Cuero Texas is the little city that could! We just went to the "Cuero Celebrates Warhol" exhibit at the "Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum". You must go! I believe it was as good or better than anything I have seen in New York,. The Warhol collection was such a unique collection but exposure to Bob Wade,John Nieto, John Moyers, Billy Schenck and Ira Yeager was just as delicious. This museum had a lot to offer. It is reasonably priced so everyone can attend ($5), Chisolm Trail Heritage Museum is open to donations from those who have the ability to do more financially. I believe this way of contributing to their community is why Cuero has a " I wished I lived here " quality-, inclusive and friendly to all That visit.

Excellent museum outlining life as a rancher and cowboy in the early days of Texas. Terrific exhibits that are easy to read and entertaining even to kids. There are plenty of relics from the era that give you a great sense of what life was really like for cowboys. They even have a video room with a short 15min video that details the lives of those who made the chisholm trail so famous. Stop in. You wont be disappointed.

Wonderful museum in a small town! Delightful surprise!

This is a very well done museum and totally worth the price of admission. It's not a very big place, but there are lots of displays and lots of information to read, so be sure to allow yourself plenty of time. There's also a very well done movie that should not be missed while you're there. Don't forget to check out the gift shop on your way out because they've got some cute stuff and it's very reasonably priced!

We held a rehearsal dinner in the Hamiltob room. The kitchen was clean and worked well for prepared food. The setup was well done and a relative bargain The museum itself is informative and well done.

If you are interested in Cuero and it's history this is the place to visit . The $5.00 feel is well worth the money. Very informative on the Texas Cowboys and outlaws that lived in the surrounding areas . Gift shop has a library of books for sale on history of Cuero.

Riveting history on display. Not just cattle drives but the shifting demographics, politics and economics of the era. Recommended.

This is very nice, small museum. All the displays are informative and provide a broad background on the trail, cattle drives, and history of the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, took us about an hour and a half to read and watch everything. Sue was extremely helpful and a wealth of knowledge. We certainly recommend this museum.
