This little museum is great! Steve was knowledgeable and entertaining. The Mustache Teacup Collection was my favorite but you can tell all the exhibits were created with real TLC. This is a must stop if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed!

I'm new to the area and this was my first visit. Can't wait to see how the renovations turn out. My 6 year old and I loved the museum. Tons of interactives for her and lots of interesting stories for me. We go to a lot of museums and this impressed me. I can't wait to support this museum in the years to come and watch it continue to grow. The museum also has lots of great events coming up that they told us about. The staff were great and supper friendly. We will be comming back for years to come.

Worst part of bell county . should be closed and the funding for this so called musem should be deverted to a more deserving entity. Never hardly open and not worth the effort !!!!

Good museum for Temple/Belton area. Exhibits vary. My recent favorite was the Frida Kahlo exhibit. I went multiple times and kept inviting friends. In 2014 they had a great kids day for Dia de los muertos but it was missing for 2015. Hope they bring it back.

I have a close personal and professional attachment to this amazing museum. They sponsor and showcase incredible collections based on themes. This month (July 2017) they are presenting a collection called From "Swords to Plowshares: Metal Trench Art From World War I." A must see for the art and war history enthusiast. Also check out their permanent exhibit about the world famous Gault archaeological site. Admission is free, they accept donations, plenty of parking.

Located in the old library, this musium has a large range on interesting exhibits related to Bell County. Kid friendly, with lots of interesting ways for them to interact with history.

Great displays. Every 3rd Saturday of the month they have displays and activities for the kids free of charge. My 5yr old loved it.

Brought the family here on in a weekday. The gentleman who greeted us was very nice and knowledgeable with the history. He went out of his way to educate the kids about some of the tools that were used. The place is very nice and kept up with. I would definitely recommend this museum to others and will come back to visit.

We are new to Bell County and we just found the Bell County Museum. I’ve lived in small and large towns and I’ve never seen a museum engage a community better than this one. Last night we attended the haunted night at the museum and there was a line around the block of parents and children waiting to get into the museum. Once in, my kids were engaged by multiple volunteers dressed up as different historical figures, Darth Vader, a long horn. My kids left smiling and loving their museum. My husband and I will be back to see the beautifully curated collection. Well done!

I love the Bell County Museum. It is small, but packed with so much historical information. It has a permanent exhibit, but also has a temporary one that changes every so often. It offers lots of free or inexpensive programs throughout the year. Did I mention that the museum is free??? This is a must to visit!

The curator was very nice and friendly, and there were several stations that were very hands on for the kids. I wish they would have had the I-spy at the front entrance, as that is something my grandsons enjoy doing. Also, the 2nd floor was closed for an event, but that only allows us to return and explore some more.

As a teacher, I would totally bring kids here. Some nice hands on interactive exhibits for kids (and adults too). Very nice to learn about the local history of Bell county, and curators are very friendly. Plus it is free!

We were looking for things to do while In the area and a friend suggested stopping here. They have a very interesting display of the Gault site, tracing back artifacts into prehistoric days. This museum was a great find and we really enjoyed it. Clean, friendly atmosphere.

This is one of the best county museums that I have ever been to. I believe it is the best representation of Bell county history along with Texas history. Anything that has happened in Bell county, is mentioned. There are many exhibits which highlight the important events of Bell county, so you are never "bored" reading them. I would recommend this museum to any history buff or if you are going through the town and need a break, stop here to learn an interesting fact about Bell County!
