A must see if you visit Lake city. Lake city is being revitalized. Lake city has an annual arts festival, Ron McNair monument, tobacco festival an excellent 4-5 star hotel. The downtown area is beautifully decorated and nice shops for sightseeing.

The Ronald McNair Life History center is housed in what was once the Public Library and is next to the memorials and reflection pool in McNair Park. There is plenty of free parking in the park so no long walk required.
