Here you will see all the opinions of real people like you who use the services and products of American Helicopter Museum & Education Center (Museum) near Pennsylvania.
At present this firm receives a rating of 4.6 stars over 5 and this rating has been based on 266 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is basically the highest, and it's founded on a high number of feddbacks, so we can conclude that the valuation is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they are happy with the business, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to write scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...

Hosted our son's birthday party here. Great place for kids. The staff was great and Mr. Jim was so nice with the kids and really got them all involved. Great place for a party or a visit. The kids loved learning about the helicopters today!
Visited with our grandson who had a great time. In addition to all of the helicopters, there is a play area for kids, which our grandson loved.
Hidden gem! Go there and prepare to nerd out if you dig helicopters and their history.
Great place for a quick afternoon visit with young and old alike. Not a huge place but has some unique exhibits.
Great time and event for father's day! And a terrific helicopter ride!
Well organized with hands on activities for the kids. Staff was friendly and helpful. They let us know that a helicopter was taking and we could watch.
Great place full of history. The docents are knowledgeable and I gather most are pilots. Bring the kids.
Fascinating place. All you want to know about helicopters. Nice guides too
Awesome experience for the kids. Visited on a weekday and practically had the whole place to ourselves. Great little kids area. A lot of helicopters to see.
We absolutely love this place. Displays inside change regularly. Today they were selling helicopter rides. It was fun to watch small planes taking off and landing during our visit.
If you love helicopters this place is for you! Kids and adults can board a couple of the birds on display. Tons of history and connections to the Philadelphia market. Don't miss the only V-22 Osprey out on the tarmac, it's the only one in the world open to public viewing.
Hidden gem!
I liked the museum just did not like the people I went with
Great time very interesting
Interesting assortment of helicopters on display with other exhibits on site. Reasonably priced fees and plenty of on-site parking available. Staff are very knowledgeable.
Friendly, helpful staff. Great place for an event
A must visit location with the family.
10$ entry fee. 5$ for helicopter simulator experience for 10 mins. It contains helicopters from 1940 to present. It has one of three gaint V-22 osprey outside. Parking is free right outside. Must visit who likes history of areal innovations. It also has some models & you can buy some toy & model helicopters. They have helicopter rides on some weekends.
Cool place to take the kids, plenty of photo opportunities. Nice place to make memories!
Not much worth
I had some free passes from my Uncle, who's a member, so I checked this place out yesterday. They have a LOT of helicopters, with a focus on military and search and rescue. If you have a favorite copter, you can probably find it here. There's also some neat hands-on exhibits geared toward kids, demonstrating the physics behind these machines.
Great family outing
This museum has aircraft that they will let you walk inside of and play with buttons! Great interactive exhibits for children (and adults!) explaining the principles of flight and the development of helicopters over time. It also has a nice helicopter-themed gift shop.
Very interesting, granddaughter was amazed
Interesante lugar para los fanaticos de Helicopteros, aunque no soy de ellos aun asi me parecio interesante...
The private tour was Awesome
Loved the Museum, I have always wanted to fly and this is the 1st step. A most see for all ages
This museum hosts some gorgeous replicas and offers a variety of interactive displays focusing on rotary wing aviation. Additionally, their state of the art viewing room offers a place to hold your event complete with a huge projection screen. A must see with over 40 models.
Very interesting. It was something i thought I'd get around to. Now that I've been there, I'd go back. There is a lot of history. (Personally, i don't know they climb in them). AMAZING PLACE!
Really cool museum! Military & civilian helicopters, info, and walk-through. Want to be amazed by human mechanical ingenuity? Gotta see this...
Good place for Kids, also try that Helicopter simulator.
Nice place! They have a lot of cool helicopters to see
Neat educational spot for all ages, history of helicopters how they work, what they are used for. Never knew that Philly area was such a hot bed for helicopter development
We attended a child's birthday party here on a Saturday. It's a nice sized museum with a good variety of aircraft indoors and out. There are a number of interesting exhibits throughout, like a cutaway (piston) engine that you can rotate by hand to see the moving parts, aircraft that you can walk through, and several that you can sit in and work the controls. The larger aircraft are outside and you can walk around them. It was a great place for a kids birthday party; they have a play room and another room where you can serve food and cake. The museum backs up to the West Chester airport and you can watch planes (and helicopters) take off and land.
Small but fun museum for kids. There's a small play area as well. My three year old had a great time sitting in some of the helicopters!
All kinds of helicopters on display!
It was great
This was a neat place to visit. Smaller than we expected but had lots of helicopters inside.
$10 adult admission. Small museum then I thought. It was nice seeing v-22 osprey parked outside for us to look at. And the chinook ch-47s. Vets get $3 discount, as well as for boeing employees. A theatre room, and a classroom with video. Several helicopters inside the museum. Its a good hour tour to see it all. there is a shop at the enterance. Plently of parking. Staff are courtesy and is around to answer questions.
Great hands on place
Nice surprise find. This had about a dozen helicopters and 5 of which you can go in. Kids had a blast playing inside them. It has a cute kids are for tots. Overall, this is a nice stop.
Great little museum. Lots of really cool aircraft on display including a V-22 Osprey!
Cool place to learn some history
Fun for kids and interesting to adults.
Love this place!
Flew into Brandywine Airport adjacent to the museum. Great way to get here from a distance. Museum is terrific!
A neat place to walk around.
Always a wonderful experience. Good for adults and kids. For mom nearby is QVC headquarters showroon and studio
Fun, informative museum about Helicopters throughout history, and let's you sit in and explore several of them. Also has a good play room, great for kids! My son lights up when we tell him we're going to the huppaduppa museum.
Cool place to visit, can also be used for wedding venues.
Go, just go.
Great place to see the same stuff that's down in Washington but without all the crowds! Up close and personal is the best way to describe the layout of the displays. There are a few copters that you can climb into to feel like a pilot! The museum can accommodate adults as well as kids of all ages. My wife and I wandered around for about an hour or so. For $10 its a great value. When you are done, the center of West Chester is 5 minutes down Rt3 for a host of places to get something to eat. I can recommend Gramms Kitchen. Nice home made entrees ! Crab cake and mac/cheese made to order! Yum.
Nice collection
It was small but educational with theater. It has a playroom for kids, and clean restrooms. The helicopter displays are great. It also has a nice but over priced gift shop.
So much to see within a relatively small space + kid friendly
Pretty interesting. Lots of events going on. Cool Helicopters, real except for someone weird blowup snowmen. Just sorta boring to do more than once. Maybe an annual family activity.
My 2 & 3 y.o. grandson's loved this place. They especially enjoyed the little indoor play area.
Fantastic. Going back tomorrow
A most incredible museum!
An awesome, fun little place for the family. My children 13, 5, 3 loved their visit. You cant beat being able to climb on/in helicopters, can you?
This museum had a wide range of helicopters to look at and it was definitely worth the $8 (student price) to go in to. My friends and I spent about an hour here and from the looks of it they also have venues to host a variety of parties. I'm only giving it four stars simply because it is a "one-and-done" museum for me at least, the entire museum makes up a decent sized warehouse, but there was not much to bring me back a second time.
It's basically one large room with lots of helicopters. Some interesting displays but smaller than expected - I wouldn't expect to spend more than an hour here. If you're into helicopters you'll probably like it but it probably won't draw you in if that's not your thing.
Great presentation and tour. Lots of items to view.
Interesting place to visit
I've always wanted to go here after seeing the signs for the museum about million times during my many commute hours on 202 and local roads between Downingtown and West Chester. Kids and 'wannabe kids' alike, y'all find something awesome to learn, touch and experience here. They have an amazing selection even though it's a small museum - you'll be done in about 1-2 hours. But what they also have is an incredible staff and community helpers who help answer any questions you might have. They have a
Came here for a work party last Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed looking at the helicopters in this museum. It was my first time in West Chester as well and this made the visit memorable.
What can I say, I like history and I like machines. I like that they have veterans there who know all about the military helicopters. And whoever the guy was who showed me the wing from the manpowered helicopter on the ceiling and then continued to explain how the whole thing worked was awesome, if it weren't for him my boys would have missed something great.
really exciting place and a real secret hint when traveling in Pennsylvania
Cool copters. Great educational place. Best for kids over 7 years. You only need an hour to see everything.
Great museum plenty of helicopters and knowable staff. Will go back
Interesting display of many different helicopters, their history, and theory of operation
Really Kool, veterans get a discount too!
Lots of fun. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
Awesome place
Amazing helicopter museum
We were at the American Helicopter Museum for a fathers day event. Though the weather was hot my kids enjoyed being able to get into the helicopters. Because it was a special event they also had a bouncy house, other air filled things for kids to play on, and plenty of food venders. They also incorporated a car show. Overall it was a good time.
interesting place to visit
Good for school trips. An hour of fun for military buffs.
My husband and I visited the Helicopter Museum. Very cool to see helicopters up close.
What a great place to visit. If you are at all interested in helicopters you will really like this place. Did not know that this area had so many ties to the manufacturing and development of helicopters. If you are ever close by, I recommend stopping in for a visit. $10.00 admission with discounts for students, seniors and military.
Awesome place with some awesome helicopters in great condition beautiful place to visit
This museum is pretty cool my husband an I took out boys here they love it very fundamental experience , you can also reserve this museum for party and different event so that's pretty cool
Great for any gear head and their kids.
Cool place if you're into aviation.
I love this place
Very nice place and educational especially for kids..
Awesome place to take the kids to.
Love this place! A wonderful place for your family to enjoy.
Great museum
Lots of helicopters to climb in and explore. Great bits about the history of flight.
If vertical flight is for you, this is the place for you.
Visited for the second time on a field trip with kindergartners. The staff were very nice and the kids loved the cute video they put on for us. They really enjoyed seeing all of the helicopters and learning about what they did. There were four I believe that you could get in or walk through as well.
Very happy ,learned slot about helicopters..
in fact this is my first ever helicopter show and it was fatabulous. Great entertainmentfor kids. Over 40 different sized helicopters and lots of fun activities. Helicopter rides too. staff were cooperative.. Great time i had this weekend
Nice small museum. Great volunteers. Nice to be able to walk through some of the units. Take the kids!
...wonderful displays of some rare 'birds...
Very nice experience. My 6 year old love it!!
It was bery nice
Dizzying highs and some lows. But as this was my 10th visit I was eligible for their fantastic buy one grounded and mothballed helicopter and get the second
Great place, filled with awesome helicopters and such friendly staff.
Took my little brother here at 3PM on a Saturday to the museum and they were closed despite having hours listed until 5PM their website as well as no indication of early closing online on their calendar. As we were leaving, another group of people also showed up to the closed museum. It was pretty dissapointing for my brother, because he was excited to see the helicopters.
So many amazing helicopters and planes. You can sit into some of them, which was super cool.
I was pleasantly surprised at seeing so many different types of helicopters here, and how they were displayed. The guide we had was also excellent, giving us a presentation that was filled with so much history and information, and presenting it in a way that had us laughing and easily understanding the way propellers and rotors worked, how air moved, and how these machines flew.
This was a nice experience when I took my daughter. I expected the display information to be a little more kept up when it comes to quailty. They added a theater which looks amazing! Friendly staff when I went. I wish the inventory could be changed or added new items to keep the younger crowd interested. I'm glad they have a place with a ton of history.
Enjoy learning
Came here twice and we absolutely loved it.
I like to fly.
It's a cool place. There are interactive activities and it's educational. Also, there is an airport behind where you can see planes and helicopters taking off and landing. I think it's a great place for kids.
Fun spot for families. Be sure to check out special events for helicopter rides. Very educational.
Very cool place to be at, You can get inside the cockpit of helicopters and feel like you are actually flying them. The only problem I have is that most of the Helicopters that you can get in have this weird smiley face on it, I mean if you're a kid that wants to feel like they're in a helicopter I don't think you would want to have a gigantic smiley face thing in you're way when you are trying to pretend to fly it. Other than that i would recommend this place to visit.
If you love helicopters this is the place
Great time. good displays. Staff very helpful
I loved the museum being a old areo engineer. Please note on your website that there is no admission fee. Many will come. Thank You: Ronald Wagner
Great how many different copters they have brought to one place. My wife was interested in the exhibit about early women pilots. My grandson liked the ones he could climb in.
Rotorfest.
planes of the ages
Very nice local museum with super cool helicopters. I was impressed with the size and variety. The military helicopters are especially cool.
Great little museum. Very interesting. A lot of history about helicopters. Helicopters on display are restored beautifully!
Great experience. We learned a lot about helicopters. I could tell the staff had a lot of experience with the helicopters on display
We went for Father’s Day because my husband loves helicopters. It was a fun filled day. Lots to see and do. Even a car show. We loved the drones! We will definitely go back for future events!
An enjoyable morning was spent here. Our 10 & 6 year old grandsons had a great time here imagining themselves as adults on the helicopters. The volunteer staff were very informative and helpful.
We had an awesome time, the kids (young and old) really enjoyed it!
Visited during there first astronomy workshop. Thw displays we saw were very cool with a listtle history of the helicopter. Definitely worth another visit.
Kids loved it. Make sure to plan a trip when they offer helicopter rides.
Went here on a school organized field trip, and it was a favorite for my little fly guy. The volunteer staff were fantastic with the kids of every age. This place is about as close to a "please touch me" museum as you can get. There were so many helicopters that the kiddos could get in and out of. There was also a themed play area for the littles. Entry to the museum is reasonably priced and the gift shop offerings had items in every conceivable price range. Based on their activity calendar this place seems very community minded as well. It is on the southeastern end of Chester County and seems closer to Exton.
Take GPA and the kids
Fun!
good one for a short visit. good to send 2-3 hours
Some pretty cool exhibits. Great for adults , but taking a 10 years old ?? They get bored in about one hour. Leave the kids home ..go on a rainy day and take your time reading all info about some very interesting exhibits.
American Helicopter Museum excellent displays of actual helicopers vintage & current. Tour person was a 35+ year military helicopter pilot. Very very knowledgeable and nice to talk with.
Awesome collection! !!
Educational and fun to climb on! $10/person and great indoor place to let kids run around / play.
A place that must be visited if you go to West Chester
My 7 and 4 year old boys loved it! 5 stars rating came from my son.
Impressive helicopter museum...
Great venue for your event
I enjoyed this place. It was a little smaller than I expected, but still very neat. Also it was really cool to be able to get into some of the helicopters.
Interesting and informative.
Great place and cheap
Neat place with excellent helicopter displays. Admission of $10 is well worth it if you are an aviation enthusiast.
Great museum for novice or expert
Not that much to see, friendly staff though.
Retired helicopters kept Entrance fee $10
The Helecopter Museum is a nice treat for kids and I would give more stars if only. My son 7 and I went into the gift shop at the end of our visit. I purchased some postcards and my son was entertaining himself with a spinning stick. I made sure he put it back before we left the store as the shop lady noticed he was playing with it. My son said that's fine mom I don't want anything, so we walked out. The shop lady started running behind us saying where's my spinner, where's my spinner. I turned around shocked as to why she is behaving in this manner as the shop is now full of people. I was embarrassed and being the only black person in the entire museum I couldn't help but feel targeted. I said to my son let's go back to show the lady you didn't take her spinner. She quickly realized that another kid had taken it however, she did not apologize. She ruined my whole experience and I will never go back nor recommend this place. The shop woman was rude and totally out of order. The staff SUCKED! Know one said hello to us or greeted us the entire time. Racist place black people beware.
Fun place for events!
Great place, educational and interesting
Very nice place.. Small but a good outing
Family Fun
Got to love the brewfest there!
Fun for kids and adults who are helicopter lovers
Nice place to know about helicopters
Cool little museum. Always wanted to go and wasn't disappointed.
Very neat place. Lots of information
Great displays
Great spot. Take your time and explore the exhibits and models!
