Great to see the Souther Pacific Daylight 4449 again. My father on law is on the crew of 4449. Amazing piece of equipment.

Lliam Shephard

Fun for Dad

Lai Stephen

It is a fun place to visit for the weekends. You can take the train for 30 minutes ride along the riverbank to the oaks tree amusement park.

jessica hubbard

Super friendly!

Erick Schlosser

My son loves trains! So naturally we had to come on a weekend and take a train ride. That's really all we did. I'd love to go back and learn more about these amazing machines.

Erik Holm

Awesome place to introduce your little ones to the massive majesty and history of the steam locomotive! Multiple static displays, interactive learning stations, and incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and most importantly friendly folks on staff to answer questions and tell all about the history and the workings of the trains. Don't waste a weekend sitting at home.

Mark Dahl

Cool to see the big trains lit up for pdxwlf

Claudia Nelson

Old steam engines on display and very knowledgeable volunteers to answer your questions.

Bert B

The staff was very knowledgeable on each of the trains. There exhibits are interactive and the train ride was wonderful. Try the Saturday afternoon train rides, I highly recommend it! It is located close to OMSI, so it's a great afternoon activity.

Basic B.

This museum is donation based. I love this place, I've been several time. The staff is friendly, it is in a convenient location. The size of the locamotives here is awe inspiring. Lots of history here.

Tim Dickinson

great old trains, free to get in, friendly staff. worth a visit!

D Kingore

Beautiful Locomotives! These guys are taking great care of them! THANK YOU!

Nathan Williams

An excellent place to bring your kids to show them how Industry and Travel used to work in this country. Friendly, accommodating staff, and admission is totally free, but they love donations. Be sure to check the website for hours of operation, as it is usually only open on weekends.

teo ramirez

What a great place! Train rides, neat little shop, and a spot for tots to play with a train set. Found this place on accident, will be returning very soon!

Gary Dennis

Portland is the only city that owns TWO OPERATING steam locomotives. The ORHC is where they live. In addition, there is another steam engine and another early diesel under restoration. This is where you learn about Oregon's rail history. There is no place like this anywhere else.

Jeff Petersen

Awesome place to get your steam and rust fix ! Money well spent to preserve functioning history !!! All the volunteers there are great people giving their time and knowledge to the cause !!

Chris Riedener

This is one of those technology museums that are underappreciated. It seems to be eclipsed by it's next door neighbor, but could actually compliment it. You can read about early 20th century locomotives on the internet, but here you can smell the gear oil, stand next to one, and wonder about the evolution of technology. The docents are excellent. Be sure to ask questions. A good display on the east wall introduces the rail network that was part of the Pacific NW timber industry, and the Spruce Division during WW1. I recommend a trip to the Pearson Air Museum for the latter.

Renganathan Ramamoorthy

The museum has done a fantastic job of preserving and maintaining some amazing locomotives. It's clean and for someone who loves trains, this would be a fantastic museum. For the kiddo train enthusiast, there are a couple train tracks and toy trains available to play to setup and relax before your trek towards the OMSI. Parking is under the overpass across the :O train tracks from the museum. Don't miss it.

Philippe Cornet

A perennial favorite of my preschool-age child. The volunteers are always friendly, they even opened 40 minutes early for us last weekend.

Marsha Van Wyngarden

Amazing one of a kind "engines". The volunteers are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Janice Wenrich

Really cool old trains, kids area with play train tracks, gift shop and history displays all for a suggested $5 donation. If you like trains at all, it is definitely worth the trip. We rode the MAX to the OMSI stop and it is just a few yards away. Nice volunteer staff. Take a few minutes and you'll see trains, the trolley, buses and MAX all in motion from here.

Jason buce

The trains are massive. Was surprised how large the steam engines were. My 2 year old loved the train ride. Will go back again

Mike Higgason

Excellent museum. Our 4 year old grandson had a blast. The train ride to oaks park was a hit.

Eric Duvall's Student Leadership Reprots for TESC

A most amazing place with lots of awesome train knowledge. Super kind staff

Mark D. Nunnenkamp

Small, but growing, operational, educational museum. Long awaited ongoing tribute to Oregon's rich & valued railroad history. Home to Portland's three steam locomotives, one of which powered the 1976 Freedom Train.

M.M. March

Very friendly and helpful

Court Berger

So much fun and informative! The whole family enjoyed the experience and we're looking forward to going back in the summer!

Googelneeds Moreprivacy

Knowledgeable staff. Their work is a labor of love

Rebecca Anzueto

7 year old train lover loved looking at the historic trains. They've done a great job at this all volunteer museum. The rail trip to Oaks Park and back was great, got to sit up front with the engineer. I have one very happy boy.

Thomas Pickering

Great place to visit and see the history of the American railways. Free to get in, but donations are welcomed and appreciated to keep the museum open. Staff is happy to answer any questions and give a tour through the facilities.

Allen Kennedy

Has some nice trains being restored by the staff on site, as well as some nice history of the rail system in Oregon. They have two rides your can pay for, a trip on a vintage train, which takes about 20 minutes, and a ride on a small kind of rail based open air car, which is pretty neat. Staff is knowledgeable and the gift shop is as expected. Wen on a fee open house day and the place was packed. Don't think I'd actually pay for a visit.

David Ng

Free museum which is good. Docents were a little gruff but they were all volunteers. Only one out of three were able to answer my questions about the mechanism of the steam locomotive. Otherwise its a great place to take kids.

Bryan White

You find yourself face to face with beautiful iron beasts of history as you walk around this place. The art deco Southern Pacific Daylight 4449 locomotive - the last of its kind - sits at rest, but you know that in short order it could be powered up and would be capable of pulling passengers to destinations far and wide, and would look stunning doing it. But for now, you can get right up close and personal with it, as just its wheels tower over you, not to mention the rest of the engine that sits upon them. And for the briefest of moments, you are transported back in time, to when steam was king, when the industrial revolution was happening all around, and modern history was still in the future. As you pass around the Oregon Rail Heritage Center, you'll also come face to face with several locomotives, cars, and equipment, and each one alone is in its own right worth the visit to the Center. For children, the experience will be totally different from that of adults, but your family will love having these experiences together. Entrance is free, but it's well deserving of your donation. If you visit on the weekend during the summer, make it a day of trains! Ride their train that goes to Oaks Park and back, and then be sure to coordinate with the Willamette Shore Trolley. Just take the Portland Streetcar or MAX across Tilikum Crossing, then the Streetcar south to Lowell. Get off and walk a block down Moody to Bancroft, and you'll find the station there. Take your kids to experience the wonder of the history of rail. You won't be disappointed.

Stacey MacD

Awesome Museum! Will be back to take a train ride. Everything was well thought out in a beautiful new building. Funny and informative greeters at the front door.

Austin Athman

A small but great rail museum where they are actively restoring engines right in front of you. Though several of the engines in the building you could walk up to, access for exploration other than looking in the window was blocked off. By request you could tour a passenger car and crew caboose in the rail yard. Several more engines outside were off limits. There is an optional train ride, where you can choose between two open sight-seeing cars, a caboose with seating in the upper viewing area, and a restored "high-class" sleeper coach. We chose to ride in the sleeper coach and explored its many rooms, vintage electrical features, and wood charm. Was a great experience. My young nieces and nephews loved riding in the upper part of the caboose, and though their parents found the $10 fee unreasonable, the vintage car we rode in was worth every penny. Would love to explore this place again. Information placards are hard to follow, especially if you know nothing of train and rail terminology.

Dale Erickson

Fantastic Museum. Has the Freedom Train 4449. Went on a weekday and had a Personalized Tour. Great place for any Train Enthusiasts

Graal 999

If you love trains go here.

chipp preece

amazing steam engines..from the old days..lots of parking..great for the young ones .

Steven Stringer

Interesting. Family friendly.

Timothy Vander Ploeg

What a really nice experience! The trains are just amazing. We got to walk through and get some neat pictures of these gigantic machines. They are just amazing and beautiful. I had no idea how much was involved just to make those older trains work. Definitely go and learn some history and engineering.

Melissa Williams

Great place for rail lovers.

Dayna Willms

The engines on display are very impressive and my kids also enjoyed the train tables. Getting to see inside the trains is their favorite thing, so I hope they will add more stairs for viewing. We enjoyed the trip down to Oaks Park- lots of options for seating in different cars.

Kathleen Smith

If you have any interest at all in steam trains, this place is great. I had no idea how big and complex these old trains were. Its nice to be able to be so close to history.

Also Anderson

They do fun events after hours

Shashank Kurm

Very good place for children and people interested in old technologies. The best thing is that you can see the engines from inside

Erica Ware

Waste of time and money. There are a few trains to look at and some information on the trains are available, but can't really touch them.

James Nieman

Great place, there were people playing live bluegrass when we were there. Close to OMSI too.

William Watkins

Great place for railroad history.

Amanda B

Great place especially for birthday!

Michael D'Agnilli

Definitely a place to bring kids

Jae Yslas

Wonderful experience for both the casual visitor and train enthusiasts alike. Our entire family attended the Portland Train Day, and it was a great local event.

Katie Abbott

October 2017, I decided to go on a Portland adventure. I drove, rode MAX, and walked in order to take pictures of any mural I came across. I had wanted to go to the ORHC for a long time. I was moseying around outside and decided to go inside. I didn't know to they sold train rides. Of course, I went! It was such a beautiful, little jaunt down the Spring water Corridor. If you have small children, sit inside and/or have to them wear ear protection; the whistle is loud (obviously).

Matt Uhlman

Quite the neat museum, showcasing the giant locomotives of yesteryear! We stopped in during the winter lights festival and not only found a bathroom and some ambient warmth, but also some great exhibits. They have a total of four large engines here, and it’s a different sort of museum than we’ve normally been to. There’s a lot of information on the types of engines, as well as how they compare to the newer models. In addition, there’s not a ton to crawl in or around. There are a couple places where you can look up inside the trains, but nothing that you’re able to walk through. That would definitely be a plus for the little kids! They had a lot of informative signage on the walls including a couple neat exhibits on most of the tracks around the state. There was also a presentation going on and the area looked like it was able to accommodate 100 or so folks. A nice plus! We got in for a donation and that was lovely! I think it’s $5-10 a person normally and every so often, it’d definitely worth stopping by!

Michael Haywood

Great place to visit for any train person. Staff was very friendly and provided good information about the engines on display.

Brian Bjornstad

If you want to see classic trains up close, there's no better place. All of the volunteers are incredibly friendly and happy to talk.

Barry Delker

Cool place to visit.

Roustam Kalbiev

Some awesome trains on display, it blows you away when you realize the size of these locomotives!!!! They do restoration work there and it's pretty cool to see it in action. Really cool place to take your kids if they love trains

Jim DeMarco

As a mechanic, I really enjoyed seeing the restoration process performed on these mega machines. Staff was accommodating and friendly.

Michael Purpura

Worth a quick stop, although it would be great if we could actually go inside some of the trains.

Kristen McGillivray

Great! Everyone is super friendly and eager to answer any questions you have.

Gabriel Donehey

Houses the SP&S 700 15 year restoration, and the home of Union Pacific 4449... The Freedom Train AKA Daylight Express.

Manases Ramos

Awesome place to go with the kids!

Arna Johnsen

Cool vintage trains. Visitors are able to get close and view the old locomotives. The volunteers are kind and friendly and there is a fun train ride that takes you alongside the river to Oaks park. Also a fun toy train play area for the little ones in the museum. Outside the kids can ring a bell that was from an old train. Slight downside is the many homeless people camped under the bridge along part of the train route. Brings down the mood a little. But the views of the water, the bridges and the natural habitat areas more than makes up for it.

Peri Periakaruppan

Wonderful train museum for your train lovers. We took our three year old who loves trains and he was most intrigued by the toy trains in the lobby :-) nevertheless he had fun and we enjoyed seeing the steam engines, Diesel engine and other cars that were very well kept for display. Thanks to all the volunteers that help put this together for the public!

Kolin Leishman

A great time for the whole family. Lots of historical information about the local area. A handful of amazing engines to see up close. We took the train from oaks bottom which made it even more special. Our daughter loved every moment!

John Kovac

World class train museum ! Grandchildren really enjoyed the train ride.

Paul Duncan

This is my second visit to see these huge steam locomotives. Glad to see things are progressing, and look forward to seeing the turntable being built and eventually operating. I think it might be an idea to get a small 040 or 060 tank engine to steam around the sidings. Would enable people to see an engine in steam far more frequently than steaming the big locos.

Mary Hayden

See and touch one of the largest steam locomotives in rail history. Learn the history of the Daylight #4449 and 3 other lovingly restored engines. Come when the engines are fired up from time to time! Tours and gift store available, too.

Dave Burrows

So cool to have a facility like this where these locomotives can be worked on by their crews while still being on public display.

Robert Paddock

The folk at this place are performing quite a feat in restoring these old (1930s perhaps) railroad locomotives to nearly pristine condition. Although not exceedingly large, I enjoyed all that they currently have on display. No admission fee is charged, but they urge a donation if possible - no pressure on that. They seem to be pleased to have visitors and make one feel welcome.

Irina Lisenkova

Astonishing place! As the trains and rail road history lovers - mom, dad and a little kid - we enjoyed to spend our weekends here. Always welcome staff and nice gift store. And a train ride!

Lydia F

Very well kept, if you are a rail buff go see it

Nikolai Vogt

Cool things

MaryKate Otto

I was disappointed that our tour guide could not provide the answers to the questions on the Scavenger Hunt for kids ages 8 and up. The display signage wasn't much help either for some of the questions.

Julie AV

What's better than free admission. Get up close to massive locomotives that are historically significant to Portland.

Jeff J

Thoroughly enjoyed the day we spent here. Wish they had more to see and do, but they are off to a good start. My son absolutely loved the train ride! Come visit and check out railroad history. Their huge Freedom Train exhibit was absolutely awesome!!!!

joyce hayes

What they had was quite good, but rolling stock is limited.

Dustin Schmidt

You cannot board the engines but you can look inside. The size of these engines are very impressive! Well worth the visit, admission is free

Paulette Withers

Great atmosphere and good food

Gary Nelson

Really cool train museum. Knowledgeable and friendly volunteers more than will to talk to you about the engines.

Thomas Mertz

You'll like it if you're really into trains. It has three restored steam engines, one of which pulled the Freedom Train in '76, plus a diesel. It's a working shop so you can't actually get inside any of the engines or other cars on site. Entrance by free will donation.

Kim Hanft

The kids love seeing these beautiful engines! I wish their hours were longer.

Dmitriy Bykov

Would be great to have access inside the locos.

Desiree Bradley

We got to see inside the cockpit of the train. So many knobs and levers! There are days where it's free and you can even ride the passenger train for 45 minutes at 5 dollars a person on Saturdays.

Matt Criblez

Free but give a donation. Great restored locos

Cullen Reid

Great railroad museum!

Bill Roberts

Fantastic to be so close to steam engine history. SP 4449 is a treasure and looks so elegant in her Daylight paint.

Carole Moore

We went to national train day. It was everything a train lover could ask for. My kiddo was not prepared for how loud the train whistles are in real life. Sound sensitive individuals might want noise canceling headphones.

Ranada Young

We love this place! So much fun!

Drew Hanft

Very cool to be up close and personal with some old steam and diesel trains. Check the running schedules ahead of time to make sure they're all in. We missed the Southern Pacific 4449 due to it running the holiday Christmas service. We'll be back to check it out again in the future.

Bryndl DenHerder

For what it is it is wonderful! Definitely made for older rail enthusiasts. My 2 year old still had a mega blast and the gift shop is awesome. And the volenteers were super friendly.

Tom Shaw

The 'Daylight' engine!

Judy McConathy

Amazing if you like steam trains. Lots of memorabilia. Fun for 2- 100+ aged people. You get to ring a bell and look up close at Steam Trains!!!! Play area for young children( Two sets of train tracks) volunteers on site to talk to and answer questions. Five dollar suggested donation. MT. Hood brewery across the st. Wood fired pizza at a reasonable price.

Brent Hasty

Train ride could be funner than just to omsi and back for the price

Alex

Awesome place to tale kids to learn about the regions rail history. Tour guides were very informative.

Sean Gugliuzza

I brought my unvaccinated nephew here, he absolutely loved it! Especially the ball pit in the play pen. Definitely recommend you to being your own kids too!

Dean Adams

Good and great place to go visit...

eva mae

I always love to come here during the Winter Lights Festival. I never get tired of looking at the trains.

Glenn Sullivan

Great place to see HUGE old trains.

Christopher Tait

Awesome place with friendly staff that are passionate about keeping railroad history alive.

sam landau

Amazing place. Have been here several times and always learn something new about trains. It is really cool to walk next to the giant steam engines and see inside the boilers. We had my son's 5th birthday here and it was great. All of the volunteers are tremendously helpful and friendly. Will definitely go back again. My kids are interested to go about once a month or so and as a free activity it is a regular place on our schedule.

Tim L

Free admission (donations encouraged but not required), knowledgeable staff, interesting displays, huge trains. Even if you just have 5-10 minutes to stop by and wander around after going to OMSI it's a worthwhile trip.

Ken C

Fun place! Growing up the son of a railroad man, I always loved the old school trains. This place doesn't disappoint!

Reece Nitschke

Beautiful steam trains on show while being restored. Great for kids and adults. Train rides available on certain days. Kids play area with toys. I often take my son when it's to wet for the park.

Crystal Alexander

Nice to see old trains. Would have liked to see inside passenger cars and how it may have looked back in the olden days. The trains are huge, and cool but more artifacts would have been nice. The smell was pretty strong (oil + grease?) So that was uncomfortable. Too many 'volunteers' standing around in entry way, very crowded just trying to walk in the door. Kind of awkward. They were friendly though.

Nicholas Morrell

Awesome place to kill an hour or two, plus it's free!

EntroPDX Consortium

The PNW needs more places like this, to preserve our occidental manifest destiny and noble heritage.

John Parmer

Super cool place to visit, friendly staff! Fun games for the kids plus a train ride. Must see.

Stanley Ekstrom

A very interesting place to see all sorts of old trains & equipment. Several are in the rebuilding stage so inner workings are visible.

Elana Chernobelsky

Fun experience especially during the Winter Lights Festival.

Irene B.

Highly recommended!! Great for families or just adults. We totally LOVED the Saturday train. Be sure to go and take your friends. We were surprised at hope much fun we thought it was. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Check out the Freedom Train exhibit closely, there are a lot of details including a mock up train. Well done.

Larry Sanarov

Good place to be acknowledge on the steam engines that built this country

Kefa Stuchlik

Are you, like me? Hooked on and seriously enjoy that time in our country, when rails ruled? Then do seriously consider viewing the vintage railroad experience on display at the Oregon Rail Heritage center, very near the OMSI Max station. There are several locomotives and some passenger cars as well as some other equipment. Currently there's no charge, but donations are gladly accepted. You'll find them open Thursday and Friday from 1-5 and Saturday and Sunday from 12-5. So, get on board ASAP!

Cathy Vittum-Wick

Couldn't climb on the trains and the train ride to Oak Park would have been beautiful if not for tent cities and garbage along the route!

GEORGE MARTIN

Who doesn't love a big giant train or three or four of them.

Jeremy Klitzke

Living museum where you can see crews maintaining, restoring, and occasionally operating steam locomotives. It's unusual among railroad themed museums to have access to the shops.

Chris Moth

Very interesting place to visit. If you have any interest in trains whatsoever then I would certainly suggest popping in and taking a look around. They have a few engines that are being restored on site in the custom-built building. It’s run by volunteers and survives on donations, grants and profits from the shop. Entry is free, and we were told that if we enjoyed it a donation we felt appropriate would be gratefully received - something that I would certainly encourage!

Gaberielle Gonzalez

Fun place. Our grand nephew had a birthday party here.

Glenn Pritchard

Home of the SP4449 and other classic steam engines.

Greg Lehman

I'm kind of biased as I used to work for the railroad. That being said, it's very interesting and informative. Worth a look.

Sean Basford

If you love real trains, stop by here!

Sam IAm

Dave made this trip the best trip ever! Love you Dave

Linea Johnson

So much fun! The kids loved looked at the trains and they even got to tour a caboose.

K W

Cool little place to check out, by donation. Nice older men working the front who we got to chatting with. Small place with a little gift shop but definitely worth stopping by.

Katie Horrocks

We went and looked around the Rail center when they had the light festival and had the Tesla coil show. The trains are impressive. Kids and adults enjoyed learning about the trains. Planning to go back when they have the train running to Oaks Park in the summer.

Adam Hough

Alright, first off, this place is free! They run on donations. What a place! Very cool. Ginormous train engines in various states of restorations. Lots of old maps, videos, and great volunteer staff that are very friendly. On Saturdays, you can purchase a train ride. Very interesting old time car that belonged to the main guy (forgot the title) and was fascinating. Great displays, solid gift shop, great volunteers. Consider strongly donating. ALL ABOARD!!!

Felipe Castillo

It's a great place to visit, specially if you're in a budget since it's free. We were lucky enough to see the train actually run, which is reserved only for members. Great place for awesome pictures! And very friendly and knowledgeable people.

Nancy grey

The train museum the perfect place for any train lover. They have train tables for the little ones, an awesome gift shop and of course beautiful trains!

Paul Kearney

An excellent museum any time but the train ride along the river on Saturdays is the best fun you'll have all week!

Lisa Emmerich

Ok if you like trains. Pretty small place, but there is no admission. Donations are accepted.

Jonathan E.

Steam Trains that all love.

Kristina Bunnell

Finally made it! Interesting and informative. The video was great. Loved seeing artifacts and doing the crafts also.

tyler lazz

This place has some super rare trains. The crew is great

Joanne Dority

Great place to learn about trains locomotives cabooses! Lots of volunteers help you to understand what’s going on. Donations are excepted. The goal is around house

Victor Wang

A stunning museum for museum lovers of any kind. Not a huge number of exhibits but it’s packed with information that really helps pique your curiosity for locomotive transport. The central stunning pieces are the multiple full sized locomotives that are still in working order and used seldomly on a yearly basis. Step up on the multiple display to get a close look at all the engines and conductor compartments. Got a sneak peek at the inside of one of the conductor compartments in a rare occasion. Come support this museum through an awesome train ride a couple miles away which run every hour or two. Considering the entire museum is absolutely free, this museum shouldn’t be missed whether you’re a local, or a visitor from any corner of the globe. Easy enough to get to on public transport and take advantage of the river walk trails nearby.

Graciela Matrajt

If you like trains this is a good place to visit

Ann Baum

Wonderful museum. Parking lot is hard to find. Restaurant across the street is fabulous.

Ryan Ruark

The Daylight is a beautiful piece of living history, and Portland's little ray of California sunshine. I've been a fan my entire life. I'm very grateful that ORHC exists to preserve these engines and educate the public.

Daniel Hernandez

A decent museum to kill some time. They have about 4 trains in the indoor display and features some few exhibits and a play area for children. One of their famed displays is Southern Pacific's Daylight #4449 and a wall telling the extensive history of the locomotive. They also feature a shop that sells books, novelties, photos, and train models

Ben Payne

Awesome place. You never fully appreciate the size of a steam locomotive until your standing next to one. You can do that here and the experience is incredible.

Laura Porras

Great place to learn about trains and railroad history. 4 year old grandson loves it. We go once a week. He plays on the kids train tables, there are two, and meets other children to play with.

Mike Moore

any railroad buff will geek out I know I did

Jennifer Bradley

Such an awesome place to take our 3 year old for a quick look at real train engines. Wooden trains up front to play extended our time there. Good displays of information for older groups to read (did not spend any time reading displays with our kids)

Dan Hansen

Awesome fun place to go. Amazing trains

john wilkes

Wonderful museum of steam (and the occasional diesel). Really knowledgeable, friendly docent, who popped up just when we wanted him, but also left us alone to wander.

Kyle Roy

Beautiful locomotives and super kid-friendly. Great birthday party spot

Pam Brian

The knowledge of the volunteers was great. The display of engines was amazing.

kenyatta Black

Great place to have a event! Very historic

A. Wong

Amazing experience here. The volunteers are awesome to visitors.

James Hopkins

We enjoyed our time at the railroad museum. The volunteers were great, very friendly and knowledgeable of the displays. We met people from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, New York and Texas in the span of about 45 minutes. The souvenir shop has some nice stuff and the restrooms are clean. This is a nice place to take family and friends for a little bit of Americana from the past.

Leben Basel

Trains, up close. The Daylight Express. SO COOL.

elin lewis

AWESOME place! Worth the visit!

Aerial Bear

Great museum with wonderful old steam engines and friendly knowledgeable staff - most of whom are volunteers.

Judy Williams

Very helpful, fun , and knowledgeable people. All eager to share about trains and show you around.

Stacey Riley

Children's play area, markdowns in the gift shop and an open-air train ride through a heron-laden greenway to Oaks (amusement) Park and back. Super fun way to spend three hours on a Saturday-- we spent two of the hours at the amusement park.

Kimie Ueoka

I so so want to give this place more stars but can't. The trains are pretty awesome but you can't really touch them or experience them. Sometimes you can look inside one, kind of. The volunteers are nice but not always kid-friendly. If they added a few interactive exhibits this place would be super cool.

John Waldron
