Absolutely impressive museum detailing the horror of the Nazi Holocaust. My wife and I spent hours learning & reflecting on the millions of Jews, political adversaries & non-Aryan foreigners, and the physically and mentally handicapped tortured & murdered. Overwhelming me was learning the number of Countries that were complicit by ignoring the horror or just outright helping the Nazis.

Brook Spivey

Beautiful! Wonderful tribute and learning opportunity. Cant wait to go again.

This museum is multiple floors of immersive and interactive exhibits. It is an incredible and heavy experience. I was there from 1:30 until they closed at 5 and was unable to see the entire museum. It definitely warrants multiple visits, and make time for pauses (you might need time to regroup). Many images and survivor stories are difficult to see or hear about. The Human Rights wing of the museum highlights genocides across generations and asks difficult questions that warrant discussion. Overall the layout of the museum was well done, with enough space for groups to move around, and exhibits spaced geographically based on their history. My only criticism is of the building itself: the courtyard with the art sculpture does not seem to be accessible via the street. Courtyards and artwork should be public (like the DMA does), at a minimum open to the public during normal museum hours. This would draw more attention to the architecture and the purpose of this building, drawing more visitors in.

There's no words to explain the Dallas Holocaust and Human rights Museum. The history you see in there it hit's your heart and brings tears to your eyes.

This museum is so well done! Give yourself at least 2 1/2-3 hours to visit. You’ll need that to take it all in. There’s so much to see and read, and the videos throughout are so good. Although a lot of the focus is on Nazi/Germany holocaust, the museum does a great job of tying in other genocides and human rights issues we still face today. Visit this extremely important place. It’s truly a beautiful, educational, but heartbreaking gem.

We had a chance to visit the new museum and the storytelling is incredible. It is modern in its approach to humans rights. The categories of up-stander, bystanders, perpetrators and victims highlights the responsibilities we all share.

My daughter & I went this past weekend. They don’t teach them much about it in her school. She wanted to know more... I learned about it & went to the (old) museum & had a nice couple that lived in one of the camps as children come to our school to talk to us. It was like a whole week of learning about it type thing. But this was when I was in elementary in the early 90’s. So, I didn’t remember much. Going here was a very educational experience for both her and I. & we loved the Genocide room where we learned even more about what has gone on in the world. Everyone should visit here!!

What a great place to learn about the genocide atrocities. Very little attention was given to the culprits. Instead, the focus was on the victims and their experience as well as those who stood up against the crimes, the "Upstanders".

Mindy Hudson

Everyone should stop and visit. Puts everything into perspective

It's just 3 weeks old when I visited and I have to say it's absolutely amazing, extremely thoughtful exhibits that are beautifully designed and emotionally poignant! Make sure you head down to the Dimensions in Testimony and spend some time in the theatre, absolutely worth it

Marc Willson

Very well done introduction and summary of the Dallas holocaust survivors. I cried

A very enlightening experience into the survivors of the Holocaust in there own words. Make sure to reserve your seat for the Dimensions in Testimony, it's very cool. You will spend hours reading, watching and listening so eat before you go because there is no food besides a small selection of over priced snack food.

Clayton Westphal

An impressive and very detail oriented Holocaust museum. I was expecting more artifacts personally, but overall highly recommend going to visit.

I was very upset to see nothing about the human rights of the unborn babies. All your posted criteria is meet. You represented all other human rights, why not what’s going on right here right now?

We found the museum informative and interesting. Most of the tour is self guided, so there can be delays in getting to sections if others are slower. I'd recommend allowing for extra time as everything was worth checking out. Museum is a short walk from Union Station stop, it's pleasant if you have good weather.

Our church toured this museum, but were not allowed on the second floor, but what we saw was very informative and sad.
