When you go on a slow day, the young staff in the food court and HEB areas are chatting so loud, talking about how much she hates about her school, and like to keep an eye on you and always ready to lecture you. There is no dining area inside but I see kids are eating on the bench all the time, if you have a 2 year old and you know they want to snack all the time, so I brought some sandwich with me, as soon as I pulled it out, the staff came and tell me he can’t eat a meal, but snack is okay. I don’t give my son any chips or cookies, and a sandwich to me pass as a snack, but she insists I can’t eat it. However on a busy day tons of moms are pulling out warm meals but nobody cares. She sticks around that I won’t feed my son, It feels unwelcoming and uncomfortable. I just left and I can feel her eye are on my back.
So happy they have this location!! Its closer and smaller so you can have a better view of your kids. The staff is very friendly and the museum is clean and well kept. I 100 percent reccomend this location!!
Very clean and organized. My four year old girl had a blast there. A mini version of the Houston children's museum with less traffic on the road and free parking. But parking spots are limited, and they do have a 300-people maximum limit. We went there on the peppa pig meet and greet day. When we came out there was a long line outside the door waiting to come in due to the 300 limit. So get there early.
Great place to spend 1-1.5 hrs. Especially good for 3-6 yeah olds. The toddler 2and under is also excellent but it's a separate place so you would have to take the toddler on their own.
So well maintained. Free parking. Smaller and less overwhelming than the Houston location. Perfect for 3-5 year olds. ❤ Yearly family pass is a great value and includes both children's museums!
It's a kid's world. Children get to explore at their level some adult real world experiences. My 4 year old granddaughter loved the grocery store, the veterinary clinic, the kitchen and the farm. You could spend several hours here and not run out of things to do. The day we went was a princess event and the girls dressed up as princesses. It's about $12 per person and free parking.
Brought my 7 month old here to play in the Tot Spot. This area is about half as big as the downtown version which was perfect for my little one. Plenty of toys and activities for all.
Very nice something for all age groups
Great place for the littles... my 8-year- old only stays interested for 1-1.5 hours, but my 5-year-old can play for half a day or more
Always very interactive and learning!
One of the greatest and full of fun and educational events place in town!!
So much fun, I love that this museum is a little smaller than the one downtown... that location is a little too crazy for my two year old son. This one is perfect, and almost all of the activities are good for his age group. So much creativity has gone into the different spaces, they are adorable...I especially love the mini HEB and the vet's office. We are members and always have a great time when we go there. Highly recommend :)
Only Children's museum in Fort Bend county that us conveniently located in Sugar Land and membership is valid for Houston children's museum as well. Exhibits change so kids don't get bored. Saturday is the busiest day.
We like this museum, it's always clean and tidy even with kids running around. The manager can be seen around checking things all the time, and the washroom always super clean. When they host member events we always have a blast, they certainly do a great job organizing events!
Neat place... too expensive for a 1 year old.
Awesome place for toddlers. Not as big as the one in the museum district which helps when you have little ones ready to explore.
Excellent children place, though parking is a bit limited but you can park on roadside in-front. Compact place and friendly design so you can look for your kids by sitting in middle. Very friendly volunteer and staffs. My kids did not wanna return from this place. If they have some outdoor stations also that would be the best.
Very nice for the kids to learn while playing, but it is perhaps too expensive for what it provides.
Much smaller than the downtown location but still a good time.
I loved it! My 4 yo son had a great time. Lots and lots of creative play areas.
3 stars because it's a very small center and the price is the same as the very large location in the museum district. They should think about changing the price.
This place is incredible. There are so many exhibits, each unique with something different to do or learn. My children (2 and 3 years old) are in love with this place. Everything is properly safe and fun for them to enjoy. Even when this place is busy, there are so many things for kids to enjoy that you never need to wait to do something. Kids can learn about motion and science, veterinarians, banks, grocery stores, just about anything. I'm so glad I brought my family here.
I’ve been a member of this museum since it’s inception and it’s always been an awesome experience each visit. My kids love this place! The workers are very attentive and they work hard. I see them constantly putting toys away and keeping the play area tidy and inviting for the kids . The toddler area is amazing. (Socks only zone AND they provide shoe covers as well.) The play areas for the big kids are very cute especially the mini HEB and the pet store. There is also an art room where the kids can freely paint and craft tables where the kids can do crafts with easy instructions posted on a frame. The restrooms are clean and they clean it every hour or so. Highly recommend! Jade
Had a blast. Amari had a great day here. Will return in the next few weeks.
This was such a fun place. We are so glad we found it. My almost 2 year old had a blast. I think we will bring her back when she's 3. She was a little too young for some of the exhibits. However she loved the bugs and the abacus. Definitely recommend coming here for a fun day.
Pretty small compared to other museums. But well done. Clean and not busy which makes it easier to navigate with running toddlers... as my 6 year old nephew puts it:" it's a giant playground not really a museum , because you get to play with everything!!!"
Great place to visit. Not as bid as the one in museum district, but kids are engaged for 2-3 hrs and it's a shorter drive from our house in Katy.
We had fun. They need outside area for consuming snacks since no food allowed inside. These are toddlers and young children who eat every two hours!
Always a wonderful experience
Nice place for kids
Very small place . Not much to do .
