This Museum belongs to the category of Art museum.
The museum is small but when they do exhibitions it looks great! We had fun taking the girls there looking at costumes! We will be going back to other exhibitions they have.
Held a fund raiser there. The Museum Director is very professional and easy to work with..
Incredible place to visit!Beautiful and classy.I loved the costume exhibit. This is a really, really neat little museum.Fantastic architecture and museum
Current exhibition of Salvador Dali ends January 21, 2018
Clean, friendly environment
Closed during regular hours for a display switch over without announcing on line or even signage on door....drove all that way for nothing....what a waste of carbon
This is a really, really neat little museum. We're not talking Guggenheim, here, but they always have a pretty cool showing along with a small but endearing permanent collection. If you are military - active or retired with card - admission is free. Truly, not a bad little place to visit.

It's like a well kept secret hidden away in plain sight. I'm born and raised in DFW, never knew Arlington had an art museum. It's lovely! I like that it's small. You can get through its featured exhibit and not feel like you're dragging along for forever, nor feel rushed. Lots of fun!
$5 student. $10 Adult. Small venue. Cool exhibit
Great venue! Attended the Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., Arlington Alumnae Chapter, 30th anniversary! Thank you for serving the Arlington, Grand Prairie and Mansfield communities! You are making a difference!
I loved the costume exhibit. I'm a lifetime seamstress and I appreciated the detail and precision of the garments displayed. I have some new movies on my Netflix list now too after seeing the costumes.
Super cute museum

Timeless Concerts was great. Amazing music!
Nice building
"CUT! Costume and the Cinema" currently on display at the Arlington Museum of Art.This exhibit allows to you to see up close, the 43 magnificent costumes from 27 period films covering 5 centuries of history!
A hidden gem!
Beautiful place Amazing Art
Interesting exhibits and good imax programming
We went for the Movie Costumes exhibit last summer and it was splendid. Also went for Youth Art Month 2019. Great place for sure recommend.
Dali amazing
Great
Beautiful gallery.
Great place to untwine
well,my art art is there so
I was pleasantly surprised by this museum. When I visited, both of the exhibits on display were fascinating and beautiful. I spent around an hour to an hour and a half here and was captivated the whole time. I'm excited to come back and see what exhibits they get
It's a rather nice museum but it is small. There isn't much to see, when I went on 1/19/19 we were in and out in about 15 minutes.
Great exposition
I love this place. It's small so any visit won't kill a whole day. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Disappointed to see who this organization supports.
Small but has great displays.
Great place for all ,,really enjoyed my time with family, great exhibits learning history, you can get involved with some of the tour, like playing with Lego racing with animals, great time out,,!!!!!
Used a Groupon to see the Keith Harring exhibit. Almost felt like I should have paid full price. Great exhibit, and informative film about the artist. Not the usual for Arlington, well worth the trip to Arlington Museum of Art.
Fine art
I've lived on DFW all my life and really regret not visiting sooner. This museum is a must see.
My daughter participated in the art camp last week and loved it. The process for drop-off and pickup went smoothly and she came home talking about all of the amazing things she learned each day. They were able to learn how to use various art mediums and spent some of their day learning about Keith Haring, which is currently on exhibit there. The staff was warm and welcoming and the art teachers formed great relationships with her in the short amount of time she was there! We would highly recommend and will definitely be returning!
Come here for a party the museum was rented for. Beautiful and classy.
Nice place to go have a break and walk around..
Was trying to get information about networking with them or other art places and it was like since I'm an Airbrush Artist I don't count
Great clothing exhibition
The diversity of the art gives many people something to like. Everyone has their own expectations in what they want to see. The building itself is a work of art !
I love this place. It always has new exhibits coming and going. And the aren't they just played so nicely on the walls. Like someone really took care to put those on the wall in a nice way.
Went to view Dali exhibit. Only $8 entrance fee.vvgreat value. This exhibit I'd not suggest for kids; bit grim.
Came for the Vivien Maier exhibit and was pretty impressed. Nice to know that there's an art museum in the area.
Not a bad place. Much bigger than expected. The rooftop gallery is pretty awesome and is more of what I expected to see there. They were doing a Texas Mums exhibit which wasn't really my thing but was well laid out. I think it is worth a second visit.
Easily the smallest art museum I've ever been to. Still a great place to drop into for a bit. Just don't expect to make a day of it.
Small but nice
Adorable little art shop. My 13 year old is an artist and we come from a very small town. She enjoyed seeing the art of other children her age!
I've enjoyed many fabulous exhibits here over the years...Toulose Lautrec, Vivian Meier & now, Keith Haring. This exhibit ends September 15th, so hurry!
My son has had 3 years of Art camp, clean, organized and friendly staff
Clean and beautiful
The art camp is amazing the teachers are wonderful the program gives the kids the ability to be creative and free spirited I highly recommend it!! Thank y'all for teaching my daughter shes loving it thank u
As someone that has admired Ansel Adams work in my 35 plus years in the professional photo industry. The Arlington Museum of Art did a VERY POOR JOB of displaying his work. The lighting was so BAD that you could not see the detail and range of tones that Ansel Adams was known for. If the prints had been displayed properly, people that have not seen his work before would have seen what tonal range the Zone System gives a photo artist. Shame on AMA for displaying his work like that.
My husband and I love the AMA. The exhibits are interesting and we always learn something new. The staff is friendly and the museum is big. There are three floors plus sometimes exhibits in the basement. There is rarely a crowd there, so it's easy to read the description of the art without being in someone's way. We like the little gift shop too.
Excellent exhibits at low cost
Has nice pictures and two halls that can be rented out
K harring exhibit was nice, but small and did not represent the breath of his styles.
Nice exhibit. Freindly staff
Nice summer activity for the kiddos.
Fantastic architecture and museum
Very inspiring
Came for the Vivien Maier exhibit and was pretty impressed. Nice to know that there's an art museum in the area.
great historical costume exhibit
Incredible place to visit! The AMA gets some amazing exhibitions.Beautiful and classy.Beautiful building. Lots to see. This is a really, really neat little museum.
small but packed, and an awesome and well organized collection. I attended when the keith haring exhibit was on display, and it was such a cool experience! student tickets are only $5 with ID and it was a quiet and open atmosphere in which to experience the art :)
The staff was very polite and gave great background in the exhibit so whether you were familiar or not with the artist you felt as if you knew facts about the pieces before seeing them. Would enjoy visiting again.
We went for the Kieth Haring exhibit. It was great. Now this little museum is a great little venue. It is punching above it's weight class. Well done Arlington!
Great presentation of the AISD student work.
Very small, limited exhibits
Incredible place to visit! Went to fantastic concert there, we had a absolutely super time. Next concert is in February, don't miss it! CM
I've been impressed with the exhibits and shows. For a smaller museum they do a great job, more with less. Sometimes I like their shows better than a big "blockbuster" exhibit elsewhere that's hyped and too popular.
Beautiful space for events!
AMA hosted a one week, half day summer art camp for kids and it was awesome! My daughter had a lot of fun doing the projects each day and was proud to show me all of her work at the end of the week. The theme was learning about Keith Herring's work and using what they learned in each project. We would definitely attend again.
I had signed up my daughter for the summer art camp and after day one they are telling me she can’t keep up and would be better if she try next year. I mean throughout the school year she did great and I had no complaints from her art teacher on the contrary her art teacher would tell me she is her best student and was the one that recommended me to sign her up. They didn’t even give her a chance and the way the staff approached the situation was very tacky. If you are looking into this camp I suggest you go elsewhere. Horrible experience!
Great place to go.
Small, but important gallery. Loved the Dali exhibit
Helpful staff. Nice venue
This museum is not worth your time visiting the $8.00 fee is outrageous for a museum of the this size.. go to Kimbell art museum in Fort Worth Texas it's much bigger and free !!!!!!.....
Very small. You can see everything in 20mins
Besides an interesting art museum they also offer children's art classes. The local school district has a large show of student art there each year that is very impressive. The shows change out on a regular basis usually spotlighting individual artists. Free to the public. Check for current shows and hours. Located in downtown Arlington.
The AMA gets some amazing exhibitions. Great small museum!
Your volunteer Hugo was very helpful and informative. Told us about upcoming events. Great vist and exhibit.
While the exhibit was amazing, I expected several not one.
Beautiful building. Lots to see.
Great exhibit. Would have preferred not to have a guide, but he was a nice guy and knew his stuff. Terrific time. :)
Great museum, friendly staff.
I can dig it!
Went here to see the Keith Haring exhibit and it was an awesome experience. The information provided from the person on hand was stellar and overall we had a great time going to the exhibit. Highly would recommend this museum and future exhibits!
Great place
It didnt have much to exhibit, but what they did have kinda is interesting.
A bit small but great exhibitions. Clean and nice building. Staffs were friendly.
Really friendly staff they were great. I went for the salvador dali exhibit it was amazing.
Just love this place! !
Great experience!! Will be back!
5 stars for a small museum right between fort worth n dallas. It's not your regular art museum where there is a lot of regular artworks on display, but they put a lot of thoughts into each exhibition.
AWESOME small town museum. Works with Arlington ISD to promote student artists once a year. Does not have a permanent collection. But has had great traveling exhibits.
Nice pocket-sized art museum next to the UTA campus hosts imaginative exhibits of artists, local and national. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to see the Keith Haring show, and definitely plan to return often.
The music on this occasion was intimate, and so satisfying. Puccini was covered beautifully...... Pianist Dr. Heejung Kang was a marvel, as well as all of the other wonderful performers. The art exhibit garnered by the the Arlington Museum of Art was very thought provoking from the late Gary K. Haring. A real find for the museum.......a magnificently spent Saturday night. Timeless Concerts brought in part by Violinist Leeanne Chenoweth is a treasure...
Great museum curated well very interesting
It's in really sad shape, and the art selection was very limited and of poor quality. At $8 a pop, it still felt like a rip-off. Get it together Arlington.
The absolute worst venue for an event. While the building was lovely, the staff were unprofessional, rude and combative at every turn. From arriving late to scheduled meetings prior to the event, constantly changing agreed upon terms, trying to make tacky changes to the decorations, to being awful to the wedding guests and vendors. The event coordinator at the venue was just awful. The A/C didn't work properly and guests were sweating the entire time. All in all, it was a terrible experience.
It needs a huge corporate sponsor or a rich oil billionaire to breathe some life into this building. In a city that has all the sports venues for the area, why doesn't the city spend some of those tax dollars on it's "downtown"? But that said, Dallas doesn't spend any money on it's art museum either. Art is so forgotten in this area. The local mall has better art. So sad.
There is a fantastic Rembrandt exhibition on right now. Great educational info to help visitors learn more about his life and techniques.
All good
Love the well curated art exhibition. Small enough to enjoy without being overwhelmed!
My family and I went see the 55 wood block prints by Utagawa Hiroshige's Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido, 1797-1858, Japan. It was a thrilling experience to see 161 to 222 year old prints in fantastic color and in really good condition. Photograph were not allowed except for the information plaques. It was a wonderful experience. The down side was that on the day of our visit the elevator was not working. So if you have problems with stairs, go slowly up and down them. Bring your own walking assistance equipment. The staff are very courteous.
Great costumes from period drama movies. Yet another of Arlington Museum's wonderful & unusual exhibitions to offer our community both knowledge & inspiration via exposure to art.
Kind of small mainly high school and elementary art
I really loved the Fung pieces. And the staff was amazing. They were informative, but didn't hover while we looked at the art. Also, the elevator was down, so we couldn't get to some of the art. While some places would still charge full price, they were only half price. I thought that was pretty awesome.
They have the Salvador Dali's collection he made about Dante's divine comedy, the surrealist at his best
Excellent exhibits.
Great for booking private parties
Great little museum. Cozy not to big, they can put on an exhibit and you can really delve into the art and absorbed. You don't feel overwhelmed by seeing lots of pieces.
