It was a nice museum to learn more about the Seabees which I was clueless on. They have some amazing items on display that are definitely one of a kind. The women working the register was so nice and friendly. Would recommend stopping by.

Home of the Seabees -- great historical displays on the origins of the U.S. Navy Seabees.

Laurie Bohanan

It was nice to see this area made into a museum. The bee and some Quonset huts have been carefully restored. The museum is free, but they do accept donations. There is also a small gift shop with lots of Seabee items such as tshirts available. All items have been donated to this museum so it took lots of folks to make this happen

It was interested in the history of what my grandfather went through when he was a Seabee. Especially since Quansett, RI was where the Seabees started. It was so awesome that this museum is built and staffed by ex Seabees, all volunteers. It's always growing and is a must see.

After 32 years of service, this was my last military TDY before retiring. Enjoyed seeing the museum and learning about the birthplace of the SEABEE's. A must visit stop when in the area.

We loved our visit to the museum a few years ago -- I took my Dad who was in the Seabees in 1944. I just took him again for another visit on Thursday August 7, 2014 and the website said it was open but when we got there it was closed - a small note on the door said (open Wed, Frid, Sat). unfortunately we couldn't make a return trip. I strongly recommend that the website should be updated to reflect when the store/museum is open. There are so many people that stop by that miss out on a great look back at history. Another gentleman stopped by who was one of the architects to the Seabee statue and he mentioned the same thing --- was disappointed the museum has been closed everytime he has stopped by. We hope to stop again next year when it is open. Thank you.
