Place has gone downhill from our last visit 4 yrs ago. Nothing was picked up, cleaned up, or any attention given to the areas occupied by large numbers of out of control camp kids. We brought a 5yr old & a 10yr old at 2pm and for what we paid and the mess we walked into was unacceptable. Each visitor should be able at 2pm to expect the same experiences availabe as the 10a arrivals. Clean up after the kids! Can't recommend you anymore, sorry. .
A lot of fun. I have a 14 month old, so he couldn't do everything, but we enjoyed everything.
We visited on late October and we were happy we did. Although some of the exhibits were closed due to renovations, my 5 y/o was able to enjoy most of the museum and he had lots of fun. My almost 10 y/o child was not too impressed. The staff is very helpful and kind, the building is kept cleaned and organized and the exhibits are well kept and provide educational value to the visit. Although Edventure is 2 hours away from home, I would say that I will visit again.
Took my class on a field trip. Sooo much fun! Well organized and lots of hands on learning!!
Amazing place for kids off all ages! Only reasoning for 4 stars is because it could be a little more clean. They have a fun area for kids under 3 years old, which is great! Knowing kids these age are on the floor a lot it would be nice it they kept the floors well vacuumed. Other than that they have friendly staff, new exhibits, indoor and outdoor activities! Great for really hot summer days when you want to be in the AC.
Made a stop here along way to greenville. Kids 6, 8, 9 loved it. There were a few broken things but three hours of fun. Also the parking is free. Easy to access from interstate.
I enjoy going w/my children we all had a great time and i love there new resturant as well
Was so fun! Eddy, the giant boy, was very cool to go through, although he scared my 2 and 4 year old at first. There were so many great things that even though we live 90 minutes away we got a membership. So fun! The outdoor area isn’t open until spring.
This was pretty fun for the children... they had a good amount of activities...I just think it's a bit overpriced but if you live here it would probably be beneficial to get a membership. That's the only way I can see it being worth it. …
EdVenture is a great museum for children and the young at heart!!!
What a disappointment! Shabby and so completely rundown. Wondering where the money has gone to keep this the top notch place it used to be. I paid close to $25 to go in with my 3 year old granddaughter and $5 should have been more appropriate. Displays weren’t working - dirty - and just very very disappointing.
My granddaughter loved everything today. She wants the come back tomorrow
Wish I would have gone sooner. I have a 2 yr old that I thought was too young to enjoy. This was not the case, Plenty for his age to keep him busy all day
Fun place to bring children, lots of exciting things to do and very well maintained and clean. Although the section for 3yr and younger is a little beaten and could use an upgrade in toys / activities.
My daughter and I had a great time!
This place is a great learning experience and lots of fun. I learned there as well as my grandson! Fantastic place!
Such a great time for the kids. So much to see. All sorts of interactive things to do. Definitely a must!!
Our family had a wonderful time at the museum on Saturday! The Storybook Ball was a wonderful experience for all. I’m not sure who had more fun - my 4 year old granddaughter or the rest of us watching her burst with excitement seeing all her favorite characters. It definitely exceeded our expectations. Thank you.
Had a great time! Lots of stuff to do but I wish the bathrooms was a little cleaner and it seems there is some repair/ maintenance issues on some of the exhibits.
What a great day, definitely worth it
Nice place but geesh..it would be nicer if they kept it clean. My son got sick there twice when he attended camp (Spring Break and Summer Camp). Never had a vurus during the school year but camp at EdVenture? Yep....
Great family fun, learned alot of neat things
EdVenture is a lot of fun, not only for children, but adults as well. We took our son, and he absolutely loved it. He greatly enjoyed the flight simulators, and firetruck. He was not a big fan of the giant human body, but it was mostly because he was intimidated. We will definitely be back soon, and look forward to another great experience.
Fun for children, and adults as well.. stay away from the career clothing kids act with.. my child got lice from them.
Lots of stuff to do for kids too do. Would have liked to see more staff around for cleaning n helping.
They push the membership at you hard. For a one time fee of 36 bucks, a child and two adults I was hoping for more. Kid enjoyment will vary. Mine stayed entertained about 90 mins.
A great place for the kids to have fun, all while learning important things- fire safety, farming, shopping, etc. A variety of exhibits and special presentations make for a great day of fun for the whole family!
Too many areas of the museum were rundown. The newly renovated areas were very obvious. Overpriced and the employee at the front desk was extremely rude to the point where if I hadn’t hyped the kids up prior to our arrival I would’ve put them back in the car and went elsewhere. Never again will I make this $50+ mistake.
We had the fennel braised Berkshire pork belly to start; it was excellent!!! We had swordfish for one entree. It was absolutely delicious and memorable. We also got the port braised rosemary short rib with crispy risotto- DELECTABLE! Our dessert was the PB chocolate and berry.
Wonderful trip with my class! Wish we would have had more time to explore. One day just doesn’t seem like enough time there is so much to offer!
Spent very good time with my granddaughter's there ! If you haven't been there , I say go with your grands or barrow a neice, nephew or someone else's child & take them there... you'll enjoy the visit/ experience.
For my first time going with my daughter and Mom, I have to say I think I enjoyed it more than my daughter . It was absolutely amazing. The big boy that's sits in the middle of the museum. The different rooms and activities. The staffs curiousness was just amazing. We most definitely will return. Also with WIC benefits you get a huge discount ( must have your WIC card present) for me , my mom and Daughter was $6 !!! Its a steal !!
The kids have always loved it here! Plenty to learn and experience. Well maintained and updated.
It's a good place to take the kids for an afternoon. Some of the activities and learning toys and are worn out but the staff was nice. Good price and my kids enjoyed it. Would go back.
My granbaby really enjoyed it! She's only 2, lots for all ages!
Very well done. Our 4 year old loved it.
Great place for learning and keeping kids engaged. Love the outfits they can wear and learn from.
At the time and day me and my daughter went some of the activities were not available. My daughter still had a great time playing with other kids.
It's great. We come so often we had to get the membership. It's worth it.
Very fun with lots to do. Cafe has good food.
This museum was totally A HIT... for my now Grown... children! They still remember the Awesome EdVenture of Eddie... 10 years later. An Awesome EdVenture YOU should Experience!
Took my kids here and they had so much fun! They loved playing and painting and making crafts. Can’t wait to come back here soon!!
My nephew loved it here. He loved it more than the Atlanta museum. I, however, am a little bit biased because I worked at the Atlanta location but definitely a great museum. I wished we were able to see the new exhibit. There was so much to do, that we missed out on upstairs. Next time...only 4 stars because many of the buttons did not work. Also he bugged me about the doors that didn't open in almost every exhibit but im sure that part cant be helped. But yeah the none working machines were bit of a letdown still fun!
Decent price. Kids had a blast
Always a nice, educational, fun place to be with our little ones!
My Granddaughter attended a Birthday Party there and had a great time. She can't wait to go back.
Cool children's museum in the capital of SC. Pretty much dislike all things Columbia, but this is an exception. Great layout with a wide variety of activities for all ages. Some of the outside water activities were not working but I suspect with all the use (because there were a lot of people there) this happens. Looking forward to going back.
Good visit, grandkids had fun with Big Eddie. Bit pricey, but good time had by all
The EdVenture Children's Museum is wonderful and educational. I love to take my kids because they have so much fun and also are learning too. The staff is amazingly helpful and kind. Awesome job keep up the great work because my kids enjoy it and so do I.
Great place filled with more activities than you could get bored with. A great stop-off for kids during a long trip.
A lot for the kids of all ages to learn and enjoy. There's also a lot of room for parents to sit and watch. Pricing is phenomenal. All around a truly great experience.
Great place to spend a day with your little ones!
This place was so much fun. While it feels oriented to older kids, it was still fun for me and my almost two year old. I will say that it was PACKED, and it made it sort of dirty. But that says more for the customers than the staff, I think. I was surprised with the cost as well, super cheap.
Wonderful ❣️ very interactive and something for everyone!
This museum actually paid for my daughters class to go for free!! All the children loved it!! There was tons of thing to do and interact with. They have a tall statue of a boy that can be climbed around in!! The whole place was really cool my daughter enjoyed the news room! The air plane room!! The giant chest board! Climbing around the giant kid even tho when you get the the brain it's a "little freaky" as she said.
My 3 year old had a blast learning to make paper airplanes, making little objects to put in a wind tunnel, climbing the educational jungle gym of the body, and doing all the other neat activities they have. Would definitely recommend!
We took photos there and it was a nice experience and grounds were very clean and neat kept.
Great place for children. Wonderful place for hands on learning.
Wonderful place for kids! My daughter would go everyday if I let her. My visit as a parent it was awesome!! Completely different, nothing like it in TN
Lots of activities. My kid had a lot of fun.
Our kids spent 3 hours there today!! They had a great time!!
The places is awesome for the kids, they have few different rooms with lots of activities a big free play area and you need to expect maybe to be there more than 3 hours... well... that's was my case with 2 kids. They have sensory friendly time and you can find more information on Facebook about this sensory friendly time. Parking is free and you have on the front of the adventure museum the State Museum so basically if you have time you can visit both same day. They have Military Discount also.
Such a great variety of activities for kids. We stayed for hours and still didn't see everything. Awesome museum!
This children's museum has a variety of exhibits. We have a 13 yo and a 3 yo, and they were both able to enjoy the same exhibits because of how they are designed for different age groups to interact with the same material. I would recommend this museum for anyone looking to spend a fun, indoor-day with the kiddos in their lives!
My son had an amazing time. Love the flight simulator and science experiment. And as always, our trip through Eddie!
Loved it! So much hands on kids can see and do and learn! Plan to be here ALL Day and it's so worth it!
Awesome place! Everything is interactive. The kids get to learn about how a lot of things we do everyday actually work. The staff is friendly and helpful. The people they have doing the "learning stations" need customer service training!!! Badly! Very rude and unwilling to help. This was the only time we had a bad experience with employees. Overall, the kids have a lot of fun. Enough so that we joined fir the year.
Pricey but nice for kids. They need more sanitizer dispenser since there are alot of hands touching what other hands touched and then possibly in their mouth.
EdVenture is so much fun! It's always clean and the staff is friendly. Eddie, the giant kid/playground is a neat feature where kids can play and learn at the same time. It's nice having a place the at kids can run around, play and learn all …
The backyard playroom is perfect for infants and toddlers. Totally safe and an awesome exploratory experience.
EdVenture is a nice children's museum with many hands-on activities for toddlers and children. The staff are very friendly and there's a number of activities scheduled throughout the day (e.g., Flight Dome movie experience, Science Show). Only one minor criticism, the facility could be kept a bit cleaner (e.g., layer of dust on top of flight simulators), but I understand that's a challenge, but also a necessity, in a facility that has so many kids passing through.
Great place for the whole family especially if you love art
Beautiful facility. Enjoyable and educational for all ages. There are even science and cooking classes to sign up for to advance your child's knowledge.
Great place to take the kids! My 10 and 9 year old love playing with Ed! I enjoy the learning aspect and how the featured event changes every so often. They also have discounted rates for military and EBT holders. Overall great place with wonderful workers! I plan to visit the others in my state
Great for a day visit with your little ones. Science has never been more fun, there's a room where they perform experiments and the kids love it
This was an amazing place for young kids. Most of the activities seem to be best for younger children. They did have a few for older kids.
I went with my grand daughters class. I've never been. Was great. Got to explore not much at all that was a disappointing point to myself. Got a 30 minutes in one room getting to try measures, & other obstacles. Then also learn little bout bank. Would of enjoyed science room but needed more time but was Blessed to be with my princess..
This place is amazing! Completely worth the trip. The staff is dedicated to the development of children in our state!!!
I will say this trip I was disappointed. The last visit it was clean and well kept. This time everything was filthy. The kitchen had almost nothing to play with, the Publix store was torn to shreds. We actually cleaned it up ourselves because it was that bad!!!! I didn't know I had to pay to have to clean up so the kids could play. No activity rooms had anything going on. There were older kids running around screaming with no regard to the smaller children. They were way too old to be playing here. List goes on. I hope it improves. It was a fun spot before.
It was fantastic. My little one loved the experience! And I am happy that its here.
We came on a Saturday so the place was pretty busy. We brought a just turned two-year-old. While I thought the place was pretty neat, I feel like it was a little bit too grown up for my grandchild. Especially since there were a lot of older kids running wild and the two adults cost over $30 to get in. Will probably wait another two years to bring him again.
This looks like a fun place to go to, so we brought our 3 year old granddaughter. We arrived on a Wednesday at around 11:30 am. There must have been a couple of field trips going on because there were a lot of 9-12 year old kids running everywhere. It was very crowded. The kids were loud, running and very pushy. My granddaughter tried to interact with some of the exhibits, but several kids were yelling and would push her out of the way. She couldn't enjoy most of the exhibits. After trying for about an hour we gave up, she was frustrated and unhappy. I didn't see any adults trying to get control of the kids. I would have mentioned this to museum staff, but it seemed pointless. We visited the Children's Museum in Greenville the day a efore and it wasnt as crowded, so we had a better experience. My suggestion is to call ahead to see if a field trip or tour is scheduled. Other than than the museum itself was good. The one in Greenville has more attractions for under 5's.
This is a really wonderful hands-on museum. We loved all the exhibits and features, especially Eddie, the Publix room, the fire truck, the farm and the diner. We also loved building and testing our designs on the 2nd floor. We were displeased by the behavior and lack of supervision of the EdVenture campers who truly pushed us out of the way, refused to share in any capacity and kept us from experiencing the Space exhibit. Nevertheless, I do recommend visiting!
An absolute must go! Your children will love it, they will have a blast, & you will surprisingly enjoy it yourself. It's a great place to watch your children have fun learning & make family memories at an affordable price!
Completely interactive place for kids, and there's so much to do. The three story "Ed" is great but the insides can be frightening to smaller kids. There's a s"sypermarket", library w/puppet show stage, fire truck & fireman's pole, "ice hockey" rink, "snow ball" shooter (rubber balls you can shoot at each other in a caged area), tubes with forced air that move fur balls, a TV studio, inner tube slide, veterinary area and more...and almost everything is included in admission price. The 1 missing star is for no cafeteria/snack place that we saw and some of the toys, especially in the veterinary area, are old/worn and need replacing. But otherwise it's a GREAT place for kids ages 2-7. Older ones might like it but much more stuff geared towards the younger ones
Twice a year, for the last 10 years, I've brought my children to Columbia to see the Giant Boy!! We have absolutely loved it every single time. This most recent visit kids got to "drive" & "ride" on an ✈ airplane.
Awesome museum with great exhibits! A little small, but overall was impressed.
Kids loved it more than we did
Such an amazing place for children. Came here for my 7 year old twin daughters school field trip and we had an absolute blast. I don’t know why but my favorite parts were the little real-like grocery store they had, the real-like airplane and the big building blocks on the second floor. All of the children really enjoyed themselves and it was well worth the hour drive from Augusta. Will be returning this summer when school is out.
Although we used the facility for a group function, we found the parking to be easy and accessible.
The kids love this place every time we go. I also love that it is in the same parking lot as the museum. It is easy to come to Edventure for an hour, or to spend many hours hanging out. The cafe is surprisingly reasonable too, so it would be a great spot to spend the morning and then grab lunch. Excited to use our membership often this year.
Always love taking the kids here! Amazing place and if you have Medicaid. Or Wellcare it is only 2.00 per person!!! It is a great day trip for all and well worth the price for the many things in there to do
Fun friendly museum for kids and adults. Lots to see and do. Friendly and kind staff as well as volunteers. Check website for the exhibits and what's happening as it changes often.
My husband and I brought our children here during a small family trip and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! It was very interactive and the kids loved it.
loved it!!. my kids had such a fun time
Great hands on activities for kids of all ages! I as an adult had lots of fun with my grandson! We will visit again.
Our granddaughters had a wonderful time with all the attractions there and the staff was very polite.
We love going here as a get away from the heat or cold. It has something for kids of all ages.
My kids have always loved all the different activities especially the grocery store and fire truck. Some days can be a little overwhelming for us we didn't realize we visited during a camp they were having and the kids from the camp were pushing other kids down and taking everything out of each station, it was chaos. I was surprised how little supervision they had and they weren't being made to follow rules, clean up messes or reminded to be considerate of others. We've been coming here for years & have never seen anything like it. Then the elevator was closed due to them putting up stickers on the wall & I have a handicapped son & wasn't made aware of it until we tried using it and it limited us to downstairs.
Such a great experience. There was so much for my 5 year old to do and explore. Definitely fun for the adults too. Definitely a place we would go back to! Really neat exhibits and we loved the interactive boy statue
ABSOLUTELY the best spot for children of all ages to learn and play, my family from Kentucky had an educational experience!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
It was our first time visiting EdVenture Museum. There is four levels to explore and on the fourth floor you can watch the sun! Lots of history to see. Throughout the building there are beautiful trees such as fiddle fig etc. 3rd levee has …
My kids LOVE this place. We should have bought an annual pass.
A great place to take your children to and there are lots of exhibits to keep them entertained for hours.
Our children [10, 7, 4] love coming here! It's both educational and entertaining for them. The hands-on aspect is fantastic for them, but we usually stay away during cold and flu season. Highly recommend, just use sanitizer liberally and often!
Kids always have a great time here. So much to do they are never bored.
The kids love Edventure. Its always a great place to spend the day.
Wonderful experience me and my children enjoyed the back to school bash.
Kids love this place! They rotate some play exhibits so that everything isn’t the same, but keep the favorites that kids always go back to.
The kids and I love the layout and friendly staff
Enjoyed every second I was there
My daughter loves this place. Her mom as i like it but there are a good many children with no one watching them
Many exhibits are non-working, parts missing. Shelves, counters are very dirty, especially noticed in the play grocery store section. Science show was very nice, but to charge an extra dollar for a single marshmallow is ridiculous.
This children's museum was recommended to me by multiple people as the best in the whole southeast. Well, it was a nice experience, but I guess I'd rather be outside with the kids hiking than inside following a scripted play experience that …
This place was beyond dirty. No one has cleaned or even swept the floor in weeks. Inches of dirt, dust and grime top most displays. At least half the centers are broken or completely worn out. Staff is apathetic at best. Summer campers run around out of control while the staff person assigned to them sits on their phone. This place is a "skip it" for sure
A nice place to go with your kiddo when it’s raining or too hot; however, it needs a lot of work and upkeep. Several of the exhibits don’t work properly or are very worn down.
I thought this place could use a deep cleaning.
Lots of different hands on activities for all age children, good fit for a big family with different interests. Rotating exhibits mean something new for different visits. Staff is friendly. I recommend going on an "off" day as it can get a little overwhelming when the place is packed.
My kids LOVE the museum-its a great place for a rainy day or just for a change of pace. We’ve been members for 2 years, and love the permanent and rotating exhibits! It’s great for any age kids (and parents too!!)
I love bringing the kids here to have fun as they learn as well! Eddie is awesome! I enjoy coming here every time!
Took my 1 year old for his 1st time and he didn't want to leave. It was an amazing place! Lots to do for ages up t ok I would say around 10 years old. He was just amazed at everything.
Amazing place. Reduced 1 star because they overcharge. $35 for a child with 2 parents. Absolutely not fair to charge the parents. For sure not $10 for each.
The museum was a bit underwhelming. They had most of the exhibits we had seen at other museums. The staff was also not friendly. We waited at the gifts shop register for the girl selling tickets to check us out. When we finally got her attention she said "oh, I have a line and that register is closed." Then she turned her back to us. Disappointing visit.
My kids love this place and I do as well. So much family fun under one roof
Took my niece to Edventure for her first visit as a toddler. She thoroughly enjoyed herself. Ed himself is a bit overwhelming for a small child but the grocery store demanded two stops. She had so much fun. We can’t wait to take her back.
Great place for kids to learn by doing. So many great activities for little ones and big ones.
Very well organized and clean place for kids to play.
Went to this place with our three grandchildren. No one was available to assist in the activities or supplies for making anything. It appears that the summer camp people were the only ones who mattered. Will not be back.
