REVIEWS OF Parris Island Museum IN South Carolina

Melanie Oswalt

It had a lot of information about battles, weapons and people.

Christina Camillo

Really interesting museum about basic training for the marines, and also some of the battles affecting Hilton Head, Parris, and St. Helena Islands, plus the revolutionary battles... there is a lot to explore. We didn't have time to take it all in!

Nitsat Hadas Elami

Well thought out design, unique and interesting items in USMC history. Small merchandise shop inside building. Wheelchair accessible, friendly staff. Recruits must sign in. Busy on family days and graduation days. Elevators accessible to public.

David Murrell

I had great time with my grandfather and his great grandkids you did well Marine Semper Fi sir

Tyler Martin

A very historic and interesting museum about the Marine Corps. My best friend graduated on Friday, but he took us around the base on Thursday. If you go to paris island going to the museum is a must.

Ted Rejman

I am a former Marine. I was truly disappointed by the terrible and distasteful welcoming you receive upon entering the museum. Rude and umnocktious attitude of those who welcome you. There is no welcoming only boisterous ordering. I am sorry but that is not what being a Marine is all about. As for the museum itself they have done an incredible job of putting all the different time periods together.

Kelly Jacobson

Very nicely done. Well laid out, interesting and informative. Only deficiency was the ladies restroom. Please work on that.

Great little museum with well kept exhibits and a little store. It's an added bonus to visit during the week and see recruits taking it all in. Also, on a graduation day seeing the faces of the new Marines glow when explaining boot camp to their families is always smile inducing.

Absolutely one of the beast museums in Beaufort. With a valid driver's license you can visit Paris island as a civilian, just tell them you are going to the museum. It has great relics and lots of information on the Marine's history as well as history of the island going back several hundred years to Santa Elena which was one of the first settlements in North America from the east. The museum is also free and very nicely laid out in different sections. The original site of Santa Elena is also available to visit on Paris island and is located about 6 minutes away from the museum.

Bill Donaldson

A museum made for the few who have been selfless enough to serve our nation. The history inside will overwhelm you with pride of the Americans faces you see and those you know are out there. Stop in and remember those from our past, present and future.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Museum. Very informative. We don't have any Marines in our families but they had very nice displays & history. While we were there a group of recruits arrived & we silently listened to the instructions given by the man in charge before they started exploring the museum. The recruits were very courteous to the others, very interested in the museum & all the facts. We wish them all the luck in their endeavors. Thank you to all our Service Men & Women from the past, present & future!

John Oshaughnessy

One of the best museums. The 45 minutes I allocated for this wasn't enough. To really get a good perspective on everything that's included in the museum oh, you will need 2 hours at minimum.

Leo Electric

Very nice place to see the history of the U.S.A. since its colonial days to the present era. With uniforms of each period along with descriptions or other dialogue to inform you of their uses really gives you an insight into how much the country has made an impact in the global scene during that particular time makes you feel a sense of unity with the country and its upbringing. At least that was my take of it, better than any history class I ever took in middle or high school in terms of dates, events, legit artillery and etc for sure!

Ronaldo Dingzon

I just love it.
