You have the reviews of real people who buy the services and products of BMW Zentrum (Museum) near to the state of South Carolina.
At the moment the business has a score of 4.6 out of 5 and this score is based on 743 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average score it has is practically the top, and it is founded on a high number of reviews, so we may think that the rating is very reliable. If many people have bothered to give their score when they've done well with the business, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to write feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Museum is classified in the category of Museum.
Had a great time learning about facility on tour as well as checking out the small museum. Friendly people and cool cars... What more could you ask for!
So cool to see all the different years of BMW history. Lots of fun for any car folks especially a BMW fan such as myself.
Tells about the story of BMW and has cars on display. Also has a beer area and deli along with a shop to purchase items.
Very nice BMW local production museum. The only problem is for the factory tour you have to book days in advance. Therefore if you are planning to be in the area make your reservation way ahead before you'll come.
5 star place for BMW enthusiasts .
It's great that it takes only 32hours to produce a car after placing your order.
This place is awesome! Very interesting museum. If you are fortunate enough to get a factory tour with Sheryl, you won't be disappointed. The Germans could teach us quite a bit about running a "green" manufacturing plant. Can't take photos in the plant, but you can at the museum.
A very nice place to spend some quality time if you are a car nut ,has a little BMW store inside tucked away with some nice goodies, recommend it especially if you take the factory your which we did . Very high tech manufacturing with some serious numbers like for instance 1.2 million square feet of floor space and 10 thousand workers supported by 20 thousand suppliers working like some busy bees making all the X3-X4-X5-X6 and soon the new X7 seven cars for the entire planet amazing
It's a great place for BMW gears
Wow wow wow A shining example of how manufacturing brings the community, history and the workplace together. Free to attend, self guided tours allows you to get up close and personal with what BMW Spartanburg makes and gives you a really good idea of the the BMW ideology. We truly had an amazing time. Immaculate surroundings, friendly caring staff and a warm atmosphere makes this the perfect "go to" for employees that want to give the family a fun day out, or even future BMW owners an idea of how their "baby" came to be.
We visited the museum after taking a tour of the manufacturing plant to watch how the X3 is built. The tour was excellent and very interesting! The museum has some beautiful vehicles over many years and is worth a visit.
Nice car exhibits. Nice items in the gift shop.
Beautiful museum. Nice shop inside. I did notice there were not many BMWs in the Employee parking lot
A great experience on seeing how they assembly BMW vehicles. Worth the tour
Nice place, smaller than I expected. Also has food and a gift shop
What a great tour. Did the 2 hour tour where they took us to body shop and assembly line. This plant pumps out 1400 vehicles a day. The sheer size and production is incredible. The tour guides were knowledgeable and the whole manufacturing process is explained in great detail. Ben was our guide and he was pretty great. Makes me want to buy a BMW as soon as I can afford it.
It is nice and free. There are some nice cars and couple motorcycles in there but with all the cool cars BMW had made, they could make the experience much better. Good to stop by if you are driving by. Not worth a special trip. But when you are done there, drive about a mile up the road and check out the customer delivery and driving experience track.
The outside scenery is quite something, otherwise if you don't do a tour, there's really not much to see... Also -1 Star because I tried for at least two weeks to reach them for a tour-reservation but no reaction to this day. So we just visited the small exhibition of cars... They are transferring the reservation to an online platform, so this will probably better in the future.
Very small. Need to plan ahead and make a reservation for an assembly tour.
Tour of the manufacturing facility was very cool and only $10. Highly recommend!
very interesting place for car enthusiasts, beautiful cars waiting to be seen from many years ago and current produced cars in the heart of South Carolina.
They have started their factory tours again and they are better than before. You go by van, with headsets explaining the manufacturing process. Really recommended. Children 12+ only.
This is a historical museum displaying all kinds of cool BMWs. It is free and an easy thing to do if you are in the area or need a break from traveling. They have a nice sandwich counter, so you can grab lunch and a beer. There is also a show where you can buy BMW swag.
Loved it amazing vehicles to look at
Small representation of BMW history and vehicles. Friendly staff, great gift shop and make sure you grab a cappuccino at the cafe. Geraldine will greet you with a smile and great service.
Nice to drop in to see, but not a lot of exhibits or things to interest. May be comparing too much to the simply excellent Zentrum in Munich. Lacks focus or direction.
You can come n tour the facility.
Great place to work! Fast paced and steady work environment. Blessed to be apart of it.
Fantastic!!! Free with a nice gift shop. LOVE all the vintage classics they have on display and of course the new vehicles are gorgeous!
Really cool cars and motorcycles
Great to see all the old and new BMW's. Worth a visit for any car lover !!
It was a great experience will be back. Great Great Great.
The strudel was top quality and the service nice at the cafe. They have some interesting cars on display. The grounds are nice. Too bad the factory tours were sold out, but we could not make advance reservations.
Helpful staff ..self guided tours .new building beautiful cafe gift shop . The cars speak for them selves. Amazing
Awesome experienc. Don't use Google maps for navigation. Use the direction provided by BMW
Great place to see a small set of cars. Great gift shop. However, the gift shop does not give a discount for BMW CCA members like the gift shop at the Performance Driving Center. But the gift shop here does have a larger variety of items.
Great tour of BMW plant. 900 robots making body. Friendly staff who are very knowledgeable. Lots of walking 2+ miles. No pictures. Make sure you get your free cookie af Cafe.
A Bucket List destination. I recommend making a reservation for a behind-the-scenes production tour.
I was there 3-4 years ago before they did it. It was much more museum-like. Now it looks like a car dealership. VERY disappointing this time.
This museum is on the property of BMW Manufacturing Company.
The tours are run like a well-oiled machine. #Germanefficiency. No cameras, mobile devices, and wearable tech (i.e. smart watches) are allowed. When I visited, the gift store had a great sale on. I liked that your tour ticket gives you a treat from the cafe afterwards. Washrooms are super clean and fancy.
Love the BMW;^D
It's not a large museum but it has great cars and motorcycles. It's very well organized.
Great place to work.
great place to visit if u like bmw
Got a job the works at BMW . But the museum of the BMW cars that I saw beautiful cars.
Fun tour of a large BMW factory and showroom. Cameras were not allowed in the factory.
Awesome museum, but bummed the tour was not open to anyone under 12. I had a disappointing ten-year-old. That said, I am ready to get high because it was not even supposed to be open on a Saturday!
Attended an event here and enjoyed seeing the collection of BMW cars both New and old and all simply marvelous.
Good place to work
Very cool they have this.
Loved it!! A must see if you're a fan of cars.
If you visit here, you definitely must take the two hour tour in order to get the whole experience. It’s worth doing one time to get an inside look at how an automobile manufacturing plant works. Very interesting!
Very interesting and well worth visiting.
Great place to learn about BMW.
Too cool must see.
Incredible Manufacturing Facility- Great Plant Tour. We went with our Newcomers group. 15 of us. The Zentrum folks were great to work with setting up the tour, and very accommodating when some of our members couldn't make it. We did the one hour tour and it was excellent. Our tour guide, Ed, was extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of the plant. And a nice guy to boot. The factory itself was amazing. I've toured some very impressive facilities, including Boeing in Everett, and I'd rank BMW Spartanburg at the top of the list. If you're in the Upstate SC area, make a reservation and tour this plant, you'll be glad you did!
Wow, what a fascinating experience. Just walking around at my own pace and the shopping in gift shop. So many items to choose from. The cars are amazingly beautiful.
This was just awesome! Old cars that define generations of BMW, and the new cars that are paving the way forward. You'll get to tour yourself, or go on guided, and explore history of BMW. Definitely worth a stop when passing by, if even for a few minutes.
Beautiful BMW cars there! Kind of a small place but very enjoyable
Super friendly staff. Great facility, coffee shop is great, it's a great place to relax. I'm there pretty often, and I see that lots of folks like to stop from the freeway. So a great rest stop. Gas stations and fast food joints at same exit.
Very nice and a well kept introduction to BMW
Absolutely positively outstanding tour and I must place visit if you're down in that area
It's where I work
Very nice! Came too late to do tour, will be back
We only did the 1 hour tour, but it was very informative. Our guide Olivia was awesome and made the experience better
If you’re in the area of either Greenville, SC or Spartanburg, SC, then this is a great place for you to visit. I highly recommend visiting the BMW Zentrum if you like cars, as this museum has some of the most famous cars the BMW has ever produced. It has four displays, with one being their M series (their performance line), another one being their i series (their electric line), the third one being a collection of their most famous cars dating back to the early twentieth century, and the last being a showcase of all of their X series models (X3, X4, X5, X6, and X7). The X series is what the factory located right beside the museum produces. Moving on, besides getting to see a couple vehicles, you can purchase a factory tour to see how the cars are produced. The 1 hour tour shows guests the plant’s assembly line, while the 2 hour tour shows the assembly line and the body shop.
Very well thought out and very informative. I'd expect nothing else from BMW.
Not much to see here except some very overpriced cars. I was expecting more information about the history of BMW and modern car-making technology.
Very nice place if you are a bmw fan lot of history
The history and future of the Ultimate Driving Machines. Very impressive and a must see. Nice selection and ambiance of beer as well.
The museum itself is not very extensive. The best part is the display of historic cars. The one that all of the first Team 10 members signed is especially cool! The bathrooms are clean and well-stocked. The Cafe's offerings are lackluster, but no one goes there for the food haha. Take the longer version of the tour and you'll get to see much more about BMW. It's awesome seeing all of the things BMW does to keep their employees safe, like the ergonomic robotic stuff (I don't remember the actual terms). I recommend this for families with older kids since I think 12 and under aren't allowed.
My family and I really enjoyed touring this Museum. If I remember correctly I think it was free for us at the time. We even bought many souvenirs from their local shop with a nice cafe. I'd love to come back sometime and try their driving school which I hear is one of the best! It was really fun to tour around and take pictures and learn more about the history of BMW and what makes them pretty special and Technical! We pretty much had the place to ourselves in early June. My pictures I'm including are few years old but they were so fun to take with the kids I wanted to share them with my positive review.
Outstanding experience!
This is where you start your BMW Factory tour from. Great place. Small museum and gift shop
Really amazing place to visit. So many applications of engineering and science. The 2 hour tour was fantastic and showed you the in depth process of the vehicle manufacturing!
Great facility, and it only takes a few minutes to get most of the experience if you just want to stop in for a quick visit.
The BMW Zentrum is a very nice place. The staff are very friendly and helpful
Interesting facts
Insane collection of super rare BMWs. Super friendly people
Great experience. Very knowledgeable tour. I just told you I highly recommend.
This place rocks! The museum is fascinating (you have to book tickets online, but they were only $10), we got to sit in two new electric models, the staff was very helpful - you HAVE to arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour starts (the ticket says 30 minutes) because its a bus ride to the factory and the bus comes and goes at the appointed time because the tour is timed with the factory systems. My 15 year old son went by himself because the tour was full, but he enjoyed it and learned a lot. The guide let him contribute his knowledge, and gave him a brochure to apply for an internship there when he got to college! All the folks were wonderful, the gift shop is pricey (I guess to be expected, it is BMW), and the cafe was a bit thin on options, but it was a beautiful facility. Book early, as slots are sometimes hard to come by. A great way to spend a day.
A small museum and gift shop at BMW's Spartanburg factory. It does a nice job of showing BMW's history, including its Motorsport history. It's actually part showroom as well, with examples of some of their current car, SUV, electric vehicle, and motorcycle models on display. If you find yourself in the Spartanburg or Greenville area, I'd definitely stop in and pay it a visit, it's just off of I-85 at SC 101.
We did the one hour tour and it was fun and interesting. my only "complaint" is that it would have been great if we walked a little slow and spent more time at each stop so you could take in a bit more what was happening. Next time we'll take the two hour tour that includes the body shop. Great to overall!
Tour was great but they keep you some distance from assembly lines. Impressive facility.
I’m glad I stopped off at this site! I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was humongous! The museum was cool to look at and the performance school was neat. I would go back!
2nd time there. What a neat experience. Thanks BMW for making an experience like this possible
Great place to spend an hour looking at bmw past and present
This is really an auto manufacturing plant tour. The Zentrum building itself has displays of current BMW offerings and a few of historic interest (we counted 5). There's a nice cafe (bottled German beers, bratwurst, pretzel, and coffees and pastries, friendly staff) and a gift shop. You assemble there for your tour. We took the one hour tour because the two hour tour books up months in advance. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and engaging, and the only negative was that the tour was too short--we needed to keep moving along when we could have happily watched things for another several minutes. It is a fascinating plant. For historic interest, I suggest the nearby (a mile away) headquarters of the BMW Car Club Of America (CCA), which has a nice display space and does temporary exhibits. We saw a fun one on the BMW 2002; about 30 vehicles with excellent explanatory labels.
Beautiful BMW s on display.
Old school M3 & Z8.... need I say more?
So fun great place great tours
Excellent tour. All staff looked pleasant and the entire tour was well done.
The museum was interesting. We took the one hour factory walking tour and that was very interesting too. The guides were great! The only short coming was we a little too far from the action.
If you love BMWs and love looking at their history of car models this is a great spot for you.
Very good place
This is a nice museum, but it is very small. They have a selection of current cars, some recent race cars, and a handful of historic cars and motorcycles. It is tastefully designed, but very small. It won't take more than 30 minutes to view the entire museum and check out the other gift store. It is free, so should stop by if you are picking you car up here.
Recommend highly! Take the two hour tour and you will have a great time. Easy to get to and the tour is well planned. They take you on a bus to the different locations on the tour and they give you a headset so it is easy to hear the guide on the production floor. You get a cool magnet and a cookie at the end. Great gift shop and snack bar available too.
A tour of the museum with some very interesting pieces followed by a visit of the assembly plant for the X3 and X4. Priceless! A facility so clean, you could eat off the floor. Amazing tour and opportunity for a unique behind the scenes access to the assembly of some impressive vehicles.
I love swimming in the fountain
Lots of neat cars in the zentrum.
The tour was so much fun! I highly recommend a BMW tour!! It was informational and fun to watch various parts of the assembly line.
I haven't had the chance to check out the actual Zentrum..... I'm just grateful for the opportunity to work there., even if just temporarily.
BMW is the most awesome car. This places showcases that!
Great tour of the BMW X series assembly line.
Best not to mention one of the only BMW museums in the states. Initially buildings don't normally catch my attention however the museum certainly did. The outside of the museum contained magnificent fountains and wonderful gardens that really took my breath away. But the inside was even nicer with cars dating all the way back to the beginning of BMW and luxury cars and a really powerful glimpse of history. I got to see how cars were made and all the advertisements for BMW. I really enjoyed coming here and I wouldn't mind dropping by for another quick visit again later
The tour was amazing! Got to see the cars put together piece by piece. Then got to see them test them.
Very nice museum. But school tours had filled the factory tour.so someone who is actually of purchasing age was excluded.
1st class theatre and show room.
Don’t miss the factory tour if you are in that region .
The BMW Zentrum is a great place in and of itself, but it's even better for a meeting or special event. Even if you are not a car buff, you're going to enjoy this.
Nicely designed, with a small collection.
This is a must see place. This tour is very informative and educational.
Very great tour of the plant lots of walking though.
BMW cars surround you as you walk through and see not only the history of BMW, but the future as well.
I just loved the place. From my visit hopefully I can afford one of those vehicles one day! And the lady on the coffee machine is "something special"!!!
Very lovely museum with a professional feel that gives you a look at the ultimate driving machine and the factory in which they are made
A great place to stop in. Great for the whole family. Free admission. A very nice offering from BMW. There is a gift shop with plenty of "Beemerphenalia" to browse through and a couple of the latest electric offerings to sit in.
We visited this BMW Zentrum while we were visiting Greenville. This place is about 30 minutes drive from Downtown Greenville South Carolina. This is the factory where they assembly all the BMW SUV for the American market. It has a few of the classic cars from BMW also.
Lovely ambiance!
This really is a nice place. Very impressive.
Very interesting shows how bmw have changed in the years, and more advance with technology
I Love Work. Perfect. Only thing. The Bach and Mozart you have playing in the bathroom, align it with the assembly lines, productivity in the restrooms are always good, however in the assembly lines, Bach and Mozart's Frequencies and Vibrations of HyperFocus would go a long way further with the music thereof ringing through the ears of the workers you have there. Perfection in the Assembly line will fill the bathrooms anyway right?
Amazing operation!
Awesome! Worth the trip
Learn the BMW story and see it's largest manufacturing facility.
very crisp hats. i got a picture wearing one of them
Beautiful place nice people and they will take you in a tour of the plant
A must stop for any car enthusiast. They had the i8 unlocked and the gift shop had some interesting merchandise.
Great facility! Showcasing some of the merchandise. Includes a gift shop for all your BMW gear.
We had an awesome experience there. For the first time got to see the whole process of manufacturing a car, and too BMW car!
Great place. Highly recommend the factory tour.
Small museum could have offered a more historical story of BMW overall, but otherwise a good stop.
Awesome. Felt like I was in Stuttgart.
Nice people, very friendly place to visit..
Very good tour, very good staff. Loved seeing the BMW's after going through the front entrance. Got to sit in an i8 roadster as well, which was unexpected. The only con was the headsets would sometimes lag while the lady leading our tour was speaking, which made me take one star away. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour (I went on the 1 hour tour, there is an optional 2 hour tour on Tuesdays and Thursdays).
Book your tickets online well in advance, tours fill up quickly. Highly recommend the 2 hour tour. The process of assembling cars is so fascinating! Absolutely loved this experience. Don’t forget that you can use your ticket to get a free cookie at the cafe after your tour!
So me sweet rides, but too small for an official BMW museum.
Clean facility, older heritage models, and the latest models. Don't understand why they keep most of the latest models locked. Very clean and friendly staff.
It's BMW!! Top of the line service and customer treatment.... Even though my Bimmer is an older one. They don't make a difference. BMW driver is BMW driver!! I like that!! Very helpful...
There's not much to see. A couple cool cars to see and gift shop. It's cool if it's on your route but not really worth an hour detour.
Nice little collection - can't wait to tour the whole factory
They redid the layout since I had previously been here and now there are less cars to see but its still really cool because of the cars they kept.
Incredible heritage, amazing technology
Best car plant I have visited so far in NA.
Nice for as big (small) as it is.
First time in there, place looks great!!
Great experience, knowledgeable tour guide, incredible facility and assembly process. When will they offer tours thru the paint facility?
Of course you can look at awesome cars but I enjoy the coffee here. Personally, the coffee here is better than Startbucks!
As an employee of BMW, you will be amazed at the process of how, not just any vehicle is made, but "The Ultimate Driving Machine"! The BMW Manufacturing plant is definitely something you should check out if you are in the Greater Greenville/Spartanburg area. The museum is free to walk around , but the 2 different tours (a 1 hour and a 2 hour) will cost you some money. Definitely worth it though. Parking is free. Just make sure you park in the designated Visitors parking area.
Don’t work for variety because they will hold your money from you so find a different job
Very nice, great cars, variety in gift shop, and overall very impressive
Very fun! You can experience a great tour of the facility show casing how things are built and see the magnitude in which things are made. A fine bit of BMW heritage is discovered upon seeing classic BMW vehicles and motorcycles. It's a great tour and the the expanding minds of our youth love to see operations like this! This is great, thanks! The Music Place
It's an amazing place to visit and check out the new BMW's and their store and gift shop.
Beautiful but small
Huge place, but one of the best
If you're a BMW enthusiast, then you can't miss this place. BMW Spartanburg is the largest automotive exporter in the US! The Zentrum ("center") tells that story and much more about the history of this iconic brand.
