DESCRIPTION

Here you will be able to see all the opinions of people who have information of the products and services of Collin County History Museum (Museum) in the area close to Texas.

Right now this firm gets a score of 4.7 stars over 5 and the rating was based on 48 reviews.

You must have seen that the average score it has is practically the best, and it is founded on a high number of feddbacks, so we may be pretty sure that the valuation is quite accurate. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are pleased with the business, it works.

As you know, we do not usually bother to place scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

This Museum belongs to the category of Museum.

Was here for the presentation of WW1 era history and was impressed. One of the volunteers talked to us for an hour giving all sorts of neat McKinney history we would never had imagined. Will be returning periodically.

Really nice little museum. The older man working there was sweet. He explained things well and gave us a calendar. Worth going to for a short Museum visit.

I was thoroughly impressed with this place. It is located in an impressive Old Post Office Building, and Chronicles the contribution of Collin County to World Wars 1 & 2. So many pictures and personal items are available for perusal. A lot of interactive material is available on iPads that you can carry through the exhibit. It gives a very clear picture of what it must have been like, as well as serving as a beautiful Memorial to these brave men and women and the families that they left behind.

What a nice surprise to find the Collin County History Museum! The Then & Now exhibit is extremely well curated - the technology used to tour the museum is very impressive! We were warmly greeted upon arrival and, when we were ready to leave, had a great conversation with a staff (volunteer?) about museums related events.

Excellent historical museum with very nice and informative employees.

The museum itself is a treasure to the city. It was put together, educational, and an interactive experience. HOWEVER, the behavior from one of the employees/volunteers was baffling, uncalled for, and hostile at the LEAST. Becca was pleasant at the beginning, but quickly expressed her utter immaturity when I innocently opened a door in the downstairs area, noting there was no signage that said “employees only”, “do not enter”, etc. It looked just as rustic as the rest of the museum, but she commented with a very sarcastic, agitated tone, “You know, if doors are closed, it probably means you shouldn’t open them”, directly quoted. I was baffled, and quite frankly did not know what to reply. If that was the proper logic, our tour group wouldn’t have wound up in the basement anyway, which WAS perfectly fine to access, because the door to the basement was closed, too! Also, plenty of other doors on the premises had clearly indicated signs that denied access. I was going to donate, but due to her attitude, I did not, and not I, nor my peers, will be returning.

Great hidden gem in Mckinney! A must see when you visit downtown.

Great museum with informative exhibits about Collin County History. Wonderful historic 1911 Post Office building rich in history.

Very interesting. Thomas was extremely informative and i learned way more than was expected. Even the basement was an experience. The structure is so old that there is a boiler in the basement that looks like u r in the bottom of the Titanic. Will definitely recommend n will visit again.

This is a most outstanding venue to understand the blessing of living in McKinney and the Collin County area. I think it should be visited by everyone now enjoying the benefits of living in such a successful and safe area. Go by and learn about those who came before us and made today possible. You might recognize some of the place names you see, now. The displays change so one visit might not be enough.
